went in to currys to buy a rangemaster I had seen on line with this store ! the assistant said you cannot buy it instore you will have to go on line ok I thought I don't buy things on line but I will have ago! I saw a phone number on line so I rang and asked how do I explain on line that I need it to be electric and l.p.g. she said I can take your order over the phone so I agreed ! bought the cooker and the hood over the phone ! she said it will be there in 5 days ! 5 days went by hood but no cooker 1 rang up currys the guy said sorry its out of stock ! will be in on the 30th November ! by this time I had no cooker the guy said have you rang rangemaster for a l.p.g.conversion kit I said I did not know I had to ! so he put me through and I ordered one I was told my cooker was coming the following Monday ! the delivery man rang me Monday morning to say he would be here afternoon he said its electric and gas I said yes l.p.g.he said I cannot fit it I am not an l.p.g.fitter I will have to take it back to the warehouse ! I later got a call to say they would deliver it Wednesday ! by this time I had had no cooker for 2 weeks ! they fitted the cooker but the cast iron supports where warped and out of line the pans rocked and the oven door would not close properly !after 45 minutes on the phone to currys they sent a fitter out ! he agreed about the pan supports he said I will order you some they will be here in 3to5 days ! never arrived so an hour on the phone again being cut off twice the lady said they have not been ordered I will order them !again they never arrived ! another hour on the phone being cut off 3 times a guy from currys put me through to rangemaster as I demanded a rangemaster engineer to come out ! he came out and said the cooker needed new pan supports and a new oven door you need to contact currys for your money back but when I previously asked for that they said we cannot do that because its over 30 days ! this has been going on since day one !! are they for real ! STAY AWAY FROM CURRYS !!If I had payed £500.00 for this cooker I I could possibly understand it but I payed a lot a lot of money for a faulty cooker and the after service with currys is absolutely disgusting !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Failed to deliver twice due to missing item and health and safety of road being "too narrow". Could not get refund promptly to purchase from elsewhere.

Team KnowHow Cloud Customer Service is appalling. Especially as you pay for this cloud and there are plenty you can get for free. Unacceptably slow to respond (had to complain about this to actually get a response at all), had a different person every email, patronising in their questions and suggestions... Would not recommend - just use the free clouds that are available.

Purchasing is easy and smooth. Just in case you lost your record of your purchase, even after 12 months, they can still find your transaction in their system amd still able to assist you with your concerns.

Phoned thursday (currys had item returned 48 hours previously) told not scanned in would take about 5 days till that happened then replacement sent. AMAZON we love you. tried to do business with a UK retailer but they obviously dont want my money and business. AVOID THEM

Went to the Stevenage branch. Was approached by a pushy member of staff who I told I wanted to browse. She verbally abused me. I complained to the manager and customer services. I never got an apology. Customer services wrote to me saying they investigate complaints but never provide feedback to customers to protect their staff. Their final comment was “ we value your custom and hope you continue to use our stores” I don’t think so.

Bought a cooker online early January. On 10th Jan Currys sent installation people before cooker was delivered and they wouldn't wait 16 minutes for cooker to arrive. They said our electrics were wrong but the cooker is a Smeg dual fuel and has a 13 amp plug but they refused to believe this and wanted to finish for the day blaming schools traffic. Cooker then did not arrive at all. Received text to say cooker coming on Sunday 13th. Cancelled family arrangements but cooker again did not arrive. Several hours of frustrating telephone calls to customer services achieved nothing other than cooker coming on 24th Jan. If it doesn't I will cancel and buy it elsewhere. Curry's dont seem to realise that when they give a four hour timeslot it would help if they managed to deliver the cooker before the installation people arrive or arrange for both cooker and engineers to come together. I will never buy from Currys again.

Absolute disgusted with currys brought a bran new washing machine 16 weeks ago. The drum has fallen and the seals have gone. Currys told me that samsung have to repair it as it is over 30 days old. This is terrible having to have it fixed when I have only had 16 weeks. I argued for them to replace it but they refused. I am now seeking legal advice. I will never shop at currys again I will go else where.

