After service , they dont want to know plus the insurance is a waste of money. Even when the settee come damaged. Not a happy customer. Mum had the same, problem. Be careful people. Go to DFS instead.

We were rung up an hour before delivery .which meant we wernt waiting around all day ,really pleased we were first delivery of the day .Joe and his friend brought the suite in carefully, unwrapping it and taking away the rubbish .The swivel chair looked a bit technical for me to put up ,they did it in no time .we are really pleased with the suite

These guys lied to us about lead time, telling us our sofas would be 7 to 9 weeks. Turned out to be 16 weeks. They did lend us two sofas that were so uncomfortable I would have preferred to stick with the garden furniture we were using. Then when they did deliver the sofas we ordered, they 'forgot' to tell the driver he had to pick up the loan sofas. After a phone call, he agreed to take them after lying that he had no space. It took another heated phone call to get him to agree to remove the arms to get them out of the house. They should, of course have known that needed doing as that was the case when they brought them. We now have nice sofas, but I would never trust or deal with them again. Liars and totally disorganised.

Bought a La-Z-Boy electric recliner sofa from them in November 2016. First sofa delivered had a lump in the upholstery (should never have passed quality control). Sofa replaced. Stitching on one seam of new sofa came undone within weeks. But far worse, both sofas dipped so low when reclining that they crushed the pile of the carpet and were beginning to wear it. An engineer sent by SCS diagnosed this as a design fault. I went into SCS to see if I could find an alternative model but ALL UK-made La-Z-Boys had the same problem. So SCS agreed to collect the soda and give me a full refund. The sofa has been collected, but so far no refund, just "the manager will call you tomorrow" which he then fails to do. A substandard company selling substandard goods. Avoid.

Bad aftercare service problem with carpets after the 1st few months took them 12 months to come and view and the person who inspected the carpets(also works for them which as see as unfair) said was a problem with the carpet , then when i followed up was told he had stated it was wear and tear asked for a copy of the report as no information on the report and they will no longer deal with my complaint. i was doing a surprise home makeover for my mum who had just lost her mother. to lift the mood i went to scs staples corner for floorings and sofa. on tv i had seen they had promotions on too. i went in and chose vinyl for entire passage plus three rooms, carpet for two rooms and sofas for lounge. the guys were so desperate in there. but offers won us (husband) over on things we liked. we were promised a time frame on flooring fittings and were not told the sofas will arrive way later than wanted as we had a cut off date for the makeover surprise. so, the date we were due floorings, we had no calls or messages to inform that its on its way. we called scs and kept being told to call back later or they will call back later. we called 7 times until the lady said nobody is coming as there has been a mix up of dates. now the next date was when my mother is back and the house was floor less and sofa less. we made an official complained to scs but they never got back to us. this delay had intervened with work and newborn baby care. all had to be re arranged again inconveniently. the day the floors were fitted the guys were so unprofessional and fitted the bathroom unevenly.had dents in areas and they tried to avoid fitting the liners under the cooker and fridge because they didnt want to move it. i have never seen or heard of this kind of service. so my partner lifted everything up for them. we have air bubbles on one side of the passage and had been told its due to uneven surface, however the previous three vinyls never had them,so it made me wonder how great they were really at their job. we complained and got no response. now there was 10 weeks wait for the sofas as it was being custom made but were not told this is how long it will take but knew it will be after the floorings though. we had told the lady in scs taking the payment that we have construction work in our estate and live on the third floor so these may be points the delivery crew will need to know. on the deliver date now, they arrived two hours later due to traffic and had to decline the delivery as there were no parking because they arrived late and the constructions had blocked off the access road. and to top it off the delivery guy said we do not have crates to wheel it into the area. which heavy goods delivery service does not have all these equipments ready? so unprofessional! we called to rearrange again it was inconvenience. however we had the delivery today of the sofas and these two delivery men were so helpful and fast and the only best bit of the scs service, but there was a compartment missing from the two seater. we called three times and were told three times we will call you back. never got a call back. we called again and explained and the guy on phone said it was a extra £200 for that piece of item as it was not on the reciept. that compartment was the only reason we purchased the sofa and customised the colours and took three hours in the store the day we chose it and we get told that they did not have it on receipt and cannot do anything about it!!! at this point i am so disappointed, furious and appalled at the service scs had to offer. in the store the hungry sales advisor one named ahmed dealing with sofas, and white man dealing with floorings were so pushy but promised on time delivery unless told otherwise, no information on the very long sofa wait, spoke to us about the sofa compartments options as in usb or without, we chose without so just opted for the armrest storage and two cup holders...but somehow it was not even on the receipt now. what on earth!!!!! a man named antonio was dealing with all phone calls about complains issues etc and each time we had to call 10 times to get him to talk. we were told to wait, call back later, or they will and never did. please check recorded call logs from us to them and the disastrous service they had offered each time. now we have floorings which are bubbling and denting and sofas that dont have the part we even purchased it for in the first place. i dont have the energy to even go through giving it back and ripping off the floorings cz firstly they will not deal with it and its going to be the biggest inconvenience for me financially and time wise, not to mention there is a new born and grieving mother. i will advise you all not to purchase from scs. if it was one off issue or mistake and then dealt with its fine but for three different departments, dates, times, wrong items, lack of communication and customer service that really needs revising or shut the god damn company down if that is what they are offering. please please please whoever is reading, scs is not worth it. big talks from ahmed in staples corner branch and turtle pace or nothing in after care service from antonio. it is stressful doing a move or change but scs team had just added to the stress and made this experience one to remember for the worse.

