Lying Wickes Installation Manager!! I have posted several critical but very truthful reviews on here about our disastrous kitchen installation! Wickes have removed the reviews! They don't want people reading about their Fraudulent and Incompetent kitchen fitters. Or their Booze smelling Installation Manager who Threatened me and accused me of assaulting, yes "ASSAULTING" the Wickes electrician!!! He then told someone he lied, but didn't make any apology!!! He is renowned for for bullying and threatening customers who complain!!! But Wickes's CEO didn't want to know!!! What a company!!! Let alone Wickes Customer Services!!! They also seem to employ Incompetent Liars!! I shall be naming the individuals shortly unless Wickes sort out the issues. So no doubt this review will be read by the lucky few.... before they have it removed!! Perhaps the new CEO, David Wood, would benefit from knowing as well. I would imagine Customer Services' report to him is full of glowing lies!! Read the other critical reviews on here!!! Make your own mind up!

Ordered oven on click and collect Ordered oven on click and collect. Soon text message, your order is ready for collection. On arrival shopping assistant says they don't have it in stock and he will arrange delivery to our home for the next day. Next day delivery. Oven damaged, all bent around, like someone dropped it. An hour waiting on the line for customer service. They arranged replacement for the next day. Next day noone arrived. Now 5 days since purchase, left with broken oven, waiting already 50 min for anybody from customer service to answer my phone call. What a waste of time. Never again shopping at Wickes

********Wickes Have Abandoned Us Mid-Installation******* We chose Wickes for a bathroom installation as we thought they'd be a professional and trustworthy company to deal with. We couldn't have been more wrong. They have abandoned the job and left us with nothing but an empty shell of a bathroom - no bathing facility, no wash basin and worst of all - no functioning toilet. The builders broke the toilet and have left us in a lurch and Wickes have washed their hands of the job and have walked out on us. There isn't even a door left on the bathroom, we've had to put up a bedsheet up in the doorway! This all started after we made a complaint about the builders being unprofessional and inconsiderate. It was escalated to the store manager and the installations manager. We thought they'd be able to come to a resolution, especially given the fact that the only toilet in the house is now out of use. But all they did was come to the house, take pictures of the bathroom, collect the tools and walked out, refusing to do anything more for us. I am in utter shock that a well known company like Wickes would treat a paying customer so badly. Since yesterday we've had to keep dashing to the local Morrison's to use the toilets there and are awaiting an emergency plumber to come install the new toilet. I am shocked and appalled by Wickes and want to warn potential customers to think twice before trusting them with any work.

A seven-month nightmare! If you are thinking of buying a Wickes kitchen – don’t. The reality is far removed from the slick adverts that promise excellent design and professional installation. Our problems started on the day the kitchen was supposed to be delivered – it wasn’t. A call to their customer service centre revealed that not only was the kitchen not scheduled to be delivered that day, a Friday, but Wickes were unaware that their own installers were due to start on the Monday. The timetable then spun out of control. Fitters for the granite work surface weren’t booked in on time with a result that the tiler’s slot was lost, and we were faced with the possibility of having to wait three months for the kitchen to be finished. Fitters didn’t communicate with installers or the Wickes installation manager. There was no evidence of any project management and the installation manager would only communicate by email. Numerous emails and complaints resulted in a marginal acceleration of the project, but we were effectively without a kitchen for a month. That, however, was only the start of the problems. The fitting was dreadful – panels were fitted at weird angles and large gaps were left between the wall and the units. Worse was yet to come. When the dishwasher didn’t work properly (because it had been incorrectly installed), the service engineer pointed out that most of the appliances were unsafe because they had not been given proper ventilation. This was a fundamental design flaw. Indeed, the service engineer told us not to use the cooker hood at all. Wickes were not interested. It took them another four months to cobble together some ventilation for the fridge and cooker, compromising a cupboard and wine rack in the process. We had no choice but to have the cooker hood taken out altogether. We opted for interest free credit which was provided by Hitachi. At the end of the first month of the project, I called Hitachi to advise them that I was unhappy with the kitchen and to ask in what circumstances Wickes could draw the money from them. They assured me that no drawdown was possible without my agreement. I have a recording of the call. Before the remedial work was completed, Hitachi broke their promise and paid Wickes. We took legal advice, but apparently kitchen contracts are notoriously difficult to take to court unless there are specific provisions for time and quality penalties. Added to that any case might expose us to costs if we weren’t successful. The solicitor who advised us had handled a number of kitchen claims. He pointed out that kitchen companies are quick to lawyer up and costs can be substantial. In the end we accepted a derisory offer from Wickes to settle the matter. Even then Wickes spun it out by paying by cheque and stating it would take three weeks for payment to be received. The experience has been an utterly dreadful one. We will never use Wickes or Hitachi again and if you are thinking of having a new kitchen, I would strongly advise you to avoid them at all costs.

