“Ordered Disney Traditions figurine from Nigel O Hara on 23/03/15 for an 18th birthday present on 2/5/15. I am still waiting for my order. I can't log onto my account for some strange reason - I know my password is correct but it won't accept it and no option to change password. I was told my item would be in stock end of April, but won't hold my breath! I have asked to cancel my order and obtain a refund but heard nothing. It is impossible to obtain a phone number from their website, although reading all the reviews it probably wouldn't help anyway! Not sure if I can claim the money back from my credit card company as it cost under £100. Just wish I had read these reviews before I ordered I wouldn't have touched them with a barge pole. “BEWARE: Nigel O'Hara only stock about 5% of their catalogue. Items marked as "Available" or "Available to order" mean they will order from the manufacturer (why two status's for the same thing? probably to make things misleading, they like doing this). It's now been 12 days since I ordered, no-sign of delivery, infact the order status still says "processing", I feel 12+ days to get stock from a manufacturer which is marked as "available" just isn’t acceptable in 2015.
They have "LIVE SUPPORT"! Although what this really means is you can send an email through an online form which they will respond to in around 1-2hrs (if your lucky), again very misleading and is far from what the title suggests. Keep in mind this is a company that strives to hide there phone number, there’s several places on the website it says you can call them, but there is no number anywhere on their website, alarm bells ringing yet?
Customer Service. I've had two reply’s using the "live support" system, both were very vague, trying to avoid the point, misdirect the conversation, push the blame, of no help whatsoever. Apparently it was my fault I didn’t understand it takes 12+ days for them to get stock marked as "available" from their manufacturer, although if you read reviews 99% of negative ones are based on 1. delivery time, (so I'm obviously not alone here) 2. poor customer servers & 3... what I'm about to come to now.
Refunds! Now I can't comment on this yet, because I'm not calling them asking for a refund until tomorrow (its Sunday as I write this). However as I've already experienced problem 1&2 of what most negative reviews concern, it wont surprise me if getting my money back is also going to be a problem. Story’s of 20-30+ days are pretty frequent in the negative review section, I guess time will tell....”
“I ordered perfume about 2 weeks ago and I have still not received the goods, but they have taken the money out of my account. I sent an email to ask for a delivery date, only to be told that they are waiting on stock from the manufacturer within the next few days and that my parcel will be upgraded to urgent.

Seems like a scam to me, given all the negative reviews, there seems to be a pattern emerging, why is trading standards not getting involved with this company. They go out of their way to not publish a phone number, and even if you do find it and manage to speak to someone they just bounce you to the "live support" on the website. Sadly the live support is awful. It took them over 52 hours to respond... this is with their "average response time" being shown as around 2 hours on the website. Had I had a response in a reasonable amount of time, then I wouldn't be looking for a phone number.

“My experience has been very similar to others who have left bad reviews here. I ordered from their website 2 weeks ago now, the money was taken immediately and I have still yet to receive any kind of email confirmation. If I log in to their site it still says "pending".
Tried ringing and ringing in office hours. No reply. Have raised multiple support emails through their website, no reply. When I finally (after about 100 times trying) got through to them on the phone I had exactly the same experience as others here: "We've had to order it directly from the supplier, we don't know when it will arrive but it will be soon". Still nothing. They even then had the cheek to tell me that when it does arrive at their depot it will take a further 5 days to get to me unless I paid them more money for faster delivery.
This site is an absolute scam and would highly recommend people to avoid them like the plague. My suspicion is that many of the items for sale (and apparently available) on their website aren't actually in their possession and they are just stalling for time whilst they try to source it. Have literally never had any experience like this with any other online retailer, they are a complete joke. All I want is some honesty as to when I can expect my item and some form of response/confirmation of my order from them. This is absolutely standard for any other retailer. I have now got to the point where I am considering contacting trading standards to have them investigate the company, as with no confirmation of any kind to my email, and no means of readily contacting them, I am starting to wonder if they have simply taken my money and done a runner.”
“The staff attempted to provide decent service until the boss butted in. He was very rude to his staff and belittled them in front of customers. I thought this was incredibly poor practice.
As I was looking for a small gift, he didn't seem overly interested, but when a customer behind me mentioned looking for an engagement ring, I was ditched immediately. At this point one of the members of staff came back again after being shouted at. I decided then, that I would prefer to give my business to another company.
The service really was not good at all, but in fairness to the staff, being treated in such a way, I can't say I blame them! If he is willing to shout and make little of them in front of customers, what is he like away from customers.