Paid £1,237 cash for small 2 seater sofa and an armchair, 3 days after dlivery noticed the wooden frame protruding through the armchair, rang SCS and they sent a technician to inspect. Technician said it has been built incorrectly and was faulty. SCS only solution was to come to my tiny flat, dismantle the chair and re-build in my flat ! I explained I had brand new carpets and that was not acceptable, therefore they are refusing to do anything at all. Citizens advice are now helping and it looks as though it is going to have to go to small claims court. Terrible service, shoddy products - NEVER AGAIN !!!

After a short time, for something the quality of 'Lazyboy', it was showing bad signs of wear. After several telephone calls and repeated visits to your showroom in Ipswich with photo's of the wear, we did not even get the courtesy of a reply from you. We have been completely ignored.

My mother bought an armchair from them with a warranty for £50. Soon after she had to go into a care home and took her chair with her. She was in the care home for 20 months and died aged 97. On clearing her room we found there were some stains on the chair from where she had spilled food on it. It looked like someone had tried to clean it, but not very well. On trying to claim on the warranty, I told them my mother had died. Not one word of sympathy, just a lot of talk about Data Protection. I was then told they would have to send a letter to my mum at the address where she was living when she bought the chair and I would have to go there end pick it up! I was also told to send them her death certificate and Power of Attorney (which lapses on death anyway). I sent a letter to the complaints department. A few days later they asked for the Death Certificate. I said I had sent it to the claims department. They said they had not received it. When I sent them proof of delivery and the time it was delivered and who signed for it, it miraculously appeared. The same thing happened when I sent the next letter. I had to fill in a form saying what had been spilt, when, what had been used to clean it and a myriad of other questions I could not answer.. They also wanted me to send photos. I have no idea how to do that over the computer, even if I had a phone which takes photos, which I don't. I said I would have to get a film for my camera and then have it developed; they eventually said not to bother. Eventually they said someone would come and inspect it! He came and looked at it and said someone would come to clean it, but if it could not be cleaned the arm and seat would be recovered. I then heard from them that the warranty did not cover it as the attempt to clean it had probably bleached it! They offered £126 pounds which they said was the cost of the clean. I asked for the name of the company they use for cleaning and got them out. The man that came told me a lot about how SCF used to employ proper tradesmen to do the cleaning, but now use people who have just had a few week's training. The whole company seems to be useless. They offer a warranty that they wriggle out of when you try to claim. I have not yet read one review where they delivered what they promised. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE. A final point: I got a lovely man came to clean the chair and he did a very good job of it!

