Very poor service. Combined telescopic hedge trimmer and chainsaw ordered, it arrived in a battered box with the chainsaw blade missing. No instructions or safety information. Mistakes happen but the lack of care trying to get this rectified is appalling, calls not returned, nobody seems to care. No apology. Still waiting three weeks after delivery, still no chainsaw blade. Please do not buy from this company, they simply do not give a damn.

This is a great little Mower until such time you need to replace the Battery. My third battery has died as they don't seem to last that long and expensive to replace. I'm now going to ebay it and buy myself a small Mountfield SP164 petrol driven mower which in the long run would have been a better and cheaper buy at the outset.

I was going to order until I read these reviews. There is an awful lot of 'SORRY" in the replies but they all tell the same story. Inefficient ,chaotic and badly organised company not worth using as you can get similar products elsewhere.

This company is trading frauduently. They are taking your money for goods they do not have. I have waited since October for a spare battery. Told today I will receive it sometime in May...... Fed up with lies I rang as a new customer to find out if I could order an eckman multi tool and told 10 day delivery. I could have it within 5 days if I paid an extra £5. However, whilst having a rant today the telesales manager informed me that they had no units in the warehouse...that being no multi tools at all. Charger is not included has to be purchased separately. Next step to contact daily telegraph classified ads. and trading standards to inform them and stop others being ripped off.

I was about to order three items from the Eckman catalogue but after reading all the reviews I decided to bin the catalogue and go elsewhere.

I wanted a spare part for a petrol multi tool. I phoned customer services and emailed them to be told they keep very few spares and could not obtain them ! So basically my machine being out of guarantee is now redundant. Do not buy anything from this company!

Bought a backpack multi-tool. Very good tool till the engine seized. Contacted company and present company that sells these items has bought up all stock from a company that went bankrupt, and is selling the stock till they run out. Get rich quick merchants. THEY SELL NO SPARES FOR THIS EQUIPMENT, AND DON'T INTEND TO. They are obliged to replace or refund in the first year after sale, but are not obliged to sell any spares, and they are unobtainable. DO NOT BUY THIS EQUIPMENT.

I bought a multi purpose pole hedge trimmer and all seemed well for the first two years. The top of the fuel cap then sheared off from the rest of the cap. This was either due to poor design - there being insufficient material around the thread of the cap, or poor quality plastic being used for the component. Excess force is not as issue as no damage or wear is present on the thinner walled plastic tank. I contacted customer services regarding a spare part replacement and was emailed back to say that they do not hold these as spares. Without the cap, the entire product is useless. Looking at other reviews, I see that spares is a issue. In future I will only purchase products from a company that has a reliable spares policy.

We brought the Eckman brand name but not exsisting not so am sorry that we were unable to help you in this instance.

Again I should have read the reviews before I ordered. Delivery longer than stated. Then wrong item sent and would not send a replacement until incorrect item returned. Organised collection through Eckman and nobody turned up. Reorganised collection and item collected by courier on 18 February 2015. As of 03 March I am Still awaiting refund and told by Eckman that they have not yet received the item. I have incurred costs on chargeable telephone numbers and have received absolutely no satisfactory answers from the supposed customer services department. Live and learn and will never use this company again.

Finally received a full refund and £10.00 towards to cost of postage for returning my faulty long reach hedge trimmers. The customer service you receive from this company really depends on who you get when they answer the phone! I spoke to Sam on 0203 455 0497 and he couldn't have been more helpful. They also seem to answer this number very quickly. This still doesn't mean I would ever buy from this company again. Good luck and don't give up chasing them until you get what you want.

How I wish I'd read these reviews before placing my order. We ordered a long handled hedge trimmer plus helmet in Jan and heard nothing. Phoned a month later and they couldn't find our order on their system, then said everything was out of stock. Eventually got the helmet and then the trimmer arrived but with no battery!!! Phoned to complain and again we didn't seem to exist on their system and they didn't seem to care at all. I will be phoning again today but don't hold out much hope. DO NOT BUY FROM ECKMAN.

DO NOT buy from this company. They are happy to take your money but you will have a nightmare trying to get a refund should you need to. Delivery times are longer than advertised and you can never speak to customer services unless you are prepared hold on the phone for 15 minutes or more. They offer to refund you up to £10.00 towards the cost if returning any item. I am still waiting for my refund despite returning my item and tracking the delivery.

I ordered from Eckman 10 days before Christmas and unlike ALL other companies I buy from online they send no email confirmation of your order. I finally received the parcel 8 weeks later, obviously too late for Christmas and it's incomplete. I'd ordered and paid for two salt & pepper grinders but have only received one. I also no longer require Grandad's slippers (had to get him some elsewhere for Christmas!) but daren't return them as I doubt I'll receive my money back. They have not replied to emails and although they answer the phone quickly in case you want to place an order, they then put you through to customer services and I'm yet to hear them answer the phone. There are so many professional companies doing business properly, I'd recommend buying from one of those instead - one who respects and appreciates you as a customer. Eckman obviously doesn't.

