“I reserved a vehicle for a day (June 26th) trip during a recent trip to Washington DC so that my family and I could drive to Gettysburg. I arranged to pick up the vehicle at 7:30 a.m. on a Wednesday so that we could get to Gettysburg early. When I arrived at the Enterprise location we were informed that they had no vehicles. I was told my options were to wait until one came in or go to the airport where they had vehicles. We decided to wait. 45 minutes later we asked about the availability of cars and was again given no information. Staff were not helpful and were unconcerned about our situation. When I asked about the airport they said I would have to go to BWI which is over 40 miles away and I would have to pay to get there. This would mean we would miss Gettysburg and the private tour we had scheduled and already paid for later in the day. I quickly called another rental company (Avis) and was able to get a car.
We were able to get to Gettysburg later in the day but had little time to see or do anything. Enterprise ruined our day. I was called about 1 p.m. by Enterprise and asked if I still wanted a car and I said no. I understand not having cars available but having staff that acted like they didn't give a damn was especially frustrating. This was the location at 1110 14th St, NW, Washington DC.”

“Reserved a Tahoe on 7/3/24 to 7/7/24 got there said they were giving me a free upgrade gave me a suburban had funeral in Arkansas had to go. Left at 6pm enterprise closed. The front end was so bad. Shook so bad had to drive slow 5 1/2 hr drive took over 7. Hours. Late at night I'm a 57 yr old with a 1 year old and my husband had a stroke I was so scared my blood pressure was very high when I got to my destination. Had to drive it back emailed the lady at enterprise like she said still haven't heard from her today is 7/9/24”
“I had a reservation for Saturday at noon and I even received a voicemail confirming my reservation for noon. I arrived at noon and nobody was there they were closed. Nobody informed me that they were closing at noon. I called the customer service and they said they would call me back with a resolution. They never called back so after a few hours I called again and they told me to go to the airport so I drove all the way there. They were no cars available there so they said I was out of luck. I went next-door to budget rent a car and they were great and had a great customer service. Do not make my mistake and use enterprise because they are terrible and have terrible customer service”
“They don't answer the phone. They allow you to book and pay for vehicles online which are not available - you'll be lucky if there's anything available when you arrive. They don't refund amounts due back to you.
They claimed vehicle was damaged 2 weeks after returning, checking and agreeing there was no damage which there categorically wasn't and try to take £150 from my card.

“I had a reservation that I confirmed a week out for 7 person vehicle that I was supposed to pick up at 9am on Friday July 5th. When I drove all the way there to pick it up they didn’t have vehicle nor anything comparable. The guy there offered nothing other than to tell me it happens. I got no phone call or anything. Worst example of customer service I have ever seen. I then called the corporate and got nothing offered either. A trip was ruined and they could have cared less. I will never use again and tell everyone I can to never use.”
“I booked a car with Enterprise Rental in Okc at the Memorial location. The booking was made online I received 2 confirmations and even called to verify the the local site had a car. I was assured and confirmed my confirmation would reserve my car.
Well for the second time they did not have a car!!!!! They were over booked and called some unknown number that I didn’t even recognize. I’m going to let my insurance company USAA know about this horrible experience and poor service!”
“The CSR at the Middletown, OH office locked up my daughters credit card because the amount the reservation line gave her didn’t include a 300.00 deposit and the CSR didn’t give her the total amount before swiping the card and never apologized. When I commented how bad the customer service was, the CSR and the manger both started started yelling at us and said the refused to rent us a car and the manager came around the counter toward us like she was going to get physical and scream at us to leave the store or she was calling the police. Worst company ever!! Will never use them again or recommend them to anyone!! I want to call corporate but I think it would just be a waste of time. Enterprise obviously doesn’t care how bad they treat customers or how much business they lose.”
“I reserved a minivan a week in advance then Michael from Wakefield office called to tell me that he did not have a minivan anymore and for me to call all other branches. He wanted me to do his job then without telling me he canceled my reservation. I called customer service Colleen was of no help. I called back and a Spanish speaking girl said I don’t know how to fix your problem. I called again and asked for escalations then Cathy said oh the regional manager will get back to you and hung up on me. What kind of business is enterprise running? I have a trip planned to Cape Cod for my family of seven and enterprise ruined my trip. Never renting or doing business with them. Beware last minute you’ll be tossed to the ground”
“Employees were helpful at the Algonquin location but steered us towards a car that was too small. I needed a car for four adults ( 2 elderly) and four carry on bags . He said it would work. I was skeptical but took it home in Algonquin.We could only fit 3 bags. Immediately we brought it back. They offered other vehicles like the Yukon but too high for elderly to climb in and out of all weekend. We decided to cancel the rental. They charged us for the days rental”
“Horrible experience Enterprise located in Valencia, Tucson Arizona. The car that we reserved was not available when we came. The staff told us the car we want was not available even they called a day prior picking up the car to confirm it. Staff not friendly and sucks management. Please replace all the staff who works that location. No communication at all. They let the customer waited for so long.”

