DON'T BUY A WARDROBE FROM BENSONS! Wardrobes were delivered in March 2019 and when the driver opened the van, the parts had not been tied to the side of the van correctly and surprise surprise numerous parts were damaged. It took 6 months and 38 phone calls to be sorted. I was originally told the parts would be reordered and would take 6 weeks to arrive. 6 weeks later, got a phone call to say my parts had been lost in transit (only to be then told they were damaged). Benson's re-ordered the parts and told me that I needed to wait another 6 weeks. 6 weeks later got another phone call to say the manufacturer in Germany can no longer supply the parts and that as a gesture of goodwill they would replace both wardrobes were newer "soft closing" versions. I told them I needed to check with the wife and I would ring them back to confirm. Cue several phone calls where they told me the parts were still due to be delivered - imagine the frustration of trying to tell them that according to someone else on their staff had told me they were no longer being delivered. Anyway - eventually realised their mistake and the old wardrobes were dismantled, the new wardrobes were delivered (but were not soft closing) and then had to wait 10 days were them to be erected by servicor. I was promised that on successful delivery I would receive a gesture of goodwill payment. I didn't, so I phoned them and they offered £40 - WOW. In short - avoid at all costs. Terrible customer service, no ownership, poor communications. SHAMBOLIC

1. Furniture arrived and delivery men would not take it up the stairs to the bedroom...rude staff. Once they finally agreed they broke the item and it had to be returned 2. Servicemen were to come another agreed date to fix the delivered furniture however they used an excuse of 'all the parts aren't here' and left. 3. Still waiting on service men to fix our furniture and for our new unbroken item to be delivered however no one has been in touch. Wish I had purchased furniture from elsewhere. Something that was meant to be delivered and fixed within 6 weeks is an ongoing problem now for almost 3 months!

Bed broken more than 6weeks for repair to take place. Meanwhile I still have to sleep in it potentially making it worse. Customer service tell you one thing and then contradict themselves later in the conversation.

The mattress stinks, I mean it literally stinks! Keep waking up in the night to the smell of mould and only had the mattress for a few weeks! Prerecorded message on customer services said wait may well be 75 mins - gave up after 25 mins. Can't see this company continuing much longer to be honest. Why do star ratings start at 1 when 0 is often more appropriate?

Worst Customer Service and delivery in the country!! This review would get -5 stars if possible but one will have to do for its purpose. Ordered a bed and mattress in store in August to be told it wouldn’t be able to arrive a month later on 25th September. Come the supposed week of delivery I was left a voicemail stating it’s would not be arriving until the 15th October. Fast forward to the 14th October, I received another phone call stating it would not be available for delivery until the 12th November! That’s a bed paid in full which cost nearly £1000 and having to wait over 3 months for it to arrive!! All dates of alleged delivery, plans were made which resulted in me losing out on 2 full days pay of work as well as the annoyance of having no bed to sleep in for over 2 months! Prior to this I emailed customer service about the delayed delivery time off my items and was not got back to over nearly 3 weeks despite their email stating all responses will be within 10 days! Now to even consider getting paid for my wasted time and lost earnings, I will have to email them again and will more than likely have to wait another 3 weeks for a reply! Rang customer service to be placed on hold for over 55 minutes to then be put through to another member of customer service and put on hold for another period of time! Did not offer to give any form of compensation until brought to their attention! I was that angry I ended up cancelling the whole order and will be taking my custom elsewhere. Now I have to find a way to get to the store again which is over an hour away from my location which is going to cost more money as I am unable to drive; just to receive a refund of my money! Complete disgrace and I’ve never experienced this level of poor customer service from anywhere in my life! Will not be back and will be telling anyone I know to stay away from this company!

Ordered bed, arrived with broken frame and torn fabric. Poor quality construction of bed frame. Sent everything back for refund. Had to go back to shop to get refund. Turned up up announced to collect. Shocking

WARNING - DO NOT BUY FORM BENSONS FOR BEDS I have only given a one star because I want to write this true review to warn other potential customers. If given the choice I would have given zero stars. I paid in advance for a mattress and when delivered it was not the one I ordered but instead an inferior, used and soiled one. After approx. 3 months of arrogance and lies from customer services they agreed to pick up the wrong mattress from my home and refund the purchase price. The mattress was eventually collected by their delivery team who refused to give me any copy of paperwork to confirm they had taken back the mattress. Bensons are now refusing to acknowledge receipt of the returned merchandise and are avoiding giving a refund. Bensons for beds have stolen both the mattress and money from my bank account. This is now a police matter.

2 failed delivery’s of a made to order mattress by Staples. We were not even notified that the mattress wasn’t coming on the first failed delivery and had made arrangements for this. Fast forward a week and half and a rescheduled delivery. Telephoned me at 07:00 on a Sat morning to expect delivery within 20 mins. 15 mins later the driver called to say mattress was not on the vehicle. It took the intervention of the head of customer service to sort it all out at 17:00 that afternoon. Overall we have been compensated some what although only by 10% discount. The customer service is the worse I have had the displeasure of in my life. Apart from the head of the department.