Everything, from poor design fitting, poor delivery, 3 bookings for templating that did not happen, 3 attempts for fitting work surfaces, and then they were wrong. Customer services are a nightmare and a premium phone number, cut off over 5 times. Complaints department don’t care even when escalated to a manager who has not responded after 4 weeks. Speaksfor itself . Very dissatisfied

The poor handless kitchen range requires numerous hours of alterations to actually make the STANDARD carcus (both wall and base) work with the 'WICKES' handless system. The units are standard normal units which have to be routered out individually and also require the tall / full height unit sides to be cut down 22mm in WIDTH and re edged prior to even initially assembling the kitchen. If I was made aware of the level of work involved I would never have bought from Wickes. These kitchens are not cheaper than other manufacturers but the quality is far less. The base units are flimsy and have no rear lateral support, whilst this isn't a major issue with the base units, it becomes an issue with tall larder units, which are unstable even when correctly assembled. The deliveries have also missed items outstanding which cause delays in installation. I would compare the Wickes kitchens as no better than a FLAT PACK from B&Q but with a slightly thick back panel. Do yourself a favour and DON'T GET a handless kitchen from Wickes. Wickes are a typical large company that has zero interest in the customer once it has your money, the kitchen sales representative hides behind company policy instead of helping with genuine issues. Shame as the wickes shopping experience has tainted the new kitchen buzz, won't be using them again for anything.

Would strongly advise not use Wickes for anything being delivered. Delivery for new internal doors came today, and waited just under five hours for the delivery. One door came badly damaged and delivery driver refused to take it. Wickes said they will replace the door, but will not accept any responsibility nor give any compensation or sort of refund, and I will have to wait in another ten hours for the replacement door to be delivered. No apology or acceptance of their mistake.

As many others have said appalling customer service and treatment from Wickes staff. 6 weeks on and still not finished, once they have your money you don’t have a leg to stand on. We were not informed when items out of stock, delayed delivery which then held everything up absolutely atrocious service. If you want a kitchen do yourself a huge favour and look else where. Wickes don’t do everything for you and they must certainly DO NOT DO IT RIGHT!!

Sheffield, The Moor. The worst experience of my life! Not all items were delivered, the amount of phone calls, emails sent to get these items delivered. A 10 day bathroom refit has gone into a 4th week. Incompetent, disrespectful, liar of an installer. I would not recommend Wickes to my worst enemy. AVOID!!

Read the T & C's before making any purchase from Wickes. I paid by debit card for a storage shed with the agreement that I would receive it delivered next day. The following morning I received a text to say sorry but it would be delivered the following day!!! So, rang the tel number as I was not available next day. Constantly engaged for over an hour. Then I rang customer services at Wickes. Constantly engaged. Then tried ringing the depot I purchased from. Hurrah! Spoke to a lady who wasn't sure whether I could cancel my order to pick up (as it turned out it was too big to fit in my car) or to get my money back which had already debited my account. So, she told me she would contact customer support and ring me back in 10 mins. An hour later still no call. I decided to get in my car and go to the store to ask for a refund in order to purchase same goods from Argos. On arrival the lady who was going to return my call was attending a customer at the till. "It was me you spoke to but sorry I can't get through to customer services". At that point she asked a colleague to take over her till and waited in the answering message queue which took a good 10 mins before discussing what I wanted. The outcome... YOU DON'T GET A REFUND FOR GOODS YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED. EVEN IF ITS WICKES FAULT YOU HAVEN'T RECEIVED THEM. ANY GOODS THAT HAVE LEFT WICKES AND ARE WITH A CARRIER HAVE TO BE CANCELLED BY WICKES AND YOU NEED TO WAIT UNTIL THOSE GOODS ARE RECEIVED BACK INTO WICKES STOCK AT HEAD OFFICE. ONCE THAT HAS HAPPENED THE CUSTOMER WILL BE CONTACTED BY EMAIL AND TOLD TO RETURN TO THE STORE OF PUCHASE TO PRESENT THEIR CARD FOR A REFUND!!!! which is really helpful. I'm now stuck with equipment in the open garden that was meant to be in a storage shed, no money to go elsewhere to purchase the same shed because Wickes have that money and I have probably got to wait at least another week to get that back. If I'm lucky. BUYER BEWARE

