I am a loyal customer at Dillard's for many years and was always very happy. I am a widow but having big family and Dillard's is my therapy. I love buying gifts for all my children and grandchildren, and other relatives. I live in Salina Kansas, where Dillards store was closed, so I am shopping at Manhattan Mall where there is Dillards store. I was always treated very good by employees there. But few weeks ago I was shopping for some birthday gifts and needed to pick up few items at the cosmetics department. When I went to that beauty department I was just shocked to see a wild behavior of three employees there. They are very young, they were on their phones listening to the music dancing ,rather inappropriate for ladies and for a business place, shaking their bottoms. One girl shook her dress so high that you can see her underwear. They were laud, laughing and talking using vulgar language( as we used to call it a talking like sailor). It looked more like a drunken party rather than cosmetics department. I approached them and ask for assistance at the Clinique counter. Yong blond girl (her name is Kaylee) came to help. At first she was nice and explained that the item i am looking for was discontinued and proposed to get new formula. I wasn't sure I am ready to buy it without trying it first and asked her to make me a sample,, and also asked some questions about the difference of the foundation. But this is when she became very irritable and was answering short and rather rude. Its hard to explain her tone and the manner of communication, but she was irritable because I was asking so many questions. Finally, when I was leaving, I heard how she told the other girls: "This woman is F****g bitch". Wow!!! I was never treated lie that by anyone in any retail store. That day I promised myself I will never come back to dillard's. Few days later my sister insisted to go to Dillards to buy something for her grandchildren. we passed by cosmetics and the same girls were there. Same behavior, faul language, laud laughter. Shocking!! Where the class and style of old Dillard's disappeared? What happened? where do you find people like that? Where is the department and store managers are? Don't they see what is going on in their store? My sister told me that i have to talk to a store manager. Unfortunately , the store manager wasn't there, and I decided to write her an email. This Monday I wrote am email to Dillard's at Manhattan TOwn Center and described my unpleasant and horrible experience. To my surprise I never received an answer from the manager with some apologies. None. I decided to stop at dillard's yesterday to talk to a manager but she already left. I went to see if there some changes in behavior at cosmetics department, and the same girls are still there (Kaylee, Ashley and Lexi), one with inappropriately short dress is flirting with a male customer, another one on her phone and smiling to the screen, and third (the one who called me f** bitch), saying something laud to the other girl and both laughing. I remember days when dillard"s stores where so nice, with the nicest people working, with great customer service. Dillards stores always were class and style. Not anymore. Of course, there are still nice ladies at Manhattan Dillard"s, and in the cosmetics department. I finally decided to to that department one more chance, and to ask for help a lady almost my age. I don't remember her name because its unusual, she speaks with an accent. This lady was very professional, patient and very helpful. I will definitely shop at cosmetics but ONLY with that one woman. Also want to mention ladies from women's clothing - Becky, Ruth, Virginia, those ladies always are very helpful. Really hoping that Dillard's store in Manhattan will find much better people to represent their company company, real professional , polite, caring.

This store does not stand behind there items at all!! Poor customer service!!!!! A very expensive bike for my granddaughter came damaged - bent vendor, rusted pedals!!! They would do NOTHING to assist me - it was outside return time, it was purchased in advance and not opened until today!! I will NEVER purchase from them again and I would advise you not to either!!!!!

I personally shop at Dillards so was very disappointed when I did an online order for earrings and was sent cheap versions of what was listed. Unable to return because they were on “clearance”. The clearance price I paid was 4 times more than I feel the actual item I received was worth. Don’t bother shopping online here, they are just sending out junk. Scam

Ordered a bridesmaids dress online. My order arrived with a completely different dress, wrong size and no packing slip. Called to voice my problem “we will email you with what steps you need to take.” Two days without an email I made another call. “I’m sorry ma’am we’re sold out of that dress.” Dillards: if you want to be competitive with online shopping market pull your head’s out and step it up! Note: I wanted to upload images but the site didn’t allow it!

My husband bought me sandals which were too small, he bought a size up and apparently didn’t return them on time. The new ones are defective one buckle on the left of ankle and the other on right of ankle. They had the sandals and returned them to us. Shame shame shame on them. I was going to buy the flamingo sandals but would NEVER buy from them again. I pray they go out of business, I will have a huge party wearing my Mitch matched sandals!

I will NEVER purchase anything from Dillards again due to their very selfish 30 day return policy. I found out after 30 days that the item I purchased was not suitable for the occasion. I let the customer service person know that I would be happy with a store credit, but NO, Dillards is going to keep my money and I have a dress that I most likely won’t ever wear. DO NOT BUY FROM DILLARDS if there is a possibility that you may need to return the item! I cut up my Dillards credit card!! If it were possible, I would have left a 0 review!

DO NOT GET A CREDIT CARD HERE! THEY CHARGE OVER 30 PERCENT INTEREST! HORRIBLE WHILE MR. DILLARD IS A MEGA MILLIONAIRE. THEY DON'T DO A LOT OF TRAFFIC IN TOLEDO OHIO EITHER SO THEY'LL PROBABLY CLOSE THE STORE WHICH I'M HOPING THEY DO. DO NOT SHOP AT THE STORE, DO NOT GET THE CREDIT CARD I CLOSE MINE OUT I HAVEN'T EVER USED IT AND I WILL NOT EVER AGAIN.