Enterprise did not honour my e-mail offer. They said they would not charge airport premium 25%, value-added tax 19% and registration fee, all of which increased my charges by 44%. Despite emailing them with the discrepancy, they maintain I was not overcharged.
They do these at airports where we are pressured for time and hope that we don't notice them. Extremely unethical and bordering on outright cheating. I will never use them again.

“I had the worst experience and absolutely terrible customer service at the location in the city of Concord on Concord Blvd. This location knowingly rented me a vehicle with tons of safety issues like the engine needs service now, cracks in the front windshield and low tire pressures on the vehicle. Within a few hours of renting this vehicle all type of problematic mechanical issues began. I took the vehicle back to the same location in Concord, and no one seemed to care they rented me a car with tons of safety issues. I explained the situation to twi young ladies working on Tuesday July 2nd around 1pm. Both ladies were rude and unbothered about the situation. One lady told me she couldn’t do anything for me and she’s trying to check other cars in and I would need to get back in line for assistance. The line was extremely long and they one had one person at the front desk. I also explained I was on my lunch break and I simply couldn’t wait in line for a 2nd time. After waiting 45 more minutes in line I finally get so called help from the lady working the front desk. Believe it or not her customer service was even worse than the young lady that I spoke to 45 minutes earlier. This lady seemed like she was irritated I wanted to return the vehicle due to safety issues because of her demeanor. Now, I rented a full size car , 4 door sedan Honda accord and now I’m being to I can only get a Toyota truck with a full cad in the back. I definitely don’t feel comfortable driving a truck nor did I request or reserve a truck. Mind you, I see at least 30 full size cars on the lot. So, I asked the lady to locate a car for me. The lady walked away and never returned to help me leaving me with the unsafe vehicle. I would NEVER RENT A VEHICLE FROM THIS LOCATION AGAIN NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND ANYONE ELSE TO RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. I NEVER EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE THAT EVER!!!!”

