I asked for my delivery to be left with my neighbour. The delivery driver was here but only tried my doorbell not my next door neighbour as I requested. What is the whole point of leaving instructions, when they are not followed??? Poor customer service.

Giving 1 star is adding insult to injury. I ordered a product with amazon Prime for next day delivery as it was needed urgently. Ordering on the Sunday morning and being home Monday I expected the package as normal from the company. They chose on this occasion to use DPD as their courier. amazon's tracking is brilliant and I usually meet the courier at the door so that it saves them a bit of time in their busy day. I saw that my package had left the DPD depot about 20 minutes before I checked my amazon orders but no tracking was available. So I listened out. After a couple of hours I checked my orders again and saw that the delivery had been attempted. I found a card that had been tossed on the path in my garden, it was not even posted or filled in by the driver, which gave the blurb to the effect that we knocked and you were out. No knock that I heard and I was feet away. Looking at my orders profile on amazon I saw that the courier had taken a photo of my front door for some reason that escapes me? The driver left a card, I don't need a picture of my front door thank you very much, I know what it looks like. I do, however, want my package. The card stated delivery would be made the following day. So, my package had been and gone. Great. I went on their phone app to give instruction that the package should be left in a safe place and that a signature was not required. If I wanted to sign I'd have gone with recorded delivery. The app repeatedly stated that it was experiencing trouble and that I should try again later. I tried their webpage on my PC and the same problem. I tried each about a dozen times in all with no luck. I even deleted and reloaded the app just to make sure I had the up-to-date version. I thought about ringing but given the runaround I'd already had I had neither the patience nor inclination; and why should I? Tuesday came and went but no return visit. I contacted amazon customer services the following day and advised them that I was unable to contact DPD. They put in the same request that I had on my behalf and assured me the package would be delivered the next day, the rep even said she'd ring me to ensure delivery had occurred. Yeah, right! The poor dears can’t think critically, just follow their flow chart. Sure enough, Thursday came and went and no return call or package. The next day, Friday now, I rang amazon again and got a refund. I'd had enough. I bought another product as it was now five days late and more urgent than ever. The weekend came and went and on the Monday (yesterday), a week overdue and 5 days later than amazon had promised me, there's another 'We missed you' card in my garden. Today, Tuesday and 9 days late the package has been left without the need for a signature. On the card was hand-written the instructions I gave to amazon last week. Why could the package not have been left yesterday then? So, what was it I needed so urgently? Scales for my cat, which has been diagnosed as diabetic and quite poorly. The vet, in addition to medication, advised me to get scales and a blood glucose monitor so that we could keep a log to help manage the condition and ensure further weight loss was countered by appropriate feeding and insulin injection. The monitor arrived the following day by the excellent Prime couriers. I've had one previous delivery from DPD through amazon some years ago and I remember similar, if not as bad, shenanigans. I think I'll be off to ebay from now on where I can enquire as to what courier will be used prior to purchase, not risking this again with amazon. A delivery company that has difficulty, it seems to me, in delivering. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning the package to amazon. As the package is too large for an amazon locker, for which I have one just a mile away, I have instead got to drive across town to a Hermes shop. Need that like a hole in the head. To say I'm furious is an under-statement. Absolutely appalling. Useless. Never again DPD. Amazon have lost my trust.

Seriously man. You CANNOT depend on a courier like this if you are expecting the package to arrive ON TIME and on the same date. I have customers waiting for products and yet these drivers just cannot keep up with their MONDAY jobs. Whats the excuse? 'Drivers scanner stopped working'.

Last week, whilst I was away, an red & white (incomplete) card was left for me by dpd deliveries with a parcel reference No shown as 32027020 advising me that they had attempted to deliver a parcel and "would be back tomorrow". They didn't apparently show. The card further advised that if I was to be out I should get in touch via "now.dpd.co.uk" to arrange re-delivey of the parcel. I duly tried to get in touch on-line without success and finally rang Customer Services today and spoke to an Azhar in "Customer Services" who, it has to be said, I found to be the most unhelpful, obtruse and difficult person to deal with, with him making several lame excuses as to why he could not trace the parcel reference No. given without explanation and, before rudely and unexpectedly putting the phone down on me in mid conversation, asking me to tell him who sent this unexpected parcel etc! How could I supply such information when I have no idea who sent the parcel or what its content was?? I have accordingly made formal complaint and further enquiry to trace the missing parcel on-line but as yet have heard nothing in return. Questions are has the "dpd" delivery man or someone else stolen this parcel for his/their own purposes, is it now lost, where is it, when can I expect delivery etc? Having due regard to the many other adverse comments, experiences and difficulties shared on line by other disasatisfied Customers I believe it is time for answers. Until I am satisfied let this be a warning for any other person(s) /businesses thinking of using "dpd" as their delivery company to think again! If the matter referred to is resolved and "my parcel" ultimately ever traced and received I will advise and comment further. If not, then I advise anyone interested to avoid "dpd" as a post/parcel delivery courier/company like the plague. Graham/ Bumpstead Antiques & Interiors.

