horrendous customer service. Ordered £120 worth of stuff, money taken....no goods delivered. 28 days of investigation with no result!! CRIMINALS

I wish I had looked at these reviews prior to ordering three lightweight tents. Tents have not arrived, expected done delay In current climate but also expected some communication other than automated messages to my phone. Eventually got resoi de to my many queries via e-mail, but only when I tweeted openly about my frustration- which it appears many have fine in similar frustration. Date I needed tents by has massed, I ordered and received another three from elsewhere- however GoOutdoors have recused to allow me to cancel my order , despite the fact it has not yet been dispatched. I have been told I will receive a dispatch e-mail and tracking number, I need to wait until it is delivered ( when will this be???!) and then I need to refuse delivery and ask the courier to return the items ( which, as they have agreed, have not left their warehouse) I have no idea how king after that a refund will be. I know companies are in dire straits but even with these considerations this is just dreadful ‘service’.

Never again !!, ordered a jacket on the 1st July. Got confirmation email to say it was in stock. Got a second email on the 5th July to say my parcel was now with the couriers "Hermes". 14th July not heard a word so chased with Go Outdoors. Spent hours trying to contact both Go outdoors and "Hermes". Got a reply from Go Outdoors saying they aim responded within 48 hours, no they didn't. Hermes tracker kept saying "Sorry for the delay", will be with you in 24 hours. Found the CEO's email address and sent him an email on the 17th July. Got a missed call on the 18th from the executive complaint person. They refunded my money to Paypal saying the parcel has been lost. Never again will I deal with this inept pair of organisations. Customer care contact is non-existent.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS Ordered some climbing equipment for click & collect on 30th May, website said that items were in stock at Gloucester store. Didn't receive any text messages so assumed as website said items were in stock I would go to store and see if I could collect. Told by store that items ordered on-line are dispatched from warehouse to store, even if store has those items (which they did and as I needed them had to pay again). Went home cancelled order, still waiting (16th July 2020) for a refund. Customer service is appalling, constantly being fobbed off with lies, half truths and incompetence. Constant emailing as you can't reach them via phone. AVOID AT ALL COSTS If I could give them zero stars I would

Avoid at all costs. Order hasn't even left the warehouse as I type this review and it's been 10 days. No communication with me about this other than automated text message reassuring me that my order was being processed.. incredibly frustrating. After a difficult email exchange I got through to a real person at customer service who informed me that I could not refund and cancel my order as they are unable to do so. Astonishingly bad company and honestly, don't be swayed by the prices (even with the discount card) they really are not that great and similar prices can be found at other retailers.

Took my money, kept sending messages saying they were " on it ". Bull -****, 10 days later, no reply to e mails and do not answer the phone. Really cheesed off with garbage service.

absolute dogshit service. took my order and sat on it. texting me every day saying it's in hand and don't get in touch. i don't think i'll ever get it. I have been stolen from.

Stay away! I ordered my tent along with other camping stuff a month ago. Everything arrived BUT the tent. I have gone back and forth with their customer service and nothing. My holiday is now ruined!

Ordered a bike £449 on 28th June, that was showing in stock, and apparently is still in stock according to the website (been checking nearly every day). Was sent the usual messages stating sorry for the delay, no need to contact us, blah blah blah. Today (8th July), I get a message that my order is being dispatched via Hermes, and given a tracking number. Followed the tracking number to find that it has taken them 8 working days to dispatch A DISCOUNT CARD! No sign of the bike, so basically they paid a courier to deliver a discount card that has seemed to cost me £454. Like I am going to shop at this store after this experience! Emailed them (along with emailing them last week wondering what the status of my order was), waiting for response. Advice as mentioned in a lot of reviews below, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! I understand times are difficult at present, but at least be honest with your customers and if the product is out of stock/unavailable, then do not take money off the customer that will struggle to get it back given nobody is answering any calls or emails. I reckon 6 months and Go Outdoors will be no more!

never received half of a £250 order. They now don't even have a phone service and just fob you off again and again on email. Looks like we've basically lost £250 and our camping holiday has been ruined.

