Really frustrating - shame there is no 'zero' star review option. Trying to get Customer Services to help with a failed Bluetooth headset. visited Hemel Apsley store - told to phone customer services as the product failed outside of 4 weeks (failed at 10 weeks). Called customer services (three repeat phone calls) told to visit store etc.. I was eventually promised action and emails would be sent on my behalf to the store to address this - nothing. Their 0800 call handling is abysmal and clearly intended to make you give up... I thought Customer Service had moved on ?? - clearly not for Carphonewarehouse. My strong, strong recommendation is - do not under any circumstances buy anything from them if you have any expectation what-so-ever that they will help if the technology fails after a couple of weeks. A really dreadful experience.

I took out a new contract with this company and took up their offer of trading in my old phone. The price offered was good, so I paid to insure the phone, and waited for the cash to arrive in my account. One week later the phone was returned to me, with no explanation of why it had been sent back. I contacted CPW, who said they would forward an email to the trade in department, and I would hear from them within 24 hours. This did not happen, and I still do not know why they sent the phone back to me. It was fully working and in excellent condition, so there is no fault with it. I certainly willnot be using CPW again

Never use this company!! Astonishingly incompetent and frauds!! Me and my husband were due an upgrade! We were phoned by carphone wherehouse! We agreed a deal for two Samsung galaxy s10 phones and the amount for monthly payments and 20gb of data and to pay £100 upfront for each phone!! They said next day as well. When the phones did not show up I checked emails there was no confirmation email, so I checked my bank and the money had been taken from my account for the phones!!!! I phoned up and was told they could see that the money had been taken but that it had been processed wrong and it was an error on their part! They then said they couldn't do anything about it because it was done by their outbound sales team, and I would have to see if they phoned me!!!!! Why would they phone me! They only phone when your getting an upgrade! That I have already bought!!!! They then trasfered me to the normal sales team they then said they could only give me a more expensive deal! But I payed for that deal, you've already taken my money! A verbal agreement is legally binding, they legally have to uphold it! They should have it recorded if they wanted proof! They are fraudulent! Google it if you don't believe me people! Never use this company!!!

Appalling customer service. Ordered a phone on line which I needed for the next day. Checked the item in stock in the store I wanted to collect from. So far so good. Received an email saying delivery would be day later than needed. Rang and asked if I could just pick up the one in stock in store and was told no. So, I asked for order to be cancelled and was told this could not be done. So went to the actual shop to buy with view to returning the one due to be delivered in store from warehouse and was told could not do this unless there was a fault with it. I quoted the 14 day cooling off period for purchases on line and was told this was not the case for phones - INCORRECT. Grrrr

This is a company that really needs to get a grip and do it in a hurry. They must specialise in employing particular stupid individuals. Sadly a member of our family passed away a few days ago and I contacted the CPW to inform them and cancel his contract, I was asked if he could come to the phone? I replied, I'm sorry you maybe didn't understand what I said, he has DIED! I was told they would need to speak to him so he authorise me to speak on his behalf! I apologise to the idiot for losing plot with him at that moment but I really didn't fancy a trip to the mortuary to discuss matters with my dearly departed father in law and see if he could miraculously speak on the mobile as requested by IDIOT. The award of one star is one star too many.

Sent a phone iff for Trade-In with the promise of Money paid within 3 days of receiving the phone. 1 week has passed, they have my phone, and no money has been paid. I phoned the call centre, and they say they have "system problems" and once the system is working again, they will pass a message over to the trade in team, So basically I am being fobbed off. Luckily I sent the phone tracked and can prove they have it, as they have not even acknowledged receipt of the phone. I won't be buying from carphone warehouse again.

I cannot access the carphonewarehouse website as it keeps telling me that security level is not high enough on web browser (I use Google Chrome on a public computer or on my phone). Why is this such an issue now, when a few days ago I had no problem getting onto the website?