Giving 1* only because that is the minimum available! My husband and I bought an integrated fridge/freezer from Currys (in-store) at Thurrock Lakeside just after Christmas. Although the sample fridge on display had a 50/50 split, we told the sales lady that we require a 70/30 split - which is also available in that range. She checked on their system and confirmed that they had the 70/30 available for delivery. To be honest, we could not have overstated our requirements and she continuously reassured us that our preference was what she had ordered - she even affirmed herself by stating that she had spoken to her manager who she said also confirmed that everything should be to our spec (we did see her talking to him but we are unable to confirm what communication took place). The delivery/installation/disposal was paid for and date agreed for Sunday 13th January (two weeks after purchase). The sales person also reassured us that apart from getting our receipt by email, we will also receive another email to confirm that our order is the 70/30 split. We left the store feeling reassured and looking forward to getting our new fridge/freezer. We never received the confirmation email by the way! When the TeamKnowHow guys arrived, they were very professional and got on with the job in hand by removing my old fridge/freezer. On off-loading the delivered item they realised that it was a 50/50 split! They advised me of this error and said that I'd need to contact the store to re-arrange another delivery date. Unfortunately, I have a 7-working day commitment as I work for myself so I told them that this would be difficult. > The two delivery guys got on the phone - one to TeamKnowHow and the other to Currys customer service. Apparently the guy on the other end of the phone at TeamKnowHow offices suggested that the only other option I have if I was not happy to reschedule a different delivery date would be for me to accept the 50/50 split in place of the 70/30 that we had ordered. I found this quite insensitive, insulting, patronising and undermining to say the least. I could not accept the swap option because we have the integrated kitchen cabinet sized for 70/30 fit only. At this stage my old fridge/freezer had been removed leaving us without a fridge. It would have been nice if they could have offered a temporary fridge for use while we agree on a mutually convenient day for the delivery of replacement product! The delivery guy on the other end of the telephone to customer service reported that customer service had advised that they could plug the new fridge/freezer in for my use until the replacement is available and they would do a swap. As both Currys and the logistics company were singing from different hymn sheet, I was advised by the delivery person that they have been told that we should go to my local store together. I think that this was only agreed after I refused to allow them to remove the delivered fridge until something was done to address my delivery issue. On getting to the store I was met by a far-removed manager who told me that 1) they haven't got an interim fridge to offer me 2) that we had ordered the good that was delivered to us, and that he was not prepared to address/consider my account of our sales encounter at the Thurrock store. After much debate back and forth, I agreed to do a refund/ resale for the correct item as I need a fridge to store food and groceries and other essentials. I am not holding my breath but can only hope that they have entered the correct item code this time! 2) delivery date - the sales person who ran my refund/resale through the system promised to get me the delivery for a date that is suitable for me. We agreed Saturday 19th January. He said that he is unable to input this booking on to the system but that he would speak to the responsible department the next day Monday 14th January and then give me a call to confirm time etc. I did not get a call from the salesman or anyone from Currys, and have still not received the call as of today Tuesday 15th Jan. This means that I have paid for the goods, but have no date agreed/confirmed for my delivery plus I do not have any fridge to store my groceries, and other essentials. 3) Today, Tues 15th Jan I rang the 03445610000 number @ approx 10:55am, and asked to speak to the salesman that assisted on Sunday. He had advised that I could call the number on the receipt and ask to speak to him if I had any queries. So he gave me his first name only. However, I was told today that unless I have his second name, they cannot connect me to the person or store. The person that answered the phone said that he is unable to attest to my account of the interaction in store on Sunday 13th and that he is only willing to offer me the dates that he can see on the system, of which Saturday is not an option. At the best, he promised to send an email to the store with the hope that someone would contact me within a 24-hour window. He confirmed my contact number etc. to facilitate the engagement. I am still waiting - time now 17:51hrs. My encounter with Currys have been extremely frustrating at all levels - from the shop floor to engagement with management representative. It is the most appalling/ humiliating experience. I still do not have a delivery date!!!! I am hoping that Currys would do the honourable thing and provide my fridge this Saturday 19th as promised. It is disgraceful and highly disappointing to know that the faces that represent such an organisation as Currys can provide false promises just to get a sale, and also hush their customers out of the store, only to default on all grounds!

I returned a broken printer to currys. It stop printing properly. They haven't got same printer in stock for exchange, which I bought it about 5month ago. There was exatcly same function and design printer but now with different model number and higher price. I had to exchange to that one, and at least I had to pay different of price only half. But in other hand, I have had to pay for same function thing extra money, even because of them. Not sure is it legal, might be I could do smth with consumer rights, but I do not bother that much, just share my experience with you. Thanks