I wish that I'd had looked at the reviews on here before parting with money for a new bike! I ordered a new bike at the beginning of June. I appreciate that there is huge demand for bikes at the moment so I knew that there may be a delay in it being delivered. As other contributors have reported, it is impossible to get any clarification as to the bike's whereabouts. It is impossible to speak to anyone for clarification and you end up in a never ending circle of emails, automated faq's and dead ends. I would not bother ordering anything from them as they do not take any responsibility for sorting it out. Dreadful experience.

Part of order missing, packaging completley ripped open, filled in missing order form weeks ago, very poor contact from go outdoors, Looks like they are going under, THEY MUST HAVE KNOWN SO I WONT GET MY MISSING STUFF!!!!!!! Can see now why they are going under

Ordered and paid for order on 6th June... Confirmed delivery 5-7 days. Order number from hermes states parcel not received. No response from go outdoors despite several emails. Disappointed after spending lots of money there in past

Read the last eat reviews! Do not order from here!! They didn’t send my order, even after I sent 3 separate emails saying that DHL told me they hadn’t dispatched it. They said they had. I needed this for my husbands birthday, and ordered 2 weeks before but it never came. Someone finally emailed back saying that it hadn’t been sent, so I wanted a refund. Here we are 10 days later and still NO MONEY in my account!!!! So I will start again with the emails! They have had my money for A MONTH and I have nothing to show for it!!! Not a good service at all.

Ordered online delivery came fishing today missing after 3 days trying get hold someone they have admitted fault and offered to refund me only if i close the open case in paypal against them, paypal have told me not to ask they only got pressure button and refund the payment, looks like they are trying not to pay me avoid this company they obviously believe that losing and theft is OK AVOID AVOID AVOID GO ELSE WHERE

Its great they are back open. We both needed a 'directors chair with side table'. We found it and bought two, they were on offer.The staff member at the front door, asked what we were looking for, and pointed us in the right direction. The staff are always willing to help with a smile and willing to have a laugh. Husnand scout leader and me beimg a guide leader , we always appreciate you

Dear Gooutdoors, i feel someone needs to make their voice heard and unless you can show me evidence that my bike was indeed lost i will spend every day talking about my experience wherever i can and i just won't stop until a manger gets on the phone to me and does something about it. I also feel like i have a moral obligation to do something after now reading many others also have had the same issues as me My Story: Covid 19 and the lockdown has been very difficult for many people in different ways and i am sure everyone has there own story. I live alone and have not seen anyone for weeks and have found this period particularly hard. I decided two weeks ago that i would start getting fit during this time and after 20 years ordered a brand new bike from your website. I didn't cheap out and try and buy from a non reputable website (i know your company turns over about £200m a year i did my research), second hand or ebay. I just wanted to place the order with a company that I thought was reputable and wait for delivery. Here is a time line of my experience 1) Ordered on a sunday night may 10th. There website has very strange delivery dates so i waited patiently trying to understand bikes are in high demand yet at the same time there is less people working (i also work in a e-commerce distribution company as well so i can see first hand how things are)3) Around one week later when i didn't hear anything i called their landlines and found out they are not taking calls. I also reached out by email and also facebook messenger as well. Every day i would get a different message related to this delivery by sms and also by fb messenger. I asked for a refund so that i could spend this money with another company and they REFUSED. they said there system just won't allow a refund. Surely there are laws against this? I will now be looking into this4) Eventually i got a email saying my bike is being delivered and a tracking number. The next day i sat at the delivery address like a little child waiting for delivery of my new toy. I then got a sms saying your order has not been sent and that the company is working to get this out and  this delay is because of covid 19... I then asked on fb messanger why i have a tracking number if the bike has not been sent. They assured me it's on the way and i just need to wait one more day which i did5)  I waited Thursday and Friday when i could of just been earning money but i wanted this bike so much6) Today is saturday the 23rd of May, i wanted to believe a company could not be this ruthless and hoped my bike world turn up. I then wasted more time on messenger asking if this bike would arrive and they told me it's been lost. HOW CAN a bike be lost? why cant they give me another bike ? I am in complete shock at their service. I dont wish any business or brand any harm but unless they can show me evidence that it was really lost i wont stop and i will keep doing everything i can to make sure others dont go through the same experience i did. I believe they have probably lied and know how to cheat the tracking system. I would like evidence that my bike was indeed lost or i will not stop until this company gets a formal investigation.  Saying that i am upset at the way they have treated me would be an understatement
