“I would never recommend renting a vehicle from the enterprise location in Ogden Utah. Their management staff is very unprofessional and rude! Never ever rent from these people! Rent from the Layton,Utah location, much friendlier and helpful staff”
“I was misinformed about rental coverage. I was charged for three days after being informed I would not be charged and then told to tell my insurance company to pay me back for charges. The ticket had been closed. They could do nothing”
“Had to give a time to pick up my rental, I arrive 15 minutes after the arranged time and car isn’t ready. I voice my displeasure at having to wait on not one but 2 cars (1st car is stuck in the snow in their lot). After mentioning this the branch manager asks what he can do to make it right, I told him it should’ve been ready by the time I had reserved it for, he said it was. Nope, windshield wipers still covered in the ice/snow from the wknd. After a few back and forth he asks for the keys, tells me we are done here. This is the 2nd time of a bad experience at this location…called my insurance co and explained the situation. Enterprise will not be making any $ from me or my ins policy.”
“If I could leave zero stars I would. Not worth the hassle, not worth the head ache and not at all worth your business. If you have a problem, good luck trying to get true customer service. No one knows what the true policies are and you’re constantly being jumped from rep to rep. And god forbid your loaner gets towed. Life happens and enterprise is but there to make anything easier for you. Decent cars, sure m but consider a different company.”
“If I could rate lower I would!!! They are the most unprofessional customer service team and people I have ever had to deal with! While I understand stuff happens but 3 hours and the response from the employee was well I have been waiting and you need to wait!!! Sorry the funeral doesn’t wait and I book this vehicle two weeks in advance.”
“Newark McCarter Hwy,
be very careful with this branch, they will try to pin on you any little thing to charge your insurance if you do not purchase their insurance at time of rental. I mean you have to check every inch of the car (head lights included) no only scratches or dents.”
“I made a reservation over the phone for a location near my location where I dropped off my car for repair. I received a rental confimation by email. I did receive a call back from this Enterprise location and was told they do not have any cars available. I was told they would contact the next closest location and have them call me. I was never called back and called the location but the phone was never answered. I found an Avis rental that answered and they were exceptional in handling my rental needs. I needed a rental again a few weeks later and the same thing happened. I got a rental confirmation and got a call back saying they didn't have any cars available. I asked if there was problems with the reservation system and they told me yes there is, there is no inventory search when reservations are made.”
“Car steering wheel vibrated left and right at speeds above 50mph. Car smelled like smoke, seats were stained/dirty. Problems with phone charger. I had a monthly rental rate. Returned after 6 days to swap cars. If I swapped cars I would have to pay higher rate because it would be for 3 weeks thus I would not get the monthly. So the issue was with their vehicle and I need to pay more? Then I said terminate the rental and I would be charged the non monthly rate for the 5 days. You cannot make this up. Cancelled, will be cancelling another scheduled rental and I am done with Enterprise. They were my first go to for rentals the past few years. Now they aren’t on the list.”
“I reserved a car, got a confirmation number, took an Uber to the Enterprise place and when I got there I was told that no car was available. Then I took another Uber to a place further out of town and realized there was another Enterprise location not too far away. I reserved a car there, got another confirmation number, took another Uber there and when I got there was told that no car was available. Never again! That's no way to do business”
“My flight from IAD was cancelled two days in a row. After the 3rd attempt I decided to drive the 3 hours home. I rented a KIA Fort from the Dulles location on Monday afternoon and needed to return to the Johnstown Pa location where our car was parked within 24 hrs.
Katey at the desk was very nice. She knew I was very upset with the airline and was in a rush to get the car and pick both my wife and luggage up at baggage claim.
