The most useless shop ever, Staff is not trained and have no clue of what they are selling. The most common answer you would probably get from them is : "I don't know..." It looks like most of them are employed to restock the aisle.. I decided to go to B&Q and ask the same question to a member of the staff and the difference is definitely there.. What a shame

Absolutely the worst level of service I've seen ever. Taking over 3 days to reply to cancellation emails (4 emails). Reply only after the product was out for delivery with pathetic excuses and replying afterwards within minutes, but your 1.3 stars out of 5 is not by mistake. Well done!

Spent £330 on decking which had to be delivered. Given delivery date, nothing arrived. Managed to find out by delivery company it was accidentally left off the lorry? Since then, I have been constantly telephoning Wickes to find out about my delivery and when it will arrive. Not one customer service team member has been helpful. One promised to call me back but no call. I still do not have my delivery and getting a bit frustrated with dealing with unhelpful Wickes customer service! I am wondering if I will ever get this order as I can't even get an answer from the delivery company now. Very very poor experience.

What went wrong? Hmmmmm all of it, front start to finish. I'm actually amazed at how wrong it all went. You would think it impossible to be that rubbish. Spoke to about 10 different people over 18 months of multiple issues and as a company, it's like pulling teeth. Do not use. Unless you enjoy disappointment

So we bought our kitchen in 2011 in Dudley, West Midlands from a coworker, Pedra. We have been going to the store constantly as our worktop which is the magna range has rotten due to moisture from the dishwasher. As a metal strip was not provided for our dishwasher which we didn't know of at that time. The coworkers in wickes kept taking our details down and said someone will get in contact with you or they will let Pedra know but yet again we did not hear from anyone which is absolutely appalling. This happened numerous of times within the guarantee. Then we got in touch with wickes customer services who requested photos of the rotten worktop. I did not hear from him either and his name was Daryl Hesketh. I kept emailing for a response to Daryl but again got ignored. Which is no surprise. Plus they do not write notes on their systems so we have to keep on repeating ourselves. Everyone we go to we keep going to we are getting ignored which is very time-wasting and frustrating. DO NOT BUY A KITCHEN FROM WICKES... Another customer service guy said once the kitchens are bought they don't care. Yes, This was his exact words which is 100% correct. I was shock he even said this but he is completely correct they just don't care. We went to the wickes store a couple of times again and the last time we went we were pointed by a wickes manager to a kitchen coworker named, John from Dudley wickes store. He first said he did not know we came in previously and then he says yes i have received and email from customer services about the worktop issue. I then said why did you not contact us then. ( he swearved the question ) so obviously he does remember us but they are being totally ignorant. John then claimed alot of customers had this issue back in the day when we bought our kitchen claiming that the metal worktop barrier to prevent moisture, was not a thing which i think again he was lying. He then said he will speak to an installer and ask for a special tape instead of a metal bar which he thinks is better for some reason. We have still not heard anything from him from that day l once again. The worktop guarantee has ended due to the fact of being ignored constantly, which for a well known company you would expect higher attention and resolving quickly. But they do not care at all. Absolutely very disappointed in the total experience and services from all aspects.

Bought a new kitchen with building works required and fully managed project. The project manager was not assigned. The kitchen is not installed fully, it is not straight, holes were left in walls and ceilings. It’s been nearly 2 years and the online complaints process is slow, inefficient and biased. Don’t ever buy a kitchen service from them

Doesn’t deserve one star. Received text on delivery day to say dispatch issues and delivery would be the next day. No delivery and no communication. Could not track. Waited more than 30 minutes to be told to ring again the next day. Next day, another phone call. Promised a call back which did not materialise. Tried chat line which was unhelpful. Eventually after a third phone call wastold they would reorder but wait time would be long. Cancelled order but now must wait 14 days for money to be refunded. Will not use Wickes again

