Miserable, arrogant staff. Tracking not updated until after delivery. Signatures not taken or posted on website. Refunds demand all documents relating to the original purchase of the item. Expensive with no better deal than competitors, in fact worse! Post not pushed fully through the letterbox. Gates left open. Refuse to deliver if a lazy 12 year old Labrador walks up to them with his tail wagging. Unions still have 1970s attitude. Delusional sense that they are still the only carrier. They strike because they lose business to rivals. So? Try operating to the same standards instead of convincing yourselves that you’re doing us a favour. Try wearing a decent uniform like UPS. Instead of shorts, trainers and 3 days growth. Slobs,a failed business brought on by arrogance, unions and unwillingness to compete.

Royal Mail Express Tracked Delivery informed my parcel was delivered - I was in house reading email at the time it was supposed to be delivered. There was no delivery. No card posted saying where it is , no way of talking to Royal Mail, their website says its now my problem to contact sender. SO, if Royal Mail mess up -- the customer has to sort out. Do not use them , they are the worst delivery company by far from my experience

Don’t use Royal Mail international track and sign it is a complete waste of money! Sent a parcel to NZ on 01.10.2019 which was supposed to arrive last Thursday at the latest. The latest update they can give me is that it left the UK last Wednesday (8 days after it was posted). No confirmation that it’s even landed in NZ yet or expected date of arrival. Just have to hope and pray it’s not lost as the parcel cannot be tracked until it has been scanned at customs. Very confused as to why end to end tracking is advertised when they can’t actually track it at the crucial time from leaving one country to arriving in another. Don’t bother calling up for more information unless you want to be kept on hold for ages, passed from pillar to post and then told the same information!

They have caused me so much unnecessary stress for years! They will not leave with a neighbor unless you fill out a card for them telling them to do so. Well i have no filled out 8 of these in total and not ONCE has a parcel been left with a neighbor! I work from home so am always in, leave windows open so i can hear the postman and have a white doorbell on a black door yet they STILL manage to fail delivery about 80% of the time yearly! It got to the point i started thinking they were doing it on purpose! I am so sick of travelling to their collection office, they should start giving those red cards a wage because they do more work than their postmen! Their tracking is a joke and so out od date witht he modern world, even the very cheapest couriers give FULL tracking so you know what day the parcel will arrive. With Royal Mail it is a total guessing game, the parcel could come the next day or next year but the tracking doesn't aid in telling you in any way at all. I have actually started paying people on ebay etc a bit extra to NOT use Royal Mail and instead send with a courier. I NEVER have failed deliveries from couriers as they provide tracking so you know when it is out for delivery, they ring the doorbell and wait for you they don't run off after 5 seconds. They have the brains to leave it with a neighbor or in a safe place too if i am not home. Last week i heard the doorbell, ran to the window and the postman was ALREADY walking up the hill i live on! I have this on CCT too and sent it to RM on a complaint but nothing was ever done about it, this action proved to me they don't even bring the parcels with them just those red cards! I hate this company and pray for the day it is taken over by a more modern and competent company, i have lost so much money being self employed through RM getting parts i need days later even when i have sat in all day waiting for the parcel, you actually have to fight to get your parcels from RM these days it is insane! They are also massively over priced, the same sized parcel i can send with a courier for £2.80 would cost me nearly £10 with RM for a tracked service! Even then you better make sure you have a free half an hour when you go into a post office because all of their staff seem to be as slow as a zombified snail. The company is a joke and isn't fit for business in the modern world, if you need to send parcels then use couriers is all i can say. Screw you Royal Mail, the day i never have to give you morons a second thought cannot come soon enough!!!

Used international track & sign first class supposed to get to its destination within 4 working days it was sent on the 18.9.19 had to go through the upu postal service to track it after the uk guess what its sitting supposedly in Barbados on the 23.9.19 Why I have no idea as its destination was for spain! No further information is available now I have to compensate a buyer due to this and find our how to get the item sent back to me. Certainly won't be using this unreliable service again!

Absolutely hopeless. By not having a human to talk to in cases not covered by their look up's and when their site isn't working as it should proves they are completely out of step with how businesses need to work today.

1 hour and 20 minutes to get through on the phone to Customer Services on Day 1 and 45 minutes on Day 2. Then they had the gall to ask if I'd complete a survey on their level of service! Just answer the phone.

