“Would not recommend!
I used this service to find the safest and most price competitive delivery cost for a parcel I had to return. I took out the offered insurance as the product was a high value item. The item was delivered smashed despite fully packaged with padding and fragile warnings.
When claiming on the insurance taken out through the company I was refused based on an irrelevant reason. I disagreed at which point they used another irrelevant reason for rejection of claim. At this point it felt they were clutching at reasons not to pay out.
Despite saying I could appeal, when asked for details of how to do this I have been ignored on multiple times. I have tried to escalate and am being totally ignored by the company including the CEO despite sending emails and letters which I can see have been received and signed for. I am now trying to figure out how I can escalate this to an external body as am currently over £300 out of pocket. So upset and disappointed not to mention frustrated. Please avoid this company!”
“Having read some of the reviews on this sight, I have to report that Parcelcompare have tried the same overweight/oversize scam on us. UPS were the carrier and the tracking information revealed no mention of an audit. We were able to provide photographs of the package and the weight but Parcelcompare refuse to accept it as proof. I’m reporting this to Trading Standard as fraudulent trading. I would strongly recommend anyone not to use this company and to take the time to report them if you find yourself in a similar position”
“Just like everyone else really please AVOID this company, we sent a parcel back to a bathroom supplier in its original packaging, unopened as we realised it was too big for our bathroom, they now say UPS didn’t even attempt to deliver as the parcel was damaged due to poor packaging!! We have proofs that it was well packaged in a wood crate with photos and emails from the supplier, they on their side have not provided any proof and it’s just what someone says!! We even purchased additional insurance which seems to be another scam. We are going to the small claim court out of principle, they are scamming people constantly”
“Avoid at all costs. I booked in a delivery, then had to change the date of collection from my house. I had confirmation of this change and yet, the courier failed to turn up after me waiting in all day (having got up at 01:30 to drive 300 miles to ensure I was in). I drove the package myself after the failure, costing me another 5 hours driving and more on fuel. When I tried to get a refund, they charged me for cancelling the service i.e. the one that never happened. I still haven’t got my money back…Amateurs.”
“Awful company to deal with, booked in everything correctly then came back with extra charges which couldn’t be backed up and when we spoke direct to the courier company they had booked it in correctly and we were left with the bill! Never will use again strong recommend not using them!”
“utter joke, booked a colelction with these people with UPS the courrier, they arent even capable of telling UPS when the collection is scheduled for. Utter joke, avoid”
“Tried to charge me for an overweight parcel stating that UPS had " audited" my parcel, and it was 10kg, not the 2kg I had said it was. Now I know my eyesight is going, but I think I might have known the difference. Obviously I checked with UPS by signing up and funnily enough they delivered a 2kg parcel. Absolute scammers. My invoice was cancelled funnily enough after a few rude emails to them. I was actually enjoying the exchange. Avoid them like the plague”
“Paid for them to collect from spain and deliver to UK 6 boxes of personal belongings. DHL collected and scanned the parcels. The tracking number doesn't exist and DHL have no record of any collection. Now I'm £200 down and missing my priceless belongings. Not sure how the scam works but it must involve employees of DHL as well”
“Parcel delivered late and damaged badly via UPS. Parcelcompare claim it was not packed properly (it was, it was palleted) and UPS dropped the pallet and smashed it.
Claim refused. Appeal refused. UPS have said appeal is an option, but parcel compare are refusing. Absolutely awful, company to deal with, please beware.”
“46% bad tells you everything you need to know. The team seemed to rectify an issue while my complaint was ongoing and dismissed the fact that I’d already provided screen evidence of the issue. No option but to file for a charge back now. They allowed me to pay £46 for an item to be shipped only for it to be returned as DPD don't ship to Spain. They said it was my fault even after sent evidence that their system let me book the service and pay for it again. Unhelpful contact team… I wish I’d looked at the reviews here before booking.”
“AVOID PARCEL COMPARE
Attempted to charge for alleged overweight parcel, Requested impossible to provide proof of weight.
Claimed UPS audited the parcel. I contacted UPS who knew nothing of any audit, so I issued a complaint and parcel compare are now under investigation.
Parcel compare are an affiliate of UPS.”
“Careful .avoid avoid they are a scammer .they just overcharge you and took money from your bank account without any notice
After 4 weeksof seng my Marcel which was all damages .they charge me twice and they send me another invoice and took the money twice of my bank account”
“Company run by crooks, claim they have a service for you but have no care at all about the service, they owe me money for damaged goods and refuse to pay even though I paid them extra for insurance, scammers!”
“This is bloody failure. This company was supposed to deliver my parcel in Italy on 29/06/2021. June.
After they send it to wrong depot in another city (Milan) they had the nerve to request £103"The return charge would be £103.42- excluding any outstanding duty charges if applied. Please also note that no shipping fee will be refunded on this occasion."
After refusing to pay this money they agreed to start the return process for free.
However, we are in October, and they are still no managed to return the package back to UK.
I am receiving the same message from the parcel compare escalation team.
Probably a copy and paste since is the same one every week for the last 2 months.
I need someone to help me solve this problem(CK283563886GB).
I also hope people will start looking at the bad shipment service that this company offers before reserving their service.”
“Lost my parcel sent to the USA, I now have been jumping though hoops back and forth with emails, each time they reply with different questions, the last emails are an absolute joke, they want the non recipient to fill in a claim form, I paid for the consignment via Paypal, and send email proof by sending my Paypal statement showing that, I will never use Parcelcompare again. Can't see what the problem is, they have admitted to losing the consignment, and they won't honour my claim.”
“DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They delivered my parcel then took £95.00 out of my account! They said it was because the parcel was bigger then quoted. This was not true and when looking on the invoice it was someone else's address and invoice! YOU CANT TALK TO ANYONE JUST EMAIL. 1 WEEK LATER NOTHING HAS HAPPENED ABOUT IT. ABSOLUTE ROBBERS AND CON ARTISTS. AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
“Scammers!!! They charge the delivery TWICE and there is no way you can contact them later, from their website or whatever.
I sent a parcel to my brother in Italy which I paid £33.03 when I bought the service.
When they delivered over there they charged him 52.54 euros.”
“If I could give zero stars I would. Arranged and paid for a parcel to be delivered. It was not delivered but was returned to me. When asked why and request a refund they said the parcel was wet inside and was undeliverable. Strange that the said parcel was delivered by a different company in the exact same condition with absolutely no issues and again absolutely no issues from the recipient of the parcel. No only are they refusing to give a refund for not delivering the parcel but have also taken money from my account to pay for returning the parcel to me. Even had the cheek to send an email saying we look forward to doing business with you again. I am going to contact trading standards to see where I stand. I feel totally let down by this company”
“I booked a return for 3 rolls of insulation, when booking i gave accurate measurements and dimensions and as the price was reasonable arranged the delivery.
Several weeks after the return was collected I received an email saying that the package had been audited and the dimensions I used were wrong therefore they wanted and additional £117 from me.
The only way to appeal this was to provide photographic evidence which obviously I didn’t have, I contacted the supplier who offered to provide the dimensions but parcelcompare did not accept this..
They have been unreasonable and put up barriers throughout the whole process, my solicitor has recommended that I ask for photographic evidence from them that they can’t provide, all I have been given is a blanked out invoice. Do not use”
