BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE Undelivered parcel fraudulently marked as delivered. Photo of delivered parcel on floor, NOT my floor. The company is employing self employed workers in the Redcar area that are clearly thieves and blatant liars. No actual customer service, as once automated services on phone say your parcel is delivered, the automation will end the conversation whether you have received parcel or not, giving you no help if you did not receive item. No physical person at all to speak to no matter how many times you call. Only very incompetent automatically geared phone, which cannot understand even the yes or no replies. It keeps saying to repeat as did not hear. Truly pathetic.

Worst service ever. Lost 4 parcels totalling £238. Offered postage costs back. Joke of a company. Avoid and use Royal mail

Over the past 4 weeks I have bought many items from different companies. I bought 6 that were being delivered by Hermes. 4 have arrived. All damaged. Looks like they have put heavy items on too and so they’re squashed. 2 items were collected a fortnight ago and still waiting. Don’t try and get in touch. Absolutely hopeless. I will not buy any items now that use this courier. Zero stars from me

Two incidents this year: 1. May 2020 Ordered a cordless lawnmower from Amazon £200+. Delivery was to be by Hermes. Never arrived. Informed Amazon who re-shipped. Arrived OK. 2. Dec 2020. John Lewis accidentally shipped us 12 maps instead of 1 (over £20 each so £200+ over despatched). Contacted JL who booked collection by Hermes between 8 and 8 on a specific date. Hermes didn't turn up (we were in all day). Next day it was impossible to communicate with Hermes via website, chatbot or phone. For each one they wanted a tracking number - There wasn't one, obviously, as they hadn't collected the return. No sign of Hermes (in person, phone, text, email...) the following day. When everything is OK, they're fine - slightest problem and they are hopeless.

Could not believe it when my parcel from savers said it would arrive by Hermes. Always been by royal mail that's why I didn't check first. The parcel arrived late and with a big whole in the side,! Big enough to get a hand inside. Luckily perfume was right at the bottom of the box, and bog standard toiletries on top, so probably not worth anything. Email savers and sent a photo of the damaged box, they replied this is not acceptable, so why of why have you moved to Hermes. They won't get my custom again To be totally honest I have received many online shops from royal mail and even a couple from yodel. I can honestly say none have arrived late and not had any damaged deliveries

For all who have troubles to communicate or get in touch with the Hermes customer service: SEND AN OFFICIAL EMAIL COMPLAINT TO HERMES CEO, this has worked for me. ******************************************************************* Why in your order statement do you indicate your obligation to pick up the parcel from sender’s address on a specific date, when you cannot guarantee a collection on that day? Why, if you cannot guarantee a parcel collection on a specified day, can’t you at least let the sender know about your pick up in the morning of the day of collection? The sender had to sit at home and wait the whole week from the promised pick-up day until the first collection attempt. And it was so ’soon’ just because of the intervention through your CEO (many thanks him for that). Why is it virtually impossible to contact your customer service by email, and the only way to get an email reply from your customer service is to send an email to your CEO first? ******************************************************************* This is my first experience as an order creator and a parcel recipient. Order created on Monday morning 2 November – the parcel to be collected from London, to be delivered to Bridgend, collection date Tuesday 3 November. Ordered, paid, order confirmed – all seem good. However, the sender has waited for your courier all the day, no email to him, no message, no pick up. The parcel has not been collected on following days (4-6 November) either, sender was just sitting in vain at home and waited for your courier from 8am till 8pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday – nothing. The tracking number kept saying ’We’re waiting to receive your parcel from the sender.’ I have repeatedly tried to contact Hermes customer service via several emails found on internet, but none of those worked. The only functional email I found was the one to Hermes CEO Mr. Martijn De Lange, to whom I sent my official complaint on Thursday 5 November in the night. After that, I received an email reply from Hermes customer service on Monday 9 November. Probably only thanks to my intervention via an email to CEO, the first attempt when Hermes courier tried to pick up parcel from the sender was as soon as Tuesday 10 November – the whole week after when it was supposed to be collected (3 November). Unfortunately, the collection was not successful because of missing Hermes label for scanning (my mistake). Label fitted to the parcel in the evening 10 November, parcel ready for the next day collection. I received a phone call from Hermes support 11 November that they have to raise a request for a collection again, and that their management team should reply within 24-48 hours. Also received another email from Hermes customer service on 11 November. I appreciate these responses. However, another 7 days (5 working days) from the first collection attempt have passed, but the parcel still has not been collected, no any update either. On Wednesday 18 November morning I am sending an enquiry email to Hermes support team (via a secret email not found directly anywhere publicly on internet) about the progress in my case, but no reply. So on Friday morning 20 November sending an escalation complaint email, again to Hermes CEO. Just a couple of hours after that – the magic has happened – the parcel is being picked up from the sender, and delivered to my address on Wednesday 25 November. What a painful journey! Was it just bad luck I did have with Hermes? I don’t know. But it was a very useful and valuable experience and lesson for me. To be fair, two weeks later I have tested Hermes once more again. One significant difference – parcel has not been collected from the sender’s address, but the sender sent it via Hermes drop off point. He dropped it there on Wednesday morning, and on Friday night the item delivered – the delivery time less than three days – smooth, flawless, perfect service. As if it were a completely different Hermes. So overall – rather mixed experience. Will I try to use Hermes again in the future? To be honest – I don’t know, but if so, then only via a drop off point, never again with the option to pick up the parcel at the sender's address. Three stars for one appalling and one perfect experience.

