I am disappointed on 3 things - 1) i could not obtain nectar points with my purchase as I have since found out your click and collect on YOUR website does not allow one to obtain nectar points, only if you buy through the nectar website- it is disgusting and I feel cheated. 2. ) I could have purchased the item £10 cheaper at Currys but I always look to Argos when buying an item of value and this time I am absolutely dissatisfied that your price was NOT competitive. I will not be looking to you first in future as I now don't trust your pricing. 3.) Every time I buy a big item from you - magically 2 days later I get a voucher in the post to spend more money. I feel cheated again as rather than at random intervals you automatically send your Argos card customers a voucher to spend to show you actually value your customers, it is only when i have spend a large amount I get a voucher through the post and to add insult to injury - it has a short expiry date. POOR Practise.

I've been waiting 17 days for my refund on an item!!! I was told 5 to 7 days depending on my bank...rubbish, my bank has always processed any refund I've had within 72hrs, Argos are to blame! Going to have to phone them for a 3rd time and get told 5 to 7 days again no doubt! I will never buy from Argos again...I'd rather pay more for an item than use them again with all the messing about I've had to do...to get my OWN money back!! Grrrr....

Ordered a divan bed, chose my slot time as we planned on going out, and had a delivery over and hour earlier than expected, had to rush back so we didn't miss it. The mattress broke within first week, spring popped through cutting my arm. Explained to Argos but they didn't seem to fusses

Placed order for home delivery. Case for holiday and birthday gift for my young daughter. Ordered in plenty of time and due to work decided home delivery was the better option for me. Delivery day they said arrived and no order. Called to ask where it was told still in delivery company depot. They would re order it and get it next day and to expect email confirning this. Have waited 7 hours to get email and nothing. Call them back and ask what is going on to be told cant get it to me on time for daughters birthday. Going to have a very upset little girl. Rubbish attitude on the phone I do apologise, yeah that still doesn't get my order to me on time. I hope I see refund of my delivery costs.

sales misrepresenting and flawed IT system when transacting with their e-gift cards/vouchers. Recently I have been looking for a new Dyson v8 cordless vacuum cleaner on google and the results prompted Argos that offered the cheapest (£50 less than its peers like Curry’s). In Argos website the item was listed as Limited Stock but was available to be picked up from my preferred store the following day. I proceeded to do pay and collect with my e-gift card. Instead of a webpage that should have shown my transaction ID, it said the transaction would be on hold as the item may not be in stock. It also stated that my card would not be charged. After waiting 3 working days without any further updates from Argos, i decided to call their CS and all they said was the item had been no longer in stock despite their webpage still advertised the item was available (for both instore collection and delivery). CS could not even figure out from their end if they have any stock left nationwide. To my surprise my e-gift card had been charged in full. It took me another 30min to have the CS to log my claim and I did not get my full balance back after 48hrs. CS assured me that it was just an one off technical error. I made the same order the following week as it appeared to be stock again. The same technical issue arose (the balance was taken off from my egift card and item was not on stock) and I went through the pain again to phone up their CS. Right until now I have not received my refund despite CS promised the refund in the next 24 hours since I logged the claim.

Absolute joke service. Ordered a fridge over a month ago and it still hasn't arrived. I've called Argos five times and they've been entirely useless and have even hung up on me once. An absolute joke of a company who like to blame the delivery company that works for them. Almost laughable if I wasn't already in tears!

Argos did NOT make me happy. I bought a Bosch grass strimmer in March. I now need replacement cutting Cord and find Argus do not sell this. I contacted customer service and was told " ring Bosch"..not very helpful. I will stick to the garden centre in future. Argos sell printers and inks why not strimmers and cutting cords??

I’ve given those number of stars for their delivery service, in-store service and quickly rectifying an issue with a product bought from them. They lost two stars from me because of the appalling service I got from their Argos card team! My card expired some time last year which I should have received a month or two before the expiry. This didn’t happen for a while so I called them up in October last year to find-out where my card was and updated my address as I moved the month of it’s expiry. Only to speak to their team today to find-out they closed that account without even so much as informing me about doing so! I only requested that the card be blocked so nobody can use it instead the individual closed my account completely!!! How does that even make any sense seriously? I don’t even know how it sounds like the same thing really. The person I spoke to sounded very entitled when they said sorry you’ll have to reapply for another account if you want to use an Argos card!! Anyway, I would leave the three stars just because apart from this issue, I’ve enjoyed shopping at Argos but let me just tell you guys that if you keep pilling up disgruntled customers, you’ll soon have a problem on your hands as PC world et all now do price match making it no longer advantageous to shop with you guys.

