Been 8 moths and was going to leave it but now problem again so... initial delivery was 2 seater in living room, 3 seater left outside as too big, was told if you bought on credit they would have sorted it but because we paid on debit card nothing they could do. Phoned shop to be told it was down to us... we managed to get it in by taking door off. But now, all squashed and won’t go back in shape, looks a mess £3000 paid, emails sent 3 times still no reply.

We had our sofas delivered on the due date but had a very upsetting experience with the initially designated delivery people from the midlands. The cheeky B---- told us that they were delivering the goods on 15th Nov, 6 days ahead of the due date arranged with the shop when ordered. She then said if you do not take it when I say you will not get it before January. I explained that it was not possible because of home alterations. So I went to the shop and they said that they would sort it. They rang me in the afternoon and said the agreed date would be honoured, which it was. The final delivery guys Colin and Mark from the Seaham depot (not from the Midlands) who delivered the goods were more than helpful and set them all up and explained all we needed to know about the care of the furniture. The Retail World Gateshead branch persons that we initially dealt with were most helpful and we cannot knock them. I have read some of the other reviews and it seems as though we have got away lightly, Lets hope it stays that way.

Oh my goodness, I have never had such trouble and lack of communication with a company in all my life! Cannot get through to anyone on the phone at all, tried various numbers, when I did contact someone they gave me head offices number which I had been trying constantly, when I tried to explain I had already rang this number several times with nobody answering, he just spoke over me. I have 200 free minutes on my mobile all used up and wasted trying to contact SCS. Do not go with this company. I also ordered a couple of carpet samples, they never arrived! Only good thing was the carpet fitters, and that’s only because they are sub-contracted. I wish I had never gone with them, totally useless! Also when we were in store the staff member who was assisting us was saying how one of the carpet fitters was always drunk, my carpet fitter and date of fitting was changed twice, and staff member said this fitted was more trust worthy, I said well I hope they are all the same and professional! Have emailed them after trying so long on phone, this was a month ago, still no answer from them. Complete unprofessional company and service.

Horrible experience with scs branch at staples corner. Been six months since order placed and still no sign of fitting the carpet. Made several complaints over the phone and emails but no response. They have no fitters to do the job and keep taking new orders without the ability to fulfill them. 5 separate dates arranged and they never turn up without any explanation. The managers are not interested in resolving and just keep on making they cannot keep and after 6 months or order we still are without carpet. Absolutely the worst experience of retail in my life.!! Avoid them like the plague

ordered carpet for our hall way and landing, got given an install date. Date came, I called scs to confirm as NOBODY had contacted us since paying for the carpet to confirm. They confirmed we were due that day to be installed, got a call from the installer saying he would be an hour, 2 hours later he calls saying he wont have time to install the carpet, promised we would get installed the following day (Saturday). So we waited in all day, NOTHING! called customer services who said we should have it installed, will be Monday instead! so Monday comes.. NOTHING! spent every day calling customer services, got hung up on 5 or 6 times (cut off).. finally a week later we were told it would be Monday again! Guess what! NOTHING! absolute joke of a company and liars! don't waste your evenings calling these idiots or spend your hard earned money with them!

Please read all reviews before you deal with this company.I ordered carpet for the whole house in May.Still waiting for my order to be completed.Laid underlay that is now ruined with footfall (not to be used instead of carpet).Numerous visits to the store no communication can't speak to anyone .They have twice bought the wrong size and the last time the wrong colour.A bunch of idiots carpet fitter fed up as he has to move all the furniture out of the room.Avoid Avoid Avoid!

If you want to save your sanity and avoid your soul being destroyed, do not use this company . They simply DO NOT care, never call back, thats if they answer the phone in the first place. Lost days off work, damaged goods escalation to Head office gets you nowhere as the Store won't even tell them what is going on. 6 months down the line and I am fed up to the point of going to the store and dumping the stuff outside. Threaten legal action and they just ignore it. Trust Pilot reviews are a complete falsehood.