DPD are the worst company they never know where to deliver parcels always have to go to the sorting office to sort it out when I have paid for it to be delivered no over deliver company has this problem I think they need to give there drivers more training and stop f around with peoples parcels or give the drivers the customers number so they can call them if they can’t find a property I will never recommend this company and if I could I would give -5

I haven’t knowingly used this company - my experience was with one of their drivers on the road. I approached some traffic lights which were turning amber as the car in front of me went through. I stopped and was subjected to shouting and blasts from the horn of a dpd van immediately behind me. (The driver presumably wanted me to go through a red light.) This continued as I pulled away, driving at the speed limit in a queue of traffic, the van right on my tail, with the driver shouting abuse at me and flashing its lights. When we came to a dual carriageway approaching a roundabout where I was turning left and he was going straight on, he pulled up alongside and shouted further abuse at me, asking if I was ‘getting fat’ (?) This was a very intimidating experience and quite uncalled for. If dpd couriers behave like this on the road, it makes me wonder what care they take with the parcels they are being paid to deliver.

Ordered parcel and was sent by DPD. Parcel never arrived. Phoned DPD to complain they said was given run around. Told me the driver had scanner issues and they would investigate and call me back never. Guess what like parcel they never did. I had to call them back and was then told it was the drop off shop had the scanner issue and they would now deliver to my house. Told them no because I have to work and earn money so wanted delivered to drop off shop and if they still had scanner issues then deliver to 2nd drop off shop. DPD said no so I ask what time will be delivery then maybe I can work either morning or afternoon DPD showed no compassion and basically told me where to go now have to take day off work unpaid thanks to DPD and wait for parcel. Update : emailed customer complaints and received email back saying parcel is oversize and has to be delivered to my home address as more then 20kg.Eh? It's a motorcycle helmut so how the dickens can it be over 20KG. DPD are trying to find any excuse to cover up their incompetence and not admit blame. DO NOT USE DPD. USE HERMES OR ROYAL MAIL OR EVEN CARRIER PIGEON...

I ordered a parcel which was supposed to be delivered on Thursday, I changed my address to work adress which is in same town, received e-mail from DPD confirming Thursday delivery(same day). Checked on Thursday delivery day got changed to Friday without me requesting it, BUT! In description it said as requested, lying. On Friday at 12:15 I checked again delivery day became Monday and again said as requested, but I never requested, so lying again. I called DPD spent 15mins on call mostly holding they refused to offer me option to collect from pick up point and ensured that parcel will be delivered on Monday and the issue is that they did not change labels, and delay was reqested by Depot Manager. Ok, today Monday, no updates, I call them, they say PARCEL IS LOST. This is most disgusting experience I ever had with DPD, I ordered blacklight lamp and flouriscent paint and was ment to color my sons room before holiday which is wednesday the latest, and now left unable to fulfill my promise. If head office sees it I definitely would like you to put some attention to Dunstable Depot Management!

DPD service is simply miserable. Parcels are always late, tracking numbers don't work, customer assistants are reluctant to help. I would never recommend this company to anyone and try to avoid its service myself whenever possible. Any new company would come in and take their business because everyone is so fed up with DPD's nonsense.

