Bought a £550 laptop 2 years ago for my son's GCSE years. Laptop already faulty and HP want £400 to fix! Customer Service appalling - rude and unhelpful. Do not buy a HP product. Wished I'd read up on their reviews first. You will regret your purchase. When children are already struggling with GCSE's, I'd have hoped for more support. Shame on HP!

I bought a new envy6032 printer. Nightmare to set up would not connect to Web service and it came with a so called 5month ink supply that should register automatically. Well should is the word. Now had to provide proof to hp that this was the case. Had to provide photo if their box and photo of the leaflet supplied in the box. Still don't know if I get this. So far spent 72 us hours trying to get printer etc working ad it should. Hate to think what a novice would do. Probably chuck the product under the nearest bus. Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

I would not recommend HP because of the incompetence in handling a return. I ordered a laptop, when it arrived it didn't work so I arranged for it to be returned, this was fairly simple and the person on the phone tried some checks to make sure it was broken. On that call I had said I wasn’t at the original address it had been sent to and that they needed to pick it up at a different address which I gave to them. The next day a collection had been scheduled for the original address. I then called the help desk back who said it was with the post sales team and there was no number only an email address for. I then looked online and there was a phone number, either the help desk need more training or just lie. I then called the post sales team and Nathan took the new address and assured me it would be collected from there. A couple of days later I got an email saying it would be collected from the original address. I then had to call the post sales team again to find Nathan had made a note of the new address but had done nothing to actually get the laptop collected from there. Josh who told me this then said he would email the courier to see which address it was being picked up from and would let me know in a couple of hours. As I had taken a day off for the collection waiting a couple of hours to find out the address was wrong would have been ridiculous and if HP think that is a good level of service then they are very wrong. I told Josh that I had made it clear where the collection would be from and that it had to be done that day. Josh then hung up on me. I called straight back and Molly answered. She then called the courier and confirmed they were going to the wrong address and then arranged for a label to be sent to me so I could drop the Laptop off at a post office (This would be a better solution in the first place and save people having to wait for a collection). Molly then said that she had looked at sending a replacement laptop but that was the end of the line so couldn’t be replaced. Neither of the previous people I had talked to had told me that. So sending faulty stock was bad enough but 2 out of 3 people I spoke to in the post sales team were so bad that I would now advise anyone to avoid HP.

How does this awful company continue to trade??Purchased an HP Pavillion laptop in December 2019. Had one issue a few months later that I had dealt with. Recently the bezel and hinges were coming away from the screen. I spoke to a local computer engineer who said this is a common problem with HP Pavilions due to poor, cheap construction and will be covered under the warranty. Spoke to a very rude 'customer relations advisor' who said HP would not cover this repair, but they would be willing to offer me a discounted repair charge of £177!! This damage simply occured from opening and closing my laptop in the normal course of events. I would seriously advise anyone thinking about buying an HP laptop to look at other brands.

During my life I bought two incredible hp laptops and they both were efficient but the only thing that I would like to see it in the computers is to make them have longer age life

The product HP SCEO16670633 Printer arrived really quickly. After that it all went down hill! Phoned HP, with regard to an issue relating to the printer. waited an hour for someone to answer the phone. Not trained for this sort of help! Can't put me through to a manager, cant give a manager name or email address (a breach of privacy!) Spoke to 2nd customer support, who was going to email a manager. No response. Unless you are purchasing a unit, you wait for an hour, and then the phone line goes dead! This was on Friday, it is how Wednesday and still no response! There are lots of call centre staff, who are unable to transfer a call to a manager, no phone number available for a manager. They must have so much money, they don't care about the customers. What a shame! Going to buy a Zerox!

Instant Ink is an absolute disgrace. Been paying for a year and had hardly printed anything, despite paying £3:50 a month so cancelled it. My cartridges have been remotely disabled. How wasteful is that?! I cannot stomach giving HP any more money, so I'm out!

