One star is too good for this company, but the only way I can write a review is to give the minimum! it is very disappointing when you take their salesman's advice, pay thousands of pounds on a bed and it breaks down within the guarantee period. I had their independent assessor visit my home at a cost to me, and tell me the mattress had not quite got to the stage for the need to replace it. Now I'm stuck with a mattress I struggle to sleep on because it roles towards the outer edge and I wake up aching. Dreadful customer service and I've spent £6,000 with them over the past 10 years - never again.

Really I wanted to give zero stars but couldnt. Worst experience of buying a mattress. Recieved it in march 2019 and there was a fault with it. 3 tears on one side of the mattress. Was told it was a manufacturers fault and I would receive a replacement. We are now august 2019 and I still havent revieved a new mattress. Told today that the order was cancelled 2 weeks ago as there wasnt sufficient evidence of damage. However once I told them to look back through emails from march all the pictures and their acceptance of fault was there. They apologised for the 5th time and said the same rubbish that I will be contacted in 3 weeks with a delivery date. Absolutely disgraceful company!! 5 months this has gone on now. Definitely taking this alot further and I will never buy from this company again

My experience - bed was brilliant at the start. 13 months in and I cannot sleep on the mattress anymore. It has caused massive pain to my back. I woke up this morning and could not move without being in agony. This has been going on since the start of August. They have said I need to pay to get an engineer to come inspect it and give a report. I have never heard of this, it is under warranty, for 5 years. When we called today we asked if we can speak to a manager or supervisor we was told it can't be escalated. It is not fit for purpose. It is causing me pain. And I know I can take this down the legal route. 1300 for 1 years good nights sleep. Bensons, fix it.

Without a doubt one of the worst retailers I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. From messing up the delivery to a situation now where they are not prepared to honour a guarantee on a mattress which has worn badly - after 2 years. It was a £1700 bed. Avoid, avoid, avoid

Just taken delivery of a benson bed. Only four legs. Should be eight. The local store was no help whatsoever. Contacted customer services. They will put some in the post. When are they going to arrive ?. Suppose I could sleep on the floor.

Absolutely awful service from the delivery of not 1 but 3 double mirrored wardrobes to the customer service we received was absolutely shocking . On of our wardrobes had been delivered damaged. I pointed it out to the delivery guys to which one said I'll take a picture but I have to leave it with you for you to sort . Cut a long story short spent the next 5 and a half weeks trying to sort it out with customer service team . If I heard " this is not a matter that needs escalating " I heard it a million times not to mention me doing all the chasing for the information that they should of informed me about. In the end they managed to sort the problem out another 2 and a half weeks later !! So waited 6 weeks for delivery and 8 weeks to sort it all out over a damaged wardrobe so 14 weeks wait !! . All the phone calls alone I made chasing it up had taken up 4 hours of my time all together . It was so stressful reduced me to tears . Given a £100 voucher for the inconvenience caused . Never again !! Customer service I received was awful .

1 star is 1 too many!!!! Terrible after sales still have no reply to a complaint 2 wks after I purchased mattress... they are quick enough taking your money but shocking at resolving a problem AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!

I’m giving Bensons five stars for being the worst company I’ve ever dealt with, we spent £1600 on a bed from them that the salesperson said was the best for our needs, within a year it has two huge sagging dents, either side and a big ridge in the middle making it extremely uncomfortable to sleep and even change sleeping position. I give them five stars for adding insult to injury as our only option was we had to pay £50 for a test that is so pathetic it would never show the extent of the problems, but that allows Bensons to get out of any obligation to honour their worthless guarantee, I also give them five stars at causing stress and upset, I am devastated to have been conned like this by what I thought was a reputable company, I wish I’d read review sites before I wasted my money

We spent £1600 on a bed from Bensons, after a lot of consideration in the store and advice from the salesperson as to what would be best for us with various back and joint problems we made our choice. Within a year the mattress is sagging, uncomfortable to sleep on and difficult to move sleeping position, we have since found out this is a common problem with Bensons beds. Bensons calls this ‘natural settlement ‘ and apparently we should have been aware, and been given information that this would happen 😳 we weren’t, and we definitely wouldn’t have brought the bed if we’d know this would happen. We though the guarantee that came with the bed would cover us, unfortunately not, their guarantee means nothing. Their solution is for the customer to pay £50 for an inspection from an ‘independent ‘ company ( employed by bedding companies) to come and inspect the bed. Our bed has two huge dents either side of a big ridge down the middle that are so bad they can even be seen when the bed is made up with a thick duvet . The inspection consisted of the man fluffing up the material covering the mattress and then dangling a piece of string across, when I pointed out the string wasn’t across where the dips were bad , he said he had to do it at a certain point on the bed 🤔 he then held a piece of paper next to the string, that apparently showed there is nothing wrong with the mattress. Bensons have told me comfort is not a consideration for their beds, I am so upset to have been ripped off in this way,

We ordered an IGel bed with 4 drawers. It arrived on 2 April as agreed, but unfortunately 1 of the drawers, small one, was broken and had to be replaced. New one arrived 21 May but they sent large drawer instead of small drawer. They reordered and eventually 3 months later we had the correct drawer and it fitted well. Because of all the hassle and inconvenience the manager of Blyth store arranged £100 of vouchers, for which we were grateful. Although this was a long wait we find the bed really comfortable and Davey kept us in the picture all along and that’s why we have given a 4 star review. If the hiccup with the drawer hadn’t happened we would have awarded a 5 star.

