Pathetice service. My parents were expecting their order on 21/10. After numerous phone calls (which in average took 30 mins for them to answer) was the order chased up. Even then no one could provide an explanation till 5 days later. Their store manager seems to be busy to answer the phone. Although the call handlers and sales team are pleasant enough ( want the money) the procrsses are totally incompetent. The only good part of the service was the carpet fitters and they Are and external company! Please save your time and money and go to a business that will care about you as a customer.

This is the most incompetent service i have witnessed. My parents were expecting their order on 21/10 - only after numerous phone calls (which can take up 30 mins for them to answer) did someone chase it up. Only after 5 days did i get a response, even then there were delays. We still havent received our order. Please save your time and money for a business that will actually care about you as a customer

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!! do not buy from this uncaring, ignorant and money grabbing company. We had a battle with scs over misrepresentation made by one of their managers called John at their store in Sprowston Norwich, he lied through his teeth to get the sale, after 4 months we won our case with the credit card company and got a full refund, it took a hard battle because of the lies made by scs, if you do have a problem getting a refund through your bank, i recommend that you never give up and fight scs with all you have, scs will be hoping you give up.

The aftercare have said some bizzare things to me to make me think all is being looked into, phone a few days later and no one is taking action to rectify your problem. The carpet is great just hope there is no problems come fitting day because aftercare is was like after work 3 days off staying at home waiting for solutions to be rectified and on the day no one called to say no one will be coming, I found out when I called them myself and when asked if they were going to tell me there was no response to my question apart from ummm ummm its the stores problem. Why even employ a customer service team, I think its probably just because its a legal thing there is no interest from scs to improve their cs services via training or whatever else can help, i think they have figured out that for there business model its more profitable for them to bot invest in cs. So the more people that see these reviews the better. They can then at least have an idea as i did not look at scs reviews before purchasing, obviously they probably have many happy customers more happy then unhappy But if you have an issue then based on my experience with this company i honestly feel youve got a job on your hands.

The worst service I have ever had... initially a fitting date is booked.. we take furniture out the day before and we get a call to say it’s now not happening and will have to be rebooked... we put the furniture back in the lounge.. and we rebook.. we get a delivery and guess what the carpet is fitted but it’s too short!!! The after sale is horrendous.. you get passed from pillar to post.. a refitting date is booked and guess what no one turns up.. did we get told.. no!! No one calls you back.. the advisors just don’t care.. advisors thinks it’s ok to just transfer you around because they can’t be bothered to deal with you.. no resolution is being given apart from £250 off a £1000 carpet to keep as it is..I really don’t think they get it!!.. the carpet is too bloody short.. really!!! An uplift and refund is offered .. again seriously that leaves my elderly mother without a carpet!! Regional manager Simon states that’s all they can offer... maybe he needs to speak to customers to actually realise the realisation of the problem.. it’s very easy throwing a unrealistic figure at someone... you ask for the CEO details... guess what! no has them... I will get them though and will be emailing the CEO.. It’s been weeks of stress for ourselves and my mother.. lots more incompetence that we’ve dealt with but too much to put on here.. otherwise you’d be reading a book.. I will not let this lie..

Absolutely fuming! Ordered sofa and footstool last month and was offered last Friday as delivery date, which I turned down as I was away and they offered today as an alternative. No sofa arrives...and not even a courtesy message or call to say it won't be coming! Paperwork shows it will be coming! I've taken day off work...cleared the space for it...and sat waiting all day!! Customer services said it's an 'estimated delivery date'... What?! How can you expect people to sit in for several days just in case it arrives that day?!... When the invoice says today's date? Prehaps I should have 'estimated' when I will pay for the sofa?!... Customer service is supposedly getting the store to call me...I'm still waiting!!

I have ordered a carpet and a sofa from SCS by the end of July 2019. After a very long delay, the fitting day for carpet was agreed on the 5th of November to be followed by the sofa on the 8th. On Saturday November the 2nd and in preparation for the new furniture, I took all the old carpet off and donated the old sofa. However, on the fitting day, I was shocked when the fitter broke the news: the carpet has wrong size! I was so frustrated! SCS sent a surveyor to take the measurements, hence it wasn’t my mistake whatsoever! Now with two children running around a solid wood I had to wait three weeks for the carpet to be reordered! SCS offered nothing and they were even so rude, as if it was my mistake. They didn’t even agree to provide any spare carpet while waiting to get the ordered one. I spent hours on the phone trying to find a solution but to no avail. SCS didn’t even show any sympathy and not even tried to take any responsibility for what happened. I spoke to citizen advice and the only thing they did is directing me to read consumer rights act . What a terrible experience

