Since taking out a SIM only contract with Vodafone via mobiles.co.uk I have not had a full and satisfactory service. Numerous phone calls have been long, confusing and fruitless with no progress and incorrect information for the reason for not having the full service contracted for. I have also been told that I can only cancel the contract if I pay a cancellation fee of £150. I have had the phone checked out and tried the SIM in an alternative phone to check if it will work effectively in a phone that we know is fine. Am now trying to resolve problem via mobiles.co.uk but rest assured that if I ever get this sorted I will never again touch Vodafone and possibly mobiles.co.uk ever again. Vodafone not only have the worst possible service but the most ineffective and poorly qualified staff I have ever come across. Not good for a Communications Industry to have such poor communication and service for it's customers.

Wow, looks like I am not the only one. What a company. Throughout my 2 year contract the 3G has been, to all intents and purposes, non-existent - including in places where others are getting good, strong signals at the same time. I am in the process of leaving them at the moment. What a desperate struggle. Their web chat service is nothing short of a bad joke. I spoke to someone last month to find out the exact date of the end of my contract. It was 33 days away, he told me that I had to give them 30 days notice. I asked if I could give them 33 days notice (for obvious reasons), but the answer was "no", and I was told I had to get back in touch in 3 days. It took a long time to get to this point, as I was basically ignored for most of the conversation so this person could throw some fairly rubbish new contract deals at me that were considerably worse than the one I am moving too. He even had the nerve to tell me that if I stayed with them then the new (inferior) deal would be 'rewarding' me for my years of service (only 2 years, but he was convinced it was 8). Anyway, got back in 2 days and went through the whole thing again (internet chat), including the sales pitch, despite me saying I just wanted to hand in my 'notice'. Eventually got transferred. Next person did the same thing. Got transferred again but was put on hold. Was on hold for about 30 minutes, and then, bang, end of conversation. Tried to restart another one and lo and behold, I can't as the web chat is down. I'm fuming at this point, so try it on an Ipad. Guess what - the web chat is working on that while it isn't working on my laptop........ call me cynical etc etc. And again, guess what - the whole thing is repeated, including being cut off after being transferred. So I try ringing. This has taken me a couple of hours and it is now 20 minutes before the customer service is closed. Guess what, when I get transferred to the relevant department it is closed, more than 15 minutes early. I have printed out the conversations that I had, so as far as I am concerned, I have told Vodafone that I am leaving and I will simply cancel the direct debit. I'm sure they will 'try it on' but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Then, today, 2 days before the end of my contract, I start a web chat to try and get my PAC code, and lo and behold, just as the conversation is going somewhere, I am cut off and now the web chat is 'offline'. And, guess what, it works on my Ipad! There is no email whatsoever, otherwise I would just send them an email saying I'm off. I will try to ring as well of course, but it seems like they are going to great lengths to basically ignore me and make it impossible for me to leave Vodafone. As in, literally impossible, because they simply disconnect me everytime I tell them I'm leaving and then stop me being able to get in contact with them from my computer, and then do the same when I contact them from another computer/ tablet. Oh, and don't bother e-mailing a web chat conversation to yourself to keep a record. I did this just now as I'm not at a printer. Guess what - no email! So that conversation has dissapeared. I'm sure there will be no record! So, I'm sure I will face issues when I just cancel the direct debit - but what else can I do? I quite literally cannot tell them I am leaving. I have a print out of a conversation where I say I am leaving, so I will keep hold of that and hope for the best. Disgusting customer service, foul, awful little company. Not just a bad company, but a company that seems to actively scheme against it's customer (in my case at least) to make their life difficult. Morally reprehensible, and I look forward to no longer having to deal with them.

