I strongly advise against using Trip.com for any travel bookings. My experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare. They are deceitful and untrustworthy, taking your money without delivering on their promises. Due to medical reasons, I was unable to travel. Trip.com deliberately misadvised me on the situation. They asked me to collect a number of documents about my condition, which I did and uploaded everything they asked for. Only then was I told there was nothing they could do and that I needed to take it up with the airline directly. I attempted to do just that, but the airline’s policy is that if I booked through an agency, I would have to resolve it with the agency. Trip.com knew this but still tried to pass responsibility on to the airline. Moreover, they advertised extra luggage allowance for an extortionate price only to keep the money for themselves. When trying to board the plane, I found out that the fee was not paid and had to pay again. When I confronted Trip.com about this, all they said was that they were waiting on a decision from the airline. The problem was not with the airline; it was with Trip.com trying to keep the money for themselves. This obviously infuriated me to the point I was almost denied access to fly home. Their customer service is a joke, consistently dodging and hiding instead of addressing the problem. They rely on convoluted policy wording to escape their responsibilities, leaving customers frustrated and out of pocket. Trip.com operates like criminals, refusing to provide refunds or assistance when they clearly fail to deliver the services you paid for. Save yourself the headache and book with a more reliable and honest travel agency. Trip.com is not worth the risk.

Fraudulent company. Will not pay refunds and will continuously lie about the process. I would give it a 0/5 if I could

⭐ 0/5 I had an absolutely dreadful experience with Trip.com, and I strongly advise everyone to steer clear of this company. Here’s a detailed account of my ordeal: I booked a flight through Trip.com, which was scheduled for Thursday, June 27th, at 4:30 PM. The flight was delayed to 7:15 PM, and I received an email from Trip.com instructing me to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before departure. Following their instructions, I arrived at 5:15 PM, only to find the check-in counter closed. This was confirmed by the photographic evidence I obtained, showing the counter closed at 5:00 PM, 2 hours and 15 minutes before the flight. Despite my best efforts, including spending four hours on the phone with both Royal Jordanian and Trip.com, I received no help. Over the next three days, I made countless calls, often late into the night, trying to resolve the issue. I ended up having to book a new flight out of pocket, which further drained my resources as I borrowed money from friends and family to cover basic necessities. I presented all the necessary evidence to Trip.com, only to have them fabricate excuses and outright lie about the check-in times, shifting blame to the airline. Their customer service was abysmal, with representatives like Darren and Martha refusing to take responsibility, despite their initial instructions leading to my missed flight. Trip.com’s response was to offer a measly 5000 Trip Coins as "emotional compensation," which is an insult given the financial and psychological toll this experience has taken on me. They ignored my evidence, dismissed my claims, and failed to provide a satisfactory resolution. They even had the audacity to claim that the airline's check-in system was outdated, a flimsy excuse to cover their negligence. In short, Trip.com’s lack of accountability, dishonesty, and appalling customer service has caused me immense stress, financial loss, and a significant disruption to my personal and professional life. They are unreliable, untrustworthy, and have no regard for their customers. I will be taking legal action and ensuring that everyone knows about my experience with this disgraceful company. Avoid Trip.com at all costs – they do not deserve your business. Ghassan Solh

I had to change flights and twice you gave me that 1 hour time frame sending it to me in the morning am around 4am when I was sleeping, twice !! Which meant I couldn’t confirm my flight and now my 3rd request was full up so I’ve now had to spend £469 extra to pass this stupid system which is hard to comply with and I will get a £123 refund atleast, I want to receive additional refund costs to my extra paid tickets, I will never use trip.com never again very stressful experience I had stress daily for the past 5 days nervous I’ll miss the 1 hour time frame. I hope my case can be looked at and give me compensation?? So sad feel like crying

Please avoid trip.com Hi everyone, I hope you're all well. I wanted to share a cautionary tale from my recent experience. My biggest mistake in life has been choosing Trip.com for flight booking. I would strongly advise all my friends and family to avoid using Trip.com. It turned out to be a complete waste of both money and time. Please be wary when booking your flights and look for more reliable options. Your travel plans deserve better. Take care

I booked flights from Sri Lanka to Manchester UK. I was informed my flights get delayed from Abu dhabi to Manchester. So I cancelled the flights. Initially they agreed for full refund and then refused pay back. Not recommend trip.com to anyone.

