TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE Message now passed to A Baldock CEO and awaiting reply Further I have recording of visit when engineer tried to con me into signing his blank screen and then refused to leave when I asked him- disgraceful behaviour by HOTPOINT ENGINEER - COMPLAINT IN REF THIS DISGRACEFUL BEHAVIOUR TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE - still trying to get my money back with faulty goods under six months old - take no notice of emails sent - deliberately send emails with such small print and refuse to refund - letter I have sent soon to follow - DISGRACEFUL COMPANY - Contacting watchdog etc as not applying the law DEAR CURRYS I SENT THIS letter below ON THE 20TH SEPTEMBER and all you have done is argue for not refunding for the faulty goods - fridge freezer- attempted repair ONCE but FAILED THE ITEM IS UNDER SIX MONTHS OLD UNDER THE CONSUMER GOODS ACT 2015 I REQUEST A FULL REFUND NOW - STOP DELAYING I AM NOT USING THE ITEM ANYMORE I AM PASSING THIS TO WATCHDOG 20/09/2019 Dear Sir or Madam, REFERENCE: Order Number /Currys-Hotpoint Aquarius HMCB 5050 AA Integrated 5050 I purchased the Hotpoint Aquarius HMCB 5050 AA Integrated 5050 from Currys. At the point of purchase I paid £288. The Hotpoint Aquarius HMCB 5050 AA Integrated 5050 is not of satisfactory quality. This item had a light that kept coming on and off when in use and the temperature seemed to rise as the light stayed on when the door was shut. It also got very cold occasionally and froze my salads sometimes. The light also did not switch on sometimes when the door opened.I was concerned about it from the start but had put up with it for a while. Then I noticed it got worse and the light stayed on whilst the fridge door closed which was a bit worrying and I phoned up Curries/Hotpoint to get it sorted out. The engineer came and said it was the spring in the door unit light. which he replaced He left and I then did my own checks and put a phone inside the fridge and the light went off initially and then came back on and stayed on when the fridge door was shut. This means the fridge is in effect heating up sometimes. I have also noticed the door seal does not seem to work fully. The engineer insisted that I should have it fixed again as did Hotpoint service, but I have now switched the fridge freezer off and stopped using it as it is obviously faulty and they have tried to fix it once already and I am concerned as to the temperature of the fridge etc as the seal does not seem to work and hold the door in as well as the light not working.. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 makes it an implied term of the contract I have with Currys that goods be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. As you are in breach of contract and I've owned the product for less than 6 months and a previous attempt at repair or replacement has also failed, I am within my statutory rights to ask for a full refund of the original cost paid. I await confirmation that you will provide the remedy set out above within 14 days of the date of this letter. Yours faithfully,

took 7 phone calls to customer service to get dishwasher sorted. one delivered damaged. each phone call took 31 minutes with the first 20 mins on hold, no confidence in what you were being told by staff, if first one had done their job properly would not have needed the other 6 calls and me being uptight with silly jingle while waiting, Not Customer Service. Customer wind up

I attended the Curry’s PC World in Speke Retail park to buy my son a laptop. I’m helpless when it comes to technology and a young girl named Mya helped me a lot. She talked me through all the laptops and told me how they work and their features. She also set up my laptop and showed me all the benefits of the warrantee in store. Amazing, I highly recommend this store in Speke.

Dear all, I went buy gas cooker at Curry's. They strongly recommended Electric cooker. I had changed my mind to buy electric cooker based on their recommendation. However I didn't like and wanted exchange. I went to the shop and explain everything and happily agree to exchange. Next day I went with receipt the Manager of the shop said NO we don't exchange. Manager was saying they make lots of recommendation its customer fault to trust their promise. They talk lots until you buy something. Once you bought the product their attitude completely different. His customer service so awful. I had seen on their vehicles We know how to deliver. Now I know what they can deliver ( their unwanted items) The staff knows how to deliver faulty recommendation The manager knows how to find loophole to cheat their customer. Due to moved recently different location I had buy more items, Now I went Argos. Better customer service, reasonable price. They deliver what promise. Avoid Curry's!!! Curry's Cant deliver what they promise.

It's a shame one star is not an option to write this review. Without boring the reader too much with the very lengthy details of our case, we were promised a refund following a very poor installation for a white good we purchased from Currys several months ago. We had to pay our own plumber in the end to sort the problem (he said it was the worst installation he had ever seen). I spent around 10 hours in dealing with their 'customer services' department trying to sort the problem. Despite being promised a refund, and even receiving a phone call confirming that payment had been made, we did not receive any money from them. I have NEVER known such poor customer service from a company and will NEVER be buying anything from them again.

Purchased a fridge freezer from Curry’s £900 it broke just short of 3 months later! And then the fun started! It would be 10 days before they could get an engineer out to look at it! 10 days we said? And what do you suggest we do in the meantime with no fridge or freezer? (Not interested) 10 days later the engineer turned up and confirmed it was broke.... I am then told he would fill out his report and someone would call.... that call never came so we then spent the next week and a lot of calls by us to Curry’s to find out when we would get our replacement fridge freezer? That took another week (almost a month without a fridge-freezer now). We then broached the subject of what Curry’s will do to compensate us for A. The inconvenience and B. The cost of the food we had lost(£250) worth! I have never been so insulted in all my life when they said we only compensate for the frozen goods then offered a pitiful £60. Which was rejected after a lot of chasing up then offered a pathetic £99 take it or leave it type attitude! We are still in this process as I think the offer and aftercare offered by Curry’s customer service is an absolute joke! I won’t hold my breath... but one thing I am sure of is I will never shop at Curry’s again. They are allegedly one of the leading companies for household appliances, unless you have a faulty appliance they could not care less! Having read some of the shocking reviews by others it has urged me to write mine..... Do not buy from Curry’s they are a disgrace! It doesn’t end here! I will push for a governing body to look in to Curry’s and their appalling aftercare 😡

