After reading all these reviews I scared I would also be messed around and not end up recieving my items. What actually happened was, I made my order for three camping chairs and they arrived three days later exactly as described in perfect condition. The packaging was well done and everything went well. I am very happy with my purchase and as of sept 2020 they appear to sending my items fine. Maybe i'm just extremely lucky or they are not as bad as some unlucky people are saying. I have rated the service 5star as I have no faults with anything about my experience other than reading all this to make me panic.

Hi I got a tent from go outdoors, over £1000 for tent porch carpet and footprint and it was faulty, so they exchanged it, it was only 2 weeks old, so I got another tent tht to was faulty, I have pictures of the faults, but this time they weren't happy to exchange but they did, then I got a vanguard 8 , and when we were on holiday the rain was coming through the material of the tent, holes in the stitching and the zip kepted breaking, so 2 days into our holiday we came home to change the tent and go back and finish our holiday, but they refused, this tent was only9 days old. So we left the store phoned head office and they said "go back to store and give them another chance to sorte this out!" So we did and the manger was worse this time, to ring head office he didn't want to. I have a proof of a call from head office for 40mins and the manager was implying to head office I was lying about a phone call and head office have on record of them phoning me , the manager asked me to leave the store or he will phone the police so I told him to get the police, while waiting for the police a customer was returning a tent and when asked from the store what's wrong with it, they said""nothing it's to hard to put away" so asked the manager how is tht right when my tent is faulty and u wont exchange, he told the police I was threatening a customer, I never spoke to the customer, I also told them I am autistic, The manager lied to the police and the police attuided to me was horrendous and I told them repeatedly told I was autistic, I have video evidence of my arrest, What are my legal rights to a new tent, any help will be greatly appreciated thank u, am also dyslexic, sorry if some of this doesn't make sense , I've loads more to tell on this whole situation xx I was arrested for not leaving the store until I had a resolution All the tents where hi gear Also I told the manager tht we where on holiday to rest as we've just had 4 weeks of hell with my daughter as shes now in hospital safe, so we went away for 5 days knowing she was safe , and why woul we come home early and try to change a faulty tent, and go back to our holiday if it wasn't faulty they weren't interested Also I was released from the police 2hrs later WITHOUT been Interviewed and NO CHARGES I've not slept properly and my mental health has been bad since this whole experience, Also no point have I requested a refund, we have always wanted s tent tht is fit for purpose, even now I just want a tent tht is not faulty

Ordered twice, a particular RAB waterproof and each time instead of receiving the colour (Beluga) as advertised, I was sent Black. Slow response and investigation by telephone reps. Weeks and days, 9/10 phone calls passed, and it has never been resolved. The items were returned and refunds processed, but the item is still falsley represented online. I requested some form of recompense considering my time and the multitude of phone calls. Nothing but a lousy 10% voucher towards another purchase. Cheap and nasty, and the poorest of customer service.

Shocking customer Service!!!!!!, no wonder the company is collapsing !! The quality of goods is okay which is a shame really because the customer service is disgusting. I ordered a jacket I was quoted 3-5 days delivery, I also ordered a discount card. Finally receive the jacket after 8 days.. unfortunately it was the wrong size for me so I sent it back I’m currently on day 16 without a refund they have promised me I would get it within 14 days.. What on earth takes 14 days for a piddly little refund.., I’m yet to receive my discount card they stated it should’ve been in the original parcel, I told them it wasn’t they then said “they don’t do duplicates” I obviously stated it wasn’t originally sent so it’s not a duplicate it’s the one I ordered I have not received ... they promised to send a new one I’m still waiting that was 14 days ago. Joke company who sold me a jacket online to email me 7 days later telling me they haven't got the jacket. So basically did them an interest for around 2 weeks. They will never get my custom again. Cotswold is the best

I needed a bike for a special birthday present, so went online to search for one that was in stock somewhere, and came across Go outdoors with all shops in my area showing stock. A phone call later to our local branch to reserve one, and told no stock available in any of the nearest shops to me either, computer glitch, advised to order from main hub for home delivery, which we did. Bike was delivered 3 days later than advised....and damaged. Phone call to customer services, tried to get me to take it into milton keynes shop for inspection and refund. As i am nearly 70, and the access to the store would be impossible for me with the size and weight of the bike l declined, and requested that the bike be collected, and a full refund given. I was asked to 3 available dates for pick up, which i did, and had 3 non shows. I have sent 5 emails in total, plus the 1 phone call, been addressed by 5 different operators, and still no joy. I searched for reviews on here, and quickly realised that the the chances of returning the bike and getting a refund were slim, and opted to keep the bike, rather than risk losing both. I feel that this company is on the brink of collapse, and would advise people not to buy from there, or you might be out of pocket.

What an absolute joke Go Outdoors are. I drove miles to my nearest store to buy some walking shoes that are in their sale. Every pair i looked at had no size 9 & to be told that they only had sizes that normal people would wear. Size mens 7 & 13 isnt normal. 60 mile round trip wasted. Ordered the pair i wanted online with no problem with a extra delivery charge. Email every day saying my ordered is being processed. 5 days later get email saying order cancelled due to none in stock. Now wait 5 days for refund. No wonder Go Outdoors is in administration.

