AVOID AT ALL COSTS. My Ebay parcel went damaged. How, it is beyond me. It was overly well wrapped. I looked up for the email from Packlink to find any evidence of correspondence and couldn't find any. Only PayPal receipt for the payment transaction. Yet to open refund procedure a Packlink ref number was needed. So they don't send you any email with the required ref number or confirmation of the transaction. The only place the number figures on is on the label stuck to the package. Eventually, I managed to find the label page on my browser's History tab, and was able to start the claim. Only to hear that the two photos of the damages to the content of the parcel which were sent to me by the purchaser are not enough and that they require images from the outside the parcel. Look, those two images were enough for the purchaser and me, for Ebay to require a refund from me to the purchaser, but not enough for the Packlink the official partner of Ebay to issue me the refund, and next to the extra insurance paid on the full amount £152.00. Who is taking pictures of parcels when sending them, and now it was too late to ask the purchaser for more photos, he wouldn't keep the packaging, who does. I was also told that my claim falls outside 7 days window given by the Packlink for the damaged good opening procedure. Hey, 7 days!!! Can you believe it? How easy is to cross that timeframe bearing in mind the procedure of refund to the Ebay purchaser has to be finished before the claim to the shipper, as it is stated on Ebay. Packlink is a complete con company. Their business logistic is completely optimized to non-transparency, to conceal, misguide, leave you short of information, to set up so many traps, ... all in so dishonest way of creating more revenue. They are unapproachable, their customer service doesn't exist. They are real shame and I really wonder once out of the office how can their employee face people on the street at all. Scums like their business is. AVOID.

AVOID at all costs. Packlink will do anything to avoid paying compensation for the damage to the contents of your parcel. After 7 weeks, they have finally asked for photographs of the outside and internal packaging of the parcel, of course the recipient has destroyed it. They are refusing to refund. Again, AVOID at all costs.

Avoid this company! Ebay should definitely change it!! They are a nightmare to contact and you can’t really speak with a person to solve your problem. I used Packlink a few times and 2 of my packages has been damaged. Their home collecting service basically doesn’t exist either…since it never worked and you end up going to drop off your parcel… They don’t take care of the parcel and they are using Hermes .. so you are going around trying to contact someone from Hermes to Packlink. And after 3 weeks of emails and non sense I ended up with nothing! My product is still damaged and no money back!!!! This was just a waste of time and energy! Worst service ever!!!!

They have offered a home collecting service however more than 40% of my packages I have been forced deliver on my own to drop off point because the courier never arrived! I was surprised when after 7 weeks Packlink has charged me due to the parcel's overweight and oversize! As I see this is a very common practice! They are scammers because I always check my weight and dimensions.I have used in the past Hermes, UPS and DPD directly and never ever had the same problems! They have no evidence and proof that my parcels were oversized and overweighted! If you use their service unfortunately the direct debit is set up automatically so I could only closed it straightaway to avoid the situation that they again steal money from my account!. AVOID AVOID THIS SCAMMERS!

Do not use them! All they do is use Hermes and when the item arrives damaged, they drag you through a ton of forms and emails delaying the payout of compensation (for which you did pay extra). Hermes does not want to deal with it as it was purchased via Packlink on eBay. 1 month later I still didn’t have the compensation paid for what looks like a pierced parcel (with a hole on one side and straight through on another making a kebab of a pc tower!) and they informed me it might take another 30 days! On different occasions of our correspondence they claimed not receiving my emails (which I do have in ‘sent’ folder); it is impossible to call them so you have to go via chat to get an update, chat agent says the other designated agent deals with my case and any other agents can’t help me...but you can’t get the agent you need to speak to..... it is a proper circus of a customer service, they have several departments dealing with claims and verifying things, which of course takes a lot of time, firms and I suspect costs a lot; oh and at the end (hopefully, not sure if there is any other department hiding there) they inform you that you finally reached the insurance payout department and it takes up to 30 days to get ‘file solved’ - hopefully it means compensation......... on top of the other several weeks they have already used up ‘processing’ your claim, talking to Hermes, talking to themselves, etc.... never again! Better go directly with the courier.

