If there were a poster child for horrible customer service, it would be Dell. I didn't think any customer support could be worse than United Airlines, but Dell managed to surpass even United. My Dell computer became so slow over time that it was almost useless. I contacted Dell customer support, described the symptoms and was told they could fix it for $99. They said I wouldn't even have the send the machine out for repair. They would fix it using a remote connection. I figured it was worth the investment since I couldn't buy a new computer for $99, and they guaranteed it. If they couldn't fix it, I would get my money back. It took a week, and at least three sessions with technicians working on the machine for several hours, and several broken promises to contact me within a certain time range to begin these sessions, and a full reset that required my reinstalling all software and moving all content to my Google Drive ... but at the end of all that, my computer was ... as slow as ever. True to their word, the technical said my $99 would be refunded. When I received my credit card statement nearly a month later, I noticed the charge for the $99 was there from Dell but no refund. Thus began another ordeal during which I called Dell (all support personnel sounded like they were in India), waited on hold for 50 minutes. I was then told that I would need to talk to the Tech Support team, not the Customer Care team, which I'd called. This seemed very odd. So I was transferred to Tech Support and after a much shorter wait, the call was answered and I was told that, in fact, I needed to talk to Customer Care. The Tech Support person did not understand why Customer Care had transferred me to Tech Support. She promised to transfer me to a supervisor. After another long wait, I ended up back in -- you guessed it -- Customer Care. The agent asked me to hold for a minute or two while he checked "the notes," and after another few minutes on hold the call was disconnected. No one called back, even though they had my phone number. This was the start of Day 1 of three days of waiting on hold and getting the runaround from phone agents and chat personnel. A supervisor in Customer Care sent me back to Tech Support. Again, Tech Support (a chat agent this time) said I needed to call Customer Care, so I made him stay on the line while I called Customer Care. We waited together an hour and a half on hold until my call was finally answered. I sighed with relief. The voice that answered said the department was now closed. Please call back tomorrow. I persisted and finally got the refund by the end of the week, but I promised I would take appropriate action against Dell for probably the worst customer service experience of my life. This post is part of that appropriate action. I hope I have convinced you to never buy a Dell. Whatever you might think you are saving on the machine, it isn't worth having to deal with the worst customer service operation on earth.

I had bought a 3583 i5 in India and in 3 months the hard drive has stopped working which was within warranty period. The customer support extremely sad, they put you on hold for 40 mins and still do not take calls. They also have a whatapp chat and even there they reply after 12 hours. After following up for 3 days, their engineer came and changed my hard drive, but did not come with Windows 10 and MS office. Now, I am again chasing them for getting this installed. Today was lucky after 25 mins of holding period, got to speak to service engineer, but he also could not arrange to send an engineer to get my system running. he has send a mail to me with steps...I need to go a buy a 16 GB pen drive to do the steps ..great going Dell Team !!! Question is - 1. Does you tech team know, that when you change hard drive of a machine windows need to be reloaded ? 2. In case they know, why can't they carry the required software ? It is like if I had a puncher of my car tyres, the repair shop would only repair the puncher, they would not fill up air and put your tyres back on the car !! Really unhappy that I invested money to buy Dell products, would never buy again neither advice people to ever buy Dell Products. I haven't seen such poor and dim-witted level servicing

I ordered a desktop computer in March 2020. Was delivered in April. The 2 monitors ordered with the computer had the wrong cables. The salesperson with Dell ordered them at Amazon at his cost.... Shortly after that the computer broke down (randomly shut downs). Tooks more than a month to get a replacement. I let them know that I am abroad on a business trip and they should not send the computer. But of course they shipped despite knowing that now one is here. After my return, got the delivery and tried to hook the computer to WiFi.... No chance, they forget to install WiFi on the replacement computer. Filed a complaint, no response for 3 weeks. Actually I am in the hotline for 1 hour and 15 minutes. NEVER, NEVER in my life I would buy again from Dell. I would by locally even if the price is dubble. The most terrible business experience I ever had. And I am a business owner since 1994

Their after sales service is useless. Tech support is useless and they refuse to send a tech to my home as per their warranty for repairs. I was left to do my own repairs. Lucky I can find my way around the hardware and fixed the sucker myself. Always used to have HP for my business and then personal and always had great service.

I hate this computer. Everything about it. I never leave reviews anywhere, but I'm doing it for this one. I have one for work, and I swear I have problems with it left and right. The biggest one is the audio. I can't plug my speakers in or transition to my ear buds without MAJOR issues. Then I can't get the sound to work from anywhere. Then I finally get it working, and jump on a Zoom only to find that none of it will work again. Never mind all the random other glitches, or the Fn key that popped off, despite almost never being used, or the battery that needed replacing after 6 months, or the fact that it won't "sleep", because it just turns back on after ten minutes and will hum all night and I'll wake up with it burning hot and so I have to turn it off even if I'm just going for a walk... I could likely deal with all of that if it weren't for the sound crapping out 5 times a day. I have given this laptop to our tech team and had them fix it already, and it just futzed out again without me doing anything out of the ordinary. If I didn't have to use this laptop for work, I would never go near it again.

