OMG. Could IKEA just get their stuff together!!!!! I have been trying to order something for 6 days now for click and pick up but they are only taking so many orders at a time, so you can't place your order. Why can't they take your order and then email you when your order will be ready. So, ok I will place the order and get it shipped. That won't work either because something is out of stock but they don't tell you what item. Ok, so I the call 800 number but they are no longer taking calls because they are sooooo busy! Really! IKEA GET YOUR CUSTOMERS SERVICE IN ORDER!! I would give you a zero but that is not an option unfortunately ;(

I ordered boxes they never came. Order can’t be tracked due to system error and customer service line is not open due to covid. SERIOUSLY ikea?

Worst experience ever. DO NOT BUY HERE EVER OR AT LEAST NOT DURING COVID-19. You won't be able to exchange/return items (even if they delivered the wrong thing) and you will be stock with them until who knows when!!! I placed an order online, I was forced to pay expedited delivery fee because it was the only option available (pick wasn't available and regular delivery wasn't available). Then when they delivered the item, the guy couldn't even ring my doorbell to let me know he arrived even though it was raining and he knew I was at home because he called when he was in route. If is not because I looked at the window and see the truck leaving I wouldn't know. I ran out and told the driver why he couldn't ring the doorbell and he played the "I don't understand card," so Ok I spoke with him in Spanish then to make myself very clear but he didn't care regardless. Then Ikea has a partnership with taskrabbit to put items together but they are not responsible of any fees or issues. Now I also wasted my money because when the guy came, it ended up not only that I was missing the legs of the item that I paid extra for, they got me mix parts so I couldn't put it together. I called the delivery team and they said they are not responsible for this. On top of that, trying to call Ikea is horrible. I called for 3 hours straight but they weren't taking calls. Finally I was placed on hold, explained my issue but they can't do anything other than filling a claim for you. Another waste of time. Then, today I got an email from them saying they can't schedule pick up or returns until Ikea open back up. This is insane. I don't have space at my place to just have useless things sitting around. I should be able to return the item so that I can either get my money back and buy an the item some place else, or be able to exchange it. This is very unprofessional. I am very dissapointed and will never ever again purchase something from Ikea.

In the same situation that everyone else has said! My first time ordering ikea online, on April 18. Got an email saying my order would be delivered by May 13. Nothing has showed up and can not get any info about my order/tracking. Tried calling customer service and the recorded message says “we’ve hit max calls today, try again tomorrow.” Which I’ve tried day after day to get ahold of anyone. It would just be nice to at least get an email about the pandemic slowing down time, or anything!!

Wish I could give less than one star. Our experience is like everyone else’s. No way of getting a hold of anyone via email or calling the customer service line. Understandably, these are unprecedented times, but communication with your customers is just basic training and sucesss for any company. Need better updates when “tracking order”. ANY updates would be greatly appreciated. Seriously disappointed that GREAT customer service has never been a strong principle and it shows now more than ever.

This company can not possible read these rating 1.2 of 5 and feel like you are "sorry it was a bad experience". While I have enjoyed some of the products, I have never dealt with such a convoluted customer experience. The website and customer service is SO circular, UN user friendly, frustrating and uninformative. There are dead ends and loops that take you nowhere. Whoever is at the helm of customer experience needs to go.

Very bad service. Please only accept the orders you can deliver. Stop acting in a dodgy way. Also, what happens with IKEA in France is horrible. Spying on costumers and staff... very bad. I hope you are not doing the same in UK. I lost plenty of on your web site looking for items. But wend I went to pay to my surprise you do not deliver a lot of them in my area. We could have told me this before.

My experience is the same as everyone else here... Terrible! I ordered a bookshelf and was told that it would take a minimum of 6 weeks. It has been 8 weeks now and since, I've had no updates. You can't contact customer service either. They immediately charge you and there's no way you can cancel your order and no way of knowing what's going on with your order. Their click and collect service is also constantly unavailable. It's simply pathetic

Had to ask to cancel my online order that I placed a month ago, I have no idea where my order is or when it will be delivered. I originally got an "estimated delivery" of May 10th... two weeks later and I have no idea where it is or the status. I called IKEA and they couldn't tell me anything, told me to look online. Online tells me nothing doesn't even show I placed an order. Thankfully I have an email with my order number. I will never order anything from IKEA ever again. They are sure making a killing off of cancellations since they don't refund delivery fees, $49 from me for do nothing at all.

I ordered furniture with the expected delivery date of 5/20/2020 set by IKEA, the order didn't show up, so I went to track my order and it said it was cancelled however I was still charged. So I called customer service, waited on hold for literally 3 hours, got someone on the phone to check what happened and after giving them my order number, they put me back on hold for another 45 minutes and disconnected the phone! I called again, waited another 2 hours and the person who answered just automatically hung up!! I can't get ahold of anyone, Ive called continuously throughout the day and no one is willing to help. IKEA and their customer service line is absolute trash. I understand there is a pandemic, but the absolute lack and refusal to help their customers is just maddening. I still do not have a resolution to my issue, no furniture and no refund.