Awful customer service. Vodaphone had blacklisted my phone ( never been with vodaphone, carphone warehouse had given me a 2nd hand phone that was under someone else's name) The fault was with them and it took four calls to the repairs team and three visits to the local branch for me to get a new phone ( once I'd asked for a manager that is) after two and a half weeks of stressing because I need my phone for work. The first replacement phone they gave me had a broken camera. I won't ever be buying from this company ever again and if anyone has any sense they will stay well clear.

Shocking service - they sold a phone to a scammer online without sufficient checks . I only found out that they did this when I got billed for a few months of the contract. Written a complaint , phoned for return of monies, rarely get through , they say they will ring but they don’t. The bottom line is they sold phone in my name and address but it now transpires that they sent it to a ‘different delivery address’. Security is clearly flawed . Would not buy or deal with this amateurish mob!

I have bought two Iphones from Carphone Warehouse in the past, but went into the Westwood branch about purchasing a Sim only deal this time. Dino could not have been more helpful even for such a small purchase. I will have no hesitation in going into Westwood Carphone Warehouse future when I need a new phone, or recommending them to my friends and family. Many thanks:)

Really impressed with the Kingswood branch in Bristol. Spoken to a lovely guy of the name of George who had only been in the job for free days. Really gone out his way to help me with a problem and will be a great asset too the company. I felt I had too make a review because so many people take the time out to complain but never go out the way to complement someone who’s done a great job !

Dear Carphone Warehouse Further to my email of 11/03/2019 15:18 I note I have not received any response from you. The allegations are that: 1. You failed to acknowledge receipt of the mobile phone device that was sent to the Carphone Warehouse Trade In Department and signed for on 05/03/2019 by yourselves. No communication from the Trade-In Team has been received in any form. 2. The 'promised' £355.00 trade in price within 3 working days (as stated on your website/promo material) is still not within my bank account after 5 Working Days. 3. You are in breach of your own terms and conditions outlined at: https://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mobiles/trade-in.html 4. If you cannot provide an effective trade in service, you should halt operations with IMMEDIATE EFFECT until the issues can be resolved. This is to allow resolution of ongoing issues (it's clear other customers are impacted) and to put your 'customers' interests first. 5. You have provided non-existent customer service from start to finish - countless times I have been told further information will be available within the hour - only to be told it's not available. This is possibly due to lack of communication between the customer service/trade in teams which needs to be resolved with IMMEDIATE effect. 6. Despite asking on numerous occasions to speak to a customer service manager, this is never possible - possibly because you do not care about customer feedback?. Based on the above information and that logged under complaint reference 28373190 I invite you to make a final decision no later than 17:00 on Thursday 14th March 2019. This gives you 3 working days to conduct a full investigation into the matters outlined above allowing you to bring this matter to a close that puts the customers first. I would also like to take the opportunity to remind you this is a £355 trade in - not something to the £50 value. Failure to resolve the complaint and trade-in issues to 14/03/2019 (which seems more than likely) this complaint will be escalated to Mark Reynolds, Investor Relations Manager on Friday 15th March. Gravesend store gave misleading info and said I had 14 day cooling off period. Am on day 9 have been into store 3 times and they refuse to cancel contract. They don't answer phones. Horrendous service

Purchase was fine trade in a disaster with no customer COMMUNICATION and poor customer service. No possible verbal communication results in frustration, and as for retaining my handset for over a month without any explanation. Trading standards should investigate this APPAULING area of the company

I wouldn't recommend carphone warehouse to anyone and anyone who goes with them may want to think before they have anything from them as we purchased a phone on contract with them it took 3 days for it to be connected then to find out that they connected it to my dads sons account and was taking the money out of his account not once but twice then we tried I return the phone and they are telling me they wont have the phone back even though the phone was cut off we have had nothing but problems from carphone warehouse and they are not helpful at all and then when I was in store a customer service advisor was in a customers face offering her out for a fight which is bad it's the oldbury branch and i definitely wouldn't recommend these ti anyone

Completely useless, offered me a deal over the phone and then set me up with a different contract. Complained twice but they take 10 working days to get back to you. And then somehow they managed to enter my address on the system wrong so I couldn’t even get back through security and the only way to speak to get this sorted is to go into store. What was sold as an easy upgrade has turned into a nightmare