I purchased A Dell Precision 7750 for that cost over $5000.00 with Pro Support, Next Day Onsite Service and Complete Care / Accidental Damage. The value of these services Zero I purchased all this and The Dock NX 430 the Dock Doesn't charge the Laptop and I replaced the one hard drive from Dell with 4 1TB Samsung EVO Plus hard drives the laptop was sold with the advertised ability to be setup in RAID well the laptop's RAID configuration is only seeing 3 of the 4 drives windows and the BIOS sees all 4 drives and they are all the same. Dell will not support the Laptop due to the fact that I did not buy the drives from them. so upgrading the top of the line drives voided all my support services. Got to admit they must make a killing on selling the service and not having to provide it. They sell high end computers with all the talk then kick you to the curb.

I wanted to buy the Dell Vostro 3491 during the August Freedom sale 2020 which offered 10% discount on ICICI credit cards till 31August 2020. It has been a horrible experience to say the least. Firstly, I was unable to choose the warranty specifications that I wanted due to the glitches in the website. The same continued for as long as a week. Once this was finally resolved after repeated follow ups, the payment for the laptop could not be made through ICICI credit cards. I tried through multiple ICICI credit cards from multiple devices but the payment just wouldn't go through. Several follow ups with the Dell team just resulted in an unnecessary delay. They extended the offer to 5 September, but the payment gateway was still not accepting ICICI credit cards. What is the point of providing an offer which is not being processed at all. It is an absolute mockery. The amount of time wasted on buying on simple laptop is utterly frustrating to say the least. From 2nd week of August to today, the problem hasn't been resolved. Will never buy from Dell again.

WARNING on BAD customer experience from Dell Corporation. OK everyone, you know I never post anything like this but after my horrendous experience with Dell Corporation I felt compelled to speak out on this. Last week I placed an order with them to purchase an extra monitor - and performed a guest check out using PayPal. I never received a purchase confirmation from Dell but I did receive a PayPal confirmation for the amount of $737.47. So on my Friday when my monitor did not arrive, I called Dell. I spent an hour and a half on hold... Were they closed? Don't know! An hour and a half on hold was plenty enough. I decided I'd wait until today to call. Today I have spent TWO HOURS being hung on, transferred, etc... I have heard everything from the department I need to speak with is closed (Tuesday September 8th at noon), to "we need your order number (to which I cannot provide because Dell never provided one). Dell doesn't have my name, number, address associated with an order in their system *BUT* they have my $737.47. PayPal says they can't do anything for 30 days. After 30 days I can submit a dispute. I have experienced some wacky customer service in the past, I have experienced incompetent customer service before. But I have NEVER experienced such horrible and incompetent service as this. Dell, INC. has taken the "Poor Customer experience" to an entirely new low level. To give you a better idea of just how bad the service has been... I had a better experience with dealing with the public IRS information line. I would have rather dealt with the DMV and that's not an exaggeration. I will NEVER EVER purchase an item from Dell ever again... Fair warning to the rest of you!

Very horrible experience with customer care. I am corporate customer and still didnt got any response for my laptop from anywhere . Service centre will not accept laptop and they will ask to contact customer care. You can keep on trying wholeday no one will pick your call. My laptop is only 3 month old and suddenly 1 day laptop screen became black. Nothing was visible. From 20 days i am trying to get it fixed but no one is bothered to fix. If this is the condition for laptop under warranty what can i expect them if it will be old.

After only two years of owning my Dell Inspiron, my laptop had hardware issues that caused my computer to malfunction; my keyboard would light up, but the screen remained black. The whole experience with Dell has been beyond frustrating. After dealing with customer service (I will tell you that in a minute), I was finally told it was a hardware issue, and if I send it in, they will fix it. I spent $40 to send it in, then I chose to spend the $260.00 they quoted me to fix it, and I spent another $80 for an extended warranty. A week later, my laptop was returned, UN-REPAIRED, with THE SAME PROBLEM! When I tried to call customer service, I was told it is a United States holiday (it is not, today is Wednesday, September 2) and the the customer service department is closed. Every time I have tried to contact Dell, I get put through an inefficient automated system that directed me in circles, got placed on hold for too long, and eventually talked to someone in India who would transfer me again. Dell has caused me so much wasted time, wasted money, stress, and anxiety. The issue remains unresolved. I expected more from Dell.

I purchased a dell inspiron 3580 in June 2020 for my personal use, however it worked fine for a little over two months only to wake up one morning to a blank screen with colored lines. After moving the screen back and forth it became obvious that the LCD was damaged. This is my second dell laptop from with the same LCD screen issue. This is no coincidence, I believe that dell laptops are not good quality. I would not recommend them to anyone. For two days I was back and forth on the phone with accidental support and premium support and they were not very helpful. Overall the protocol which didn't make sense to me, was to pay for shipping, diagnostics, parts and labor. Dell is a very inconsiderate company with no empathy for its customers. This is a fairly new laptop they could at least replace the LCD as a courtesy to say the least; especially seen now I have in my possession not one but two dell laptop's with the same LCD issues. SHAME ON YOU DELL for your poor customer relations and services.