Ordered a pair of trousers in the sale plus some full price ones online and paid £3.95 postage. The order was accepted, money taken and then several days later I received an email to say my order couldn't be fulfilled (no surprise, the sale price trousers). No explanation and no indication of when to expect a refund. The other trousers didn't fit so I returned them to Go Outdoors in Derby. I was bombarded by questions as if I were somehow trying to rip them off. I was accused of not bringing in the delivery note when there wasn't one in the parcel, they refused to refund my postage and I had no apology. The service from my online order was terrible and instore was worse. What used to be a great company is now, from my experience, just a bunch of processes that aren't working and people who don't want to provide a good service to paying customers. Just horrendous.

I am currently 3 weeks into trying to get a refund out of Go Outdoors for a click and collect purchase. On 10th August I used their (awful) click and collect service. My money was taken from my account but on visiting the store (52 mile round trip), the next day I was advised that the item was not in stock but was in fact on route from the warehouse. Perplexed and annoyed that the birthday gift for my wife was not available, I was advised that if I purchased an alternative colour I could then just phone customer services on my return home and receive a refund. Oh dear, what a farce that has turned out to be!! During a 20 minute conversation with a customer services advisor I was informed in great detail all about their warehouse process, delivery system etc BUT was advised that until the item was received in store that I could not receive a refund. Bear in mind that at this point the item was still in their warehouse awaiting courier collection. I have now had 3 telephone conversations and emails from 3 different advisors. It is now 1st September and the latest email advises me that I must wait a further 10 days for their refunds team to process the query. I worked in retail for over 20 years and I have never come across something either so disorganised or more worrying, possibly deliberate as after all Go Outdoors took 15 seconds to extract my money for something that was NOT available but have now held on to it for potentially 5 weeks.

Order placed at the start of August. Slow processing, no updates on order whereabouts, no information available via customer service. Gave up waiting and asked to cancel the order after waiting three weeks for updates. Customer services slow to respond, but said they’d ‘try’ and cancel the order. Order instead processed and finally on the way. Camping trip has been and gone. Disorganised, shambolic, slow. Won’t use again.

Ordered fishing rods and gear. Go Outdoors failed to send the rods, but expect me the keep the gear, that is useless without them. Still getting a very poor response from customer service.

I took an item back to the Doncaster store on 9th July and was told that as it had been paid by PayPal it would be about 3 weeks before I got a refund. After 5 weeks I got in touch querying where the refund was to be told that after the 3 weeks I should've phoned for the refund to be auctioned (communication of this fact would've been welcome on the 9th!). I was assured that it had been done and I should see the refund in 24 hours. 3 days later I emailed again to see what the issue was to be told it was ready but whoever I had spoke to hadn't processed it but rest assured it had been done now and I should see a refund within 24 hours (ah, that old chestnut!). 2 days ago I sent yet another email pretty much losing my $hit and informed them I wanted to escalate this to a manager....still waiting. Do not use this company, their customer service is diabolical, their word means nothing, why would you trust a company that doesn't care about its customers?

EUROHIKE Toco 4 Person Tent Retail Price £25 Discount Card Price £8.99 Shop Now Received above email @ 8.13 this morning. Checked local stock and traveled to store only to be told that they could not afford to sell at this price. Why send me the email in the first place. I asked for my travel cost to be met but was refused. Tomorrow, I will call customer service and write a further review to see if we arrived at a satisfactory resolution.

The worst interaction I've had with a company in my life. They illegally took my money for items they didn't have in stock, then gave me a partial refund, and when I contacted them to figure out why, they told me they'd be sending part of my order (the items ordered don't work unless they're a pair) and told me if I didn't like it, I could return the unusable item at my expense. Two employees now have been absolutely useless and trying to force me to keep an item I can't use and are keeping my money!

Product (Calibre Sentry Mountain Bike) is good, but customer service is appaling. Bike sold on the basis that a free service be carried out 3 months after purchase. Impossible to get the store to answer the phone. Went in to arrange, and told no-one available in the bike store, but someone will contact me to arrange the service. No-one every got back. Still unable to get through to the store by phone.

I would NOT recommend using there online service i have had the worst service ever from any where. I place and order then placed another half an hour after I go the second order within 2 day but heard nothing on the first so I used the online email enquiry. A week later still nothing with no reply so rang up got told there was an IT problem with the order and they would email that department and should hear back in 48hrs. After 48hrs still nothing so rang back again to get told the person should not give a time frame as they can't say how long it would be so I asked can they not just phone someone on the IT team they said no only email I also asked if could be change to click and collect and I would go get it as I knew it was in stock but they said could not amend order so I said I would like it cancelled. They said they would email IT to tell them to do a refund. At beginning of the next week 2 and a half week later I go a reply from emial enquiries saying they would look into it. Now over 3 week later still no refund
