Two weeks ago I went to The Range at Hilsea in Portsmouth. I arrived at 9 10am. There were already quite a few people in the store as usual. I found what I wanted immediately and headed for the tills. On my way I saw a customer just leaving customer services with his purchases. As I have done on previous visits I went to customer services and asked could I pay there and was told in an unpleasant way ‘ There’s a queue there go to the back of it’. I was stunned at the way in which I was spoken to. I looked around a display and sure enough there was a queue. So I joined it. I continued to see others being served at customer services. When I reached the front of the queue I was called over by the shop assistant that had spoken to so shoddily before. I asked her why she had turned me away earlier. She told me that she calls people over from the queue. Which I must say seemed perfectly reasonable. I asked her why she hadn’t told me that and why she spoke to me in such a nasty way. I did not raise my voice swear or become aggressive at any time. She then smacked my purchase down on the counter and snarlingly said to me Find someone else to serve ya. I stepped away and stood for two or three minutes to catch my breath. I was I was upset and needed to compose myself. I asked a passing worker who I could speak to to make a complaint. She came back with a supervisor. I explained what had happened and was told twice s that she’s not usually like that and as if I was a half wit I was told what customer services is for. Dissatisfied and upset I was finally told about Let Us Know and waited for the supervisor to get me one. I joined the queue for the second time and just before leaving I read the leaflet and saw the slot for members name. On my way to the door I saw the supervisor and asked her for the staff members name. She wrote it down for me. It was at this point that the woman I now know to be Jackie left her position at customer service and came to tell the supervisor all about I presume. On seeing me with the supervisor she backed away. I want to make it clear that in the dozens of times I’ve visited your store In Portsmouth and Gosport this is the first bad experience I’ve had.

Don’t buy on line ! Over 2 weeks stil no item arrived and impossible to speak to anyone on help desk!!!

I ordered two standard floor lights online on Monday night and received them by Tuesday lunchtime the very next day. They were very well packed, no dents or scratches and glass shade was very well protected in polystyrene mould. Unlike some reviews i read of damaged goods and nearly put me off buying, but im glad i did buy as they look lovely in my living room and were easy to assemble.

AVOID DON'T BUY ON LiNE !! Had a table delivered it's faulty can't send it back until they send you a email code iv sent two Emails seens Thursday tried phoning nobody picks up I want my money back , I can't believe in this day and age how complicated is just to send something back I've never known anything like it . Next stop trading standards

Customer care at the range is awful, especially if you order an item online. I was charged twice for garden furniture and have contacted them multiple times via telephone and email. On hold for over an hour each time and no response to emails. When I finally did reach someone they told me they'd get back to me with an update but of course they didn't, I emailed and called again and am yet to move any further forward.

Don’t bother appalling customer service!! Been trying to return a parasol and stand for over 2 weeks! It took me 3 days and hours on the phone before I managed to speak to someone, I was sent an email and was told I would hear back to arrange a pickup for my items as they’re from a trusted partner and you can’t return them to the store, even though I paid The Range for the items! I’m returning them because the specifications are wrong on website!! I have had no update or contact for over a week. Tried phoning again but...another 2 hours wasted and no response to my email asking for update. Need I say more!! Never again!!!

Went into the new store in Widnes . I wanted to buy a kitchen bin and had looked on line before my visit. The bin in question was a two compartment one priced at £74.00. There was not one on display but a boxed one one the shelf. I found a young lady assistant and asked if we could see it. She looked at us and said NO . Is that your policy or was she just too lazy to do the job she is being paid for? I find it difficult to get to stores as I am an elderly none driver so have to wait for help.I will just have to wait now until someone can take me out again but where to I am not sure. I have sent a complaint to the range customer service but don’t know if they will contact me. It’s a lovely store with lots of nice things but they will lose customers if they are as unhelpful as this young lady was to me.

Appalling customer service don’t answer nails or calls. They however are excellent at taking your order letting you know it’s on its way but their delivery service is non existent and no one can tell you where your delivery is??? Even failed to get a response from any of the directors.... Next step is trading standards I’m afraid... what a shame as I did consider the range a great place to shop until I used their delivery service

I spent over £100 pounds and £3.75 for delivery to my home and they sent it to croydon store for collections!!! When I rang to inquire why and that intact I need it to be sent to home like I paid for I was told I have to contact another number wich kept cutting off Been on hold for over an hour and when I rang for help at head quarters I was brushed off and told I just have to wait for some one to answer my call or get back to me!!! Never using this company again!!! And certainly will not be recommended them either!!!

