“So I ordered a bookshelf from IKEA which used parcel force to deliver their items. They provided me with a date which they will be delivering my item, but when I called Parcal to rearrange the delivery, the lady who I spoken to said that she does not know how to rearrange diliverys and the best advise she could give is wait until the dilivery has happened, I would get a card through my door, and I should call the number on the card and arrange a re delivery.
So I waited, received the card of attempted delivery, called the number and arranged for a date that I would be available . I thought that everything has been sorted and and I would receive my item on my selected date, but I was wrong. . .
When the date came of dilivery, I stayed in all day, but the longer it took, the longer I became more concerned. The evening came and I decided that I would call parcel force to check the status of the delivery, when I was transferred to a department, the man that I spoke to was extremely unhelpful, and very rude, he's was eating some sort of food whilst speaking to me, and clapping his mouth very loud when I was speaking too. When I asked him where my delivery was, he said that there is no record of delivery today, and I would have to ring Coventry deport to arrange a delivery slot. I explained to him that I have booked it for this date, and I have been waiting all day. His reply was "what do you expect me to do" and "call Coventry yourself". I decided to speak to the manager, and he was no help too! When I took it upon my self to sort this mess out, I called Coventry deport, waited over 30 mins to speak to someone, and the lady that I was transferred to was loud, rude and Obnoxious. Infact, she was so rude I decided that I have had enough of being passed around that I hung up and called ikea to cancel my order, and get a refund.
I spoke a gentleman at ikea that was very helpful and offered to speak to parcel force on my behalf. I agreed and gave him a date that I would be available to collect the delivery.
When the day came AGAIN when my parcel was meant to be delivered, it was delivered, but It's absolutely damaged and open, when I saw it I was disgusted and I honestly thought this was a not so funny prank that someone was playing. It literally looked liked it's been kicked around and the dogs were attaking it. I immediately called IKEA to express my rage and disappointment and advised them to stop using parcel force . They explained that they will arrenge an extange and they would use a different company to deliver my item.
I waited over a month for a book shelf. A month! And I'm still waiting. I would bare in mind when buying online what type of dilvery service companies use. If I so happen to come across or know they use parcel force, I most certainly will not be purchasing anything from them on the pure fact that I would avoid using this shameful, unorganised company again!”

“I received a text message with the estimated time . The delivery driver came earlier then the estimated time and dropped the card for pick up the delivery from a post office .
2 days later I supposed to receive another delivery and again I got a text message with estimated time . I called and requested to avoid school run time . The customer service adviser told me She would send message to the driver and I should receive the item as the time I mentioned . This again never happen . Over all I would say this service is absolutely useless.
I had no choose , because I am the receiver of this good . But I wouldn't use them ever .”
“Terrible customer service, the call centres were really unhelpful and my parcel waa delivered in really poor condition, they were not interested and reminded me that they are completely unregulated and are under no obligation to escalate or help.

I waited at home all day for the parcel. The eBay seller made a mistake and I was asked to refuse the delivery so it would be sent back and I wouldn't be charged. Turns out my door bell didn't work so Parcel Force got my neighbour (who I don't know - I just moved in ) sign for it. The neighbour thought they were doing the right thing and left it at my door. Unlike a person below whose neighbour didn't give it to them this would be a good experience. Well no, because I was going to refuse delivery.
I contacted Parcel Force and they said they would come back to pick it up the same day. So i waited the rest of the day, until 6pm, and they didn't come. I called back the next day, Saturday, and could only get the generic line who had limited information. It seemed on his system that they were coming to pick it up. Again I waited all day at home for it to be picked up. Nothing.
Called today (Monday) they knew nothing about it and have said they will send someone to pick it up tomorrow. So for the third time I have to wait at home all day.
They better come!!
Next time I buy something online I will be asking first what delivery company they use. Other companies will give you a time slot, some do 1 hour, some do 3 hours, so you don't have to wait home all day. And they don't leave parcels with random neighbours, they will attempt a redelivery and leave a card.