Ordered over a month ago. Was told due to covid, order wouldn’t be received for a month- fine, totally understand. What i don’t understand is why I can’t get get an update on status via the website, can’t send an email, can’t get a hold of anyone on the phone. They have taken my money and provides zero in return. It is not unreasonable to expect communication about an order- even if it is to tell be it is delayed. Otherwise I’m assuming you’ve basically stolen my money. This is completely unacceptable

My experience is the same as everyone’s below: ordered a bookcase, confirmed receipt emailed to me, delivery date promised, item not delivered. Customer service cannot be contacted. Ikea should simply stop taking orders that it doesn’t plan on filling. This company is scamming people!

I ordered items to be delivered on 4/16/2020. The charge posted to my credit card on 4/17/2020. After completing the order they said delivery to be 5/19/2020. Really,why not tell me before completing the transaction the delivery would take over a month. On 5/18/2020 no word from IKEA. Multiple phone calls to IKEA 5/18-5/21/2020, “we are unable to take your call”. Email sent to IKEA to cancel order per their website instruction, no response. On 5/21/2020 disputed the charge on credit card. Maybe that will get their attention. AWFUL service. Why can’t a huge, global corporation get it together to deliver goodsin a timely fashion and provide customer service. Never again!!! BEWARE! HAVE YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY DISPUTE THE CHARGES!!!

I was trying to buy an item online since the stores in BC are closed. Upon check out i've chosen pick up but couldn't complete the transaction, it just was not working! tried to call provided number but the line was either busy or dropping. Chat option didn't work due to long queue Gave up after trying half an hour. If You hear IKEA complaining about drop in sales tel them to shove it! The company laid of thousands of workers but can not organize online services. Hopefully our Government won't give them helping hand because they have a lousy CEO and such!

Ordering the product on line was simple, payment was taken immediately and a delivery slot provided. The delivery day came and went. Since then nothing not a whisper. No possible form of contact to see if the product will ever be delivered. Incidentally the delivery cost for a £40 window blind was £29.95. Steer clear of IKEA.

Same issue, ordered $400 worth, delivery was scheduled today between 9am and 12pm. Its 4:30, I'm still sitting here so I go online to check the status and it says preparing order ( which is the process before they pick the items and load) but I had already received an email the said they were " picking the order". Hmmm, the status now is back to the beginning? I called customer service- not taking calls but go online if you have to reschedule. I go online and the only option available is to cancel your order. Meanwhile, I don't know when or if my order is coming and they have taken the money and not communicated ANYTHING TO ME - NO UPDATE OF STATUS - NOTHING!!!

I have never experienced something like this before! I wish I had read all of the reviews here beforehand! Then I would have saved myself a lot of trouble! the worst service I have ever experienced! I am really very understanding at the moment, but what was pulled off with me today is outrageous! My order should be delivered today (350 £) + 30 £ delivery costs, the driver called me this morning at 6:44 a.m. and told me he will arrive in the next hour. Shortly after 7 a.m. I recognized the driver in front of our gate, he did not Ring the bell, I opened the gate so that he could drive to the courtyard, I stood on the balcony to tell him he could just put the delivery in front of the door, my husband had taken holiday extra today, to accept the package, the moment when the courier saw that the gate was opened, he drove away. 40 minutes later I got the message that the delivery could not be delivered. seriously! To calls and SMS he did not respond. I then turned to customer service at 9 a.m. and that outraged everything! The first time I was queueing 1 hour, to thrown out of the Chat, when I explained everything. The second time I was in the queue for 2 hours!!!! And was thrown out of the Chat, after the customer Service after I was informed that if I no longer want the order I would have to wait 14 days for my refund or a new delivery could be booked for next week. I was not enthusiastic about it, then it was written to me that the query was resolved and I would be thrown out of the chat again. with the note that everything has been clarified and the new delivery date is booked for me! I had clearly said that I don't want a new appointment and because it was too uncomfortable I was simply kicked out of the chat ?! I printed both Chats and officially complained. I have never had such insolence, who deals with his customers in this way, lost me as a customer from now. I will never buy anything from ikea again. a shame because I think like almost everyone I bought there a lot, but this bevavio, I do not Support!

I wish there is a 0 star option, I ordered items from IKEAUAE on 4th of April and schedued for delivery due on 16th of April then changed to 21st then 28th then 5th of may them 7th of may then 15th of may and yet still not delivered. I called, I emailed, I facebooked, Instagramed and tweeted IKEA but all in vain and they didn't even bother to call back. Why are they still selling online and didn't close till they deliver all pending orders and solve their issues ? I registered a complain at DED Consumer protection and unfortionately IKEA isn't responding even to them. they take your money, no delivery and i wouldnt dare to ask for a refund after reading the 100's of reviews and social media comments about people still waiting for their refund from more than 2 months.

I am so frustrated reading all these reviews, wish I would have read these before I spent almost $300 on an order I have received no information on. I placed an order on 4/27, and was told my “estimated delivery date” was today, 5/19. I waited all day hoping for items that never came. You call and get no one, and I feel I have no choice but to dispute my charge through my credit card. I loved all the items so much and am truly disappointed with this whole experience.

I ordered curtains online and waited over a month to receive them just to realize I received baskets and now can NOT get anyone on the phone, email and ALL stores and customer service are closed! I paid over $200 for curtains that I need for privacy and have no way to get my correct order!! I have loved shopping here but will sincerely NEVER order online again.
