Just set up a account with Go Outdoors as I was looking for a fishing bivvy and found one I liked. I purchased the membership card and selected click and collect for the bivvy and an outer skin for it as I need it for tonight. I paid online and waited for my message to say I could collect. No message arrived only a confirmation mail which stated delivery in 3-5 days! I contacted the store where I had selected for click and collect only to be spoken to like an idiot and told I had done something wrong online which I know I didn’t because I checked and double checked everything before paying. I then called customer service who then said they don’t know what happened but it’s down for delivery. I asked for them to cancel the order and refund me the money and I’ll just go the store and buy it to which I was told no. They say they can’t refund because the order has gone through although is been less than an hour since I made the order. I then asked them to change the delivery address to the store and let the store know I will be coming to collect today to which I was also told no. Apparently they can’t change details on the order so basically it’s tough I’ll just have to wait for the delivery. I’m now stuck with no bivvy to use tonight and no cash to go buy another one and send this back when it arrives. Awful service, awful website, awful staff. Only gave 1 star because I can’t give no stars!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID I have sent endless emails and Facebook messages regarding 2 items not received. No one replies or updates me, just constantly ask for my order details and say they'll pass my query onto the correct people. No one ever gets back to me. I just want a refund now as they owe me over £150. I ordered over 3 weeks ago and the items should have come between 3 and 5 days. Hermes received the items but they were damaged so they refused to deliver them. I updated Go Outdoors and they have no idea what's going on. Appalling customer service. I've escalated a Paypal claim now so hopefully I'll finally get my money back. Should have learnt my lesson last year when my order was 'lost'. They blamed Hermes, but Hermes never even received the package.

Under ONE STAR Service The service in the store is 100% BUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT HQ is no better then a one star, when I was in the store a pair of trousers was ordered by the manager so I paid for them and was told I would have them within 7 days, I called HQ Customer Services and was told by Tom there had been a mistake and it would take IT 7 days to look into it and then maybe another 7 to 10 days to get them to me or if I wanted a refund it would take 14 days to sort that out. Not good

Absolutely disgraceful customer service. Genuinely cannot believe the experience. Ordered a fire pit online, was clearly a damaged return; box torn and cellotaped together, screws missing, screws broken. Took it back in store to swap it for an unbroken product. They didn’t have any and wouldn’t refund mi. Accused mi of doing the damage myself, even though the old manky cellotape was all yellowed from age, so had been like it for a while, well before it was sent out to mi. The 6ft 2 male staff member pretended to be a manager, came away from the protective screen to get in my face, saying it wasn’t his problem. The real manager came along and had to ask the guy 3/4 times to get away from mi. Eventually, he walked away, slagging mi off, I asked the manager if he was going to let staff attack female customers like that and the manager just shrugged. Then the aggressive man came back over to carry on having a go at mi. I had to leave in the end as they refused to help mi. Several hours later on the phone to customer service, they say I have to do the 16 mile round trip again to get the refund. I get a kind friend to do this as I was genuinely scared to go back in there with that guy there. And guess what? The same 6ft 2 male staff gets in my friend’s face, being rude to her. She asks him if he can social distance because of covid and he literally said ‘no’ and continued to intimidate her until she got her phone to film him and another staff member intervened. No apology for sending out a clearly broken product that they’d crudely tried to fix. No apology for accusing myself of doing the damage. No apology for making me do a 32 mile round trip to get a refund. No apology for staff refusing to social distance and getting in my face, being asked by other staff on numerous occasions to leave me alone. No apology for getting into my friends face and being rude to her either. Customer service said I should be grateful to get a refund as they don’t take back damaged goods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never known anything like it. If that had been a man in a pub, the bouncers would’ve grabbed him and thrown him out. But this guy was being paid by Go Outdoors to treat us like this. Truly shocked

Terrible delivery. My order was split into 3 parts and they didn't tell me. 15 days later and still waiting for two items. Called and emailed 5 times, told something different every time and staff just blame Hermes. No apology, no goods, no refund, no way of knowing if they will ever arrive. Do not order online from this store!!

I returned a pair of lovely Keen women's boots today. I bought them in August 2020 and recently noticed they were coming apart. I didn't have my receipt after this time. But, I asked if they held a record of my purchases (I have a discount card), they looked for me. I was offered a no quibble exchange., the staff at Sheffield were fantastic. Sadly no Keen boots in my size but picked out an alternative. Thank you all, so appreciate this level of service. Ps the dog loved all the attention 😁

Ordered walking shoes via website after a few days had a message saying they did not have stock and would refund as this was a birthday present this was to say the least very disappointing refund came through in a couple of days which is the only good thing I can say about the experience!!

Seems Go Outdoors online have a reoccurring issue at the moment and repeated excuses! Ordered my items 3 weeks ago with a 3-5 day delivery expectation. After nearly 2 weeks of my order still being in the 'Processing' stage. I contacted them to be told that familiar excuse of there being an IT glitch and was reassured my order would be manually 'Pushed through'. Waited a few more days, contacted again to be told the same thing, a few more days passed, yet again contacted to be told they were waiting for the IT team to give them an update.. That was 5 days ago and to be honest I'm not holding out hope of actually ever getting my items now so expect I'll have to go through the lengthy task of trying for a refund. Maybe worth mentioning that 5 days ago I ordered the same item as a present for my husband from Millets online and it arrived yesterday! With these being sister companies it looks like Go Outdoors are the runt of the family! I knew they had a bad reputation last year for online orders but I didn't realise they'd be quite as useless as this.. Needless to say I won't be ordering online from them again and tbh its put me off buying from Go Outdoors at all any more..