Waited 3 days beyond the agreed date for my parcel to be collected then gave up and took it to a local parcel shop for it to be picked up by the courier. Tried on numerous occassions to speak to someone but only ever got an inaccurate and unhelpful automated service. To top it all off they’ve now taken an extra £7.50 off me because the parcel is 18cm over size and are completely uninterested in the shocking customer service. Will not use again!

They lost my parcel, Took 3 weeks to admit fault despite me chasing them up and then told me my claim was outside the 28 days term. Absolute con artists.

this company is fake the cheat on your when their courier companies loss the parcels they take you for a ride their claim form link does not work or give the actual form but when issues raised they do not give you a solution they take you for ride ask you do various things to your computer and finally when you confront it does not work which screenshot they then decide not to respond to you and your time to submit the claim is finished their is their trick ebay should be ashamed to recommend them.

My comments are the same as many below. I sold through Ebay - they directed me to Packlink, Hermes collected the package (they are usually pretty good) and it has now gone missing. Hermes just direct you to Packlink and they are useless. Its almost like Packlink has been set up to lose parcels I tried to contact them and they ask for information they either have or can find themselves Avoid at all cost

Wish I could give no stars. You tacitly accused me of attempt to defraud when I had not used your shipping label...refused to investigate tracking number used and closed the case by refusing to refund the cost of the label after agreeing to do so. In utter frustration I resorted to a mediator. They verified my facts and paid the refund.

I am convinced that Packlink is intentionally set up to frustrate any potential claim for loss. I have had 7 out of 26 parcels lost sent via Packlink with Hermes (so Hermes at issue)... but trying to chase it is painful, and the system just confuses things no end. First you have to resubmit the information they already have (why?) to create a support request. They give you a support incident number to use... but there is no where that the support request number ties up with the delivery - so when you have several open cases, you have support numbers, parcel numbers, delivery numbers, post codes and unhappy customers. Add to that, they investigate, then eventually say it's deemed lost, then you have to submit a claims form (info all over again + photo evidence of sale), then they advise 30 days to investigate, then claim is submitted, but claims are only sent for review every 2 weeks, and can take another 30 days it seems they say. So a simple lost item can take over 3 months to resolve - can you juggle all the numbers over that timescale. AVOID !

Do not use Packlink! The service is awful and customer service is non-existent! The customer service from Packlink is really exceptionally awful. I have suffered the most appalling customer experience and the latest email from them today (that suggests that my problem has been fixed when it hasn’t even been acknowledged) is the icing on the cake! I would avoid them at all costs and use Hermes (or another delivery company) directly. This is what has happened so far: 1. I used Packlink to send a mobile phone that I sold on eBay. 2. The package was opened in transit and the mobile phone was stolen. 3. I had paid extra for the package to be tracked and for insurance to compensate me in the event that there was a problem. I therefore assumed it would be a relatively straight-forward process to claim for the missing phone. 4. I was very wrong! Packlink’s website wasn't working properly and it was impossible to use their website to make a claim for the loss. When you pressed the "Send" button on the online claim form nothing happened. None of the other online contact forms worked either. I wasted several hours trying to submit the claim. 5. Packlink's customer service is seemingly non-existent. They do not provide any means for customers to contact you other than through online forms (which seemingly don't even work). There is no phone number, email address or live chat available to contact Packlink. 6. I therefore tried to speak to Packlink’s parent company, eBay (not least given the item was sold on eBay). I wasted at least two hours trying to speak to eBay. I spoke to two different eBay customer services people and eventually realised they wouldn't do anything to help. They said that I needed to report the loss to Packlink. They gave me what they said was a phone number for Packlink (it wasn’t, it was for eBay and was simply a recorded message!) and they gave me various website links to Packlink, but none of these worked. eBay suggested that I keep trying the Packlink website over the next few days in the hope that Packlink might eventually fix their website! 7. In the meantime eBay told me that I needed to report this crime to the police and to obtain a crime reference number. I have therefore wasted more time doing that, although the police have no real interest and won’t even give me a crime reference number until eBay and Packlink complete their investigations. 8. Forums and review sites on the web are full of other disgruntled customers complaining about how poor Packlink's service and how poor and non-existent their customer service is. I wish I had known this before using Packlink. Notwithstanding the fact that eBay is a huge £27 billion multi-national company, this whole episode makes you feel like you have been ripped off by a bunch of cowboys! 9. Packlink's website eventually started working a couple of days later. Having wasted several hours already trying to contact Packlink to report the loss, I was relieved to finally be able to submit my claim through their online form (or at least that is what I thought I had done). 10. You can therefore imagine my shock, anger and frustration when I received an email from Packlink customer services that first asked me submit a claim using the same form that I had already used to submit the claim. And then to compound matters, I have received an email from Packlink a day later that suggest that Packlink’s "team Support UK recently solved [my]support request". They most definitely haven’t solved anything! I am nearly lost for words at this stage. This whole experience has caused a huge amount of stress (the buyer of the phone on eBay is demanding I compensate him for the phone that was stolen in transit) and it is practically impossible to get Packlink to do anything about it. Please do not use Packlink. The service is awful and the customer service when something goes wrong is non-existent!