They will take your money from you but they won’t help you if you have a problem. After eight months we still don’t have the bed we ordered. The first mattress was dragged through the mud. After waiting a month for a replacement, they sent us the same mattress that had been through the mud and they then ‘lost’ our headboard. After another month we received our headboard and a mattress with a hole in it. Our most recent mattress delivery ended with a large fire in front of our house as the delivery lorry went up in flames. No calls from Bensons for Beds to follow up about the incident. A long wait time anytime you try to call the call centre to get through to unsympathetic and poorly trained staff. The staff in the shop say that there is nothing they can do to help us. Stay away from this inept and incompetent company.

Absolutely terrible experience, bed was faulty; had three replacements all worse than the on before, customer services were of no help, got in touch with ombudsmen who weren’t much better, eventually got my money back, bought the bed in January and got a refund 7 months later. They’re a joke!!!

Delivery was suppose to be pm and paid for pm delivery. Called me before 9am t say would be there between 9 and 10am. My husband works night had t get him up for them to turn up at 12.30pm anyway. I complained as I would like compensation. Refused but after getting cross with them agree delivery charge could be refunded. The customer service dept are so unhelpful and very rude Will never use again

The after sales care is awful and unprofessional. Trying hard the last 6 months to receive a missing part for my parents bed. No only do the delay for replying to emails they do not accept a signed delegated authority to act on their behalf. This is now has been given 3 times and the still ask to speak to the account holder. When you call customer service they do not answer but when you call Sales they answer straight away but they do not pass on the message

I Cannot stand up each and every morning after sleeping in a bed they recommended. Gone saggy after a few months, Yet I Go on holiday and sleep in a hotel for two weeks and I am Fresh as a daisy every day. Disgusted at bensons for beds worst beds in the world. Does the opposite of what they said.

two years after purchasing a bed and mattress the mattress springs in one corner collapsed. After two hours I managed to get through to customer services where a guy called STEPHEN REGAN starting to argue with me and spoke to me like I had no chance of a tech guy to come out. I explained that as per there schedule it was guaranteed for five years, he told me I would have to get three different tech guys out to inspect the mattress at my cost. He then continued to talk over me then hung up. So unprofessional The company should fire him before he causes more dissatisfaction to customers how he got through an interview is beyond me he needs a manager to train him STEPHEN REGAN WHAT A BAD REPRESENTATIVE HE IS FOR BENSON BEDS.i AM GOING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE WAY HE HANDLED MY CALL.

Do not buy anything from bensons for Bed... horriable customer service... mattress is less an a year old... got digs holes uneven level. Refused to replace the bed even though i have a warranty on the Mattress. Called customer service called me 'stupid' and when i started to argue i want to speak to a manager refused to deal with me... when i said i wont hang up the customer service advisor sd i wont hang up. Got so angry and then she hanged up the phone.. call back 45mins holding time. I think thats all they do with the customer.. treat them shity and do not care at all... extremely u happy!!

Do not buy from benson for beds I bough a super king size ottoman bed base and mattress for £2500 it said it has a 5 year warranty after a year the hydraulic pumps stopped holding the mattress up and became very heavy and one of pumps come a away from base and the metal frame was screwed to the wood base with 1 inch screws that broke away from the base when u lifted mattress up to put stuff under bed. I phoned benson told them they said there sending Fira bed service technicians an independent company to give the report a Fira technician come round the technician opened the bed to check it out he said it has faulty pumps due to manufacturing fault he closed the bed with the Hydraulic pump not connected and made a hole through the wooden base he said he was going send report to benson when I spoke to benson they said they have the report and it says it was caused from misuse so I made complaint and had back and fourth with the Terrible benson for beds customer service benson for beds then come back saying it’s not there fault there not accepting liability but they will send me new hydraulic pumps but they won’t fit them it’s not there fault I was not getting nowhere so I accepted the pumps and fitted them a year later they done the same thing they sent Fira technicians again he come round said it’s a faulty bed sent report to bensons there saying report says it’s from misuse again and it’s not there problem and refusing to fix it I am going to furniture ombudsman now waiting to hear what happens DO NOT SHOP AT BENSONS for beds
