We wanted a firm mattress. They insisted we use there computer technology and it would inform us of what mattress we SHOULD get. It stated a medium mattress was suited best to us. So we spent £2200 on a bedframe and mattress. We are now both in agony with our backs 6 months on. My top tip don't use their silly computer analyser! They won't accept any responsibility for this!

my bed should have been delivered today but there was only HALF the divan base on the van. therefore i will have to sleep on the floor tonight as my old bed has been collected. ive been on the phone to customer services most of the day with no joy. Bad bad service. Order number 330319813 j. baker 8 longfield rise todmorden.

Ordered a bed back in December for our new house. This was a Tv bed. When we got it delivered in January the Tv never came. There was no notice of this! Had to pick it up for store weeks later. It gets worse. I noticed a ditch in the wood some weeks later and nails started to stick out of the side of the base. Called bensons for beds and spoke to a lovely lady called Jo who was really helpful. She said she would order a new base but unfortunately our bed had been discontinued so we would need to get an alternative. She advised us to go to store and see the alternative to make sure we were happy. We were told that if it was more expensive that we would not need to pay the difference as that is all they could offer us. When we went into store they said they could not order it without us paying £900 extra and told us to call bensons for beds back. Called them back and they have told us that for us to get the alternative bed that we need to pay £900 more. So we order a bed that they deliver faulty and they can not replace like for like so we have to pay £900 to get the equivalent. The only people to gain is bensons for beds for their mistake. They also told us that the new bed is a massive upgrade that’s why we need to pay more! However it is not a massive upgrade it is the same as our current bed but the new bed can lift to put storage under. We just want the same bed that they sold us without no damage. If they cannot offer us that then put your mistake right and offer us the equivalent. We got a discount on the bed that we have so cannot get anything for the same value however it feels because we got a discount we are not valued as customers and deserve a faulty bed. Disgusting customer service!! I will be telling everyone I know never to use this business again!!

Do not buy from these people I paid 1300 for a bed spoke mattress with a so called 10 year guarantee they won’t replace it is not fit for purpose and we are taking them to the furniture ombudsman the mattress is so bad we have had to purchase another one else where but will continue to fright for my rights

terrible aftercare from them…. matteress was confirmed faulty after just 4 months use….it cost £850!!! Collection of matteress and replacement went wrong and they took it to the wrong address…. then after hours with customer service they couldn’t arrange it to be booked for delivery for another week…. advised I couldn’t loose another day off work to take delivery etc and asked for a refund. Was told the refund would be in 2 working days…. this didn’t happen and i’ve had to chase for my money. Took a loan to buy another matteress to be here on day of faulty matteress going and my money didn’t appear after 2 day’s and so i’ve wasted time yet again to get it resolved. ! So I’ve chased yet again as it’s been 6 days and it’s just been processed over the phone. Now been told it takes 3-5 working day’s for MY money to go back into my account…. my bank loan will now incur fees but they wouldn’t offer any compensation towards this even though it’s all there fault. Appalling service and rubbish customer care that give wrong info everytime you call. I will never use you again!

This company is a fraud. They scam you into purchasing products online that do not exist and they don’t even have or can manufacture. I bought a bed set and for a month and a half they kept coming with none sense excuses saying that the item I bought has been discontinued. Until this moment the item is out there for purchase. They took my money and took me two months to get it back and hours wasted on trying to reach out to their customer service. Avoid and save your time and money

Purchased furniture for our bedroom in 2020 it was installed. Paid insurance to them that’s a joke. After a year the lamentation lifted as it’s thin and rubbish. Although claimed it hi quality and joke. After a year and a bit pushing them and attending shops email they agree to replace but didn’t . Then they finally agreed to send one out months years later they send it. Wrong colour so returned they arranged another months later 2023 the wrong colour again … Where can I get them to give me the item county court small claims Insurance ombudsman Furniture ombudsman Watch dog some one tell me how can they to give me the item How are they still be trading what an absolute sham of a business

Bought bed in May 2022 base creaking phoned customer services had visit from inspector in Dec who said base was faulty. Waited until middle of Jan 2023 for company to contact us they never bothered. 7 phone calls 2 e mails & 1 visit to the shop. The original base is now obsolete so they wanted us to pay extra for a replacement. Eventually 3 months after original complaint they delivered the wrong size base & we have now been told that we will have to wait another 3/4 weeks for another delivery. Once this company has your money it does not care and will go to any lenghts to avoid replacing faulty / shoddy products. Giving a 1 star only because it does not have a no star option.

