Now after 4 failed attempts to deliver our mattress we have had enough and requested a refund. We have a loan mattress as on attempt number 3 we thought they cant get this wrong again and got rid of our old mattress - the store then gave us a loan mattress. So now they wont refund us until they get the mattress back which means we have nothing to sleep on until we can get our money back and order a new one, from somewhere else I might add. Something needs to be done about this company they are affecting peoples lives with no concern whatsoever

Mattress is good, delivered on time. The delivery men weren't very helpful and left me with a heavy mattress to move on my own (43 year old women) mattress big and super heavy. Customer service at the Cambridge branch not very good, very sour faced when we went in with a minor problem. I was all smiles and she rolled her eyes at her colleague for actually being nice to us. Very unprofessional. Had a new delivery for a mattress protector and the plastic case was ripped and sheet was dirty inside..... it cost £73.00 so not accepting this..... looks like I might have fun sorting this out.

We bought a bed from Bensons in Altrincham the bed we bought was just what we wanted and we got a date for delivery but two days before this date we were told the bed was discontinued .I phoned the shop and spoke to Victoria who took control and got us a shop floor bed from another shop plus extras that was worth £200 . Later Leanne from the Altrincham shop got in touch and gave us £50 back for our trouble. We got our bed on time with £250 of and thats what I call good service Barry .

mattress snooze firm 4 not fit to sleep on as sides are turn in no support like falling out of bed benson for beds say down to wear mattress not a year old total customer disservice only gave 1 star as can not give less sorry a lot less

I so wish I had read the reviews before using this appalling company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU ARE EXPECTING GOOD QUALITY AND A GOOD SERVICE. Currently 88.18% One Star reviews and 3.51% Two star!! That's over 90% poor or very poor. Unfortunately, I couldn't give them 0 stars! I won't go into the details of the complaint but needless to say, the quality of what they delivered and the extremely poor customer service means I will never use or recommend this company ever. They were supposed to take away our old bed but the driver said it wasn't on his sheet, luckily he took it anyway and said they had been having problems like this. Oh and if you want a response by email, don't hold your breath, I am still waiting for a response after 5 days. Average waiting times if you call is around 30 minutes. That must mean lots of people complaining.

Ordered a bed on 4th September 2018, 21 days delivery quoted. I thought ok a little long but I can live with that. The actual date came through for 10th October, no apology for a 36 day wait. I received an email from the delivery company 1 week ago saying I would get an call 2 working days before delivery to arrange a morning or afternoon drop off. No contact was made. Today a day before the expected delivery date, 36 days after ordering to say the bed will arrive on 7th November. No apology,nothing. Well the bed is now cancelled and ordered from John Lewis. Delivery on Monday and being built free on charge. I will never shop with you again. Your customer service is disgusting, your staff are rude.

We were shown 2 Tempur mattresses to choose from, and told if we don;t like we can change as long as its within 40 nights. Paid £1,899 waited 3 weeks for delivery, arranged a house sitter to be in. called an hour before due to be told it had been taken off the van because it was overloaded. Eventually got that sorted and delivered later. Don't like the mattress as it has proved to be too firm. called customer services got though after 37mins to arrange exchange , told i have to keep it for 40 nights before i can exchange cant help wont help. Called in at the shop only to see same mattress reduced by £200 asked for my refund as per their 30 day price guarantee told it does not apply to Benson stores. Rip off. Tried to call customer services took 48mins to get through, basically not interested at all. Told if i can find the same mattress at a non Benson store then i could get a refund, but Bensons rename all of their mattresses so you will never get an identical match. We bought from Dalton park, the manger there could not be more unhelpful if she tried. Please tell everyone you know do not buy from Bensons, how they still trade beggars believe. I will stick with John Lewis from now on. All Benson staff especially customer services should take a leaf out of their training manual on how to treat customers, By the way i can change my mattress after 40 nights, but it will cost me £190 plus delivery. NEVER AGAIN

I so wish I'd read these comments before I spent £600 on a mattress, I've had it 18 mths and the springs are sticking out everywhere, I rotate on a weekly basis, it's a non turn, but told I'm supposed to turn it, wtf, Its not under there 5 Yr guarantee as it was just the mattress purchased, what a disgrace of a company, selling cheap shoddy items for ridiculous amounts, I pray for the day this company comes to an end 😠

Wish I had read these reviews first. Very similar experience to a lot of other people complaining about the aftersales and delivery service. Purchased another mattress from them as the I Gel mattress we bought 4 yrs ago has dipped so badly we cannot sleep on it anymore. Bensons arranged for FIRA to come out and he was late and rude and very dismissive and basically said there was nothing wrong with the mattress we had it on the wrong base.... well it had only been moved onto a new base a few days before his visit. He didnt want to hear about our problems with the mattress in fact he said you purchased an I gel 'what do you expect' !!!! We are also still waiting for our new mattress which after 3 attempts at delivery is still no where to be found in their warehouse. Having spent over £2000 on a new Tempur we are not impressed and still waiting for delivery over 2 months after ordering. To add insult to injury the Rep from FIRA told us that the Tempur mattress was basically no good and we would regret ordering it. What a shambles all round. Will never step foot in a Bensons shop again.

