Fascist and discriminating company. Vile and aggressive to anyone who cannot wear a mask. I was raped and gagged and cannot wear a mask. They want me to wear a green bracelet and made me tell them this. It is private and really hard to have to say this. Awful!!!!

I am rating Ikea as Poor due to their customer service. I specifically phoned to discuss the delivery of some furniture to my 92 year old Mother-in-Law who is moving into a 1st floor apartment & wanted to confirm that the delivery would be OK as there are 14 straight steps to her apartment. I was advised that they could not guarantee delivery and the driver would make a Health & Safety assessment at the point of delivery. When asked for a copy of the criteria I was advised that they didn't have this and it was 'down to the driver'. I then asked how a 92 year old lady was potentially going to have to move the delivery from the bottom of the stairs they could not answer. It will be interesting to see what occurs when the delivery is made, or not as other companies have delivered such items as fridge freezers with no problem!

i've ordered from Ikea twice. Always damaged goods or missing parts. Trying to get a refund is a 5-hour ordeal. They transfer endlessly, intentionally disconnect, wait times are ridiculous. It takes 6 weeks to receive a credit. If you must, go to the store so you know what you are getting. They are not set up to service and deliver to customers.

Bought the "Billy" bookshelf in dark brown about a year ago, and it's been slowly falling apart since then. The back panel separated, and the shelf started leaning sideways a few months ago. Lower shelf finally gave out: the rivets that held up the shelf had snapped clean off. I have heavy books, but I rarely move them around and it's a low traffic unit. I knew buying the shelf that it wouldn't last forever, in fact I knew I probably wouldn't be able to move it after it was put together and installed. The materials are cheap, and when you construct the shelf it's obvious that you won't be taking it apart (unless it's to the dump). I'm disappointed, however, that it felt apart so quickly--it was a good size for the space. I'm writing a review here because the IKEA website doesn't seem to accept reviews unless you bought the item under your account--and I can't help but be suspicious of the numerous positive reviews regarding this product.

Worst customer service ever. No one cares. Their solutions to resolve our situation is a canned answer and doesn’t work.

Firstly, I take exception to the ridiculously long phone queues, seems thirty minutes or more is par for the course. Secondly, that earsplitting din on hold would annoy even the most placid person. A number of other retailers do this, notably JB HiFi and a couple of sporting footwear companies. It most definitely does not appeal to me, in fact I have a habit of informing staff I will not tolerate disco music at dangerous volume, and promptly leave the store. Thirdly, when I placed a click and collect order, I had no way of knowing that a personal emergency would make it impossible for me to collect the items on the allocated day. When I requested a different day I was told that cannot be done, I'd need to cancel the order and create a new one. The staffer to whome I spoke was totally inflexible, his attitude was that customers must follow all Ikea rules. Needless to say, no other retailer would dare treat a long term customer with such disrespect. I see this is the epitome of ignorance and arrogance, and I certainly won't be recommending Ikea to anyone in the future. In times past I had been a regular customer and had recommended Ikea to many associates, and my immediate thought was that the staffer in question was having a bad day. On checking a number of review websites both in Australia and internationally however, I discovered that the name of Ikea is universally mud. Presumably the recent change of management has brought with it a desire to completely destroy everything that was once commendable about Ikea.

Absolutely the worst shopping experience of any kind I have ever had. I will never again do business with this company. Waited over two months and still did not have over half of our kitchen items. My wife and I are 70 years old and when we get the items (about half) that they had in stock they pushed us out the door at 9:15 pm with four flat carts full of about 1,000 lbs of merchandise which we had to load on our rented van by ourselves. After another month we gave up on the rest of the order and rented the van to return the items for refund. Again we were responsible for unloading the items. During the many phone calls over this period of time our average hold time was 45 minutes. During the refund process the amount of the refund didn't equal the amount of the purchase. I had to sit down and go through the order and check off over 150 items. They failed to scan 5 items which accounted for the difference. We did not get an apology. I thought it was because of COVID-19 but I ended up ordering from another company in my hometown. We got a better quality cabinet for the same price and we had them in three weeks.