Katey walked me out the side door and sounded the KIA horn from the remote to show where it was parked. I went right to the car and never looked it over for damage. I picked up my wife and drove back home. Parked car in my garage and on Tuesday morning drive the rental to the Johnstown location. Upon arriving the kid (Noah) went out and immediately started looking at the front end like he knew something was up. He came back in and asked if I wrecked the car. I told him “absolutely not, why” he said the front drivers side quarter panel was cracked and the front passenger side wheelwell was missing the whole shroud. I told him that they had to have rented it to me that way as they knew I was in a hurry and didn’t buy their costly insurance plan.
My insurance company is fighting it out with them. If they have any surveillance cameras at the exit in Dulles they could certainly see the damage was there b4 hand. Just to be transparent, if I did in fact wreck the car, I would admit it and pay the piper. But I didn’t and it really disturbs me. Regardless, Travelers said I owe nothing but it just blows my mind that a company like Enterprise would pull such an undermined and disturbing ploy to have someone else pay for damage that was done by another party. Be it their employee or past customer.
I have rented from Enterprise many times in the past as I travel a lot for my business. If I find the need to ever use their services again I will be sure to go over the car I’m renting with a fine tooth come. 😡”
“Your local branch Apache Junction Mesa Az don't even bother to answer the phone. Puts you on hold and then hangs up on you. Poor or no customer service. What a waste.”
“I spoke with a lady by the name of DJ (sp) at the location in New Braunfels. She was very rude. She called me sir and hung up on me twice. When I tried to talk to her about a car she would cut me off and threaten to call the police. I don't appreciate being disrespected and I certainly do not appreciate being hung up on. My question was about making a payment and instead of answering my question she raised her voice, threatened to call the police and hung up on me. I will not refer this company to anybody. This is not how you treat customers. I understand if she's having a bad day, but you do not take your frustration out on customers just because they asked a question. If I could give zero stars I would!”
“Absolutely horrible experience. I've rented from this location multiple times with no issues but the staff is the reason I will never be back. I got into an accident recently and got a rental from them through insurance.
After a while I started paying out of pocket until I get my new car. My card was locked when they swiped it for payment which caused it to decline and their policy is they can only try once every 24 hours. So instead of them being patient with me and helping me come to a solution they caught attitudes and said id have to return the car right away. Mind you I've been paying this whole time with no problem. When I explained and even offered to call my bank in front of them they were not trying to hear me out instead the manager Shawn laughed at me.
They're so unprofessional and they don't care about their customers honestly never felt so disrespected.”
“On 1/28 I left a family heirloom ring inside an Enterprise rented vehicle (Massillon location). It's been in our family for over 50 years. Upon noticing this I visited the store, emailed customer service and also called them.
The Enterprise customer Service representative, says Enterprise is not responsible for lost items.
I replied, it's not lost but stolen from the vehicle by one of your employees.
Ensure to never leave anything in an Enterprise vehicle, as obviously theft is acceptable!!!!!”
“Went to rent a car in mesa airport with a reservation and they messed up the reservations so while customer after customer comes thru we are waiting now for 45 minutes and they only have one type of car. Will not be renting vehicles thru this company anymore.”
“Went to two different locations and all of their car are filthy inside and out. I asked the manager why they dont wash their vehicles and he said the water was still frozen from the snow storm last week. Vehicle motor making a noise. Also I was told they give their worst vehicles to insurance claim customers and keep the nicer ones for out of pocket customers.”
“This was the first time using the rental service to pick up a useless car in a spot and will be the last. Your set up is flawed and they are trying to take 400 pounds for a rental of 150 for a damaged car. Never again, I am cancelling my subscription. I have never been so stressed with the whole experience.”
“You are the greediest people I've ever used in my 69 years. As if you don't make enough off your rentals, you take a TINY little scratch and turn it into a complete front end job when I have witnesses to prove that the damage they saw was easily rectified with the $250 that was paid for it. The damage was so minor, that your representative didn't even notice it until I pointed it out to him. Here I am, an HONEST customer who uses your service all the time, (which is now WAS a customer) and you take advantage of by cranking up the price of a VERY MINIMAL scratch 4X what any normal body shop would have charged (and I've got the witnesses to prove it).”