if i could give zero stars, i would. When i say that the service from the company has been awful, i mean it has been the worst I have ever received. I got an email saying they tried to deliver my parcel despite the driver not even ringing my doorbell. It was in the evening so I can assure you i was in. I have not had any further contact from them as to the whereabouts of my package or when i will receive it despite having called them many times. Use other couriers, the effort i have spent trying to track this package and the frustration it has caused me is not worth it.

I have been waiting in for my parcel . The next thing I got was a text saying it had been delivered .. it hadn’t! I have tried to get hold of Hermes so they could phone courier and ask .. but you get an automated Holly and she is rubbish!! Holly ‘says’ the parcel has been delivered and they have proof!.. again complete rubbish!... I’ve added their photo .. normally when Hermes delivers they take a photo of the door number etc ... nope not this time!.. I will say their ‘live ‘ chat is automated Holly.. I tried phoning but again automated!! A few weeks ago I sent a parcel and they didn’t get that either.. it was sent to the ‘safe place’ that no one knows about!! Oh and they can’t get hold of the courier!! Complete crooks!!!!!

Firstly, I put in my details of which took me 20 minutes to put in on my phone with all information. To establish further information by pressing '?' it wipes off info you wrote and you have to start again. I did this three time after containing my frustration, then on the third ho it wouldn't accept my payment card which I've used with them before and there are no problems with it. The card is a Mastercard of which I use online for many transactions. After trying numerous times, still declined, I tried contacting Hermes customer helpline, however they have a rigid gatekeeper/ automated system (Bot) who will not put you through unless you have a customer number or parcel number. Of course to get these you need to have completed transaction. So I went online to find another method of contact to Hermes, however the is none. It seems if you want to contact Hermes customer support ithout the gatekeeper, you can by a premium call number which charges you £6 to connect. It seems to me therefore Hermes are not worried about customer service only extortiong money from existing and further potential customers. Needless to say I will be using other forms of courier from now on. Definitely not Hermes. I cant answer the following because you cannot get through to them. They have no email and no human agent you can speak with.

Expecting a delivery from Superdry as a Christmas present and when tracked it was saying that it was delivered at 22:44, but never seen that. Driver must be really happy with that present. Avoid using this robbing slags.

I have a package stuck with this useless shower for two weeks. They have made 6 unsuccessful delivery attempts. They say they have trouble getting to my address. In the same time period near every other delivery firm has delivered. I contacted customer services nothing the email said from them has happened and now they don’t respond to my emails. Customer services are nearly impossible to use on their website as the package is still in their system so it won’t let me do anything just says enter another tracking number after i enter my details. I am sure my next review will be for a damaged item as its been in and out their van 7 or 8 times. One 3-5 day delivery and things look like the box has been through a war. That many times and it will be smashed into tiny pieces. The most incompetent, uncaring, difficult to deal with and unreliable delivery firm out there.

did not collect my returns, when I tracked it, they have cancelled it as collection no longer required for no reason. I have since tried to contact them but the automated phone assistance tells me my returns is no longer required and does not give me an option to resolve it. Totally unacceptable.

Just this week £500 worth of Christmas stuff missing. One delivery to wrong address and have still not received it. Next delivery scheduled - does not arrive (not even attempted); they reschedule - still does not arrive or not attempted. The system is clearly wrong or there is a problem with the package. I contacted Hermes - only way is trough automated system. Says 2 working days to respond. On the third day receive automated response that it is out for delivery and track it. Clearly - 1. Hermes don’t read the messages you send in their system; 2. Hermes just reply on their “automated” system to respond. Totally meaningless and a waste of time. Obviously the item is lost, stolen, damaged or something similar or it would have been delivered. I now avoid companies who use Hermes or ask them to send it through a different service. That way I know I will actually get the items. I actually cancelled an order yesterday when found out was Hermes - bought it elsewhere and will be delivered today.