The location above does not answer calls, return calls, or respond to emails. DON'T GO THERE OR ARE IN A SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCE. They do not "treat you like family".
Our vehicle unexpectedly broke down on HWY 6 going into College Station on the way to my sons 7 on 7 State Tournament. My wife and I were frantic trying to organize a tow with our insurance (we live 2 hours away), as well as in a hurry to make it to my sons next game. Because we volunteered to bring fruits and waters to the tournament, which our Tahoe can carry, we needed to rent a vehicle that could carry coolers and a canopy. Vehicle was rented at 9:49am.
We ended up renting a Jeep Gladiator. When we received the rental agreement via email, it was for $1600. Michael, the helpful Enterprise guy, said that we could return the vehicle sooner and the fees would be adjusted.
When we got home at 5pm, I began calling our insurance and warranty to see what all would be covered. Well, apparently GM Solutions said that they would only cover 40/day for a rental. I then called our insurance, and also emailed Enterprise at 5:11pm at the "if you need support with your rental agreement email here" email address and told them our plans to return the vehicle on Friday with her phone number and instructions to call her if need be. At 5:20 We then called Wharton, TX location and followed all the prompts to which we were finally able to speak to a rep at which we were told to call THIS College Station location to update them so they could make adjustments. We then called THIS branch at 5:28 to tell them that we basically we are returning it ASAP please adjust our reservation, please HELP US.
---NO ONE ANSWERED---- It rang 12 times until my wife hung up to drive the Jeep to Wharton (our drop location).
We filled up the Jeep, and left it parked at the Wharton location. I took a picture and emailed Michael at his email address telling him, it is returned, time stamp on email 5:42, please call if you need to.
NO ONE CALLED or EMAILED.
According the hours on the door, they closed at 5:30 on Fridays, and on Saturdays 9am-1pm. Yet no one called us on Saturday. Or responded to our emails. We spent Saturday and Sunday thinking that they'll adjust the time, we spent the weekend relying on what Enterprise said.
On Monday, the manager at the branch above was chipper in informing us that the charges would not be adjusted to reflect the Friday drop off. And basically, not to bother calling customer service or anything because NOTHING WILL BE DONE. That is what she said.
I spent has spent 2 hours on the phone with Enterprise customer services.
Yesterday, Monday, I was told that these situations happen and they almost always get adjusted, don't worry, your circumstance is not normal.
Today, Tuesday, THIS location said no adjustments. The AREA MANAGER does not do it. And customer service sent her to the "escalations department" where she was told that she could speak to the Area Manager. I was given the phone number to THIS LOCATION and was told that the name of the AREA MANAGER was not available for him to see. I called this location 3 times. NO ONE ANSWERED. I then called Enterprise to file a complaint.
To the people that work at the COLLEGE STATION LOCATION off of HWY 6, to the Area Manager- You made $1600 off of me. But, you could have done the right thing and made an honest $400-$600.
I hope you are happy with the +/- $1200 that you took from our family in our time when we needed help. I hope you are satisfied with the level of communication that occurred from your employees in making this +/- $1200. Although you are located in Aggie Land, it's safe to say that you do not have Aggie Values (Aggies do not lie, cheat, or steal; nor they tolerate those that do); and you do not follow the values of Jack Taylor.”
“The most unprofessional encounter was at the Darby PA branch. The Manager Sidney Johnson refused to let me get a car . He was insisting that I leave and would not get a vehicle from his location . I had to ask to speak with the Regional Manager.
Mr. Johnson should be asked to participate in some form of remedial manager training . Arrogance will get him nowhere”
“We loved the car we had and everything, but we had the rental because our car was being fixed and the company that was fixing it was handling all the repairs and rental of the car. Enterprise told us they don’t usually take payment from the company that damaged my car. I told them that the place fixing my car was handling everything. So off I went when I returned the car. This was in February and now it’s July and without any warning they charged me for the rental. With the large amount it was and without any warnings that they were going to do that, checking account is being overdrawn because they didn’t tell us that it wasn’t paid 5 months ago and took it upon themselves to just take the money with out notice. Would not have been an issue if they had contacted us to tell us it never got paid, instead of taking the money without warning.”
“This is the worst customer service I have ever seen!!!! They wouldn't take a payment with my pay now card, I asked them if they could bring me to the bank which is right down the street and they said no, I couldn't even get them to come and pick me up from my home to get me here. I have never seen so much BS before my life!!!”
“Don’t rent there, office in brockton N Main Street are so bad, lost of time, bad energy there. I don’t know if this Enterprise know what business is. When you go there everything every words change/ no car/ never ready. It was my first time and thanks God my last. They need to close this place. Staff argued with staff and customers. You book for a car a 12pm when you call early to see if I can pick it up at 10am. They say yes. When you got there they said: that they already rent the car. Now I have to wait so they can find me another car…No pick up. They lie about giving short ride. They close on Sunday I told them I might return the car either on Sunday or Monday, they told me ok if Monday it’s gonna be an extra day: I drop Off car on Monday at 10am. They guy told me that he don’t feel comfortable giving me a car because I hold the car for an extra day…
Stay away of those, if you got important things and have to be on time: DON’T GO THERE.”