Ordered kitchen units. All but one unit was to be delivered a week later. The remaining unit was not available for delivery but was available for click and collect locally. Paid on line for the lot. A couple of days later received notification that the click and collect unit had been cancelled and refunded. Contacted Wickes and was told they tried to contact me about it. No missed calls/no voice message/no email!!! Rest of kitchen units pointless without this unit so cancelled order. Told refund in upto 5 days. Meanwhile message from delivery company telling me when my order would be delivered. Phoned delivery company. Wickes had NOT cancelled them- apparently this is common. I advised delivery company not to come. They didn't. Contacted Wickes to chase up refund. Was advised they would also refund proposed delivery charge of £5. Delivery charge refund has been received. Delivery cost refund arranged AFTER the apparent refund for the remainder of the units. I have STILL not received somewhere in region of £1,169!!! WHERE IS MY REFUND?????

After 2 months the work surface edging has started to lift so water is now getting in apparently this is our fault . The other issues we had where eventually done but always with the impression that it was our fault. Like we put to much in the wall cupboard that’s why it fell of the wall not the way it was put up. As they also changed the work surface after the cabinets fell of the wall Wickes probably think this is down to them

Worst "service" I have ever experienced. Received a text to say goods would be delivered. Needless to say they never turned up although the tracking status the next day showed as order complete. Asked customer service for help. Was fobbed off with the matter being "under investigation" and someone would phone me. Of course no-one did. Tried their virtual customer service and saw I was number 32 in the queue - probably behind loads of other people trying to get their goods. Still battling to get an answer. Really deserves no stars. People, go elsewhere unless you enjoy hassle and paying for items you are not going to receive.

Awful service from Wickes, paid more to be delivered on Saturday, I've had no reply or information from the delivery company or Wickes. I was told by a customer service agent on the live chat, I would receive a phone call regarding where my product is, I've have had no reply whatsoever. The live chat system is constantly down, other than for customers looking to purchase a new bathroom or kitchen. Unable to get through to customer service to cancel my order and ask for a refund due to hour long wait times. Poor service and trading standards, will definitely not be using Wickes in future again, I recommend you avoid them.

Awful Customer Service> Have emailed their MD and their customer services manager and asked them to call me re: a Forest Shed, ( I have seen better Orange box wood!) Delivered with splits, missed nails, I have requested a refund. I wouldn't give them an an F grade in GCSE Woodwork, it is not carpentry it is absolute butchery, and a credit to the person that put the frames together. I cannot believe that an employee could knowing produce such utter rubbish and think that customers are stupid enough to accept it! Customer service are absolutely ineffective, have the responsibility but no authority. I cannot believe that a perceived quality company such as Wickes could be party to delivering such utter rubbish and then fail to get back to their customers. Some Quality Assurance training and some instruction on how to answer telephones properly might be advantageous, If you cannot even manage the subcontracted erection of a garden shed, no wonder you have so many 1 star reviews. I would waste my time an money dealing with these cowboys