“I just want to share how bad customer service is in this company. Needless to say, I didn't receive my item in the end.
I ordered headphones online. After a week, I made an enquiry asking for an update. I was told that the headphones had been successfully placed with the manufacturer but without any idea of time scale.
Then I contacted the company again and received a message that they do anticipate my item to arrive with them within the coming days. After my several attempts to contact them, asking pretty much straight forward questions about the delivery timescale, I had never received a clear answer on my simple questions.
After two weeks, I contacted them again. This time I was told that my item is no longer available for dispatch and can not be received from the manufacturer. This due to it now being a discontinued line.
Now the best part - I contacted the manufacturer to find out whether the headphones are really discontinued or not. The manufacturer got back to me saying "no they are not discontinued at all"...
An awful experience overall. I asked a refund straight away and I hope that after two weeks of holding my money they will be quick in issuing the refund. I would suggest to other readers of this review to think twice before make an order with this company.”

We would expect your order to be completed within 1-2 weeks and we will keep you update on any changes in lead time. The money is debited from your account once the order is placed after instruction from our bank. “I ordered a watch as a gift for my wife from Nigel O Hara on the 26th April in the hopes it would arrive within a couple of weeks. Nigel O Hara said they had none in stock and were in contact with the manufacturer. This went on for a few weeks, most times Nigel O Hara stating "we can confirm that we will receive your order in a week and will email you once dispatched". Weeks passed and nothing happened, apart from the occasional email offering another product as mine still was not available. On 3rd June (more than a month after the original order), Nigel O Hara finally said they could not fulfil the order offered a full refund, which I requested straight away. It is now 7th July (34 days after requesting the refund), and I have still have not received anything.
Whenever you send a message via there online support system, you receive a prompt, yet obvious template reply which states nothing about what the problem is. All it says is that they will pass on the request to the finance department. I called Nigel O Hara on Friday 4th July to speak to someone in the finance department, I was told (by Nathan, a sales rep, that his manager told him) that I would receive my refund in 24-48 hours, as well as a confirmation email. It is more that 48 hours later and nothing. I have now had to go through my Halifax Credit Card company to try and get the refund.
By the way, the watch that I ordered, and was told they could not fulfil as they couldn't get it from the manufacturer, is still being advertised on the Nigel O Hara website as "available to order". I even told them that their website was still showing that it was available and they haven't bothered to change it.”
“DISGRACEFUL
Ordered a watch for ~£160 because it was about £5 cheaper than other sites (what a mistake to make). Took a month to be delivered, had to chase and got several holding replies about supplier etc. Then I looked at online reviews....this is a common problem!Watch arrived after about a month! Fault on day/date mechanism and so it was returned explaining this and well within their quoted 30 day online returns policy! Watch was simply sent back to me with presentation box ripped and tags removed! Red rag to a bull, so I once again returned it stating this. Again it was sent back, this time with a handwritten reference no sticker on the box and another tag missing. Court action was threatened and a deadline given, which inevitably passed! Used the Courts Service of Northern Ireland online Small Claims service which is relatively simple to use! All their deadlines passed without reply and so court ruled in my favour. After 3 weeks I sent watch back with copy of CCJ enclosed and received Paypal payment quite quickly with a comment from Nigel O'Hara Diamond Jewellers that if they didn't receive emailed acknowledgment of the payment within 24 hrs, the payment would be withdrawn! What a way to deal with a claim against you??
My advice should you have any problems is simply to get your Credit Card company involved to sort out the return of the payment or if you want to help others out, apply for a small claim against Nigel O'Hara Diamond Jewellers to try and get them to deliver some customer service and be honest...they will capitulate eventually!”