Don't usually complain about, well anything really ....but just come away from Currys in Burnley absolutely totally demoralised....long long story short, son bought a new washer on the 10th December, delivery date Boxing day....this date was at an extra cost, it is now the 13th January, no washer. Dates come and gone, spoke to Nigel from Currys who said it wasn't their problem and the complaint was with the delivery firm Know How. I tried to put across that surely any items bought were still Currys responsibility until delivered to the customer. Apparently not!! A phone call was made to the delivery firm that apparently I have a complaint with, asked Nigel why I couldn't speak to them he said they didn't want to speak to me! We were told Currys had done all they could. Outcome is delivery date is now 15th Jan and they suggested they were delivering three days early. Currys still not honouring prepaid time slot and again people having to take time off work for a delivery that may or may not arrive.... apologies for long rant, and I do realise working with the general public can be a very demanding job but surely customer care should be paramount. I was given a complaint number which I rang immediately in the car park. Told I needed a reference no. and to go back in store for it. Just as helpful again and told in store they couldn't supply that either.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I recently purchased a TV and television/broadband deal at the same time as I was told by the member of Curry’s sales staff (I won't name him at this time) that in doing so Currys would give me 100 pounds cash back. The member of staff told me that after I signed up to the broadband/tv deal and purchased a TV at the same time I would then receive an email with a link on it to claim my 100 pounds cash back. He said that this email may take a number of weeks as I would have to pay direct debit monthly instalments for the broadband/tv deal first to show that I am fulfilling the requirements of the contract. He said after I have made these direct debit payments I would then receive an email with a link on it to claim my 100 pounds. I made a couple of direct payments and checked my emails on a regular basis but the email for my 100 pound cash back never came. I then went into the Currys store where I made my original purchase (Scunthorpe branch) and was told that they do not deal with the cash back and that I needed to call customer services. After calling customer services they said they do not deal with the cash back deals and gave me another number for a said external company who deal with the cash back. I then called this company only to be told that an email would have been automatically sent and now it had past a 60 day cut off period and I am no longer entitled to the 100 pound cash back! I was never told in store when I made my original purchase that there was any cut off period for claiming, instead I was told to wait for the email which would take several weeks! I then went back to the Currys store where I made my original purchase to tell them what had happened and the member of staff who sold me the deal in the first place said he would look into this. A week later I received a phone call from this member of staff saying that an email would have been automatically sent to me and that it might have gone to my junk mail, but as it is past the 60 day cut off period I'm no longer entitled to my cash back! I told him that I have checked my emails, including junk folder, and that I have never received an email as I have been checking on a regular basis to claim my cash back. I also asked him why I was never informed of a 60 day cut off for the cash back when I made the purchase, to which there was no reply from him. He said he would look into it again as I never received an email. He called me back the following day to say Currys don't keep any record of emails sent, but one would have gone automatically and I can no longer claim my cash back as it was past 60 days! So when I made the original purchase I was told to wait several weeks for an email to claim my money, which is exactly what I did. But in doing what I was told it then put my past a 60 day cut off which I wasn't informed of. Also I was told that the email would have been sent, though they keep no record of this, but on checking my emails regularly (including looking through spam emails retrospectively) I never received this email. So now I am the one without the 100 pounds I was promised, after spending much time chasing the issue and for doing exactly what I was told. I find the whole experience disgusting and feel that Currys have held back on information during my original purchase and also not fulfilled their promise of this email, and in doing so have successfully conned me out of 100 pounds. It makes me wonder if this is how the company operates then are they to be trusted on any aspects of any sales they are making?

It would take too long to list how much of a disaster customer service has been, both from Team KnowHow and Currys own representatives. I ordered a television online 2 months ago, was told on multiple occasions it would be delivered on certain dates, all of which never came true. Having to pay for phone calls to the 1890 customer service number (The only phone number available is a pay to use one), I was told incorrect information on every contact. Eventually, I gave up and asked for a refund, after missing out on a day of work and countless hours spent on hold on the phone, (being charged) and countless emails. They couldn't even get that right.... I was told two days ago, five working days AFTER my refund request was made, that there was some 'service error made', on their end, which meant I have to wait yet another 7(?!) working days for my refund on a product I was promised and had paid for TWO MONTHS ago.

Contacted Currys just before Christmas about a faulty hoover which was out of warranty. I expected to be fobbed off and told nothing could be done but was pleasantly surprised by Currys response. They phoned very promptly and apologised for the faulty hoover, they couldn't repair or replace as hoover warranties only run 12 months but they were prepared to refund a good proportion of the original price toward a replacement, they even refunded to my bank rather than a credit note I could only spend with them. Very impressed with level of customer service and prompt resolution, definitely five stars

Purchased a quite expensive TV. Salesman in store promised delivery and a full set up of the TV and all other devises. I was assured there would be no problems. We paid the extra money for this service. On delivery day a foreign gentleman and his partner came and I had difficulty understanding them. They stated they could put all the wiring in to the TV etc but could not set up the TV as it was cold and it had to be warmed for an hour prior to switching on. He said somebody else could come in a day or so to finish the set up. I explained this was not what had been promised. I was then told salesmen say anything to get sales. After a rather difficult exchange he agreed to set it up. His knowledge to me seemed limited. He did his best and left. It was left up to us to finish most of the set up. There was no explanation on how the TV operated. Freeview was not set up and the Virgin Media sound control was not working. We sorted that out but could not get Freeview. After 15 min wait on the help line the help operator stated that Freeview had never been set up. He took over the TV and sorted the problem. Terrible after sales service; some of the problem was lack of communication but there was no excuse for not doing what we were told would happen and what we paid for in store. I will think very hard before purchasing from Curry's in the future.