Having a delivery problem expected delivery 11th March due to system issues the order was put on hold, the order was only released after I phoned to chase delivery and visited the store. I have now taken another day off work waiting for delivery still nothing been on hold for over an hour. I do not rate this company on delivery or customer service. They do not even give you a AM or PM for delivery . Do not believe what they tell you. If I do not receive my order as promised today it will be cancelled.

Ordered a 1k garden furniture set from the cannock store given receipt with highlighted delivery date of 17th March! No delivery came. Called the store to be told by a rude and dismissive customer service representative l.. 'oh yeah they are delayed by like 3-4 days but ups nothing to do with us its the courier!' No pology no communication and no ownership! Call customer services to be promised they will chase and email within 5 days to confirm new date and we receive nothing! Call again to be told its at the docks and will be with us within 10 days. 7th April delivery arrives i open the boxes to find 2 tables and no sofas! Livid! Still on hold after 40 mins waiting for a resolution. Do not shop with this company service is shocking!

Just buy what You can see! Ordered dining table online. Wait for it 3 weeks ( a week later from estimate date). Table came and it was a display table from the shop!! Every part of it was chipped, scratched, marked, such a poor manufacturing!! Chairs wobbly. Tried contact customer service no answer after hr on the phone. Send email.. Got reply after days, in the meantime went to shop.. Told me to bring table over, got replaced same day on my costs.. With already have extra costs for assembly the table. The "New table" is in the same condition as the first one!!!! On the email only got reply " is the table assembled?" and thats it!!! AVOID!!

Absolutely appalling service, never will I shop here again!!!!!!! they have taken over £1000 of my money with a confirmed delivery date ( in writing!) we’ve taken the day off for the delivery, been passed from one person to another fobbed off and lied to!!!! Been told now delivery could be May, but they can’t guarantee it!!! I’ve sold all of my garden furniture ready for today’s delivery, absolutely fuming, judging by the reviews this is common practice, how is this allowed??? I will certainly be taking this further!

Worse customer service I’ve ever had (I know a lot of people say this, but this is genuine). They seem to think that if they use a third party supplier, they no longer have a legal responsibility to you. They are also that lazy, some idiot sent me an email to confirm our conversation and tried to put it all in the subject field, missing most of the details off. This was after trying to get through to them a total of 2 hours. Would not use again.

I placed an order with the Range online ,got no confirmation email for order, got in to help line and they said there was no active order on the system. After 4days I got an email saying the order would be delivered on 31 March on the same day I got another email from DPD to say my order would be delivered on 29 March which it did . It seems to me that they don't communicate with each other.

Orderd bike for my grandaughter and was told it would be 3-6 days well its been 2 weeks now !!! Sent 4 emails and no reply . Tried to ring but was played music too !! This company is a joke !

Why is it impossible to get a response from this company? I received damaged goods and as instructed "you must contact us to arrange an authorized return". Fair enough. Have tried on several occasions to get to speak to someone. Sent an email ( with photos of damaged items" and FULLY explained the situation. Got am email back asking "what is the issue ". I replied. Still nothing . 3 very long waits on the phone (last one was 55 minutes and because, like most people, have other things to be getting on with. What to do now? I only want replacement, not a refund. Maybe it's contact consumers advise/this morning show or similar??? Any suggestions would be welcome. Feel better for venting

Mary Quinn , ( I think from furniture) was on the customer service desk when l visited the range in Renfrew last week. She was so helpful, kind and very professional in helping me. I was looking for a certain type of wall paper which the range in glasgow told me it was discontinued. Mary went away out of her way and found it was still active but not in stock. She said she would phone me as soon as it came in , which she did three days later . I so appreciated the service she gave me in such a lovely manner . She must be an asset to your company . Too many people write to complain these days so I thought I would write something positive, I also found other members of staff helpful. I come from the other side of the city and the range in Glasgow would normally be where I go . That’s Where I was told paper was discontinued,, So I will think twice which range to shop in these days Note: I handed in a thank you card and as I have Alzheimer’s I called her Margaret) lol
