Bought a new mistress in 2013, we told repeatedly that due to the type and value the mattress did not need turning or flipping. We were told to ignore the instruction book which, as this would cause damage to the mattress. 4 years down the line we the mattress is beginning to wear and Bensons will do nothing as we have been negligent. Had we been told we would be done the care, as were told not too we did not. Also new item when they sent FIRA, the slates have to be no more the 6cm apart.... our at 10. Shame the neglected to tell us this as the time of purchase

Recently purchased a bed from the Staines store and was assured by the manager that when it was delivered the men would dismantle the old double bed and remove it to the garage. When they turned up they said they were only there to deliver the new one and didn't even want to take it upstairs!! After a very unpleasant verbal battle and me disassembling the old bed myself they removed the old bed to the garage and took the new bed upstairs. We were assured in the shop by the manager that they would remove and reinstall the headboard but they absolutely refused. Also in the shop we asked whether the headboard screw hole positions would fit and when the new bed arrived we found the holes were not in a standard place so the existing headboard does not attach. There was also no provision to remove the old bed. I will never use or recommend Bensons beds to anyone, quite the opposite. All the manager was interested in was a sale and said anything to get that sale.

I'm feeling upset at the moment. Bought a new bed and within 2 mths back is hurting again. Will be approaching benson for beds to discuss.

Ordered a bed in January 2017, sales lady was very nice and when I questioned about poor reviews was assured that mainly people only put poor reviews up. Waited 8 weeks for delivery as expected. Was not informed delivery could only be Wednesday !. To accommodate this a family member be at my home for delivery. I know the wardrobe fitted on wall, however did ask family member to ask if it would fit on a different wall, which he did and awas assured it would fir. Unfortunately they obviously hadn't accounted for the wardrobe trim and width this it occluded my window. The drawer was damage and one of the lights did not work. The cable for the lights was jammed under the wardrobe. I emailed Bensons with my concerns and was basically told it had been signed to say we were happy with delivery. . Why someone would be happy with a damage drawer, broken light and cable jammed is beyond me !!. However it was arranged for the problems yo be rectified on 23rd April. Wardrobe was moved , light fixed. But wrong drawer ordered. Family member phonedMon 24 and I e-mailed. From phone call was told that we could not be updated until Wednesday. Phoned Wednesday, put through to manufacturers in Germany. Told drawer would not be in country for another 2 weeks ! . Until this drawer is fitted, I cannot reassemble my bed and am unable to order a mattress due to limited space. Your customer service is the worst I have ever experienced, I'm still waiting for a reply to my e-mail

My husband and I were interested in buying a single bed ,sold as seen in Bensons ,we asked the simple question what would happen if the bed got damaged when being delivered to us as it wouldn't be packaged as new , the salesman who actually turned out to be the manager was not only very rude but extremely sacastic saying what do you expect when you buy sold as seen theirs going to be damage , we said we had seen the two chips on the bed and accepted it but asked our question again getting more sarcastic replies before he stomped off , what terrible customer service , shame on you Bensons !

I wouldn't even rate it 1 star, Benson for Beds is terrible and I regret my purchase. The base of my bed is damaged, the delivery men would have noticed it but ignored it. I have since Oct 16 have been trying to get this replaced. Calling Customer Services (CS) is a joke with waiting times over 20 minutes and it doesn't matter what time you call, they are always experiencing high level of calls. I last spoke to CS on the 27th Feb 17 who assured me that an urgent replacement will be arranged - 4 weeks. Having chased Benson Beds again, the telephone call had not been logged nor had a replacement been ordered - so 8/9 weeks on.... further delays. I requested details for the complaints department, only to be told that the lady I'm speaking with is the contact!!! who no longer wanted to deal with his since my annoyance must have come through in my tone. I refuse to call CS due to its long waiting time and always email. Shocking, that customers are treated like this. I guess it doesn't matter now that the good are paid for!

Spent £2000 on furniture and when it was delivered the driver damaged our floor in our new flat (didn't use the right equipment to carry the goods in) then hid the damage with the box so we didn't notice till they left. We called customer service who told us the driver would not take responsibility and therefore we cannot do anything even though we sent proof of pictures (before and after) of the damage. Customer service were very rude which added to the frustration we already feel at having what was supposed to be a trusted company cause visible damage to our beautiful new flat - very disappointed especially as customer service have also told us that we are unable to refund he items because of the wait - even though this wait was due to ongoing enquiries on this issue. Will never shop with bensons for beds again and very disappointed about the whole situation. Very unprofessional bensons for beds for not taking responsibility for the damage you caused and rude behaviour of more than one of your customer service team.

staff in Bensons in Hartlepool made my blood boil today, and because of that we decided not to buy anything from them. Now when I read the reviews I am so glad we didn't!

The bed base was damaged when it was delivered in Oct 16. I have had to constantly chase for updates, 7 months on I am still waiting for the replacement. Just sent yet another chaser today.

TERRIBLE customer service. 5 year warranty is worthless! They do not reply to calls or emails at all, they have admitted its faulty after 6 months and will replace with the same faulty mattress but we want a refund or a different mattress which they refuse even though they admit settlement and its costing us both a lot in physio, the 5 year warranty means nothing, they will send an engineer out with no time frame (full working day off work) to look at it for 3 seconds and say it looks in good condition and that he knows nothing about memory foam, clearly working in their pockets as they have admitted the settlement from the photos. Have been complaining for 5 months and still no refund or mattress and terrible manors.

We got one pillow called "iGel Temperature control pillow". The pillow smells very bad, Like mould. We returned the pillow to the store. We did not get refund. The staffs at the stores said they can not smell anything. I guess they will never use such pillow by themselves. But why they recommend us to buy such pillows (a staff who is around 60 years old)? Simple a bad staff or a bad company? Can not believe this kind of product is allowed to sell in the market. Very sad to see such things are happening. The Bensons for beds website does not let us to upload a review.