We purchased a Dell Inspiron computer in May 2020. It is the worst laptop we have ever purchased. Dell also stated we would have American support, which was also a lie. We have had two computers so far and have had to return both. Dell had so little confidence in their products that they refused to supply us with a different model refurbished product. Do not ever buy the junk products now being produced by Dell. Thank you

I bought a Dell Inspiron directly from Dell.com in 2018, which is about two years old now. The laptop has been very slow ever since I bought it. I never returned it even though I never loved it, because it was our secondary machine. I hardly ever use, but now, it won't charge, and the warranty has expired. Dell wants $39 just to diagnose the problem, plus whatever it costs to fix it. Who knows what they'll charge for that. It could literally be any amount. The customer no-service rep lacked empathy and did nothing to help me. This is the first and last Dell I'll ever own, and I suggest that you never have a first Dell.

I would never ever ever EVERRRR purchase another product from dell. EVERRRRR!!!!!! I purchased a laptop in 2017, the computer never worked from day 1!!! I spent countless hours on the phone with IT with absolutely no help! One night, I spent about 2 hours on the phone with someone who had no clue how to help! She even told me to go ahead and have dinner with my family and she would hold for as long as I needed her to while she worked in my computer. I got back on the phone and still NOTHING! So I told her I would just call back another time because we had spent too much time on the phone already. I gave up on the computer and stopped using it. Recently, about a week ago, I started a small business and thought I would go ahead and use my computer. Dell has some sort of protection program that they force on you throughout the time you’re on the computer. Which is one of the reasons I stopped using it because the pop ups were unbearable. Every time I sat the computer down it shut off completely, it ran very slow and always freezes up. So back to 2020 and starting my business. I’ve been using the computer for about a week. I decided not to go with dell and purchase a security program that I’m familiar with and use at work and other devices. I got on my laptop this morning and a system scan keeps coming up and won’t let me go any further. So I call technical support... after being on the phone with them for so long, they tell me there was malware detected on my computer and I would have to pay $129 for 3 days of their protection coverage in order to be able to use my laptop again. Lol!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me!!!!!!!!?????????? I told them I pay for protection and they say unfortunately a bug is in your computer and for the safety of you, dell will not let you access your computer and since your warranty is expired you will have to pay in order for me to assist you!!!! I will NOT pay another penny to you! Buying this computer was the biggest SCAM of all time!!

Bought a £2000+ XPS laptop. Would not always boot up on mains, recognise external hard drives and occaisional crashes. an unpredictable occurance. Reported poss issue in July shortly after receiving it. Did not improve and in aug they refused to replace an obviously unreliable laptop, insisting it had to be remedied via phone calls, updates and reinstalls. In other words try try and keep trying until you get so frustrated you give up and accept a substandard laptop and customer care, whilst having an unreliable laptop. They think this is good customer service!!! A more caring and professional service should be given, not this pathetic excuse for one. Tried their updates and tweeks, problems were still there. How much more frustration are customers expected to endure!!!??? If it's not reliable, replace the thing as per sale of goods implied terms act. Dell must think they are above the law by refusing to do so.

I regret the day i placed the order for Dell inspiron on 24th july 2020 from dell official site. I took 2 days for financial approval. The expected delivery was 8 days after placing order. Then after a week, dell postponed my order. I tried reaching them on customer care number and it goes on waiting for 30 to 45 minutes and disconnects. I raised service request and no reply. Week after week they kept on postponing my order. I raised 3 service requests and no reply. Luckily i spoke once after 2 weeks delay and they said parts shortage. Why the hell DELL then accepted order and approved finance ?? Finally on 24th August 2020 (after 4 delays and 6 service requests ) i was lucky to speak dell customer care and canceled the order. They agreed to refund 100% Now I am waiting for cancellation and refund status and yet no update. Genuinely in this fast paced world, how much time is required to simply cancel the order and refund ?? Also at least the order which was still in only initial confirmed state. WORST customer care !! every time the call goes on waiting for 45 minutes, if u r lucky you will be able to speak, they don’t reply on mail, they don’t take any action on service requests. After paying approx 70k i was behind DELL all the time for updates, waiting 30+ mins on every call, raising service requests and finally waiting for refund. I GENUINELY suggest everyone to go for Amazon, flipkart etc at least they are serious for delivery, updates, cancellation and refund. NEVER EVER BUY LAPTOP FROM DELL OFFICIAL SITE.

First, I couldn't start this without giving you one star, or else it would have been 0. I made an order and get a cancellation email. I call 3 times (sucker for punishment) to try and find out why it was canceled. When I don't get an answer after being transferred everywhere, they transfer me to the disconnect line. EVERYTIME! All they want to do is restart the order, but what canceled it. I see by this website that I must not be the only one. They care nothing about customers except their money. By the way, they never tried to take my money and it was their for their taking.