Bought a 4 door mirror wardrobe in 2019, from bensons for Beds in Didcot with repair warranty paid for from home furniture repairs. This order was delivered, and the wardrobe couldn't fit because of its height. This order was returned and was changed to a 2 door sliding mirror wardrobe which was delivered within the specific estimated time frame. The sales assistant gave us a number of SERVICO group to contact them so that we could arrange and for the wardrobe assembling as We are not very good with DIY. SERVICO was overrated by Bensons for beds sales assistant that they were the best in assembly their merchandise. Servico group was contacted and a date was arranged for the wardrobe assembly. This was assembled within half an hour and the team left. A couple of years now, first damage that happened was the back of the wardrobe falling to the wall. Sliding doors now cannot slide to either side both stuck in the middle. And clothes hanging rail broken as well. Due to having warranty, I contacted hoke furniture repairs and made a claim. Home furniture repairs sent a technician who came and inspected the faulty parts. "He said this wardrobe was not fixed properly and is very wobbly when you slide the doors. Which is dangerous that I have kids around. He said he will feed back to the team and a date can be arranged to repair the wardrobe. Received, email from home furniture group to confirm policy number and ward robe I have. I gave them the 2 door policy number and instead them, they had the 4 door ward policy number which was first delivered and returned. So i had to contact bensons for beds several times to get this right but all in vain. Every time i called the store explaining the situation, they alwalys told me that that's right policy number they have got on the system. But then home furniture repairs have got a policy for the 4 door ward meaning the wardrobe can only be fixed by them if the policy is changed to correct policy number. Was directed to contact customer service reagarding this issue, and having explained the situation. The lady i spoke too apparently said that because the wardrobe was bought in 2019 and this is 2023 . Therefore it could not be fixed. I still feel very gutted and disappointed in the entire service providers and management of this particular merchant. The fact i paid for repair warrant i do not not think this is right because home furniture repairs are very happy to fix my wardrobe but only issue is the policy they got is for the 4 door wardrobe. And needs to be changed to the 2 door wardrobe that I have got now. So be careful especially when you put warranty on items purchased.

To say I'm disappointed is to say nothing. I'm infuriated. Bought a decent divan bed which was suppose to have 5 years warranty. It started to creak only 6 months later. They requested an independent inspection and gave me contacts of EcoMaster Furniture Repairs, for that I was supposed to pay £50 out of my pocket. But the furniture guy put "the customer was sitting on the edge of the bed" (actually I did not) and then on this premise BensonsForBeds refused to do anything. Separately I must say their phone/online support is virtually non existant, I was holding the line for 1h with no success, email's remained unanswered, I just drove to the branch where the bed was purchased to reach them out.

Appalling service. Failed delivery twice. First time driver was out of hours because given too many drops. Driver's mate even laughed down the phone whilst telling me i won't have my bed. Second time the bed stand had not been loaded on the van. On further investigation this isn't even currently in stock. How has this not been noticed and rectified? Both times I was assured on the phone that my items were on the van and would definitely be delivered. Disgraceful incompetence.

We ordered a bed on September to be delivered at the start of October, we are now at the end of December and still no bed or new delivery date. Horrible customer service when speaking to them on the phone.

Ordered and paid for beds upfront £4000 given a date five weeks, Day before delivery contacted the shop the shop said beds on their way, they have delivery driver contacted me I have a bed for you I said to singles one double Ottoman and three mattresses he said no one bed Ottoman. I’ve contacted store spoke to 7 persons previous day they confirmed there was one bed coming to me the rest of you delivered in six weeks time at this point cancel my order went to bed city in Kidderminster order three ottoman and three mattresses receive those within five days. Bensons for Beds are appalling left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing and the staff all seem to have the answers to the questions and I’m not surprised when the deliveries don’t happen do not buy anything from here!!! Also cheaper at Bed city, I have no interest or influence fees of these companies I am just a member of Jill public. The really interesting thing is six weeks on from cancellation I want to deliver beds to me???