I ordered some vape coils 3 days ago, dispatch yesterday morning at 8am, sent by 1st class. So I expected them to arrive today, and no coils have arrived. Another example of the poor service that we have to put up with.

Got a tracking number for an order that said tracked 48. Arrived at Manchester sorting centre and 48 hours later hasn’t moved. Royal Mail weren’t helpful and basically said it’s lost. No other help offered. Not a great service but they don’t care they are making money. So if you want to pay for a parcel to be lost, stolen or dumped before delivery please use Royal Mail. They deliver a first class non delivery service that’s guaranteed!!!!

A parcel sent to me was not delivered on time and I have spent the best part of an hour waiting for someone to answer the telephone. Why customers should tolerate this automated telephone system is beyond me. In the days when I could ring my local sorting office it would have taken 5 minutes to answer my question instead of half a day. I understand from customer service that this is due to volume but something needs to be done to avoid customers having to spend so much time waiting for their calls to be answered.

Yes I'm angry: If I could give this bunch of inadequates less than one star, then I would. My advice: Don't ever use Royal Mail, since privatisation they're untrustworthy (packages regularly go 'missing') and when there's a problem they're blatently incompetent at fixing it. By the by, please don't confuse Royal Mail with the Post Office; The Post Office peeps are like a breath of fresh air after dealing with Royal Mail.

I think its obvious that someone working for the royal mail has opened the card knowing its a birthday card & taken the money out of it!!! Absolutely horrendous..

I have paid twice £4.55 for a large envelope to be delivered with 1st class delivery signed for and twice the item was not delivered. The online tracking service states 'accepted at post office branch and you will be contacted when delivery is attempted. No delivery has been completed and there is not trace of where the mail is in their depot and obviously no signature collected. Trying to claim a refund online is impossible. Anyone knows a better provider?

I’m expecting a parcel which is 1st class signed for. It was tracked to their post off ice in Stockton on the 21st, it’s now the 29th and still no delivery or update. This though is not my major gripe. Upon trying to sort this, I called the PO. After 15 mins on hold, I lost the will to live. Several more lengthy attempts later, I had no choice but to leave the problem in the lap of the Royal Mail gods. Absolutely awful service.

Absolutely without a doubt, the ***WORST*** postal service in the area (Coalville). We tend to buy a lot of online stuff and we work full time. I have filled out a card with this branch so that when we are not at home our mail is delivered to our neighbour (who was all to happy to accept mail on our behalf) - this same card was delivered back to our address without anything more being said (or written on it) ... the items that were supposed to be delivered from then on to our neighbour (when we wernt in), never were. This has caused major inconvenience having to wait up to 4 days just to have it redelivered in the hope we are in! I've tried leaving named and signed notes on our door for the postman to leave it in a safe place or with a neighbour (which other companies do such as yodel and Hermes)- again to NO avail. Whats the point of offering this service if you cant commit to it?!? absolute nightmare. 4 days may not seem like much to most, but it is when the things im having delivered are for my start up business, and I cant progress with my work until I have my products delivered. And the only reason I'm writing this up is because this has happened on more than 5 occasions so far within the last two months and the royal mail complaints system is floored.

Words fail me... God knows what my blood pressure rose to. Trying to deal with Royal Mail is a totally frustrating waste of hours. I wasted 2 - 3 hours trying to pay a Customs Charge, going round and round their web site and every attempt ends with "There has been a problem". This is not the first time it's been impossible to pay a charge on their site. Four emails, now six, from Paypal tell me I've authorised payments - so have i paid, once, twice, or not at all? - who knows. I certainly don't. Tried phoning - two different numbers. Both kept me hanging on over half an hour, repeatedly suggesting one uses their Web-page where one has already just wasted 2 hours. A useless frustrating service - one of the worst! If i could avoid them i certainly would. Tomorrow I'll have to try some other way. My blood pressure can't take much more of them.

Awful service. Over priced, unreliable and not trustworthy. Had birthday cards containing money vanish from the system even with tracking numbers. The postman turns up as/when he wants often swerving my street for days at a time if its raining. Caught them a few times putting a "sorry we missed you" cards through the door without even knocking first, when I open the door they have left the parcel in the van at the end of the street and not even attempted to deliver it (also been seen doing this on my CCTV).
