They managed to smash it. 3 weeks i sent e-mails, saying they had broken it, they asked for this & that, & in the end they tell me it,s not covered because it was glass, as stated to them in the first e-mail. There's no way to truly describe how awful Parcelforce is as a company and how atrocious their service is. Out of numerous incidents I had with them (and every time I had a delivery with them it was not out of my own choice - it's because they seem to have some sort of monopoly on EMS parcels from abroad) the most spectacular cock up of them all.
I had an EMS delivery - they're supposed to take up to 10 working days, but took nearly a month due to customs. Then I waited for a letter asking for payment of tax, which never arrived, but fortunately I managed to sort this one over the phone (there's one nice and competent person in Oxford for the entire company). After a month I finally had my delivery scheduled, so I arranged with a family member to collect it as I work regular business hours. Come back home in the evening: no parcel, no "attempted delivery" card, nothing - and yet the tracking happily exclaims that the item's been delivered. I phone the depot the next morning only to be "served" by a rude man who rudely told me that my parcel's been delivered to number 9, not 19. He kept interrupting me, sounded as if he couldn't care less and was very clear about washing his/the company's hands off the entire thing claiming it was not their responsibility. I was lucky enough to be able to receive my parcel (thank you, good neighbour at no 9), and examined the postage label - lo and behold, it does say 19! Just as the 4 (not one, FOUR) separate emails from the original seller said. I contact Parcelforce to complain and ask for some form of compensation, providing them with photos and screenshots of the original postage label and all four emails with the address highlighter - nope! Lorraine, who was emailing me, not only continued to accept that the misdelivery was Parcelforce's mistake, but upon receiving the photo of the original postage label said, and I quote directly from her email, "Also thank you for the attachment which clearly shows the house number was number 9". Couldn't even bother to phrase this in a more professional way, confirming Parcelforce's very childish and unprofessional attitude towards both their customers and accepting responsibility for their cock ups. Needless to say, no constructive advice, never mind any kind of compensation, was offered.
As I said, this was just the last of many "wonderful" adventures I have had with this joke of a company. I am shocked that, given the current level of atrocious customer service, they continue to exist, and even 1 out of anything is way too high for what they're actually delivering. I have vowed to make extra effort to avoid them as much as possible, even if it will cost me triple the price in postage, and I urge every single one of you to take your custom somewhere else, where your parcels will not be mishandled by illiterate delivery drivers, where you won't have to deal with rude, unprofessional and unhelpful customer service and where you'll have peace of mind about whether your items will ever even get to you/your recipients.”
“I have used these for 12 years but I won't anymore they have gone from bad to worse. 4 items in the last year damaged even though they were triple boxed!!! Plus no compensation received -as loads of items are not covered including glass or any type of furniture. Last item not collected from mine as they said it wasn't booked even though I had confirmation email. Man on phone helpfully suggested I bring it to the depot, I pointed out why would I book it to be collected I could bring it myself”
“I absolutely cannot believe the shocking experience I have had from this company. My parcel arrived in the country at their office 2 weeks ago. I specifically left instruction to call me because the intercom to our large block of flats is broken.
They have driven to our house 4 times and not delivered because they intercom doesn't work.
Even after calling everytime to arrainge a date and let them know the intercom is broken and they need to call when they are outside. I have specifically take off work to be home.
So the cost of me taking 3 days off work = £1200 the cost of them driving to me 4 times =£? The cost of a phone call to say, in down stairs = £0.05
I don't have a vehicle to collect the parcel from their office which is to big to carry on the tube or bus. So I'm now expected to pay for a taxi to and from their office!!!!?????? ????
Don't use this company, don't waist your time or your money! I will literally send back every parcel anyone sends me from this company and I will never ever ever ever ever use them ever again no matter what. They should be closed down and the owner should be sent to jail.”
“Whilst my parcel was delivered on the day originally arranged, this was after receiving a text message (confirmed by info on their tracking website) that informed me it would be delivered on the Saturday. The parcel never arrived and I was told that it was not going to be delivered (having waited in all day). When asked for compensation - was refused. When asked for a response from the Managing director - was told he was too busy to deal with customers.
The service regarding this complaint was disgraceful.”

I had a parcel that was suppose be delivered on Friday , I did leave delivery instructions, called Saturday and spoke to a lady after being in the que for a long time , she then told me that because of misunderstanding she will have that arranged for next day without any extra charge for Saturday , was indoors all day and didn't go to work for that and called in serveral times and people keep giving me different information, last person told me that still
Coming Saturday and then someone told me Monday it will be delivered , I have then giving next building address as told her that can give that to the concierge and that was fine , no delivery on Monday and every attempt haven't been left any note or anything so have been calling in so many times and then went to track my order and said it was a delivery attempt on tues , and still didn't leave with concierge , I'm getting really tired of this and thinking of canceling the order and needed this delivery for the weekend , I find this all very frustrating and delays and unreliable service, waste of time and worst service I have experienced.”
“Sent the item to themselves, so it took a WEEK to receive item that was post with next day before 12 oclock delivery. When it finally arrived it was broken, and complaint was closed before me knowing, and status is repaid (19 pounds for 200 pound insured item), where NO MONEY has been paid back, and 19 pounds is an insult. It take extra kind of stupid to send item to their own despatch depot (exeter) too.... Stay away from these clowns... ...”

Dispite me finding the correct post code the femal member of staff refused to listen and hung up on me. This was for a car part that I had collected and was to be sent to my garage. Every other part arrived fine so leads to my question why do parcel force find it so hard????”

“I received a text confining my parcel will be delivered the following day, therefore I organised to stay at home to receive the parcel. At 12h30 the following day I became concerned that I did not receive any further correspondence so I tracked my item only to learn it has not been dispatched for delivery. I called customer services and wast told there was an issuerror in Coventry and the parcel will now only be delivered the following day. I called customer services and they would not even offer me compensation for wasting my time. I work in the service industry and we offer compensation if we miss appointments. Parcelforce confirmed delivery on a specific date but did not bother letting me know, when they experienced complications, that they will not be able to deliver. Their customer service are pathetic and I would advise anyone thinking of using them to think again, you will dissapoint your customers and loose their business in exactly the same way I will not be buying from the company I bought from again. Also, I will not use Parcelforce ever to ship my product since their customer care policy is non existent.”