I must say that spending nearly £3,000 for a bed and mattress, i had great expectations however from day one i was disappointed. Even though the product was well packed, the mattress arrived with a blackline of dirt right across the middle of it because the plastic protection had obviously been dragged along the floor and torn. I can report however, that the mattress wasn't damaged just dirty. I now find that the bed itself which is an Ottoman TV Sleigh bed, is no longer usable without causing injury due to the failure of the support pistons and yes i can accept products do fail from time to time but customer services have been no help at all, referring my case to the manufacturer who has not been in touch at all to remedy the problem. Whether its a manufacturing fault or not Bensons for Beds sold the product so they have a legal contract with me and should be dealing with this on my behalf and not leaving me to chase manufacturers. Due to the time that has elapsed and the lack of movement, it has left me no option than to contact Trading Standards because the product is not fit for purpose and no one is taking the dangerous risk seriously. i can't use without having other people present to hold the storage base up so i can use the bed for what i purchased it for, access to a large storage area due to lack of space in my property.

I have been trying to get the correct mattress in my house since October 2022. The first mattress was nothing like the one I laid on in the store. It caused me to wake up in pain crying on 3 occasions as it was so hard. I received it in mid-November. Then they claimed that I needed to sleep on it for 40 nights before choosing a new one and I would have to pay a 10% re-selection fee and choose an equal or more expensive mattress to the one I chose originally. I was furious as I was already on a light timetable at work due to my back and hip problems and not being able to sleep due to pain and a bad mattress. In the first instance, Bensons for Beds could have sent me the correct mattress on the correct date and removed your own mattress which is not what I ordered from the store on Friday, December 9th as promised. I had to take the day off work and now I am in trouble with my employer for having to take more time off. I have lost many nights of sleep and now I am having to pay extra osteopath bills due to your company's operational nightmares. I will be speaking to the ombudsman about compensation for lost wages and health problems related to this bed stress and trauma. I have the first mattress sent from the company sitting in my downstairs corridor completely blocking the entrance and exit of our property. It is a fire hazard as they were not able to collect it on the arranged date on Friday, December 9th. The operations staff is shoddy and you should not be outsourcing your mattress delivery to DX as they are not specialised to deliver mattresses. DX staff had the wrong mattress, and most likely broke that mattress bringing it to my second-floor bedroom, they were ill and coughing all over my house. They also damaged our walls with the mattress. Then we saw it did not fit in my room so it was definitely the wrong mattress. I am incensed that this treatment is rewarding your company and I still need to pay over £1k in financing for a bed I have not received for many months. I cannot believe that this level of customer service is legally allowed, so I am telling everyone I know to avoid your company. I am detailing the horrors of ordering a mattress from Bensons for Beds as this has been my experience and I hope it is not yours. If you had good service, you were lucky.

After many, many problems getting our bed. From damaged bed AND mattress, that we're delivered late. Then the replacement being damaged as well. Then having multiple cancelled deliveries. Finally we had our bed but offered barely any compensation. Now, within a year our mattress is faulty and when telling customer service, they did absolutely nothing. Again disgusted with the lack of help, care, consideration or ethics, but not disappointed because I expected it.

I'm absolutely furious. The mattress my mother bought has been delivered to the wrong address on the wrong date - entirely their system error. We've been on the phone 4 times to customer service, each time having to wait in a queue for 30 minutes before being able to speak to someone. They have all assured us a) first of all that everything was fine and it wouldn't be delivered incorrectly despite the notification from the (useless, incompetent, rude) DX Delivery courier; b) second that they would resolve the situation ASAP and get the mattress picked up and redelivered. It has been a week and this has not yet happened, despite them knowing she is moving house in a few days and needs the mattress picked up and redelivered before then - or else she will be sleeping on the floor for the next month. We will never, ever buy from them again or from any company that uses DX.

I have purchased a kingsized Slumberland bed and headboard from the Scunthorpe branch which has just been delivered. I can't heap enough praise on the excellent manager ,the ordering process, the communications and the delivery men (so pleasant and efficient)

So I paid a 71.99 deposit for a single mattress. The value of goods with delivery was 359.99. This brought the loan amount to 288. When the finance form came through I hadnt paid any deposit and the purchase value was 389. I explained to the manager and arranged for a refund due to the incompetence of the assistant and felt if I hadnt noticed the error then I would have been ripped off by the company. After reading the other reviews I hope I receive the refund.