After buying a dress within the last 2 weeks, and then seeing that went on sale over the weekend, I asked for a price match. Customer Service said “Dillard's does not participate in price matching or issue price adjustments.” So I’ll be returning that dress for a full refund and will remember that they do not need to retain customers - even in this economy. They lost a customer over $64, btw.

Multiple poor customer experiences. Rude, jumping through hoops. Can't believe the return policies and how long Dillard's has had my money

Don’t buy any perfumes at Dillard’s I recently made an expensive in-store perfume purchase at Dillard’s. After wearing it several times I found realize I was having an adverse reaction to it. Within a month I took it back to the store with the box and receipt and was told since I opened the box I couldn’t return the fragrance. That’s just the worst customer service I’ve had a department store. I’ve purchased make up from department stores in the past (which I’d used) and returned it, no questions asked! Now I’ve spent over $200 for a perfume at this store and not even offers a store credit!!What kind of customer service is this? I WILL NEVER SHOP AT DILLARD’s AGAIN!! That why many people these days use AMAZON to avoid all this inconvenience and loss.

30 day return policy is terrible. I was buying a dress for son’s wedding. I tried it on, it was too big, I didn’t get it sent back until about 40 days after purchase. I did not realize the short turn around for returns, which is on me, but it is a ridiculous time period. I will never spend another dollar at Dillards.

For the people complaining about not being able to return an item after the 30 day policy….donate it if y’all don’t want it no more, y’all know Dillard’s can’t resell it after it’s already been used

If I could give less than a 1 I would. I read the policy, and my receipt and went to return. The customer rep said it was 30 days of purchase. NO WHERE does it say that. They are scamming people. I will NEVER order from Dillards again.

I truly feel that I was racially profiled. I went into to Dillard's on June 13, 2024 to look around for sales and/past time. I felt like I was at a car lot. I was bombarded and followed in every area I went. I went to smell some perfumes, and the woman at the counter came around the counter to watch me smell the perfumes. She was barely 3ft away. I felt so uncomfortable. I told her I didn't need any help, and that I was just smelling the fragrances. She looked at me and said that's fine, and proceeded to watch me. There were other people in the store but I needed supervision at her counter I guess. I was very annoyed so I walked off to look at some Bogg bags and I saw her from afar watching me. I was so aggravated. It was so embarrassing because I had my children with me. I finally just left. I tried to be optimistic about the encounter, because I was in the store for maybe 20 minutes. But who knew that you had a time limit to shop.

I can see from the reviews I am not the only one that finds Dillards return policy awful. I ordered two of the exact same dress for an event in May—two different sizes as I was unsure which would be the best fit. I returned the brand new dress, in the size I decided not to keep, just a few days beyond the 30 day window. The dress was on my doorstep today with a note saying no returns after 30 days. I contacted customer service to see if I could perhaps get store credit because my return was so soon after the deadline. I was advised with no hesitation that the policy is strict and that I cannot return or receive credit. The agent didn’t even pretend to look into my concerns. Moving forward, I will be shopping with more customer friendly companies. Based on your reviews, it appears I am joining quite a few others in saying that you lost a customer today.

Dillards in Collierville has the most unethical Employee in their history. Micah claimed to be a " Manager". I watched the video of him yelling and screaming at this woman. Falsely accusing her if fraud! He obviously lied. He behaved like a maniac. While she calming asks why did you "FLAG MY GIFT CARD AND STEAL MY MONEY". He then calls security. She shows her Id and card to JIMMY he say" "What am I supposed to do with that " lets go get out of my store! I want you out. Obviously Dillard's is his store as she complies and is leaving. He is behind her on the escalator making horrible remarks she's holding her phone up recording. She says you are nasty person and he said oh I'm going to get even nastier when I get to the door . He does he can be heard stating if you come back in my store I'm going to stick my foot up your. @--calling her a black ghetto b word and saying more things that I rather not type as she that talks to him he says that he doesn't give a duck and Dillard's won't do spit. He can be seen is on this video he is a white older Slender Man with messed up teeth. It really touched me when I seen this video because this woman has my last name it let me know that it could have easily been me. Dillards should be ashamed. But nine times out of 10 they are not please go watch the video. I wouldn't recommend shopping here to anyone!!!!

I have been a loyal customer for years, and everyone in women’s shoes and misses knows me by name. Today a new employee shows up and wants to do things her way. I have been a cardholder for years, and I know I have 60 days to return an item, but she wouldn’t return it for me. She returned one and not the other. Then she asked for my DL even though she knew who I was from the first item returned on my card. She was rude and didn’t know how to handle the situation. She wanted to give me a gift card first, then she decided to give me credit for the item. What a mess! I asked to talk to the manager, and she had a worse attitude. She wanted to talk in front of everyone. I told her customers are not invited in offices anymore. She took me to a bigger room called it an office. She kept standing up to intimidate me. She was as rude and useless as her staff member. As I left, I told her that I will never shop at Dillard’s Hulen mall, and I will spread the word to my followers.

Return policy is unbelievable. I purchase for Dillard's often. I purchased a top and their clothes are not cheap. The top was too big. I called to see if I could return and the answer was no! Their policy is 30 days from purchase, this is online. I was thinking 30 days from receiving the order. Nope, a couple days late and they could have waived those days instead of losing a customer. My family will never shop Dillard's again. Times are hard and business is not what it use to be. They are going to regret losing customers. There are other stores that are just as good if not better. Good luck Dillard's!!!!!!