From now on I will be staying well clear of Wickes. Bought quite a lot form them in the past It was of reasonable quality and price. The customer service, especially on the phone was always very helpful and friendly. I purchased a mitre saw in November 2020 with a 2 year guarantee and after very little use, 3 months later, a part broke. It was not the most expensive saw in the world but Wickes made a big issue of it being guaranteed for 2 years When I contacted Wickes I was informed that this item was discontinued and it was up to me to get in touch with manufacturer and find out if the guarantee applies. I am perfectly well aware that even though the item say Wickes on it and the accompanying manual only has “Wickes” on it, that item was manufactured by a third party manufacturer. I would have thought that 3 months into a 2 year guarantee I would be told “Oh we are sorry to hear that. Take the part to you nearest store and we will arrange a refund or replacement.”. What I got instead was. “That item is now discontinued and you will need to contact the manufacturer to arrange a replacement or refund”. I asked how I could go online to look up the replacement part and how to purchase the broken part myself. Wickes could not even do this with a product with their name on it. I now understand why there is no parts list in the manual provided The young lady at customer services was very helpful and went to some effort to solve the issue but at the end of the day all she could give me was as an e-mail address of a manufacturer in China. There was a lot of we are “very sorry for the inconvenience” I sent an e-mail the address provided a received no response whatsoever. I also filled an on line help form and have never received any response, I called Wickes again and very helpful person gave me a telephone number to contact . I tried this to find out it was only and extension with an answering machine that did not even say which company it was. I left y details. But no response. I then found a number on the back of the manual for help concerning the tool. When I selected the option for warranty claims a recorded message told me to contact the retailer. I tried the option for spares and was informed that I could not even purchase spares and Wickes we responsible for the warranty. I called Wickes yet again and after explaining my story and waiting for the customer service representative to “talk to his manager” I was told the problem would be resolved and he would get back to me in two days. I am now left with a 3 month old broken mitre saw which was guaranteed for 2 years awaiting a response from a manufacturer. No response I have given up. I may write a letter to the complaints Dept but suspect it is a waste of time I could investigate a legal route but I suspect Wickes know that this is too much hassle for ordinary people. I am now left with 3 month old it guaranteed for 2 years that I cannot even buy a spare part for. After hours of phone calls and messages Wickes still have not responded. It seems company policy to pass responsibility for guarantees to equipment manufacturer. Then just fob you off when you keep going back So all I can advise is only buy simple items that do come with a guarantee and stay well clear of any Wickes branded products. We even considered Wickes to supply and fit our new kitchen. Dodged a bullet there !!!

I've tried to order a small amount of timber and plywood online today for click and collect. The first item was a piece of ply 3.6mm x 606mm x 1220mm. My guess is that this item would weigh 1 kilo (ish) i.e., a bag of sugar! The item is not available for click and collect as it's " a two man lift"!!! So I tried to phone to see if I can just call in and pick up. Waited on the phone for about ten minutes. Not too keen on travlling a sixty mile round trip to be told "no". Has the world gone mad?

I've been trying to place an order for weeks but it just says that no delivery slots available. I sent a message about it. No reply. Tried the chat but it didn't work properly. I guess they don't want business. Hopeless.

Don't buy a kitchen or appliances with them. Range cooker cost £1200 less than two years old. Faulty top, engineer from Leisure cookers came out said not faulty wear and tear. Emailed Wickes 3 times no help at all just refer back to manufacturer. Explained they have a duty to their customers and surely would want to know about the standard of products they are selling but got fobbed off.

on the 22nd February I ordered a 210l Water Butt at my local store in Nottingham and as it would not fit in my car I paid them the £7.95 for home delivery. The item was delivered on the 24th. It was swathed in plastic film and the delivery driver could not get away quickly enough so it was only later as I unwrapped the item that I found it had received a couple of bumps or bangs and the item had two quite sizeable dents in it. I tried telephoning Wickes but not one answered. I needed to get the butt installed so gently tapped out the dents. This improved the appearance but the dents are still present although smaller. Next day Wickes sent me the normal feed back request that everyone asks for t theses days and so I told them. In fact I came up with a fix for the problem. I had not purchased damaged goods at a discounted price but I said I would accept this item for which I paid £40.00 plus the delivery charge of £7.95 if they were to refund me the delivery charge. It sounded reasonable to me and it would save them a second delivery charge for collecting the faulty item and providing me with an undamaged item. I received a very curt response from their customer do not care team saying they could not do this. Further more I can not get anyone to answer the phone. It seems this is a normal poor quality service I should have expected from Wickes. I shall not buy any goods from them again. I wonder if my card provider can do a charge back?

Don't use Wickes! Terrible customer service. Tried to return goods two weeks after the 30 day return period was up - unable to return previously as had been ill and queues due to Cv-19. No budging on their part and met with very officious attitude in store. Tried to complain and they really just didn't want to know. Don't bother writing to Customer Relations either as they are just as bad as Customer Services. Will never set foot in another Wickes store and would advise that you also don't! Jeff Venus, Cardiff