“I can only ditto the other comments on here. Absolute RUBBISH service! Do yourself a favour and never use this company, especially if you have valuable or urgent goods to send. If it was possible to give a minus 5* rating I would.. I used my local Post Office to send a 2-page document to a Law Firm in Panama. I was only offered 2 options; normal Royal Mail costing £8.99 or Global Express Priority, with guaranteed 3 day delivery (signed for) by courier, costing £71.92. As this document was urgent and time sensitive and my son had travelled to Panama specifically for a meeting with the Law Firm, which depended on them getting this document, I opted for the Global Express delivery. The document was posted before my son went to Panama on a two-week visit. At the end of the 2 weeks the document had still not been received by the Law Firm, meaning my son had to leave without completing his business and will have to return at a later date (from Australia) to finish his business. During the 2 weeks he was there we both tracked via the website without success. Parcelforce admitted that although it had eventually been delivered to Panama, they had no idea where it was or why it had not been delivered to it's destination! I subsequently made a claim for the postage as the document was not delivered till after my son left (nearly 3 weeks after posting). The basis of my claim was that it was 'guaranteed' 3-day delivery which they had not honoured. Guess what? Of course, they have refused to pay! Absolute shoddy and very unprofessional service. I will NEVER use them again! Charlatans...”
“Don't use them use Fed-Ex or anyone else! Left a note on the door instructing them to leave with my neighbour& giving them my permission to do so, in turn they left me a note saying "sorry we missed you" as they clearly cannot read & told me it would be delivered again tomorrow?! Big joke, it's still showing that it's sitting in their warehouse so who knows when I'll get it but like many I work & don't have time to sit waiting for a just in case delivery. I never get this issue from Fed-Ex, DPD, TNT or Hermes which I use a lot, they are always happy to leave it where I ask them to. C'mon Parcel Force, do the decent thing & call it a day!”
“I have never known such incompetence from a "professional" company. My delivery was rejected .....by someone at a different address and postcode, thank God he was honest and said that the name wasn't his. The driver didn't even ask if it was the right address, as the gentleman had a different name, (I know this because i went from door to door to try and find my parcel when it was on the tracking that it had been delivered and signed for. What i didnt realise at the time was that it had been delivered and signed for back at the london post office, but ill get to that bit later. The gentleman down the road who had received the attempted delivery told me what had happened) and promptly sent it back to a London post office when the parcel specifically said, according to the sender, to be returned to the sender's address! Just how incompetent can you be? And now, the sender has to pay YOU £14 to redeliver YOUR mistake! My local take-away does a better job of delivering!!! I just thank God you aren't part of the emergency services!!!”

“I was waiting for a parcel that was due to be delivered on a Saturday morning, day that I specifically chose because I knew I would be at home. As I did not receive it, I tracked it and... surprise! It was apparently delivered to my neighbour because I "wasn't at home". My neighbour denied having received any parcel at all, so I called customer service after deciding to make an official complaint. When I stated that I find unacceptable that a parcel is delivered to someone else without my consent, the customer service staff member replied that it was not a reason good enough to complain. Well, if paying for an item that was delivered to someone else, if not being given any proper explanation and if this not being the first time that I have an issue with Parcelforce is not enough to complain, what else do I need?”
“i though that if you pay the premium to have a 24 hour service the item should be with you within 24 hours? it would appear that they only stand by the 24 hour service once they have collected it, it can take them 4 days to collect it but they still didn't offer me a refund.

“Twice now I have expected a parcel to be delivered only to find the driver prefers to just send a "we tried to deliver" through the letter box. If they actually bothered to do their job they would find I actually was at home. Completely horrendous service.”
“Completely useless service. Paid extra for a delivery on a Saturday. Received text message to say my parcel would be delivered between 9-10am. Parcel did not arrive. Made 3 phone calls to parcel force and was unable to get information about when the parcel would be delivered. Waited in the flat until 1:30pm and received a text message to say delivery was attempted but no-one was in. Completely wrong. Now I'm being told nothing can be done until Monday. Will not be using you service again and expect to be refunded the Saturday delivery charge plus compensation for time wasted.”
“I find it very difficult to explain just how incompetent parcel force are. UK Customs received a priority parcel from USA. The parcel was sent for inspection. Parcel Force then received the parcel for delivery. When I discovered that UK Customs had inspected the parcel I felt that I would be lucky to receive the parcel with it's contents intact. I telephoned UK Customs and pleaded with them to take the parcel back and ensure it had been properly repacked and sealed and not just sent on with their usual disregard for the contents. They told me essentially of go away and there was no chance of this happening. It had taken be months to find a supplier of these products at the right price.
What happened then was beyond belief. First parcel force forgot to notify me of the charge and the item was placed on their vehicle for delivery and then taken off. The charge was paid immediately and since then I have waited in and telephoned parcel force repeatedly and written to their MD over what has been said to me.
I repeatedly phoned and not once has parcel force returned the calls or advised me where my parcel is. I have spent hours on hold and then having the Parcel Force employees just putting the phone down. I have been transferred randomly to people who have nothing to do with the matter. So shocking is their response that at times I have been taking to people who appear to think that they have small parts in a James Gagney gangster movie.
Not one single person has bothered to provide any kind of explanation of where the parcel is or whether it will be delivered at all. I have been treated with complete contempt as though actually delivering parcels was an optional extra. It so difficult to put in words as to how I have been treated. Beware.”
“Rubbish company. Was expecting a parcel, waited in all day. The parcel didn't turn up in the time slot.
Their excuse? The driver wasn't on his regular route and couldn't find the address. Pathetic. Shouldn't have a job as a delivery driver then.

“Not deserving of even one star, this company is the pits. ! I dont quite understand how it survives as I and others it seems have had so many bad experiences with it and like others I will enquire when purchasing online, which courier the company uses...if it's this lot I'll take my business elsewhere. A recent delivery went off the tracking radar for days and calls to them at premium rate were cut off after 10/15 minutes, then I was lied to about what had happened. Miraculously tracking was up and running again once the retailer got involved and it was mentioned that it had been damaged. I got a full refund but wasted nearly 2 weeks and a company had my money for nothing in return...and I have to wait up to 5 days more before my refund reaches my account. The offhand, casual approach and obvious rough handling of things in their care are wholly unprofessional and I sincerely hope this shower go out of business before causing stress and frustration to any more poor unsuspecting members of the public. They are an utter disgrace. !”