Do not buy anything on-line from this so called company. All you hear is a pack of excuses from customer service who obviously are not trained in good manners or taught how to speak to a Customer. I bought a tumble drier on-line paid for next day delivery and for taking away of old one. Cancelled a lunch appointment Sunday and sat waiting...and waiting...the customer service close at 5pm, but you are told they can deliver up to 7pm so we waited until then. It didn't arrive, so called first thing Monday morning, waited 14 mins for phone to be answered, was told that they had none of that make in stock, so that's why it wasn't' sent, they are due in on Wednesday so they could send one to me on Thursday. I then got passed across to Sales so I could chose another one, so it could be delivered tomorrow. Turned out I have to pay again for a different Tumble dryer and have the original refunded!!! I refused to pay again and was passed back to Customer Services. ..after 10 mins of phone ringing out. I gave up and called complaints (press 3 then 4) Finally someone to helped me, I chose another make, then the Customer Service went to his line manager, came back and said that they actually did have the Original Tumble dryer in stock at the time, but due to a "Systems Error" it hadn't been loaded onto the truck. So he'd arrange for the original one to be delivered on "Thursday" (isn't this the day I was promised by the first Customer Service?) I told him I want it tomorrow, which is next day as with the original order, was told they only deliver on Thursday in my area....So that's why they didn't deliver in the first place is it?? I cancelled the whole lot, however Currys still have my money in their account making interest, for the next day or so. Makes you think how much they make by this means. So here I am, no tumble dryer and lighter in my bank account by £250.00. Luckily I have enough to go and pick one up..not from Currys. So a word or warning Do not Shop with Currys.

ABSOLUTELY HORRID CUSTOMER SERVICE - Spoke to a guy called Chris in the online department regarding a microwave order i received the day before (The russell hobbs rhm2017) it makes a very disturbing loud noise when i first turn it on then goes quite before going off completely. he popped me on hold, came back and said one other person had left a review about that product and said after a while it sorts itself out so there's nothing he can do. i insisted i to speak to a manager but said he wouldnt do that and hung up the phone on me instead. I called back and spoke with a lovely lady called Yasemin who sorted out the issue and issued a collection/replacement

Rubbish service Spoke to Imram at Nottingham he had an attitude problem from start to finish I needed a new fridge freezer and curry’s were advertising removal of you old one I found one I liked and asked if the door handles could be swapped to the other side he said yes no problem they come with and idiots guide and there should be no problem. So I said I would buy on he then said I had to pay for removal as it was selected only. I asked if he would wave the charge and he said no so take it or leave it. I left it and drove to Derby who instantly waved the removal charge. I received by f/f today and being a widow I found swapping the doors & handles s nightmare do I rang installation and spoke to Emma (obnoxious) and she said they couldn’t help me as I had already tried to change the doors my self. Fortunately for me my very bright daughter rectified the problem for me. Curry’s service from start to finish as been appalling

I only usually leave positive feedback, it takes a lot to push me to leave a negative review however Currys PC World have pushed me that far. I am leaving a one star review as it’s not possible to leave a zero star review. Absolutely disgusted by the service provided by Curry’s recently to my elderly in laws. Delivery was arranged for Sunday but failed to turn up. They rang during the day to query progress and were told two conflicting stories regarding where their delivery was. When it failed to arrive, I rang on their behalf and was told the driver could not find their address. (they live on a main road – anyone unable to find that address shouldn’t be a delivery driver and why did they not ring to ask for directions?) . Many phone calls followed over the next two days as the delivery was constantly changed when I was tracking the status on line. It was finally delivered on the Thursday, but only after I emailed the customer services department and copied the Chief Exec. Yes a financial gesture was given, but quite frankly, it wasn’t worth the inconvenience and hassle.

Placed order for 50/50 intrigated fridge freezer with ‘fixed’ fitting. First deliver item has sliding fittings. 2nd delivery again sliding fitting, wrong description on Currys website. 3rd delivery 70/30 fridge freezer delivered instead of 50/50 wrong one put on delivery van. Currys you are a joke. Treat customers appallingly. Wish I had never purchased goods from you and will never buy from you again. One star is for nice delivery staff. Certainly not for Curry’s customer care.

American style fridge freezer delivered today. Two men arrived with it, took off packaging before trying to move thro the front door. The weight was far too much for these guys. They had nothing to put down to protect the floor and consequently managed to dig a gauge in my wood flooring! From my observation they had had no training and were not strong enough to carry such a heavy item.

Diabolical after sales service. Delivered a damaged washing machine and cannot get any resolve after a week. Phone queues of 1/2 hour and 3 day delays in replies to emails, even then they ask ridiculous questions they already have the answers to in original email. AVOID !!

I’ve never left a bad review for any company (even though I should have done so) but I am absolutely infuriated with the utter lack of customer service and the abhorrent attitude of staff on their “customer service” line .,, took 50 mins to speak to someone and “jasmine” was the most rudest, awful person I’ve ever spoken to !!! Just about to put in a Paypal case to get my money back ... ordered on AO now !!! Avoid this company

I paid £10 extra for the next day delivery to receive it for Mary son’s birthday. Waited for 4 days and rang them twice a day requesting update about my order. Every single time they said your order is out for delivery and will arrive%100 today. Day 5 and still waiting... currys ruined my son’s birthday.