I ordered a Hifi from Curry's, DPD was their choice of courier. I tracked my driver "Ellis" via the DPD App, I was the next delivery, I waited looking out of the window anticipating "Ellis's" arrival, but he never came, I had a automated text from DPD to say that my delivery had been made and apparently signed for by myself. I phoned DPD straight away who advised me that my Hifi had been delivered in error to another person on a totally different addresses, when DPD supplied me with the address that the delivery was made to, "Ellis" turned up in his DPD delivery van, the person who signed for the item, passed the main body of the Hifi back to Ellis the DPD driver with no power lead, remote, no box etc it was all unpackaged, Ellis then said to me "here is your parcel" I said you must be joking, I paid full price for a brand new boxed item and you are handing me part of the Hifi system, I added, I paid for a boxed item as it is a present, Ellis sarcastically said "well they won't have to unwrap it now will there" I refused to take receipt of a partial item that the wrong recipient had unpacked and used in the space of 20 minutes, so I said that I am not taking receipt of part of a delivery and I would like some sort of "acknowledgement" that the part of the initial parcel was again in the possession of DPD driver Ellis, he told me to F*uck off, I said that his behaviour was disgusting, he told me that he used to be a firefighter and now he is doing this "poxy" job delivering to "c*nts" like me, I pursued this further when he knew that he had overstepped the mark, out of nowhere he started screaming that I was attacking him, to draw attention away from me, I hadn't moved from the spot, and I couldn't attack anyone as I have a heart condition and any undue stress or exertion would cause me to go in to cardiac arrest, so Ellis drives off, in the space of the next hour, he returned 5 more times and sat outside my property, filming me on his smartphone and trying to get a reaction by sticking his fingers up to me, on his last visit I was on the Phone to South Wales Police as I felt intimidated and threatened by Ellis returning and parking up outside my property in the works van and filming me, South Wales Police attended my call and have put my address on to high alert / rapid response if I make a call due to intimation by the DPD Swansea area driver Ellis, Ellis failed to see that the complex where I live is covered by cctv, plus the tracker on his van will show that he was at my address multiple times intimidating me within an hour or so timescale, it was a frightening experience being threatened and intimidated by a delivery driver because he made an error delivering to the incorrect person initially, expecting me to then accept a part of a unwrapped, unboxed, incomplete order that the "person" that he delivered to had unboxed and started to use, I wouldn't of minded if he had actually apologised, but he was arrogant, cockey, abusive and threatening towards myself, he was in no shape or form apologetic and returned multiple times to my address to intimate, bully and make me feel threatened and scared. I have logged this issue with DPD Customer service call centre, I telephoned there 3 times one call handler was initially sarcastic, but Yullia, and Edward were outstanding, I must say, I logged the incident and further called back giving a Police Incident report number, and Crime Number after the Police were in attendance at my property as I had to call them as I felt threatened, I am a 45 year old man, and I felt physically intimidated and threatened by Ellis's behaviour and conduct as he was aggressive and coming in to my personal space and pushing his face in to mine at points of our conversation, but ultimately if "Ellis" felt threatened by me, why did he keep returning to my property, and harassing and intimidating me and filming this all on his smartphone, plus the fact that he has used the DPD works van which has a tracker, DPD as a company will clearly see that he purposely returned to my address to bully and intimidate me. The question is how many others has he done this to? As there are a lot of frail, vulnerable, even elderly people that DPD deliver to, was today a one off occurance of the bullying behaviour displayed by Ellis? To be honest I can only give you my honest version of events, I am sure Ellis would tell a far from honest version of the truth, all I can say is I felt intimidated, bullied and abused, all because Ellis had to come back to rectify his mistake by delivering my item to the wrong recipient, and this recipient had already unboxed and used the Hifi, and only partially gave this back to Ellis, who then in turn, Ellis expected me to take delivery of as a delivered item, when it was incomplete, used and unboxed, at the end of the day Ellis's arrogance overruled job role and customer care and service. I am disgusted and appalled by such behaviour by a delivery driver, dreadful attitude to the customer and the item / package. Spencer (Swansea)

Don't trust DpD services don't trust the customer service, the only answer you get sorry, the driver can't return even it's the driver fault, he came to a wrong address, I have dpd app, i was waiting next to my house and i received a notification that we missed you!! in the same second i called the customer services, and said i'm here the driver didn't come, the answer was he can't return sorry. i was trying to explain that i have a flight to catch and i pied extra so i can have my parcel in the morning before my flight, the customer service start to be angry, as if it was my fault. the strange thing few days ago i had exactly same experience but to my address in London, i was again waiting next to my flat expecting the driver to come same thing happened receiving notification we missed you!! same argument with customer services, with no solution. don't trust drivers: looks like they don't make any efforts to go to the right address, just taking a photo to a random place just to say we missed you!! i don't miss you guys...... probably just to show they had did as much jobs as possible but without delivering.

I get regular deliveries 5 -10+ times a week from different delivery companies, but my recent delivery from dpd 28/06 in Saltcoats , Ayrshire was amazing, I was wrestling several rescue dogs at the time of delivery, and the dpd driver was patient, respectful and a credit to the dpd company, he even took my offer of an Ice lolly in this crazy heat and gave me so many thanks for such a simple thing, I'd give 10+ stars for this lovely gentleman if I could x....