Delivery did not turn up at the appointed time after receiving a call from the delivery driver on the day of the delivery saying "your bed is not in the van and when we checked the warehouse yesterday we couldn't find it" was advised to speak to customer services so after a 25 minute wait spoke to customer services who seemed poorly trained and promised a call back as they didn't know why my bed hadn't been delivered yet failed to call me back. Wrote a lengthy email complaining yet still faced an uncertain new delivery date as I got a response from their delivery dept stating one date and another date from the customer services department. Eventually the bed got delivered but the headboard was damaged. A delivery date was arranged for a replacement headboard but again it never turned up. Bensons for beds in my opinion are a shambolic company and if you don't want needless aggravation do not buy a bed from them.

Diabolic in all departments ok when they are trying to sell the bed but after that it got worse as the weeks went on ordered the bed on 29.11.16 delv on the 14.12.16 which it was. We found the mattress was tooooo hard so on the 2.1.17 went in to arrange a softer mattress to be delivered on 25.1.17. Had a call on that morning to say it wasn't on the lorry it was lost!!!! 2weeks of phone calls to and from customer service (saying they were looking for it !!!!) I asked how long they would look for it before they ordered another they said 2 weeks most of the people I spoke to were no help what so ever they said I would get compensation I didn't !! Second mattress did turn up over 2 weeks later but when I asked fi they could be careful when taking it upstairs the English guy pushed a piece of paper in front of me and said they were NOT responsible for any damage done so more or else he didn't bother at all about being careful so upsetting then said he had no paper work and would not be allowed to collect the bed I had and take it back he did in the end as there was no room at all for 2 beds anywhere I suggest not using this firm awfull experience never will use these again and advise anyone that is thinking of using them t look elswhere

we had 2 failed deliverys then the delivery men got muddy footprints all over my new carpets,then a few months later one side of the gell mattress has failed and got a great big hole in it but apparently thats "normal" wear my last email from cs was verging on the rude we wont be ever buying from these again

We purchased a Divan King size bed for 2.500£ when the delivery guys arrived they refused to help me removing a small sized shelf from the floor despite the fact that I am pregnant and not allowed to lift heavy. They kept saying sorry we are not allowed and we will lose our bonus if we touch anything that isn't ours. I had tears in my eyes as I had to remove the shelf myself while being 7 months pregnant. These men were physically strong and it would have been easy for them to do it. However for me it was very difficult and I am suffering from severe pain ever since. Appalling greedy company who is quick in taking your money but rubbish service. Never again!

They sell mattress with 40 night try and never take it back. There technicians mark every problem as character of mattress and not manufacturing fault and they refuse to refund or return. I had a mattress, spend £1100 on it and it pressed from side by 3 cm in just 10 days, I reported it back and they send a technician who ask me many questions and then reported back that I didn't follow guidelines. (Guidelines which were never given to me) and they refuse that 40 night try as well which I should get after 10% deduction. Never recommend Bensons.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to you for the dealings I have had with you over a very traumatic period.My wife was in hospital having had a leg amputated and in preparing for her to come home I was advised I needed an adjustable bed.I met with Andy at Bensons Cardiff store and he was extremely efficient and understanding about the specific requirements Delivery was arranged at a precise time so as not to interfere with my hospital visits.This process went like clockwork.However before my wife could come home her condition had deteriorated and she required a hoist to get in and out of bed.This necessitated a bed with sufficient space underneath to accommodate the hoist.The bed we had did not meet thse new requirements.The company agreed to take the bed back free of charge.This was again done efficiently.I am not a person who is easily pleased but I still found your service excellent-perhaps magnificent would be a better word. Terrible company that leaves their customers frustrated. I bought two mattresses and two bed from them over two months ago from Tottenham Court Road branch. The sales persons insist that the delivery will take just a few weeks after placing an order. So I guess they want to sell their product and get their commission without concerning the time and satisfaction of their customer at all. When I purchase the bed on 25th Jan 2017 they told me delivery would be four weeks, and I will receive mattress first on 8th of Feb, then two weeks after on 22nd of Feb, I am going to receive the bed frame (never happened). First, they send mattress to the wrong address initially and took almost 3 hours wasting my time to find the address. Then after going to the store to find out about the delivery of the bed frame at Tottenham Court Road branch, the guy told me we should have received a mail letter by now from the company regarding the delivery date (another lie) who does that, which company communicate with their customer through a letter. After waiting 8 weeks without a bed from the time of ordering, and constant lies, It is now reported that the store places the order month after I purchase (on 22 Feb) and because of that, they delay on the delivery and they can not do anything nor they can not give me an exact time for the delivery. After several phone calls to shop, customer service, someone said that they would ring us back - no one ever rang us back - we kept ringing to find out about delivery time. In the end, the company is not interested in dealing with customer complaints, very poor customer service skills, extremely unorganised delivery , No communication with customers what so ever. Will never shop at Benson for Beds ever again.

Absolute joke, bought a matteress six months ago. All good for the first few months and then we started to notice it sagging. We decided to buy a mattress topper just to save the headache, that has molded into the sag! Decided to raise a complaint, as by this stage we are sleeping in the spare room. They sent and inspector, they a piece of string with two weights over the mattress, and it's within the tolerances, nothing wrong! The bloody top layer of the matteress has separated from the springs, erm... no weight on it, of course it will rise! Called customer services, said that the report is final, I can go to the Ombudsman!! Got to buy a new mattress now as it's not worth the headache! Benson for beds should be ashamed of themselves!
