Bought a new smart amazon TV just before the start of the first lockdown as my wife and I are asthmatic and knew we would be spending more time at home. The TV was faulty and swapped after numerous phone calls....I actually spent a total of 8 hours on the phone, got cut off after holding for over an hour and promised several call backs that never happened, having to repeat the whole story everytime I called back to another unhelpful assistant. Not at all the kind of service I had expected from such a large company. The new TV developed a similar fault after a couple of months, just my luck to choose a model that obviously has issues but buying a jvc branded TV I thought it would be ok. It all started again. Several calls, hours on the phone, no promised callbacks, just cut off after being on hold for 78 minutes. Finally got hold of someone who agreed to exchange it for a new one and would pass me through to the right dept to arrange it...and then cut off again after 90 minutes on the phone. Absolutely infuriating!!! I have emailed several times and never had a response, have been on the online chat and cut off after waiting a long time. No one responds on any contact format, phone, email or online chat. Can anyone advise what to do next? Before we bought the TV we bought quite a few different appliances from Currys as we had recently moved home but my repeat business does not seem important whatsoever.

Ordered a Samsung Galaxy tablet and paid for it on the internet. Was looking forward to a Christmas delivery. I am STILL waiting for it almost a MONTH later. Really difficult to contact - queues of 30 or more! Eventually got through only to be told the item was out of stock & I would have to re-order. Cancelled - in disgust. Pathetic service and even worse customer relations.

Utterly Shocking and Appalling Customer Service! Wowee, quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever received! I purchased a 50" TV on 29th December 2020 from Curry's/PC world online, using my mobile phone. I selected PayPal as the payment option, using their pay in 3 and the first instalment was taken from my debit card. I received an order number in an email from Curry's, to state that the order was being processed and I would soon receive a delivery date. On the same purchase date I logged onto their chat to ask if I could change the delivery to a local store collection, but I was told that this could not be changed on their system. This was fine and completely understandable. I waited a few days and had not received an update and tried to give them a call to enquire about the delivery date, but could never get through to a human. I then logged on to chat a subsequent three times and each time I was told that my order was being processed and that I would receive an update via email. On the 3rd Jan 2021, I spoke to another agent via chat, and I was informed that the order had been delayed. The agent assured me that he would urgently push the order through and I would receive an update in a day, and delivery within 3-5 days. On 5th Jan, after hearing nothing I finally got through to an agent via the phone. I was informed that due to a glitch in the system, at the time of purchase that the order would never come and that the only option was to cancel. He explained that this happens sometimes and they do not know why, and that it cannot be overridden. He cancelled the order and I received an email to confirm that the order had been cancelled AT MY REQUEST! He explained that I would be refunded in 3-5 days. I asked whether I could receive a discount upon repurchasing, due to all of the hassle, I was told no as it was not his department. I contacted TeamKnowHow on Twitter and explained the situation and asked who would be able to authorise a discount on the next purchase. The message I received is as followed. "Hi. I understand that your experience with us has been frustrating. Please let us know when you have placed a new order and we will see what we can do for you in terms of a goodwill gesture. For example we would be able to refund a quick delivery charge. Thanks Jodie." So, the solution was for me to pay extra for delivery, despite there being a free delivery option. Then to run through circles in an attempt to contact Curry's/PC World for a refund as a "gesture of goodwill"- simply laughable! Fast forward a few days, no update on the refund (surprise!). I called PayPal on 10th Jan and was informed that they had not been informed of a refund from Curry's/PC World but that as I had spoken to them last Tuesday, I should have an update by the upcoming Tuesday at the latest. Still having heard nothing, I logged on to online chat on Tuesday 12th Jan and spoke to an agent called Akash, I was told: "As we have checked that there was not payment captured. Please contact your bank." I explained the PayPal payment via my debit card but was still told that there was nothing on their system and to contact the bank. I called Curry's/PC World again and spoke to a lady who informed me that the refund had in fact been processed on their end and that I should receive an update soon. I had since checked and the TV had increased from £399 to £429 (though I had already made the decision to purchase elsewhere) to humour myself I enquired about receiving it for the originally purchased price. I was told that they could IF THE ORDER HAD BEEN CANCELLED BY THEM, I mean really? I would also have to contact them after purchasing, to then be refunded the difference- no way I was falling for that trap! Fast forward to today, 14th Jan. I called PayPal again and spoke to a lady who informed me that they had not received a refund from Curry's/PC World. She kindly explained that lots of customers had unfortunately been receiving poor service from Curry's/PC World recently and advised that a dispute should be opened. This saga has been ongoing for over two weeks and is finally being handled by a competent company. Take this as a cautionary tale when purchasing from Curry's/PC World online. Poor service, ridiculous wait times when communicating and zero accountability.