I am now on Tesco mobile and the service is 1000 times better than Vodafone, happily I will not be returning to Vodafone in the future for any reason. The signal is poor, crackly and cuts off regularly. I was promised a fast internet connection on my phone and the only internet I could use without losing patience was on Wi-Fi, that is unacceptable. I have contacted Vodafone on many occasions and been on hold for upwards of 30 minutes at all times of the day, peak or off peak. The most helpful person I spoke to over my 24 month contract was the a fellow who cancelled my account at the end of my contract, he seemed to be the only person who knew what they were doing, it's a shame they can't be that professional and precise with the duration of the contract. STAY AWAY!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I have been with them for a few years, at the beginning they were ok, but in the last couple of years their customer service has just become atrocious. It is impossible to navigate through their telephone menu to get to the right person. You can be on hold for long periods of time before speaking to someone. The representatives are poorly trained and you get different answers from different people. I had a problem with my phone where I couldn't use the internet. I called about it several times over several months. They kept telling me to reset network settings and sent me a new sim card twice. Nothing helped. Then they decided that the problem was with the phone, but they refused to fix it for free as it was past the 1 year warranty you get with iPhones (even though I was on a 24 month contract). They also expected me to live without a phone for 7 days - unacceptable in this day and age. They did offer to give me £20 to buy a temporary phone - but you can't get a smart phone for that money. So in the end I decided to live with it until my contract ended, and then move to a different provider. I called them to find out what the process of leaving was and was told that one month before the end of my contract I can call and get a PAC code, and then give it to the new provider to transfer my number. They said all I would have to pay was my line rental for the last month of my contract (which is about £27). However, about a week after I changed provider, I received an invoice from Vodafone for about £140 - with no explanation about what it is apart from it saying "early termination fees". I tried to call them and spent over an hour being transferred from person to person, being sent back to the main menu and even being hung up on. When I finally reached someone who could supposedly help, they said they can't tell me anything until my last bill is generated in August. Not sure why they have sent me an invoice then if the bill hasn't even been generated yet? They are obviously trying to extort money from me now that I am no longer their customer. Can't wait to hear what their explanation is regarding this charge. Needless to say I will be disputing it. In short - worst service ever, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I cant go in into much detail or ill be here all day. iv been with Vodafone 12 years.my last contract was taken out in 2012 in 2015 they started charging me an extra £2.96 a month because I don't pay by dd.(I never have) I'm in the long process of trying to get a refund. I only noticed by chance this charge as I don't get a itemised bill. as far as I'm concerned a company cant charge you more without first letting you know. the last two idiots iv spoken to have been hopeless. iv got a supervisor calling me Monday but iv heard this one before. Its not the money that bothers me its only about £20.00 its the point of the matter. Vodafone years ago had great customer service now its non existent.

Dear Vodafone, I was in Vodafone's Watford store yesterday and their employees have the worst customer service. I visited the store to hand in my phone for repair. It was covered by insurance, and the claim was reported and logged the day before. The insurance department said to go to the Vodafone store to hand in the phone for repair, which I thought would be a simple task, how wrong I was: 1. We waited 30 mins before we were served 2. Once I was seated the sales representative was rude and unhelpful 3. They could not find my account on the system 4. The account was only found after I suggested looking up my address 5. They took my phone and wiped it clean of data. 6. They then contacted the insurance department, but they were informed they couldn’t find our details on the system 7. We were then informed that they could not assist us and we would have to come back in a few days time. 8. On asking whether the problems we faced could be documented, they said they could not be documented 9. I then requested to see the manager 10. The manager said that the problems we faced could not be documented on the system 11. I requested that they document them by writing down the issue, so I had confirmation and evidence of what had happened, they said they could not. 12. I then asked for the manager’s name, they said they could not tell me their name. Key issues 1. 4 hours wasted coming into the Watford Vodafone store 2. Rude and unhelpful staff 3. Issue not resolved 4. Issue could not be documented 5. Manager could not tell me their full name Bad customer experience. At this point I would not recommend using Vodafone to anyone! Please contact me to resolve!

What a joke of a company!! Was told I could get an early upgrade instore by the online chat team.. they lied because I went to my local store that weekend and told no, it has to be done over the Phone. So I called the same day and placed an order for up grade and was told it would be with me 2 days later.. it's now 10 days later and still no phone!! Every single time I've called (around about 9) I'm told the order will be 'pushed through' and delivered to me within 2 working days.. the online chat team told me whilst I was online that they had called the couriers and that they would definitely be delivering my phone that day.. I called the couriers a few minutes later and, what a surprise! They hadn't called because there was no order for me on the couriers records.. hilarious! I still have no phone and I'm about to start paying for it as of tomorrow when Vodafone take money for the new tariff out of my account.. theft perhaps?.. the saga continues..