Terrible collection service. Having been refused by the store to return 2 vanity units for a refund, I arranged a collection. Taking a day off work and then waiting from 8am till 6pm - no one had turned up by 1.30pm so I checked the collection was taking place. Having been reassured, it still wasnt collected by 6.20pm and then I was told it had been moved to the following day but it would be 7am till 1pm. More time of work and then having to call them at 1.30pm to check why it hadnt been collected again. I was then told it would be collected by 6pm. At 6.50pm I telephoned to see why no collection lorry had turned up and no explanation could be provided. I was then ironically offered the facility of taking it to the store myself, which i wanted to do in the first place. The further insult was that the store couldnt refund me. I would have to wait why they telephoned customer services to see if they 'could' do it. Then out of the blue the next day and without any notice at all, a driver turned up to collect. Fortunately another family member had popped home and answered the door and at last the items were collected. What a pathetic performance from Wickes, I'M STILL HOWEVER WAITING FOR MY £150!

ordered 4 pre-finished doors. - 3 arrived damaged - took till Monday to get an answer. New doors on the way but considering the lack of protection in delivery pretty sure these will turn up damaged. The doors arrived with no edge protection and just a thin wrap of plastic - I would not order pre-finished doors from them again.

Bought a small shed for a client as a care worker. It came with a damaged side panel, it then took another week for that to be replaced, then that side panel was damaged, it then took another week to replace. We had paid for assemble service, this was delayed obviously but the communication between wickes customer services and Servico is none exsistant. I informed wickes at least 4 /5 times to only ring the main line number given for directions for drivers or on assembly and not my mobile in my error have them as I don't live at the property being a care worker. This was reassured each time I spoke to someone and then ignored as I received nothing but phone calls or texts to my mobile. The assembly company Servico came one day and wickes were telling me another day. Just no communication and poor customer service, no way should purchasing a shed to getting it put up take a month. Very disappointed in the service of wickes and quality of item. Would not recommended for assembly service and be wary of quality.

If you are considering selecting Wickes for your brand new kitchen, I would strongly advise against it. We made a huge mistake in ordering our kitchen from Wickes for our brand new kitchen extension and having it installed using there professional installation service. Prior to our installation starting, we had an agreement with the installer to start installation on 7th June, and working on the weekends to complete the installation. However on the first day of the installation, the fitter cancelled on us and was only available to work on one of the days even though we had agreed that the fitter would work 3 consecutive days. The fitter didn't have any professional tools and at times using our oven to cut panels, when he finished each day, there was dust everywhere in the house and we had to vacuum the room multiple times. We have had to deal with incompetent fitter and had to wait for months for our kitchen installation to be completed. The worst part is the customer service is as bad as the fitter where it takes them more than 3 weeks to reply to your emails and issues. Our Kitchen installation started in June 2019 and it is still not completed. We had remedial works completed and deliveries every week because they kept ordering the wrong items each week. We thought we were going to get a professional installation service as showroom installation but this is not correct. One of the sticking point during our installation was that the installer was incompetent and used the wrong panel to start our installation, he was supposed to use a filler piece which is 25mm to start the installation however he used an 18mm back panel and stuck tape on the front side. Contacted customer service and installation manager about the issues, I was told explicitly that there will be a lot of work required to complete the remedial work and offered me £70, which is bit of insult considering the amount of money I paid for a professional installation. I paid for this service so that I do not have issues such as this. The customer service told me that the remedial works has been carried out and that means that contract has been agreed. There are still a lot of remedial work that need to be addressed. If you want a brand new kitchen and want to get your money's worth I would STRONGLY recommend not buying it from WICKES or going for there professional installation service, because you will receive service like any other installer and there is nothing professional about the service.

Bought some items from Wickes online. It has been been 8 days now. Called 4 times and filled online enquiry form, sent emails. Every time earlier they would say - we will email supplier and will get back to you. Taken money out of my credit card. Today they saying that it is out of stock and refund will take upto 14 days. Wasted my 3-4 hours on all this. no one bothered to call back. Using my £4000 for 14 days. How can you treat a customer like this? Why allow buyer to buy online if it is out of stock, why take money out? why no response or email in last 4 days? **VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE**