Worst shopping experience ever!!!! I researched the product I wanted on the website and was told they had 30 of them. I don't know why, but I wasn't a;;owed to purchase it online and then go pick it up. In any event, I decided to take the 2 hour round trip to get the item. When I got there I had the Row # and Bin # in hand, but it didn't say what section, so I went through three different sections which are all like mazes that you can't leave until you've been taken through the entire section. I spent about an hour until I found the Row/Bin I was looking for in the fourth section I went to, which was Warehouse. Signage and assistance are extremely poor to nonexistent. When I finally got to where the item was supposed to be there were none in the bin, with about 4 other people there looking for the same item. I finally found an Info desk and was told if it was't in the Bin, it would not be stocked until the next day. What a horrible experience!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

The customer service at Ikea is terrible. I am not in the habit of writing bad reviews! I place an order with the help of an agent and the order was accepted. later I got a message that my card was refused. My credit card company said they had no record of the transaction. I called again and went through the whole process and this time asked the Rep to be with me on the phone and sure enough I got a second message. Then the Rep tells me after two plus hours on the phone that this problem has been happening a lot this past week. So I asked for someone from their Resolution desk. She told me to wait for three days and try again and if I have the same problem to try again with a different card three days from then. When I explained that that was not a very good solution - she told me that I was not forced to shop at Ikea and I could take my business elsewhere. That is what I did!

On our first visit after driving 2 hours to get there we were sold cabinets that had been discontinued. After another 2 hour drive we had straightened out that issue but we’re told we had to come back again once we received our order to return one of the original cabinets. Finally we get a message saying our order would arrive on Monday the 24th, however we only received half the order. We were then given 2 more delivery dates that did not show up, we called and were told we need to contact the shipping company. The shipping company said they never picked up that order. We called IKEA again and were told we would get a call back with a new delivery date, 5 days later no call and on the web sight it said the order was canceled. So another 129 mile trip to Charlotte was told by the kitchen design manager Sam they had it in stock and would take care of it rite now. Finally problem solved, nope. Sam brought the order to me I asked is everything here he assured me it was. My stupid mistake was not checking it, when I got home and brought the order into the house there were 3 items missing. I have been lied to several times by people in the store as well as by customer service. Save yourself the grief and go someplace else! I will be returning the entire order.

I promised not to buy from Ikea anymore. I had to return a product, so I checked the policy on the website, which says you are eligible for a return up to one year. I called customer service twice to make sure that I will get the refund on my credit card. Within one week of the delivery, I returned the product. They did not refund it and said the only way is to get a refund by an IKEA gift card. I accepted, but again it took about 20 days to get the gift card. I had moved to a new place with no furniture, and I had to postpone everything just because they are not committed to what they said.

Looks like a scam. Ordered a flottebo sofa online. Only 2 parts were delivered. For the rest of my order no one can give any even approximate estimations. Also I don't know how to return the parts I already have. Customer service is terrible. No one can help. Absolutely. Online help just ask you to call their number.

Took table back to IKEA using their Buy back scheme. Table was immaculate, never used as too big. Not a Mark, not a scratch. The female employee decided, without even examining the table that it was not in a as new condition but in a good condition this lowered its value. It is impossible to make any assessment without examination. Yet the female employee made her decision without any examination whatsoever. I do not recommend this service and I won’t be using again. .

I bought a sofa from the Cardiff store this week, a really nice yellow landskrona. The actual sofa is amazing, and the people in store were so helpful that I’m a bit sad to have to put a 1* review. But on delivery, the sofa turned up completely ruined. They warn you beforehand that there may be a few nicks but I wasn’t expecting something that made the sofa look like it had come from a skip. I’d recommend the Cardiff store as they’re really great in there - just don’t use the awful third party delivery service they offer!!

It's natural to wait too long, and waiting for a return turn via text or app doesn't work either. I don’t know what I made this for confusing They don't work according to the manuals they write.

Terrible experience with the delivery service Ordered a couch worth $700. Received a message in the morning saying that it should be delivered between 11am-3pm. Waited the entire day to know that the delivery failed at 7:30pm. Tried calling IKEA customer service multiple times during the work hours to track the status but nobody to answer. I don’t know who to get in touch with or what to do about this. Terrible experience!

Do not buy Utlangan outdoor decking, it warps after it’s installed, and it happened in less than a week! I posted a bad review about it and they asked me to bring it in to have quality checked. Customer service told me it’s from water exposure (there was no water exposure) or sun exposure (this happened, it got up to 80 deg outside). I installed this decking over a perfectly good, level concrete patio for a more appealing look. Soooo, they make outdoor decking that can’t be outdoors 😡😡😡 And at $3.50/sq ft it’s not worth the hassle!