Stay away from Vodafone at all costs. If Vodafone is the only provider in your area, consider tossing your phone in the bin and getting back in touch with nature. Take up gardening, get a dog, go on long walks and live a life that's bright and free in the absence of this cancerous, lying, band of thieves. I have lived in the UK for 5 years now and signed up with Vodafone when I arrived. Service was always crappy but relatively devoid of nightmares until I wanted to cancel one of my mobile phone lines. It SEEMED like a simple procedure and I was informed that it was complied with on the spot. It was not. Time passed before I noticed my automatic billing had continued to pay to keep a second line open that I had not used. I brought this to Vodafone's attention and they claimed they had no record of me ever calling and that it was some figment of my imagination. There was nothing they could do... No refund just empty apologies. This was the second of several times. GUESS WHAT?! The line is STILL open. Every time they claim that I never asked them to close it and there's nothing they can do. Every time they tell me it's taken care of. Every time they tell me some new lie. Most recently they claim that it's IMPOSSIBLE to cancel anything by phone and that I have to go to the local office in person or write a letter. So who have I been talking to on the phone all this time? I would honestly sue them if it wouldn't cost me more time and money than these filthy lying, liars have already cost me.

I contacted the Vodafone customer service department today to ask for a PAC code as I believed my contract was due to end today and I want to move over to EE. The man I spoke to immediately had a bad attitude and seemed to take it as a personal insult that I wanted to leave. I explained that I found the network coverage with EE a lot better on my partner's phone and could get a good deal with them. He accused me of lying that the network coverage was poor at times because my average data usage is 384mb of 500mb per month and sarcastically said "well it must be working if you use that much!!!" I again explained that sometimes it worked and sometimes it was absolutely rubbish and said I'M the one using the phone so I know the experience I've had! To which he replied .. "So you must be quite a high Internet user then!!!" I simply replied "yes" and he just went "hmmm" in a sarcastic, patronising tone. I do use my phone internet when I'm out and about, that's what it is there for and I shouldn't have to justify that to some stuck up, rude, disrespectful idiot on the phone. I have been a customer with them for atleast 8-9 years and can't wait to leave. He was ecstatic to tell me that my contract doesn't end until September. I asked why it says 24th June on my online account? And he said because we allow you to upgrade 75 days before your contract is due to expire and underneath the upgrade date is my contract end date..I checked again..and no it isn't!! It doesn't explain these things anywhere. The FAQ section is rubbish and doesn't cover enough topics/questions. I ended up hanging up on him in anger and went on the live chat to make a complaint. I knew their customer service was meant to be rubbish but I didn't expect to be treated like a criminal for wanting to leave them. Absolute joke of a company. I would NEVER use them again and encourage others to avoid them like the plague.

Pile of pants continues as I get my PAK codes - Vodafone is a Joke!!! Only been with Vodafone for a week - not able to access or set up my on-line account as the wrong email was the 'Username' also they have two databases (one being C-Board/See-Board) and one wouldn't show my number while the other wouldn't show my account details. After speaking to the call-centre opps (four times) and two on-line 'Live' chats, still a problem and not able to set up or log in. Ask for PAK codes to move to EE. Phoned customer service for PAK codes, told have to go to the store to get them. At the store told have to phone customer service. ???? So, got the store to phone Vodafone customer service. One assistant couldn't handle Vodafone's own menu system, so gave up - got your store assistant manager to take over, he also had problems with Vodafone own call centre. in the end he spoken to 5 operators, and spent 45 mins on the phone. I was there for an hour to get PAK codes. It seems to be a problem that vodafone has two databases, and from reviewers who say they have been charged twice, the two databases could be why. Vodafone just have not got a system in place, and you will suffer if you go with them...

Vodafone UK, stop being total pants: get a 'contact us' system in place that works - an email would be good, this 'live chat' is b0ll0cks - talking to someone in India who doesn't know how to fix the on-line issue.... you have a FAQ section which isn't detailed nor cover a lot of real issues. Close the call centre in India, pay for some staff in the UK and spend the rest on a better on-line facilities for your customers. No point in spending a lot of money on your revamp stores with your after care service is PANTS.... 6 days & 4 calls to 191 since new contracts and still don't have on-line account or an answer to why the login details don't work.

Useless company - just stole almost £100 from me under threat that they will continue to charge if I don't for a contract that I terminated (after over 2 years) in March 2015. They are a disgrace. Looking for loopholes. Incompetent unhelpful staff. Avoid this company - go to O2 - they are much better despite the annoying cat.

Very poor customer service. I upgraded my phone last week and shortly after lost service for 2 days. I've been repeadelty ringing Vodafone to get my prepaid envelope to return my handset and cancel my contract but it's been a week and I still haven't been able to return it. I've sent a message to the CEO and all I've had so far is that someone will contact me. Can't wait to leave Vodafone.