Bought a fridge freezer 6 months ago. Developed a fault (freezer not working) 3 weeks ago. Fault reported. Repair man came but repair wasn't successful. The second time he came out couldn't diagnose the fault. I asked for a replacement or a refund, he said he would see what he could do. I've been without my fridge freezer not working for over 3 weeks now. With the covid lockdown am I supposed to run the gauntlet of buying food every day? I'm 73 years old and don't need CURRYS making my life any harder through lack of common sense.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY Exchanged ipad as faulty and not recieved the new one after 7 days. Queues on phone of at least an hour to talk to someone. I have had to call each day over 3 days (so far) with no solutions to my issue and no call back as promised. Would not issue a new one in good time due to low stock (basically they want to be able to sell to new customers but not bothered they have my £350 and I have no iPad.) Terrible service- wish I'd read the reviews first

Since November 2020 I have attempted to have a washing machine delivered to my home . Each time someone in my household has taken the day of work and each time the delivery driver has given an excuse for failed delivery. The last straw was sending g in a docket note saying I lived on a red route ... nobody rang the door bell, nobody parked I the box outside of my home that allows 30 minutes but worse of all the driver did pull into my driveway which is obviously off street parking. I will NEVER use Currys again... I am so disappointed in a company than has been trading for years. I was given the email address to send a complaint which I did only to receive a reply email advising me that the service is no longer in use, and redirected me to the customer service... to a web chat with a robot that cannot help and customer service officers who aren’t interested and refer you to the complaint email that doesn’t exist....NEVER AGAIN

I ordered a Grundig fridge freezer last week to be delivered today 11/1/21. I paid £439 for delivery and fitting and removal of my broken fridge freezer. I was sent a confirmatory email with my purchase number and a text confirming delivery today. The fridge was due to arrive between 4pm - 7pm on 11/1/21. It did not arrive and the tracker page stopped working for me around 5pm. I could not get through to a human being on the only helpline number and I waited 40 minutes to gave a 'web chat' with a real person (I was 123rd on the list). When I got through I was told that my fridge freezer was out of stock so couldn't be delivered. Isnt it fraud to sell something that doesnt exist? I ave just checked the Currys's website and the Grundig fridge freezer I ordered is still being advertised on sale there so presumably more people are going to fall for this scam. I have been told I will get my money refunded between 3 - 5 days. However from looking online it may take longer than that. In the meantime I still have no fridge...

i bought a fridge freezer from you with a 2 year warranty clearly stated on the web site but when it stopped working after about 18 months eventually after getting to speak to someone in currys they told me i had only 1 years warranty and would not listen to me when i told them to look at the web site as it still states 2 year warranty , now they changed it on the web site to 1 years warranty but i have the photo of the site from last week where it was 2 years warranty , this is an absolute disgrace from a company like this totally pathetic aftersales and very dismissive staff. i would certainly avoid them in future . i emailed dixons regarding this and after a week still nothing

AVOID USING THIS COMPANY Ordered something and paid for next day delivery. Come 5pm the next day I contact the webchat to ask if the product is still being delivered as I have yet to receive any delivery email and get told it will be delivered by 8pm that night for sure. Contact support the next day after not receiving my order and get told it is out of stock. what happened to the one that was going to be delivered for sure by 8pm. You'd have better chance speaking to any animals in a zoo than getting through to the support here.

