This is an absolute joke 5 out of 5 beds broke! And no one was prepared to help!

Kept booking me in for delivery and then cancelling the delivery as the item was not in stock. Eventually cancelled the order due to their complete incompetence. Why would you arrange delivery (so I have to take time off work) when the items are not in stockšŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Their customer service is diabolical- five year warranty on my bed and two years later they refuse to look at it when the wooden base has broken! Was told two different things by two people and when I asked to speak to a manager was told that I couldnā€™t as my complaint wasnā€™t valid!!! Bought several beds from them NEVER AGAIN!! Quick enough to sell to you but dump you when there is an issue. Like others I have been told I have to pay for someone to come and look at the bed! Disgusting customer service - avoid at all costs - warranty isnā€™t worth the paper itā€™s written on.

Benson for Beds are disgraceful. After my mum bought a complete bed from them in May, the mattress began to sink in the middle. They sent out one of their engineers who advised on his report that the mattress was fine. This mattress is not fine and not fit for purpose. My parents are elderly and they are being fobbed off. I have sent countless emails to Benson For Beds attaching my own photos, have advised them I will approach BBC Watchdog, trading standards and the furniture ombudsman if my parent's mattress is not replaced with the mattress chosen at the time of purchase. They have still no replied to my emails. I spoke with the store manager at the store where the bed was purchased from and she encouraged me to escalate to Watchdog ETC. What does this say about them when their own staff appear to have doubts also. I have provided Benson For Beds with my mums name, order number and customer reference number. I have asked Benson for Beds to contact my mum to arrange a suitable date and time to deliver a mattress that is fit for purpose.

Delivered on time thumbs up one star, holding onto the other 4 stars as the wrong coloured wardrobe was received and the delivery drivers were over 7 hours later with the correct one, and when removing the wrong wardrobe I can guarantee they damaged part of it in a rush because Iā€™m missing a small chunk of wall above my stairway and they left the cover strip hanging

After purchasing my bed from bensons, 16 months later the frame of the bed collapsed due to a huge wood knot, i rang bensons and after 42 minutes my call was answered, explained the problem, i was told i had to get and pay for a bed technician to come and diagnose the problem and send in the report to them, which i did, i sent in all relevant, and waited patiently for a reply, two wks passed and nothing, rang on 6 occasions and after waiting over 30 minutes on each call hung up. So waited still and nothing, rang again and waited 38 minutes for someone to answer and explained all, I asked why no one had replied to my emails (3) of them, they were busy!!! Anyhow I have now been promised a new bed frame sometime when available, and i am still waiting for my bed technician bed report- refund. I certainly wonā€™t be using bensons again.

Avoid using Bensons For Beds at all costs!! Itā€™s been Almost a month and we donā€™t have any resolution, we are still sleeping with our mattress on the floor!! We Ordered a bed base set (two part king ottoman) which was delivered with a fault. We contacted the store to get them to collect and replace the bases. They did not collect or get back to us after the 7-10 days that they said it would take. We have called and sent numerous emails without any luck. Finally we spoke to the store and the customer services again saying we wanted a full refund, we were told they would collect the bed bases in 7-10 days and refund us a week later. The bases have not been collected, 21 days later! Absolutely shocking customer service!

I wish I can give minus one star... The customer service is aweful. I bought two beds and three bedside tables from them last year. Then I have suffered an endless mould issue on all the items. Moreover, endless phone call to their customer service became my new nightmare. I sent their photos and forwarded the investigation report from independent company to show the damage. They agreed with the replacement and reselection at the first time. Then they changed their mind for some reasons and withdrawed the replacement and reselection. When I phoned them, they said that the investigation report was wrong and they would like to have another technian to investigate. I then phoned the investigation company, they said they found the report was not conclusive! I felt both the investigation company and bensons for beds are on the same side!! I will never ever to buy anything from bensons for beds!! Of course, no recommendation either!!!!

I sent an email with photos to Bensons for Beds showing my mattress sagging. Was told that I had to pay for an independent technician to decide if I had a case. The mattress is still under warranty. When I objected ā€œit was suggested I read my consumer rights ā€œ I suggest that Bensons gives training on how to behave in customer services and takes responsibility for these issues. Disgusting treatment. Advice to anyone thinking of using Bensons DONT.

I sent photos of the side of our mattress that was sagging to customer service. After not receiving any acknowledgement I telephoned. I was told I had to arrange a private assessment by Homeserve and pay for it! The mattress is still in warranty.This would be reimbursed IF they agreed with the findings šŸ˜” when I objected I was told ā€œI suggest you read your consumer rights ā€œ. I suggest Bensons brushes up its customer service and puts the customers rights first.

8 weeks ago we up ended this bed to have new carpet fitted and decorate, on doing this we discovered the casters were fractured or completely broken away. We contacted Benson's customer service, which by the way, according to BT is a premium rate no - BRILLIANT! !! We had no joy, so took the broken casters into Taunton store who contacted customer service, 3 weeks and numerous phone calls, Taunton contacted customer service again, who in turn rang me to say they would be delivered in 5 working days.... NO... so contacted Taunton again and they were told 12 working days, so,we are into day 10 and still no notification as to when or how these will be delivered. We had to have 1 replaced 2 years after the bed was delivered, it's not possible to move this, so is as was last seen. This is a Ā£1700 bed, the service is appaling, or though Taunton store has tried to help, but as they said - it's not their responsibility

Ordered a mattress, they sent the wrong one !! A 4 not a 3 as ordered the receipt even says 3 !! The assistant refused to do anything about it, insisting that I ordered it ,, and would have to wait 40 nights and claim under the sleep guarantee.. customers SERVICES are a joke average 45 minute wait and won't and can't do anything without store approval,, I'm contacting trading standards as as far as I'm concerned they've stolen my money now, I didn't get wat I paid for!!