I bought a Bush vacuum cleaner in August and the suction stopped working a couple of weeks ago. I called Technical Help at 10am today who diagnosed there was a fault with the machine and transferred me to Customer Services. I expected I would be asked to drop the cleaner into the nearest Argos for repair, but instead was told a new vacuum would be delivered that day. The very friendly delivery man turned up at 2pm with a brand new machine and collected the damaged one. I am so impressed by the Argos team. Fantastic customer Service!

The absolute worst experience I have ever had with trying to make a purchase through a company. Tried to place the order online, it didn't go through properly and I was told by the website that I would have a communication from them within 2 hours. I didn't. On phoning them I was told that I needed an authorisation code from my bank for the debit card payment I had made. Phoned Argos back, and the advisor put the phone down on me. Phoned back again, and was told that I didn't need to provide an authorisation code and that the previous advisor was incorrect. Managed to get the order sorted and believed it was all good. Got a text message from Argos a few hours later confirming this, and called back to sort out compensation for the time wasted earlier in the day (as I was advised to by the last advisor I had spoken to). At this point, to my shock, I found out that the previous advisor had provided completely the wrong postcode, so despite their assurances, the product would not arrive with me the next day. I have cancelled my order, and will be going to a different shop to make the purchase, when Argos finally refund my money.

Ordered Ring doorbell £89.00 online for collection instore. Got there 30 minutes later, cash in hand and was told, sorry the price is £99.00. No, it's £89.00, I could pay online now and collect express. Jess said, we wouldn't let you have it! I phoned customer service who said they should honour the £89.00 price, please hold the line. He then phoned the store, came back to me and said the till won't let them alter the price therefore it's £99.00. I said escalate my complaint please. I also fired off an email when I got home and then promptly ordered on Amazon. No wonder the high street is dying, just another reason to buy everything at Amazon. Customer service at stores like this is appalling. I'm pretty sure that legally a contract has been entered into at the time I got an email saying thanks for your order, please collect instore within 2 days and pay £89.00. I doubt I'll even receive a reply to my email!

My worst experience with Argos I had today . Never experienced such a bad customer service like in this store ( Argos London Colney shopping centre) I had to deal with the store manager Alex. I wanted a refund for an item bought just a day before. I brought back in perfect condition with original packaging and receipt. He refused to refund me and he was very rude with me . In the end went to another store near by and sorted it straight away. Shame to this store manager ( Alex) who wasted me time.

Went into the store at March Cambridge to return a faulty item, I had lost my receipt but the staff could not be more helpful even though I'd gone to the wrong store by mistake they sorted out the numbers I need to contact, which I did and an engineer was arranged the same day to come in a few days time wonderful thanks very much Graham

I purchase a stroller. Which is from birth to 18 months. It’s too tight for my 9months old baby. I took it back exchange. I was refused. The store manager was rude did not even check the item. I contacted their customer service. They couldn’t help because it’s their policy. I had to leave it the store. I got ripped £40. You will definitely pay it elsewhere. RIP off

One star given as zero star is not an option. Purchased a ProAction dishwasher just over 1 year 5 months ago, it completely died mid cycle - clearly an inherent fault at manufacture. If Argos’ budget dishwasher is not expected to last even 1/6 of the average product life expectancy (9 years) this warrants a disclaimer, failure to do so will continue to lure those living on a restricted budget into false economy that cannot be afforded. Pushed from pillar to post by so called 'customer services' - Repeatedly passed to staff in differing teams hence, having to repeat the issue over and over, being placed on hold for up to 20m at a time, being cut-off, disinterested staff (sighing, speaking over me, not listening, snorting at me) and several, obstructive, conflicting information given and out-right lies told. Complaint submitted to Sainsbury's Argos CEO John Rogers who simply passed my complaint back to the 'executive office', had he read my complaint he would know that I was not expecting a response or seeking a resolution - It was a complaint, end of. Executive Office (cough) has merely rubbed salt into an open wound. Have sent further email to John Rogers and copied in his superior Sainsbury's CEO Sainsbury's CEO Mike Coupe. After 30 years of shopping at Argos I am resolute in my decision to boycott. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement, exceptionally poor service from start to finish. Little wonder Sainsbury's is experiencing significant losses.