I wanted to buy a soundbar which came with a free pair of wireless headphones online. However, there were no stores within 100 miles of me which had both items. Before i ordered online i spoke with currys customer services and was told to order the couldbar (which was avalable albeit 50 miles away) and on my way home to call in at my local branch (who had stock of the headphones) who could then do a "Refund & Resale" to include the headphones. It turns out that this information is a total lie! Having been to my local store twice (i had to go a second time as i had left the card i purchased with at home) only to be told they cannot do this (then why did you need my card?). I then resorted to calling Customer Services who were less than useless (rude, arrogant and unhelpful). They suggested i return the soundbar (another 50 mile journey) and then reorder it when both items are in stock locally (although they had no idea if or when this would be. I am currently awaiting a delivery from Currys of 2 other items which i will now be returning and i will purchase elsewhere - i will not use them again if this is how they treat a customer who has been given incorrect information by a member of their staff. Disgraceful.

paid £100 for my Rangemaster to be installed when it was delivered today! I was VERY distappointed when the installer informed me that he was unable to install the cooker because we hadn’t got the LPG gas nozzle. We had no idea we needed this, and he wasn’t informed that we were a LPG! We had the conversion kit- but no one said we needed this nozzle!!!! We live on a hill farm in the country and I have young children who I need to feed! Teamknowhow need bettter communication with their customers, a phone call a week/couple of days before to inform us what we need would of saved a lot of hassle. Also somewhere we could note that the cooker is LPG. Also you need better communication with your installers as he had no idea the cooker needed to be converted to LPG. We will never pay for installion from you again as your customer service and communication is very poor!

I purchased a gas cooker for my Mother & also paid for it to be installed & for the old one to be taken away. Whilst installing they managed to drill through a power cable but failed to notify either myself or my Mother of this. It was found out when an electrician was rectifying a none working wall socket. I have written to Curry's twice & asked for an explanation & both times have not been answered. Absolutely disgusted by their poor customer service

Avoid and stay clear of Curry’s PC World even if they are the cheapest. I recently ordered a TV through click and collect and failed to receive an email to confirm the order. Luckily I printed the order receipt before leaving the page. When going into the store the next day (Wisbech Store), I was told that there was an error with my order (1st lie) and that it had been automatically cancelled. I then asked when I would get a refund and I was told that the payment would simply be cancelled (2nd lie). It is not possible for pending payments to be simply cancelled as they stated and my bank confirmed so. I then called customer services back and was told that the refund was held in a holding account and my bank had to release the funds (3rd lie). My bank said that this is completely false and the bank do not hold the refunds in any such account. After another call I was told that the refund had been incorrectly processed and it would have to be manually put through. After 4 days I was still waiting to receive a refund so I called for the 3rd time, at which I was told the refund would take 3-5 working days to be processed. After waiting exactly 5 days I finally received the refund for the item that I never received. In hindsight I am glad that I didn’t actually receive an item as Curry’s are not a company that I would ever want to deal with if something went wrong. Curry’s PC World are untrustworthy who lie, make stuff up, and fob their customers off. For the extra £10,£20,£30,£40 in saving is it really worth experiencing the terrible customer service many customers like I did? Probably not. All I can say is that is to stay clear from this company, as I will, and hopefully they will realise that treating customer’s in the same way they treated me is not a good long term strategy.

Ordered a fridge in November it was meant to be delivered within 21 days but nothing and no updates from them, finally got hold of them to be told it was out of stock...leaving me with no fridge over Christmas, if they had let me know I could have had a refund and got a new fridge in time for Christmas from somewhere else, was told new delivery would be in by 30th December but still nothing, they have also taken product support payments from my bank that I didn't agree to... I am appalled at their service in every aspect and would not recommend or use them again

Ordered £700 TV for parents in their 90's housebound as old one broken. Bought on line, item in stock at local store. No email confirmation or pick up advice received despite waiting to speak to virtual assistant in queue of 156 for ages. Totally rubbish service and hugely disappointing for my poor parents. Wouldnt buy anything thing from Currys again. My advice to anyone is go elsewhere. Currys don't even value their customers sufficiently to allow the courtesy of being able to speak to anyone on the phone.