On the agreed delivery date for a divan ottoman and mattress. The delivery driver arrived and said did you know there is not a mattress for you. (We had got rid of my Sons bed the day before). The Macclesfield branch did all they could to get a rolled up mattress to us which they did that evening by a member of their staff. This took slot of time and calls to sort. A further date was arranged without notifying me but then that delivery did not happen. We then arranged for it to be delivered to the Store. I received a text saying they would collect the substitute mattress. The morning of the arranged collection I got a call to say they would be with me before 12 noon. I then got a call to say they would not becoming as they had to deliver it to store as planned and they would not be coming to collect the substitute mattress. We then had to wait in again this Saturday for a courier to drop off the mattress and collect the substitue. So much messing around - we will never use Bensons again and have advised others not to use them. You expect such a big company to be spot on. Customer Sevice is diabolical

Not happy with the quality of some pieces of bedroom furniture Hip Hop range. Impossible to get through to customer services...any ideas anyone? Emailed 1 week ago no reply. 1st phone call in the queue for ages I had to hang up, 2nd call said 45min hold time, pressed for ring back which didn’t come!!

What went right? We ordered a king size bed frame, king size mattress, a midsleeper bed and single mattress. On our delivery day the kindsize bed and mattress were delivered but not the midsleeper or the single mattress. We were not told why. The kind size bed frame was damaged and couldn't be replaced due to an end of sale. The mid sleeper and single bed were rescheduled for another delivery. On that day neither turned up, again without any updates from Bensons for Beds. Everytime we called them we were on hold for 40-60 minutes. Terrible company and the day I wake up to this company having gone bump it won't be a surprise.

Had a gel bed for over12months.since then we have not had a good nights sleep.Reported our concerns about our aches and pains and someone was sent round to inform us nothing was wrong with mattress.We would just like them to spend a night on this mattress.It cost us £1300 and now we are sleeping in spare room .Extremly angry with Bensons .

Forgot half of the order on the initial delivery. On second delivery, both cars are on the drive so when the driver knocks the door, we ask if he’d like us to move the car. Which is replies “nah it will be alright” five minutes later there bashing it off my pride and joy and say nothing. I also have video evidence

Yes delivered my beds and brought mud in my house all over my carpets , how inconsiderate keep well clear of this company , customer service rubbish

Terrible service! The bed was not delivered on the planned date. The driver called to tell me that the bed was not loaded into the truck and the customer service would call to reschedule the delivery. Waited for a week ans no call from customer service. I then called the Solihulk shop where i had bought the bed who nonchalantly offered to reschedule the delivery to another month later. The lady on the phone was not even apologetic. Now thinking to cancel the order and try Dreams next door to Benson's.

Where to start.....Boxes missing on delivery, parts missing from boxes, bed isn't fit for purpose, delivery truck breaks down, mattress can't be bent to go upstairs, customer services is an endless wait and the operators themselves are the rudest most unhelpful people I've ever encountered. Beyond belief, this is a company the high street can live without!

Bought a brand new mattress less than a month ago, was fine for a week, now the whole thing sags into the middle. It is a brand new frame too that is well supported, but the mattress itself (firmness 5) now dips into the middle from all sides. I lay on the side of it last night for the extra support that was still there, but ended up rolling into the middle. Insanity.

Purchased a bed at their Streatham branch which went smoothly. However, informed it would take 2 weeks for delivery. You have no say with regards to time/date of delivery and have to accept the day they give you unless you're willing to wait. Usually deliver Mon-Fri during working hours so very inconvenient. The delivery was due on the 10th of September and the driver could not locate our address and decided to return back to the warehouse. I live on a main road, and no one struggles to find my address. Furthermore, he contacted me and i called back in less than 5 minutes, by which time they had already left and would not return. I called customer service...hopeless and useless. They informed me to contact the store to rebook and earliest I could get was 2 weeks later on the 24th September. This incompetent company failed to deliver the bed on that day as there was a 'computer' error resulting in my name not being in the delivery list and thus bed not being loaded on truck/delivered. This is despite calling the store on 2 different days to confirm the delivery. At this stage I was livid and informed them I could no longer be flexible and they need to accommodate me. I gave them 2 dates when someone would be home and they delivered it on the 26th of September, almost a month after purchasing it. They do not care about the inconvenience they have put you through. It is difficult finding a relative willing to wait for a delivery on three occasions. Most people work monday-friday so if you agree on a set time/day, deliver it. This should be the norm but my experience clearly isn't the exception based on reviews i have read. Finally, after second failure, I wanted a refund but they informed me there would be a charge deducted. Incredible. Bed itself is fine. Terrible service! Not cheap beds so avoid and spend your money elsewhere.

Were do i start????? we took my 86 year old mum to purchase a new bed at Parkgate Rotherham branch. She saw the bed she liked paid over £1600.00 and was told this would be delivered 17th Sept great news!!!! NOT>>>> the drivers pulled up on the 17th with no bed???? so the telephone calls started took me over half an hour to get a response from some dim wit that thought it was ok for a 86 year old to go and get an air bed till they could get the bed back out at this point they couldn't locate the bed. The calls went on for the best part of the day were i told them they either book mum in to a hotel or they get a replacement bed sent out as she had no bed 6pm we get a replacement bed yey.... 2 days later we get a call they have found the bed its still in the warehouse and they have I.T problems silly me and i thought it might be the person inputting the details?? any way moving on we get a delivery date of 27th so as you can imagine were all getting excited as mum is having a proper bed,,,,,, the drivers turn up at 10am take the loan bed away bring in the new bed!!!!! yep thats right they leave a 86 year old to build the bed that she paid £15.00 for them to assemble she shows the lovely helpful drivers her paperwork the turn round and say " well you had the loan bed made up so were not doing this one as well" Congratulations Bensons my mum is in tears im no where near her to console her or build her bed " i hope you sleep easy " theres a phrase you cant use for your customers can you?