I am a business owner and My HP spectre laptop was sent off for repair - Battery fault had caused the Charging circuit to blow a fuse with a burning smell coming( Fire risk) from the Power connector in the laptop. Sent it off expecting repair only to find the battery had been changed without being tested properly. Got it back it still didnt charge or work off battery power - sent in back on their 3-7 day service warranty - useless - tomorrow will be the 8th day and I still dont know when I'm getting the laptop back because of a "Parts Shortage" they say - Well as a small business owner I rely on the laptop to work - I cannot do that work because they have failed their service level agreement. Very poor - AVOID HP if you want reliability - product - service or repair.

I bought an expensive HP Pavilion in March and it keeps crashing. It has already been back for repair twice and is clearly not fit for purpose. Nobody at HP cares. Nobody with any authority to do anything ever answers the phone or email. I am constantly promised that it will be referred up but nothing happens. I have been battling this for five months!! Never buy an HP laptop!

This is my second HP laptop I would never ever recommend any HP products to anyone. When I bought my first laptop it seemed like a great buy, after a few years I had to buy a new computer to use windows 10. My experience of this new laptop is it has to be the worst on the market. I am now considering throwing this computer away and purchasing a new one even though this laptop is only 5 months old. It is absolute JUNK. Totally unreliable forever updating and then not allowing me to log in and use. Unable to watch videos nor access my photos. Please do not waste your money on any HP product.

In the last 2 years I have purchased an HP printer, HP Desktop Pavilion and 2 Laptops. I have always purchased HP printers and done so for many years and they have always been great purchases. However, HP laptops and desktops leave a great deal to be desired. The first HP laptop I had went back for repair at least twice in the first 12 months but the 2nd one has been back 3 or 4 times. 3 times because the hinges keep breaking and once for a Hard Drive problem. It is with HP at the moment for yet another repair of the hinges. Added to this the screen went haywire and was showing two sets of images which made it impossible to navigate the laptop. I asked HP for help and they said it needed a new screen but they accepted no responsibility for this even though it was on extended warranty but they would repair it for £320. The laptop only cost me £347. I eventually got it repaired via a local repair centre for £92. As, in my opinion this laptop is not fit for purpose I have asked on more than one occasion for either a refund or replacement. These requests have been ignored. I have been informed that this latest repair is likely to take approximately 2 months while the other took about 10 days. Having owned computers since the very first Sinclair ZX81 and several laptops and desktops I do know how to handle them so there must be a major flaw on the hinges for them to break so often. The HP desktop I have has had numerous sound problems too.

DONT BUY AND HP! I just purchased a new printer for £300, and admitted they 'forgot' to pack the cartridges with it. They refused to send out news ones! I'm now stuck with a printer with no ink.

I will never buy any HP product, and I will never make a good recommendation about hp to anybody. You scam people; this is what you are doing. After so many years as a loyal customer, this is the way you have treaty me. I paid for a service that I will never be able to use because you suck and you are big scammers. Back in November last year I need to upgrade my laptop, so I called your customer service to ask if you can provide this (paid) service, but your answer was No (not very helpful). But you advise me to do it by myself. That was easy and came with zero risks. And I did it, and it worked. So all went well till this month that for reasons that I still not figure out yet the laptop stop to work. I believe there is a problem with the battery (cause it's deformed up in three points) or maybe is the firmware (as I said still trying to figure out). Anyway, I contacted you, and I have been denied the right to repair (incl in the three year Care pack that I paid) because " I PREVIOUSLY dismantle (under your instruction) my laptop, so the engineer will not take responsibility for that". This is a super mega scam. Why didn't the engineer in November highlight this little clause? Why nobody sends me an email highlighting the fact that upgrading my laptop = lose the right to repair? Why on earth? You got all this info too. You have all the emails and voice calls recorded. You do know very well that what I am said is not false. You should at least Informed me in the first place that I will lose the extended guarantee if I was to upgrade the laptop. Instead, you scammed me, and I will make sure that everybody online knows about you. And I hope nobody will ever spend a penny with you.