Had a Corner sofa delivered in March in September had a Metal spike break through the leather tearing my shourts and cutting my leg call customer service who sent a repair man to look at it . all ho done was pull the broken spring out and that will do 2 weeks later chased to see when the repair would be done only to be told they were replacing the sofa . Then told it was discontinued another month later the same issue on the other side of the sofa . no response from Email about the cut to my leg no consideration for the customer very poor

Bought 2 recline sofas (Pendal)paid £1,500, delivered 5th october 2018 the material went patchy on both sofas, not just on the seats,I made a complaint as only had them 5 months, still under guarantee. SCS would not refund or change them or recover them.I complained to Resolver on the Martin Lewis web page, also escalated to the ADR complaints,but the answer off SCSwas complaint FAILED, I will never buy from them again.

Sales team great at Purley, once the deal was sealed it was all downhill. The carpet wasn't laid after 10 days of purchase as promised, the initially fitting date was cancelled, excuse given "" Carpet was no longer in distribution"" Just utter nonsense. Eventually fitted after almost 6 weeks. The only saving grace was Ryan the carpet fitter, who managed to do a good job although scs had messed up the measurements. Five stars to the carpet fitter, no stars to scs. And getting through to the Purley branch is a joke, no one ever picks up the phone. Now let's see if the sofa arrives on time, or will there be more dumb excuses

My Aunt who is 88 years old ordered a new carpet and sofa. The carpet was meant to arrive yesterday and sofa next week. She had to sit on a kitchen chair from 8am and sat there the whole day waiting on them coming. A phone call was made during the day, where they said to give it till 8pm!! Really!!! They were going to fit a carpet at 8pm!! We phoned again and guess what...they don't know what has happened to the carpet!! Sofa delivery has also been cancelled and after she had a 30 min wait on a phone she was told today that there is a "conditional" delivery date of 3 December!! She is 88 years old and now sitting with no carpet or sofa in the middle of winter! Appalling service don't go near this place

After less than 2 years, our leather corner suite began peeling. After the issue worsened to several (9+) places, I reported it to SCS and suffered the same appalling tactics as experienced my many reviewers. After 7 weeks of being ignored, I called them again, was put on hold for 35 minutes only to be told that their decision was that the issue was "wear". Really!!! This was not some low-end leather sofa. We opted for the higher-end option which we believed would last. We've had leather suites in the past which have not suffered from this issue which is obviously a quality problem. I have escalated to their senior management but have little faith that they will deal with the problem. Whilst I await their pleasure (apparently at least 2 weeks), I will be contacting trading standards and the finance company. Suffice to say that I would not recommend SCS at this point. Pity I can't give 0 stars.

The one star is for the carpet fitters and carpet. Delivery service and customer from Hull store and head office appalling. Fitting cancelled 4 times, when questioned no fitting had ever been booked at all!! Never return your calls and when you contact the head office or store always waiting at least 30 minutes on the phone. Sent complaint email never received a reply even after second email. We do not recommend and we will never use SCS AGAIN.

Buying Service was fine, product however is absolutely rubbish, had a corner sofa and love seat for around six months and I will be lucky if it lasts another 6 months. Wood frame inside the sofa and love seat have become very noisy and there are loose threads appearing on a daily basis. We also paid extra for the ungraded foam which appears to be sub par compared to most other company’s standard foam. All in all a very cheap and nasty product masquerading as a premium product.

Delivery guys very pleasant , However after a couple of months of having my Endurance sofa , received a letter from SCS saying there was a fault on this model . Appointment made for upholsterer to come and fix fault , which he did , after taking sofa to bits and removing two bent steel rods out of seat cushions . The cushions are solid and uncomfortable , it's like sitting on a wall , have constant back and neck pain if sitting on sofa for any length of time . I wish i had gone elsewhere now , Would not recommend the Endurance Range at all , Cheap , solid foam used in cushions . Will now have to save to buy a replacement from elswhere .

Pathetice service. My parents were expecting their order on 21/10. After numerous phone calls (which in average took 30 mins for them to answer) was the order chased up. Even then no one could provide an explanation till 5 days later. Their store manager seems to be busy to answer the phone. Although the call handlers and sales team are pleasant enough ( want the money) the procrsses are totally incompetent. The only good part of the service was the carpet fitters and they Are and external company! Please save your time and money and go to a business that will care about you as a customer.
