Sorry but I will never book with them again. Owe me £3,700 for a cancelled holiday. Fobbed off, sent a credit note which I don't want. I want my money back! So dissapointed as had several holidays with them. If they had done the right thing and refunded cash I would have booked with them in the future.

Hello everyone i was supposed to go to gran canaria on 27/6/20. And cancelled by teletext. I know jet 2 refunded for the flights in full and its been held by teletext. I have phoned them on many occassions and asked for arefund and they are using covid 19 as excuses. The law us correct that they have to refund in 14 days. Try chargeback through your banks on debit or credit cards and they will have to pay large fees. These companies are taking bookings and millions of pounds are been paid by customers. No company can hold onto your money and not offer what you have paid for,if they dont offer what you pay for then you always have optitions. Card company, insurance and a last resort, talk to a solictor to start a civil claim. Good luck

If you are due for a refund, don’t even bother contacting Teletext Holidays as I have their official excuse as follows: “There is a delay from the suppliers in cancelling the holiday and refunding the money through to us as there are high volume of transactions involved, ince we get the refund from the suppliers we will contact you”’ My flights have already been cancelled. Teletext Holidays have basically admitted they don’t have the money so I’m going to get it back through my credit card company. It’s up to Teletext Holidays to deal with them. If you “chat” with them, ensure you screen shot the conversation so that you have proof of your consumer rights being denied. Teletext Holidays are acting against the law and they know it. Interestingly, I was asked if I’d consider using them again! Umm! I really would never, ever use them again! I’ve didn’t hours and hours in the phone to customer services who actually cannot help! DO NOT EVER USE THIS BUNCH IF COWBOYS!

Everything went wrong holiday cancelled to Tenerife on 1st may to 5th may due to coronavirus been trying to get a refund ever since I'm an oap and used my savings to pay for the holiday for my grandaughter hen weekend which has now been and i get offered credit notes this is unacceptable as due to illness I'll not be able to travel in the near future I'm not alone in this teletext has been unfair to all their customers holding on to people money I'll never use teletext again I thought they were a really good company but this pandemic has shown their true colours I've now went down chargeback from my bank fraud squad i gave teletext plenty of opportunity to resolve this to no avail I'm in a group with over 1.000 who have been treated in the same manner

These are a complete bunch of cowboys. I have been waiting nearly 80 days for a refund from them, and all I get are automated drivel e mails about a poxy credit note. I tried using the online Resolver to complain to them about my refund, all I got in return were again were automated e Mail tripe about a credit note. The case got escalated after so long and I got a reply saying they would look into the complaint and get back to me in 14 days. That was nearly 28 days ago and still no reply from the Bandits. They stole the money from my account for the payment of the holiday,I did not give them permission to take the funds. This company deserve to go down the toilet forever after the way they have treated me and many others. I RECCOMEND YOU NEVER BOOK WITH TELETEXT OR TRULY HOLIDAYS EVER.

I have booked holidays with Teletext over the past 25 years. I booked and paid for our holiday in January for our holiday at the end of March. Teletext cancelled the booking understandably due to the corona virus. I had several conversations with them where they said I get a refund when they received the monies back from the other parties. I contacted Jet 2 and established that they had refunded Teletext the money. On contacting Teletext again armed with this information, they initially claimed not to have the money then when I quoted the refund reference from Jet 2 they then claimed to have only received a partial payment. I was told I had to accept a credit note and I would be refunded the money at the end of July, I stated I didn't want a credit note just an immediate refund. I then received an email to say my credit voucher was valid for a year and after which I would be refunded any amount not used. Follow up calls and emails were made and I got no further forward. I fortunately paid by Credit Card and contacted my card provider who following a written request from me I got a refund from my credit card and they are taking the case up with Teletext directly. I would advise people not to book through Teletext Holidays and people hoping to get their money back should contact their bank or credit company directly as Teletext are clearly attempting to avoid refunding and pushing people into accepting credit notes (which are worthless if the company goes under even though the holiday is ABTA protected the credit notes aren't

We just got our credit card refunded in full. I tend to think it was because I contacted the top which was the Department of Transport and I received a quick response from the Aviation Directorate Department of Transport giving me a link which was https://www.coronavirus-business-complaint.service.gov.uk/. The reason I think that is because I went direct to the top that I got the refund because it was only a week or so later that I got the refund. As I had been sending teletext/truly travel around 50 emails over the past 12 weeks telling them I only wanted a full cash refund NOT their pathetic voucher or credit note which they had sent and then it was only for the accommodation part as they said they were awaiting easy Jet to refund them. So hope this information maybe of some use to all awaiting Cash refunds. But it may just be that I got our refund because they were actually just working down their list and it wasn’t because of my contacting the government department or my bombardment of emails to them telling them I was going to be contacting companies house about them being criminal by not adhering to the law that they had to refund within 14 days, as I would imagine directors and secretaries should not be allowed to be such when they have broken laws, but at the end of the day I don’t care just why all of a sudden they have paid the refund after all their excuses they gave me I am just very glad I have the refund and I hope all reviewers on this site get their refunds and don’t ever use teletext /truly travel again or any other name they may in the future trade under as before I book any holiday in future I will check out the company name through companies house to see if any of the directors and secretary is the same as teletext/truly travel.

Absolutely disgusted at how they are treating customers including myself. Have only given them 1 star but would have given them zero if possible! I contacted them weeks ago knowing my holiday would be cancelled as the hotel is closed and do not know when they are opening as well as Easyjet not currently flying to the Canaries. I asked in writing several times for a payment extension so I would only pay nearer the time if the holiday were to suddenly go ahead. They refused and took my money (over £2000 for a family holiday.) My flights have now been cancelled and Teletext finally admitted in writing the holiday 30th june was now cancelled. I told them weeks ago, and 2 days ago I would not accept a credit note and would like a cash refund. 2 days ago Pooja in India spent half and hour trying to assure me the best option was the credit note but I insisted on a refund. She told me she was putting in the request and I didn't need to do anything else. Then last night I receive a credit note (less flights at Easyjet haven't refunded them yet- booked a package holiday??!) The note says If I haven't used it by 29th September, I then may apply for a refund!! This is both immoral and illegal!! If they were using the money from new balances payments to refund people they owe, I could understand it but apparently not, people from March are still awaiting refunds! Last night Mehender told me they are following FCO and TTA rules, another lie! So avoid them at all costs. They were a 5 star company when we booked, you only have to read the reviews on here to see how much they have let down their customers their rating is dropping rapidly. Booking ref 773738