If I could give a 0 (zero) that's what I would give. Having spent over £1,000 on a laptop within two months the anodized painting on the laptop has tarnished on the lid. This is because the envy 360 laptop, has very sharp edges and clearly any paint would be seen in these areas. I write this with support they said they would call me next day they didn't, I called them they said send me some photographs I did they were supposed to call me back by next day they didn't, I called them they said at the time when it looks like a scratch it wasn't. and I explained since the covid-19 lock down the laptop hasn't even left my lounge. I was told I would be called next day I wasn't. I call them the overseas operator said I've been told the day before it was a chargeable repair I wasn't. I also asked them to go back over there recording calls because they're operator was lying. he then went away and after 15-minutes came back to say it looks like damage, "it isn't", he then suggested that the laptop be taken back for investigation this may take 2/ 3-weeks, they would then decide if it was a scratch and charged me for a new aluminium. He was not prepared to advise potential cost, I had to speak to a new team. Explain this unacceptable as it is very likely they would make a decision in their own favour and charged with several hundred pounds, he said I could raise a post sales but he was wrong because post-sales said it was 2 months not 30 days as per their policy. I also said liver send it to suppose sales can I also make a complaint he advised no I can't make a complaint if I speak to another department. I currently have to other laptops and printer from HP. When they work it's fine when you want support it's terrible. not sure why I wasted money on a 3-year warranty which is no good. Suggest Acer as a company were much better. Sent my complaint to the CEO but as you expect no response even to acknowledge my email. Best avoid this company if you can.

Avoid at all costs I've bought a laptop which turned out to be faulty. I called support and they got me to reinstall everything including Windows 10 and all the drivers, and after 3 hours on the phone, the HP support person decided to have the laptop replaced for me. They collected the laptop 2 days later and HP went silent for weeks. I must have sent 15 emails and a few phone calls chasing my replacement laptop only to be told that this model has been discontinued and I would receive a refund. To my surprise, I found the laptop advertised on their website with an increased price after Covid19. Now I've been told by HP that they have to collect the laptop to get the refund and although they've already collected it for replacement, I have the receipt to prove it, the refund is a different process and department and looks like they can't process my refund. What a shambles! My only route now is the office of fair trading

Bought an OfficeJet printer end of 2019 that never worked well. Months later and after many attempts to Support I asked the printer to be replaced. It was replaced days later with the warning: keep your accessories, cables, cartridges etc. Received a new printer and that is when my real problems began. Within this period I signed for Instant Ink, a monthly program that allows you to print a number of copies for a fair price. As my first printer didn't work at all, I cancelled the program, why pay a monthly fee for no printer? The new printer came without cartridges. I opened the box and right away installed the cartridges that I had from the previous printers and... The printer displays a message: "cartridges can only be used in printer that initially installed it". These cartridges had 5 copies total. Contact the Support again (this was the 12th time in 2 weeks) and explained what was happening. The attendant told me I needed to print an information page from the printer that showed the registration number. But I could't print anything because it was blocked even for resigning to the Instant Ink program. I should buy new cartridges (16 euros for the black and 29 euros for the color) just to print this page and retrieve the registration number. What has become this printing business? Isn't enough pay absurd prices for cartridges and be able to print like 30 copies for cartridge? What happened to Customer Service? What is this Virtual Chat other than a waste of time? Do you folks at HP realize how pathetic is all this? I tell you this, this Instant Ink is pretty fair, if it would work. I am an old customer from HP since my calculator HP48 at the 80's but I will never again buy anything from you and I hope who is reading this take my words seriously and avoid problems. Printing should be an amazing thing but you turned it into hell.

Ordered a laptop on Black Friday. Went to Best Buy a couple hours later and my wife decided she didn't like it. Spent a ridiculous hour on hold and talking to reps to cancel the order. 10 days later...no refund...no emails with updates. I chatted with their support team and they say that it was being built and couldn't be cancelled and can't be cancelled and will be mailed in 3 days. They still refuse to cancel the order and it hasn't even shipped yet. Then I told them "What if I refuse delivery, will I get a refund" and they said they'll charge me a 15% restocking fee! HP is a scam. Do not buy from them!!
