The only reason I have given 1 is it doesn’t allow a 0 review. We bought a settee and chairs from furniture village and went for a more premium suite. We were served my Marc at the Gillingham store and who sold us the suite. When the suite arrived we noticed that one of the cushions was faulty. We rang the customer service who said that they would send a new cover. We explained that the whole cushion was faulty and they said this could only be sorted out by resolutions and apparently resolutions only has an email no number. So we emailed every week with no answer and then after two months we get a phone call to say our cover is ready for deliver. We explained that this was not the only fault and have now been told to go back to the store to sort this out. As you can imagine we will not be buying anything again from furniture village and would recommend you don’t either and we still have a suite that cost us over £3,000 that after 3 months is still faulty.

Please be aware that most of the 5 Star reviews for Furniture Village are for the salespeople who do a very good job of selling inferior quality goods. We paid over £4000 for Allegra leather sofas which after a couple of days were sagging uncomfortable and looked years old. They sent someone out to repad our sofas but they only had enough materials for one cushion (this didn’t look any different after) this was after we had waited 3 months. They really don’t have an after sales service and you will be hanging on the phone for hours to speak to customer service who say that someone will call you back but they never do - nor do they respond to emails. Please don’t waste your hard earned money they are a terrible company to deal with. Bought the furniture in May delivered damaged in October and we are still looking for a resolution in Feb

Zero customer service and rude salesman at the High Wycombe shop.Almost 10 months and still no furniture, no one rings or updates you. They take your money earn there commission then brush you off with no interest at all. This will be the last time and I would recommend to look elsewhere and avoid this company. One of the previous comments said the press should get involved and I totally 100% agree.Paying customers should not be treated this way.

Unfortunately have no choice but to leave a one star rating. This place doesn’t deserve any stars. Without a doubt the worst customer service ever. The showroom tell you to speak to customer service and customer service tells you to speak to the showroom. They tell you they have nothing to do with each other and it causes absolute confusion. They don’t know their lefts from their rights. Rude staff with useless communication. A real joke of a company. I would love to speak to the person that owns the company but I know I’ll just have to speak to the people low down in the pecking order that couldn’t care less about my experience which is a shame. But if this does reach you please email me I would love to hear from you

I have received my order now, however I missed my call to arrange a date for delivery, I phoned the number given, when answered the person never gave her name and I was put through to another person who just said yeah I had to explain I missed a call regarding delivery and was told Wednesday afternoon and nothing else. The day after my delivery I had a message to say my furniture was going to be delayed by a month, I called to say I had received it and the person on the other end just said ok babe! I am happy with the product but I can’t believe the standard of customer service. Please answer the phone properly giving the name of the company and your name. This has made me think twice about ordering anything else.

Incredibly bad service from this company after spending over £5000 on furniture nearly three and a half months ago they are now screwing me around with their delivery dates, they never call back when they say they will, their distributors are impossible to call having spent days trying to get through but no one picks up or calls back after countless messages left. To top it all up they pushed back delivery of several items because they failed to call for payment when we asked them weekly if we need to pay yet they kept saying they would call us when it was time only for the delivery date to pass and then be told that it will take 3 more weeks because we have not paid... I do not recommend falling for their helpfulness and charm in-store, once you walk out of there prepare for a world of pain.

Appalling service from this company. Waiting over an hour to speak to someone. I have spent over 4 hrs and still not resolved. They do not answer e-mails either. I purchased a guest bed, the lower bed pulls out and two feet open out, and lock into place. The two locks which hold the legs open, fell off. If I could give them a 0 star review I would.

I ordered a sofa 1st August 21, it was delivered in November but has no feet on it as it was faulty. An engineeer came out in January and said I need a whole new sofa, have had no contact from Furniture Village, despite trying to get in contact numerous times. I am now pursuing a claim through the finance company. I understand things go wrong but the total lack of customer service is appalling.

I have received poor communication and organisation from Furniture village for a sofa bed from the moment that Furniture Village told me my item was ready for delivery a month ago until now. I am still waiting for the item to be delivered and i have had to continuously ring and chase them despite customer service reps promising to get back to me with an update. This has been very stressful for me and has disrupted my schedule due to the lack of professionalism from Furniture village in dealing with my item. This was my first time ordering from furniture village and it will be my last after the horrible experience i have had. The warehouse on two separate occasions have misplaced my item in the warehouse. Both times this was on the day of delivery that they have told me they are unable to deliver. The first time, i had to wait 2 weeks for the warehouse to locate my item. When i decided i wanted to lodge a complaint after lack of communication for so long, miraculously the warehouse found the item in less than half an hour. On the day of delivery after the first time, the drivers seemed reluctant to attempt to delivery the item in the house into the upstairs room and commented that the item was heavy. Furniture village then suggested i use an upholsterer for an extra fee if i want my item to be delivered. I took this option in good faith that my sofa could not fit through the door. Furniture village made it seem that the process to use this service would be fairly straightforward but i was sadly mistaken. On the day that the upholsterer was due to come, they rang me to tell me that the warehouse again could not locate my item. Again when i rang furniture village they said they would try to find out what has happened. This was on Friday and I again have had no contact with Furniture Village. This level of communication for an item i have paid for is unacceptable and i will be escalating this with the trading standards. After waiting for 4 months for my item, i am highly frustrated that this level of dysfunction has been involved in simply delivering the sofa. I would not suggest ordering from furniture village if this is the level of communication they give customers.