We had our settee for about 3 years which was fabric leatherette, and the top layer of this settee was coming off, had the insurance they came out and said it was wear and tear which we weren't happy with, so phoned scs they said we could pay £75 for an independent person to come put which we did , man came out said it was a manufacturing fault with the material, and that scs would either recover it , or give us a new one, giltbrook store , eastwood, only then offered us 40% off a new one, we werent happy with that so they've sent it to a retail company that sorts out disputes, that was June were still waiting, another 90 days from October, doesn't look like it's going to get sorted anytime soon scs are rubbish if this is your customer service, our settee has deteriorated even more now its disgusting, if I would have continued with the finance I would have only just finished paying for these settees that are now no good, so my advice is dont take out the insurance not worth the paper it's written on , or leather kit sold to us with a fabric settee at 30 quid

Carpet was good and price fair. BUT delivery was awful, arranged somebody to be at the property for the fitters to lay the carpet but the fitters didn't show up, tried to call SCS Norwich for hours but no one picks up the phone, eventually they came 1 week after the original agreed date and fitted OK. All fine in the end but not worth the hassle

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING SERVICE ...... Absolutely SHOCKING service ... ordered HSL carpet from GLOUCESTER which was measured up on 29 Sept ... told by store fitter would be available for fitting on 14 Oct. Received call the Friday before from store saying fitter had quit and we would need to rearrange - first available date was today 7 Nov to which I reluctantly agreed. After chasing store this morning, got a call to say fitter wasn't coming so carpet would not be fitted today - with no idea when it would be fitted. As a self employed contractor I have now lost two days pay (if I don't work I don't get paid), making this the most expensive carpet I've ever bought. I'll be going into store this pm to cancel my order

I bought a leather sofa recliner. £2500 !!! After 2 months: 1. Sofa pocket. I have never used it and I explain how it turned out. 2. On the right side of the sofa is like a hole. I don't say anymore when you sit down on the sofa. I can attach a picture with us to see how skinny we are. The sofa is used maximum 1-2 hours a day. We have no pets, the children are at school and when they return they do not sit on the sofa. If you sit down there you are like inside of the hole. 3. Because of the bad quality of the material on the left side the material of the sofa has been touched, has become fad. Again, how can explain that if we used for 1-2 hour and we have home clothes. Even if wearing jeans or sitting all day on the sofa it was not normal to do this in the first year of use. furniture should last a lifetime if it is of quality. especially since I paid a lot for . They send me in the shop to choose another sofa because mine is discontinued. I just my money back because all of them are poor quality.

I bought a carpet. The carpet was fitted by fitters provided by scs. They cut it too short and you could see floorboards and underlay on the stairs and landing. Scs store manager agreed to replace the carpet as a "good will gesture" yup seriously... Those were his words. To my horror they layed an awful cheap carpet that was not the carpet they showed me in store. When I went back to compare the stand had gone. The carpet started to pull threads and disintegrated within 6 months. Horrendous. After a lengthy battle I eventually managed to get my money back and I went elsewhere. Although I was still 100 bucks down. Scs verdict was that I had "hoovered the carpet incorrectly" seriously!!! Such a terrible company. Scam artists. Avoid avoid avoid.

I bought a sofa for my daughter, when we were there buying it, they couldn't have been nicer. The sales persone was named Niall and the store was at Nottingham near IKEA.  The advice from Niall was that the standard seating and the foam up grade were the same in standard, and as long as you pump up the seats they will be fine I asked about doing the upgrade but was told it wasnt needed. We bought the settee and even it was looked after, it was all lumpy within three weeks and nothing could be done. I spoke to Ali who stated he was the manager, I was informed that there was nothing that they can do as I had made my decision when buying the sofa, Ali then said "you sound like a lady who knows about sofas so you should have known better". I am totally outraged to be treated in this way, as I tried to point out that SCS should be looking at the training of there staff, so that customers are not miss sold items of furniture. I wish I had gone to DFS, as there service is second to none, I hope that others read this, so they dont make the same mistake

Purchased a tree piece suit 18 months… Purchased a tree piece suit 18 months ago now. After 11 mouths one of the recliners looked as if we had had it for 11 years, the seat sank so low you had a job to get out of it, But they did come out and put some more foam in it. Now it has sank again and the other chair is going the same way, not what you expect for £2.396, plus £220 for insurance. Well after trying to claim on the insurance it turns out it is not worth the paper its written on. And SCS want to charge me £75 to come out to inspect it, and if its a defect repair it. Well to be honest, if you have paid a lot of hard earned money for what they claim is a quality product, then why do they want to charge to repair there product? Bottom line is DONT BUY FROM THEM.