Defintely the worst service to use, esp they partner with Hermes, OMG nightmare combination! PLEASE walk away if you don't want to get your parcel lost or damaged with compensation claim declined! I sell small things on eBay, unfortunately Packlink/Hermes is eBay default e-Delivery. Hermes has terrible service and they don't handle any query nor complaint, all go through Packlink. I've got all different experience and none is solved through Packlink, they just had all reason to decline your requests. such as: once Hermes disposed my parcel damanged during the delivery without notifying me nor sending it back to me; this time my parcel just disappeared after logged in Hermes transit hub system on 24th April. I raised a claim after patiently waited the estimated delivery on 6th June as shown in the tracking system for being patient and understandable with COVID disruption. my claim was declined due to their 'terms' of raising a claim within 28 days! On the other hand, I knew from my previous experience if I contact them before the due delivery date I would be asking to wait after the estimated delivery date!

Abysmal service. I've used a few times and they're fine when things progress normally, but as soon as there's an issue e.g. Hermes miss a pickup, Packlink are utterly useless. Their staff are powerless to help in any reassuring way, just copy and paste vague excuses, blaming the courier. Indeed, Hermes are at fault in my current case, for not collecting even though tracking updates correctly showed the collection request correctly 2 days ago, that's not Packlink's fault. The major problem is that because of booking through Packlink, Hermes directly won't take queries about the parcel & direct queries to Packlink's extraordinarily slow & ineffective chat/message system. Packlink's staff don't seem to get why their customers would expect them to rectify a situation when they're the only point of contact. Shambles.

SCAM. They failed to deliver a parcel, then said they will charge me to return it to the sender, and lastly abruptly ended our conversation without replying any of my emails ever again. To this day, I still don't know where my parcel is.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE-A company is judged on what it does to remedy a problem., This company acts like the dodgiest secondhand car salesman ever, all smiles, but when they customer has a problem , they are as slippery as a greased pig in their excuses not to pay out. Judging by the terrible scores on here and the very vocal dissatisfaction of Internet forum users, I would put forward the theory that they may have a policy of never actually ever paying anything out. I have never heard from anyone who has ever got compensated for lost or damaged items, I should imagine its below 20% and that's being generous, be good to do an 'freedom of Information' request to get the actual figures off them, but I forgot , you may not be able to as they are a Spanish company and small claims or citizens advice may not apply to them because of their Foreign status. Complain to Ebay to remove these charlatans and in the meantime . DO NOT USE PACKLINK, find more reliable alternatives, I lost money and a customer because of this awful company. Shutl were better and that's saying something!

Used for eBay sales as it seemed easy and thought it would be reliable. I was wrong. They are just a 3rd party so makes everything more difficult to sort out. Used Hermes through Packlink for 2 parcels. Neither were collected. I had 3 missed collections in all. It takes ages to get a response from Packlink. I waited in a queue for over half an hour on online chat and never got any response. I filled in the request forms and could not submit. Packlink would not deal with over email and demanded I use the form. Had to use a different device. It was confusing dealing with each failed collection separately and speaking with different agents. Hermes were saying they had been collected. To begin with Packlink were saying they wouldn’t refund me. I had to fight to get one refund agreed. Still trying to get the other. Will not use Packlink or Hermes again.

Terrible service easy to use until something goes wrong. Three parcels have gone missing and I am unable to contact their customer services which may not exist. One i take the time to enter all the details on the claim form I cannot submit it. Does anyone else experience this? I cannot communicate with the company they therefore do not reply to my query. one star is one too many.