Recliners on all parts of the sofas make a terrible noise ... technicians been nothing wrong apparently but why spend over £4000 for squeaky whining recliners. Terrible aftercare waiting for further contact

Worst company to deal with ever !!! Ordered table and chairs and when arrived the chairs were a different wood to the table . Oak table and lime washed wood chairs !!!!! Like chalk and cheese … look completely odd .. spoke to manager at furniture village who told me basically it was our fault not noticing the different colour on legs of chairs !!!! Why would anyone order an oak table and these completely different colour chairs !!! . We’ve been told really to like it or lump it we should have asked more about the chairs ????? Really !! What a joke this company is I’m so glad we’ve not ordered the £7000 settees which we were going to purchase !!! Never ever will I buy from them again !!! Stay well away

Awful customer service experience from Milton Keynes store. We purchased a ceiling light with other items and this was only delivered 1 week ago. I contacted the store to return the item because it was way too big and the customer service advisor was awful. He highlighted that their policy highlights that you can not return an item however the policy clearly highlights that the item can be returned within 14 days of receiving it if a customer does not with to keep it. I am gutted that I had spend £200 on an item that we can not use and I just wanted to return it to chose a different one. We only took the item off the box and placed it back and we did not even attempt to put it up . I am so so disappointed with the service and actually wishing i had purchased the item from a different store.

Awful customer service ! When something arrives 6 weeks late and then it’s damaged it becomes a joke! Then having to wait another 6 weeks for another to be delivered is ridiculous, and that after three phone calls! Complete incompetence, won’t be using them again !!

Appalling after sales service. Sofa arrived with no sliders. They were promised the next week. Never arrived. Duresta chair and stool due 2 months ago. No one returns my calls. No-one responds to emails. Avoid this company unless you 're happy to be ignored and for your furniture to never arrive. If theres a problem - tell me furnitire village rugby and let me go somewhere else and order a chair and stool. Don't leave me hanging.

Will never buy from this company again, terrible after sales service. Delivery was delayed on our sideboard by 2 months and when it did arrive it was put in place and the delivery guys left before i could check it over plus did not sign for anything! they left the wrapping on the unit which they had rewrapped after installing it, shock horror the back was all smashed plus no handles or fittings. Called the help line on the delivery note within 10 mins to be told only open during the week days so thats no good if you have a weekend delivery! Delivered in November its now 18th Feb and still not resolved despite lots of promises we have spent literally hours on hold on the phone and sent emails by the dozen, you get a different person when you do manage to talk to someone and, to cut a long story short we feel like we are just promised what we want to hear and then fobbed off hoping eventually we will go away! We have a sideboard that isnt usable looks rubbish as no handles just holes and with a lighting unit that has no cables to use it! Caused more upset and arguments we wish we had never bothered.......be warned if you have to go back to customer services it will be a nightmare!!!!

I have been chasing my order for months. I get told a delivery month and then nothing. I have wasted so much time and energy on this i am furious. I was a huge fan of furniture village and have bought lots of furniture from them over the years but never again. 7 1/2 months waiting for an order is NOT ACCEPTABLE the newspapers should be investigating companies and fining them for dreadful service like this because the customer has no rights at all and just has to wait. Where is the compensation for all the hours on the phone? If the order says 13-15 weeks it shouldnt be 32-33 weeks !!!

Im very disappointed with the services Im very disappointed with the services. We ordered our dinning chairs on 21st October and we have been waiting till today for the delivery which is 17 weeks. They blame it on pandemic and that time the pandemic was slowly finishing. Whe we order from DFS in middle of the pandemic the waiting was 6 weeks and we thought is long wait but 17 weeks? Thats ridiculous. Every day was bombarded by their emails with offers and sales and have never recieved any email about the progress of my order. They dis not care about me as a customer who purchased already something felt like we got you so we dont care anymore only if we can get more money from you approach. When they finally called me after 16 weeks to arrange delivery they gave me only one option for delivery and if i wouldnt take holiday dor that day to be home I would have ro wait for another 2-3weeks. Also on that day no one called me to actually tell me some timeline when i can expect the delivery on that day. The customer service is just terrible. I thought dfs is bad but according this experience dfs is excelent in customer service. When we opened them we actually realized they are much darker than we saw in shop. We checked pictures we had when we were choosing them and clearly can see they are at least 1 shade darker then they should. Which makes other problem and if we knew we would choose lighter one. 17 weeks wait and disappointed in every way. Im sure I will not purchase anything from the furniture village in future its not worth it.
