“PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY.
I Sent my I phone 11 that was in great condition it was like new. Offered me £169 so I sent it. Just had a message offering me £69. What the hell. I said no so they offered me another £10 again I said no. I said just return the phone in the original box I sent it in. They came back with another offer of £84. I still said no. I kept saying I’ll have it back. They said they couldn’t return in original box as they get recycled straight away. What a load of rubbish. Surely they should wait to see if you want to sell it before dumping the box. What an absolute scam. Wish I’d never bothered. And I’ll be checking my IMEI number when I get it back to see if it’s my phone. I’ll be taking this up with trading standards too”
“Sent my phone which was in great condition not one scratch on the screen,
They received it miraculously has scratches on the front of the phone,
They offered over £140 less than what was estimated.
Seen other reviews with very similar reviews. Con company don’t use”
“AVOID - price knockers and time wasters
Used this company via TopCashback and at the time of offering a trade in price they quoted £651 for “good condition”, however on inspection they knock the price down to £515 stating my phone is in “pretty good” condition and that good condition had to have “no visible signs of wear” - that’s either Excellent or new condition in my opinion. Total joke of a company what a waste of time.”
“Complete scam.
Offered £295 originally for my phone but after an inspection they dropped the offer to £190.
They posted a video of ‘damage’ to my phone. Damage was not there when I sent the phone and have photographic evidence of that as I had heard of potential scams. I’m not even sure if it was my old phone in the video
Tried contacting them by email and chat but all requests were ignored.
Complete scam, avoid at all costs. I am in the process of getting in touch with Trading Standards to help get this company shut down”
“Offered £295 for an iPhone 13
It's been in a case all its life with a screen cover it's better looked after than the kids!
After their inspection they offered me wait for it £80! Eighty whole pounds!
After I declined the offer they added a whole £5 to sweeten the pot and bring me back around .
Now it gets interesting
They will send it back but you need to pay for it.
£12.00 or £14.85
The £12 option covers you for £150 so you need to take the £14.85 option for £750 insurance cover.
But they collect via DPD you pay for a courier and they use Royal Mail .
They them tell you 3-5 delivery back
The postage is in their favour!
They keep the difference.
The customer Service rep was really awful and it was a throughly unpleasant experience dealing with them awful company beware just sell them private cash in hand right away!”
“Yep, absolutely terrible, wish I had looked on here before wasting time sending my phone to them. Overall good condition iPhone 13 Pro, battery life over 90% which they offered £380 for, came back with an offer of £120 after assessing the condition. Local phone shop had offered me £275 based on the same condition, so will be taking it to them.”
“Omfg do not use this company - valued iPhone 12 mini at £172 sent off the says it’s only £100 - told them to send back - phone lost 3 weeks later they paid full amount - then I find out they set up a DD monthly to cybersentry for £6.95 I’m calling fraud on this one !!! Do not use I’m livid”
“DO NOT SELL YOUR PHONE HERE.
I sent in my lightly used iPhone 12, 64gb Green, and was quoted £191 for it. A few days later they said that the screen was badly damaged and the sides and back were lightly damaged. Which is completely untrue and I do have photos of how my phone looked before I sent it in. When I saw the video of my phone I was shocked to see the whole screen had been scratched. Clearly done by them. They tried offering me only £80 for it! Do not sell your phone here, you are better off sticking to Facebook marketplace!
The photos below is my phone BEFORE and AFTER sending it to them!”
“I didn't even sell my mobile phone to this company, yet i was debited £9.99 from a company called pier insurance which apparently i had signed up for without my knowledge. It wasn't until i logged into my online banking and noticed a payment that i didn't recognize so after research and looking through my spam emails i found the said email. I didnt even sell to webuyanyfone.com. So why would i want to take out mobile phone insurance?
‘SO BE VERY CAREFUL’.. Stick to what i know and use Mazuma everytime.. Never an issue.”
“I was warned not to use these people!!!
Against my better judgement I did. I was offered £280 for my Samsung S22 face to face by a retailer and the same via EE and webuyanyphone offered £320. Stupidly I gave webuyanyphone a chance. The phone was classed as near perfect. On receipt webuyanyphone revised their offer to £80!! And charged me £12 to get it returned. Dodgy company, DO NOY USE.
I wish I'd listened to others!!!!”
“I strongly urge potential customers to **avoid using Webuyanyphone at all costs**. The initial offer we received was £121, but upon receiving the phone, they claimed it had a scratch on the screen—despite being in perfect condition when sent—and slashed the offer to just £10. To add insult to injury, they charge £10 just to return your device if you decline their offer. This experience reveals a concerning lack of integrity and transparency. **Do not trust Webuyanyphone** with your device—consider other, more reliable options instead.”
“DO NOT USE THEM
Perfectly good iPhone 14 Pro Max, quoted £620, good condition stated but revised offer of £505 as it’s classed as “Pretty Good” no option to state Pretty Good only new, good, poor
Rejected the offer now I’ve not heard from them to return the phone
Awful company”
“Amended offer much lower once I sent phone in. I accepted due to hassle, costs etc not worth it for the £50 difference. Life is too short. But I imagine this is what they count on. Not using them again.”
“Fully working condition iPhone 13 ProMax, minor scuffs but no cracks. Quoted £485 then on inspection they deemed it faulty due to wear and tear, offered £185! Then charge £14.80 to return it.
Postage pack they send out also doesn’t insure the value of the phone so this cost around £12 to send special delivery.
Never got a response to emails and then live chat she offered an extra £15 and left the chat within 1 minute so you can’t decline it!
Would never use again. Been offered £385 elsewhere even if deemed poor condition.”
“Scammers, offer you a top price you send them your phone and they try to claim your phone is worthless and offer you a heavily reduced price then charge you £10 to get your phone back”
“Scam of a company, my phone was sent in perfect condition, no scratches or damage. I forgot to save the IMEI number to prove it’s mine, they showed me a damaged and scratched screen and offered me £100 less. 100% believe they damaged the screen that was virtually new. Shocking company. Requested a return of the device. Avoid !”
“nder no circumstances use this company, they give the biggest quote to secure they are used but have no intention of honouring the quote as their criteria are ridiculous.. for their “good condition” offer, there can be no marks whatsoever, no lights scratches to the back or sides. My wife and myself sent them 2 phones that had spent their lives in protective cases with screen protectors on but they still deducted £100 off each quote for scratches you’d struggle to see with the naked eye so unless your phones has spent its life behind museum glass it won’t be accepted as in good condition. It’s then ata cost to get posted back so most people just accept and they know this.. do yourself a favour and use a company with realistic criteria for used phones”
“If there was an option to put 0 stars I would.
I wish I read the reviews before I put my phone forward. I sent an IPhone 14 Pro Max with an offer of £600. The return ‘expert’ opinion was £210! The phone had one small hair line scratch on the screen and said it was chipped. They now want me to pay £10.75 to return my phone back. Don’t know what postal service they use, but that’s absolutely outrageous!
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!”