Ordered 2x cobb pro and a safari chef 2 bbq.. waiting a week for dispatch and nothing so sent a message to gooutdoors and apparently the cobb is out of stock.... I wouldn't have known if I didn't ask, customer service is rubbish, the rest of my order is being sent although its not been dispatched so I asked to cancel the rest of my order due to only really wanting the cobbs bbq. They can't cancel it even though it hasn't been dispatched! Waste of time

I ordered a jacket from GoOutdoors website on 23/02/21. I waited 3 weeks before I started contacting them. I have contacted them multiple times and every time they say that there was a glitch with the IT service and my order will get pushed. Today is 09/04/21 and the order still shows as processing. I will be contacting them every other day until my order gets dispatched and then I will never order online from this company again. Totally ridiculous and appalling customer service.

28th February I paid for an event shelter which stated would be delivered 3 to 5 days. After 2 weeks I asked when it would be dispatched, sometimes I got an answer from them saying they would get it pushed but a lot of times I asked no reply, I even phoned and was told that there was plenty in stock and she could see they had sent 3 pushes on it, she said she would contact them herself and get it pushed, I thanked her and asked her to send me a email, she promised me she would. Never got a reply so I complained through Resolver then and got a reply on 24th aMarch they would refund me. I thought I would get my money back straight away so ordered the same event shelter from Amazon ,which I received 5 days later, what I did not know when I ordered it was supplied by Go Outdoors. I still have not received my money back from. Go Outdoors so t they have had £204 from 28th February and it’s 9th April and still not got it. There should be a law where they don’t take any money till you dispatch it. Will never shop with Go Outdoors.

If you're looking to buy anything from Gooutdoors and can wait a few more weeks till their stores reopen then do so. Like most other reviews below, i'm an avid fan of gooutdoors "stores" but fell foul to ordering online. I placed an order for 10 items, but only received 2. After two weeks I figured I'd better contact them to find out what's happening with the rest of my order only to be told the 8 remaining items were all out of stock and that my order had been cancelled. If I hadn't contacted them I doubt they would have said anything. It's almost as if they're intentionally taking orders they know they can't fulfil.

The whole thing has been terrible, the customer service is appalling. Each time i email them i am told a different story i have been waiting 3 weeks for my refund It is an absolute shambles Avoid it, its not worth the trouble

Absolutely shocking! Ordered a dmm protection package which was showing as in stock on their website. I then did not receive the item and was advised it was out of stock even though it was sillshowing as available on the website. I ended up having to order other items and then received something completely different. They are now refusing to refund me and I still have not got the item I ordered.

Not a great experience with Go Outdoors and many of these rviews reflect a very similar experience. My issues: 1) Ordered a tend, in stock, paid but then days later they cancel the order saying it is out of stock and so they refund me days later. Seems to be a re-occuring issue that they are taking orders and payment without actually having the stock. 2) I sourced the same tent elsewhere so needed a tent carpet - bought this from Go-Outdoors - no problems here so far. However, the other store Amazon, did the same and cancelled the tent order as there were stock issues. So with no tent once again I try to cancel the tent carpet from Go Outdoors but there is no option to do this online. Had to wait until it was delivered. 3) Take the tent carpet to Royal Mail, cost me £14 to return it tracked! 4)Two weeks later receive a random £8.95 refund from them so i ring to find out where the £44 I should have been refunded is. Spoke to a nice lady customer services agent who tries to investigate, took tracking number and said would confirm that the carpet had been received, will be processed it will just take a month to go through. 5) Now 5 weeks after they had received the tent back (3 weeks since I last called) I had to ring them again to find out where the refund was! Spoke to another agent who confirmed that they had received the tent back, couldn't explain the original £8.95 refund but spoke to their manager and agreed to refund the difference but it will take 3-5 working days! Obviously it was not being processed without my recent call! On top of all the time I have waited plus in all 3 calls to chase them. Judging by their track record I have no confidence it will be refunded in the next 3-5 working days. I will have no choice but to wait and see. Overall, an unpleasant purchase/refund experience in which the onus is completely on the customer to chase/receive money they are rightfully owed.

All the bad reviews are true. The item wasn't in stock even though it stated it was. The delivery time was 3-5 days. Phoned twice after that time. Each time they said that the delivery company picked it up and I should wait 7 days. (Even though on their website say 3-5)The delivery company said they never received it. Go outdoors customer services were clearly lying. Third time I phoned after 7 days they said it was lost in transit. Not good enough. They refunded the item but after reading the reviews I am not holding much hope to get it in 3-5 days. Absolutely shocking customer service. They talk over you, not listening and are very rude. I wouldn't even give them 1 star.

The absolute worst customer service department I have ever dealt with. I will never shop with them again. Garment sent out with a security tag on and although they told me to return through Royal Mail they have not refunded me the cost. This has been treated as joke by them. VERY DISAPPOINTED