Trip.com seems like scam - Please stay away. My experience with them have been horrible in the past 5 days. They have unfair taken the decision not to give be back my despite the issue is from their system error. I am writing to express my frustration and seek urgent assistance regarding a flight booking issue that has resulted in an unfair request for cancellation and rebooking without a refund. On 22nd July 2024, I booked a flight from Manchester to Cotonou through Trip.com, with Air France as the carrier. During the booking process, I encountered an issue on the Trip.com website, which did not allow for two names to be entered as a surname. As a result, I could not accurately enter my name as it appears on my passport. Upon realizing the discrepancy, I immediately contacted both Trip.com and Air France on 22/07/2024 to request a name modification. However, I was informed on the 27/07/2024 that neither company could modify the name, and I was advised to cancel the booking and rebook, resulting in a loss of £1,168.42 and requiring an additional payment for a new ticket. I believe this situation is unfair and unjust, as the issue arose due to a limitation on the Trip.com website. I believe that a solution can be found without incurring additional costs. I kindly request the following: 1. Assistance in modifying the name on my existing booking to reflect my correct name as per my passport. 2. Alternatively, a full refund of £1,168. 42 if the modification is not possible, allowing me to rebook without financial loss.

I'm having the worst experience ever with a trip. They refuse to change the flight even tho it is for a medical emergency, and I have already contacted KLM and they said that they only need the agency to request the change on my behalf, and they will provide a voucher.... but Trip.com refuses to do it. If I try to change the flights, they charge me the same price as new tickets.. when at KLM the cost is 200 dollars to change them. Horrible experience

Paid for airport lounge access on what happened to be the 2nd day of the school holidays. Apparently, if you book lounge access via Trip.com? You are really buying standby access, meaning the lounge lets you in ONLY if they are not fully booked. If that had been made clear to me, I would have just booked it directly at the airport site.

Due to Microsoft outage, many flights were cancelled. I had a hotel booked through trip.com, since they were only a 3rd party, I contacted Hilton directly. Hilton was willing to offer alternative options, but due to trip.com providing false information, email and phone number, Hilton was unable to assist further. Contacting trip.com has been useless, they refuse to update my contact so I can work directly with Hilton, and are unwilling to provide any assistance other than keep their minimal fee for my booking. The SOL approach is enough to say book directly with hotels

I want to share my experience with Trip.com regarding their customer service. I strongly advise against using Trip.com solely to save a few bucks. Here's why: 1. It's extremely challenging to get in touch with their customer service. 2. The staff is unhelpful. 3. They do not resolve customer issues. 4. Emails go unanswered. 5. If you need assistance, they demand payment. 6. Every query is met with a response citing "airlines policy." Using Trip.com results in a waste of money, time, and even impacts your well-being

I requested Trip.com to change my flights. I was told it would take 6 hours but it’s been 4 days now, and nothing has been done about it. Whenever I call them, I’m being told the same thing, they are waiting for the airline to confirm the flights and fees, even though I was able to speak to the airline representative and she confirmed that if I purchased the ticket with them the changes would have made immediately. There shouldn’t be reason for a 4 day delay. IT MAY BE CHEAPER TO GO WITH THIS COMPANY BUT DONT. They are truly duplicitous and I will never use them again. They are the worst.

I used Trip.com to book a flight at short notice. Regret it. I have been overseas for over a month. Outraged to see I have charged c. £60 for “membership” whilst I am still away. Feels like a scam. AVOID