DO NOT use this company. Would give a minus star rating if that was possible!! Bought 2 beds, with mattresses last July, one of the mattresses is sagging really badly, emailed Bensons & after 3 weeks they replied asking for photos, with "props" to prove the problem. i emailed them back saying the problem was only evident when the bed was being slept on, heard nothing back, so rang the "customer service" (thats a joke) line, after being on hold for 35 minutes, I was told that because it was purchased more than 6 months ago, the onus was on us to prove a fault, which would mean us paying for a "technician" to come out & have a look, if they decided there was a manufacturing fault then our money would be refunded. Of course it was stressed that this technician is independent and no way they work for Bensons, yea right!!! Absolutely appalling service, would never even buy a pillow from them again!!!

Absolutely appalling after sales service. Our bed was delivered without a head board we were told it would follow in a couple of days, it was eventually delivered by a courier a week later (we had paid for fitting). The bed creaks like it's 10 years old. We finally managed to get hold of customer service and they sent someone out, he said the bed was too heavy for the casters ( we ordered gliders) an needed to be on gliders! He said he would inform them and it would be sorted. After 2 weeks of us chasing this up nothing still has been done we cannot sleep in the bed because it's so noisy and the only contact with Bensons is if we have got the time to spend 40 minutes to get through to customer services just to be told a load of lies.

Do Not use this company especially the Guiseley store. The whole service was terrible from the moment we placed our Ā£2000 order and the attitude towards customers is disgusting!!! having waited over 2 months for some wardrobes we found they were the wrong ones, we tried to change to the correct ones and were given another 2 months for delivery and then wait even longer for it to be installed, when trying to come up with a more suitable solution the Manager of the Guiseley store was not interested and just kept saying call customer services even though it was her personally that made this error initially, she would not give me any area manager details and after asking her to sort this issue for me she just kept saying no and eventually put the phone down on me. Then when you try and contact customer service you are just constantly on hold, the whole thing is a joke so do not shop here!!

would have given zero stars if I could. Bed frame damaged on delivery. was told by customer services that a new headboard would be ordered and the old one taken away. Promised a call 2 weeks later to check on replacement order.... no call. Headboard delivered, but original damaged one left as courier refused to take it. Called cust services and after an hours wait was told that damaged parts are not collected and it's up to the cust to dispose of it. William ,the man I dealt with, had no empathy and basically told me that was the only option. Fabulous business!! Never again! Wish I had stuck with Dreams!!

Last October my wife placed an order for a bed and bedroom furniture totalling over Ā£3000 paid in full on the date of order, the furniture in question is of excellent quality and we are happy, however initially the order was mixed up and we had to wait 12 weeks for the correct chest of drawers to arrive. When they arrived one of the chest of drawers had damage to the top, this was discovered by the furniture builders that do work for Bensons. So another top was ordered 12 weeks later this arrived at store and this one was also damaged on the corner, ā€œobviously been droppedā€, this was then reordered at the Rayleigh Essex store by Graham who then told us that he had agreed with the area manager to compensate us Ā£150 but only on completion and once we were satisfied. Last week the new top arrived at the store ā€œstill hasnā€™t been installed yetā€ we were then offered Ā£50 compensation, my wife mentioned that we were offered Ā£150 by Graham so how come this has now been changed to Ā£50, after calls to CC to and throw we have been told take it or leave it if you donā€™t like it policy is for you to go to the Ombudsman. If we had gone through finance we wouldnā€™t have started paying until the order was fully satisfied. I have since had a reply from Carl a senior for esculations which I will post below, shocking experienece with this company. Thank you for your recent contact. My name is Carl and I am a Senior Advisor on the High Level Escalations Team. We work on behalf of the MD and CEOs as they do not deal with customer complaints themselves. I am sorry for the issues that you have had on your order, I appreciate the frustration that this must have caused. However, compensation is always a good will gesture and is not something that is required to be offered by law. In saying that, we do realise that there are occasions where it is appropriate to offer a good will gesture as an apology for the issues that a customer has had to suffer through, but we have to put limits on what we offer our customers. In your case, the advisors that you have spoken to have offered the most that they can. We cannot offer you Ā£150 as this is way over the limit of what is allowed and I am very sorry if this has been offered to you in error. However, in order to find a resolution, I can increase the offer of compensation to Ā£75, but this would be our full and final offer. If you are still not happy with this amount, then you would have to seek out third party advice from Trading Standards or Citizens Advice, or as you have been previously advised, take up your case with The Furniture Ombudsman. Again, I am very sorry. I know this is not the answer that you would have been hoping for, but we have now offered you all that we can. Bought a i gel mattress cost me nearly Ā£1000 after 6 months of use both myself and my wife are in agony when we get up in the morning we have told bensons this and they donā€™t wonā€™t to know very poor customer care wont buy off bensons again Iā€™d rather sleep in a sleeping bag