Order No 17101 I ordered a telescopic chainsaw and hedge trimmer plus helmet on November 8th. On Nov 24th I enquired as to delivery date and was told it had been despatched on 21st and to allow 7 days for delivery. On Dec 1st I phoned re where it was and was told it must have been misplaced and another would be sent and should arrive by end of week. On Dec 4th Yodel turned up with a parcel, left hurriedly and I then discovered it said “2 of 2” and it was just the helmet. I immediately phoned Eckman to try and get them to contact Yodel to return with the rest of the order before they got too far away (I live in mid Wales a bit off the beaten track) but was told they couldn’t do anything and I would have to wait until they discovered it themselves. Contacted Eckman by email on Dec 5th reiterating what had happened on 4th . Having heard nothing I phoned again on Dec 8th and told to report it in writing. I requested to speak to a manager and told that one would phone me back. When none materialised I phoned in again on Dec 9th and after going over the whole saga again was told that, contrary to what I was told on 1st December, no reissue had been made. I repeated my request to speak to a manager and although this was promised yet again nothing happened. I decided that enough was enough and emailed in cancelling the order. On Dec 12th Yodel turned up with a battered box which appeared to be the telescopic chainsaw. I refused delivery as I had already cancelled the order and gave Yodel the part order that had come earlier. The driver actually said that because of the state of the box he wouldn’t have been surprised if I had refused delivery anyway. I immediately contacted Eckman and was told that a refund would be issued as soon as it had been received back. Since then, and despite several exchanges of emails, I still have not had any refund, and to give an example of their incompetence, following the last email I had sent using the order number as a reference, they said that they were unable to locate my order with the information supplied. It is now over 3 months since they took my money and 2 months since I cancelled the order and looks as if I will have to go to the Small Claims Court. I will NEVER use this company again.

AVOID THIS COMPANY at all costs. I ordered a rear view mirror which was pictured in a RADIO TIMES supplement. I could not find this mirror elsewhere so I went on line and ordered it from ECKMAN who pictured the same mirror in their listings. I received a confirmation of order by return and was told delivery would be in a few days. After a 15 days , having heard NOTHING from eckman I telephoned them to be told the item was out of stock. finally a mirror arrived a month after our order. IT WAS A COMPLETLY DIFFERENT MIRROR to the one advertised. we emailed the eckman for an explanation . After another 4 days we emailed them again as we had not received a reply. Finally 7 days later they replied and told us to return the item We had requested that THEY pay for the return postage BUT THEY ignored that part of our letter. we sent the item back and heard nothing from them. After 10 days we found the name of eckman`s CEO and sent him a letter explaining the full story. Again no reply,so we looked on line again and found a different name for the CEO and sent him the full details. His name is Melvyn Eden , " mel@eckman.co.uk " He replied and said he would look into the matter. 7 days later we wrote again to mel as we had not heard back. We did get a full refund and our postage costs 1 month later. No apology , no explaination. AVIOD THIS COMPANY IS OUR RECOMMENDATION !

Nigel K Ordered telescopic chainsaw & hedge trimmer on Sunday then read the reviews, had I also been taken for a ride, decided to call customer services on Thursday to check if all ok, call was answered quickley and was advised goods were out for delivery, a quick phone call to the delivery address confirmed goods had been delivered, the quality of the products looks to be very good. I would always advise to pay by Pay Pal. All in all a very good experience

My recent experience with them. I ordered 5 items from them at the end of November 2014; one of the items I was pre-informed would not be in stock till the middle of January 2015 This I accepted, but when none of the other items arrived - - I was told that some of these were also out of stock but that I'd get them in 2 or 3 weeks. - This only on my enquiry , no message from them explaining etc. They did not appear and -- e-mails were ignored. In mid-January I received an e-mail saying that the main item was now in stock. I asked why I had, in that case, not received it. No response. Eventually , after more than two weeks, - I sent them a breach of contract letter - and received a letter saying that my items had in fact been dispatched and I'd get them in the next few days or "they would assume that they'd been lost in the post" ( ! ) ( - a few days after this I received a reply to my e-mail of 3 weeks before, saying that they had no record of my order and asking for more information.) And after yet another letter informing them of the non-receipt of the items, and a reminder of my seeking damages, I was phoned and told that all items were being sent by courier and given a date for delivery. I waited in all day - but to no avail. Their reply to this was that the courier came to my address, but did not deliver it as the package was damaged. By this time I'd had enoughof being taken for a fool and messed around and asked for a refund. I still had to contact them again before the money was refunded. So, while I'm glad to get it - it was only at the point of "next step the small claims court " - -- and so , after two and a half months, no goods, - but a great deal of hassle, time, energy and cost of recorded delivery letters, phone calls etc. I shop on-line almost exclusively and have never has such an appalling "service" Yours Faithfully, M. Do not use this company!! I've had exactly the same experience as the other reviewers. Ordered an expanding fence on 09/01/15. They immediately took payment but have not delivered. No one answers their Customer Services line and they have not replied to my emails. They should be shut down.

Order18215 Avoid ???? did not deliver when said , parts missing , bad customer service no help , ordered tree looper 23rd Nov 2014 just received complete order today 5th feb 2015 emails no replay many phone calls staff saying short staffed different excuse every time . Shocking!!! Avoid this company

ORDERED GOODS ON LINE ON 19/01/15. DELIVERY 7 DAYS> AS OF 4th FEB goods still not arrived.Customer service and e mails ignored. Requested refund but dont have much hope. Will rely on my credit card company. They cannot give a tracking number, or tell you the carrier. Order number 21772 W G SETCHELL