My father was sold a sofa with "everything is covered" insurance for £200. He was told, without insurance your finance won't go through. My dad is a pensioner with very poor English. When it came to claiming, the policy would not cover. They lied and mis-sold to my dad. Ow all going through solicitors. They are doing a fantastic job with it....let's get a class action SCS for fraud and misrepresentation. I am dealing with Taylor Price Solicitors, amazing law firm and constantly keeping is posted. You can get them in 01616749800

The worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. Bought 2 sofas explaining explicitly that they had to arrive within 3 months as I have my elderly in-laws coming to stay. One of them is over 80 years old and needs proper seating due to his ill health. The salesman assured me they would be there in time... although the contract stated 9-10 weeks he told me that the most likely outcome would be 6-8 weeks and that I shouldn't worry. We are now in week 13 and my elderly in-laws have to sit on my office chair... the rest of us are on cushions on the floor. While I appreciate that mistakes can be made - I tried to sympathise and suggested a refund on the order to get another sofa in time for my in-laws arrival... they flat out rejected and dismissed my concerns. Head office won't help (and won't return my calls), the store are dismissive and the overall lack of contact on their end has really soured what was meant to be me and my partner's first furniture shopping experience. All I want are my sofas or my money back so an 80 year old man doesn't have to sit in an office chair while the rest of us sit around him on the floor... will never use SCS again. They haven't even apologised for the delay :(

Visited Nottingham ScS Retail Park opposite Ikea talk about desperado - Harrassment at its fullest!!! We went in told the sales advisor we were just here to browse have a look around as we had bought a house with a August date, what did we get that's not a problem should you need any assistance please come and get us! Turned around & in comes the Sales with a coffee shoved our noses, I declined then we are asked what are we looking for leather or fabric? Fabric oh there loads upstairs so up we go & low & behold we are told it's the best time to buy a sofa 50% discount and guess what the sofas we were browsing were there best sellers and that everyone was buying them... Well I don't want to be like everyone else out of the selected range we saw one 4 seater with a 2 seater snuggle chair and foot stool Oh guess what we can buy the one on the shop floor for £2000 we explained we didn't want a shop floor one we wanted new oh that's £2500 I'll speak with my Area Manager we can do it for £2000 however he's leaving in 5 minutes & only he will do the deal if you agree now??? WTF! I wanted this idiot to do one, my wife said we won't be pressured into buying a sofa.... on the way out some other clown stating it's a fair deal maybe so but with crappie sales staff not from me! Went to Sofology bought a better nicer sofa set for £2835 very happy with shop all polite friendly staff and range of sofas so ScS take note you push too hard you get nothing......

Possibly the biggest crooks on the market might as well be wearing a baraclaver when they take your money. Ordered a settee (lazyboy) on the bank holiday sale at birstall retail park a corner settee 1 of the first things we asked after deciding on the settee we wanted was about delivery because we live in a town house and the living room is on the middle floor and we got told by the sales person that there would be no problem and it splits into sections and they deliver these sofas all the time and to stop worrying. So today was delivery day of are settee. The corner part of the settee would not go upstairs after phoning the shop and speaking to an imbecile called Simon we got told and these was is very words after we said that the sofa wouldn't fit and your colleague said there wouldn't be a problem " I doubt she would have said that and we say anything so you sign on the dotted line and you should have checked your terms and conditions anybody that doesn't it's there own fault for being so naive" we got told we can choose another sofa that fits and we lose 30% of the total cost of the sofa which is around £800 or we pay and upholsterer £200 to take apart the middle part of the settee and put it back together at the top. After speaking to customer services and waiting for phone calls back all day they are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.

Lack of communication, as waited for a month for them to fit our carpet on our stairs and Landing they lost our paperwork as no one came to to do the carpet, went to the store to get our money back to be told that the person who can do that is lunch, when she's back she will refund us and call to confirm but 2 hours went by and no call so we went back to the store only to find out that she didn't know anything about a refund, eventually we got our money back but will never step foot in a Scs store again.

Sofa delivered with wrong feet waited weeks for the correct ones to arrive. When they did eventually deliver correct feel they were minus the fittings to attach them. Whats worse is underneath of the sofa is frayed and falling apart. The customer service is appalling nobody answers the phone, head office useless. I will be going through my credit card provider to get my money back. Dont buy anything from them is my advice.