Don't trust this company, the guy in Dunfermline told me if I cancel my order ,they will charge me 20%.. So these guys give you a load lies then want to get 20%.ha ha ha.It has to be on dragons den. Take £1000 deposit tell lies,provide bad customer service,then if you cancel they take 20% off you.

Seems everyone is in the same boat say well away..lovely service in the shop.customer service on the other hand total rubbish was told because my mattress was nearly 3 years old cost us £1, 500 and we should have a 5-year warranty that we have to pay for an independent person to come out who they recommend at a cost then to add insult us as consumers have to then send Bensons for bed though report and and will only reimburse you the cost of of the company calling out if they deem it as a manufacturer faults. The guy on the phone said they only go out if a product is less than 6-months old after that is down to the consumer to pay I asked him where this stated in the terms and condition as I could not see. I went back into the store to ask them list and they reply was that's new to them!!!!

Do not use Bensons for Beds. 3 years and three REPLACEMENT beds later and they are the worst providers ever. We have a reoccurring problem in our top corners of our bed. A noise has developed, and has done in every single bed they have provided. They send someone out from @homeserve who are bensons for beds OWN third party repair agency who even say themselves they are the worst manufacturer for beds. Whilst you keep buying beds from them, they will keep producing them at a substandard level, because now they are asking you, the consumer to pay the initial fee for the consultant to come out and give an opinion on the bed. They also have said they will only reimburse upto £100.00 of the third party bill, even if it is found by the third party that it is Bensons fault! No doubt they have an arrangement with the technician! Do not use them. Stay away!

What. Went wrong everything your customer services is Terrible. Worst I've ever encountered I paid for my bedroom furniture in August and it was delivered in September well part of it was and what they delivered was damaged second time it was damaged again do have photos third time only one piece turned up and guess what yes it was damaged again fourth time without even telling me you cancelled my order since then I have next to no contact from you and what I've had is emails saying it's not there fault. But suppliers. And they will b in contact well guess what they haven't so here I am two months after paying for this still missing two bits of my furniture

Sent a complaint on 23rd September after waiting 3 weeks for my furniture; as to which know one called me back to rectify this matter of a mark on the bottom drawers of wardrobe; to add insult to injury the guy that I had paid to assemble the rest of my bedroom furniture then come across my bed head stead seriously damaged! Now since this happened they failed again to get back to me the next day took 48 hours to get back promised a refund and to get the product resent, no news again on my replacement bed headstead and no refund!!! Never use them again disgusting and rude customer services. I have now paid for someone to come out who now can't complete the assembly. I have attached all images to show where the damage was made including the packaging, I would like this matter rectified as a matter of urgency as not only have I had to pay for the assembly and wasted time I've also used annual leave to not even have my furniture completed I've already waited three weeks for this delivery.

Customer service does not exist! It took over two months to get a response from them regarding a £59.99 pillow that proved to be a lump of concrete! It was so bad I ended up seeing a chiropractor after sleeping on this pillow just twice! They will not refund so top tip - don't purchase a pillow or duvet from this company! They never answer the phone and ignored two emails. I ended up having to tweet in order to get a response! It took two months to get a response! To begin with they said I was out of the 30 day period to ask for a refund. So I pointed out I was within the 30 day period but it took them two months to respond. They then said they don't issue refunds for pillows! Disgraceful.

Called today as a bed I purchased is broken. Told I had to pay £50 to an 'independent ' inspector to establish if manufacturers fault as older than 6 months. I paid £350 and to anyone expectations would expect it to last longer than 18months. Appalling

The customer service from this company is complete and utter rubbish. We recently purchased a new bed but when we came to put it together we found that four of the eight 'gliders' were missing and one was broken (probably because it is made of very cheap material). We phoned the customer service help line and the wait time was initially supposed to be 31 minutes but it actually took 45 minutes to get through only to be told they had 71 other calls waiting and there was nothing which could be done on the day. The best they could offer was to send new gliders out in 'about 10 days'. Meanwhile they said we should take the three 'gliders' off and put the base straight onto the floor until the new gliders' are delivered. (marking our new carpet!). Whilst my wife hung onto the phone I drove down to the local shop where the staff could not help because a) they don't carry any spare 'gliders' b) we couldn't have the ones off their demonstration bed because it was against company policy' and c) they cannot get through to their 'customer service department' any quicker than we can i.e. a 45 minute wait. I asked for the name of the company Chairman to write and complain but was told they couldn't give it out and although they could give me the name of the CEO they wouldn't give me his address! I will never ever buy from this company again.

I recently ordered a brand new bed costing more than £1000s. It was delivered on time and all was good. Until we tried to put the bed together, we then realised that the bed was missing half the castors - only 4 of the 8 legs were supplied. Phoned the Bensons shop, we were told had to call Bensons on another number. Called that number and waited for over half an hour, and told that they would post the legs but it would take ten! days to arrive. Eventually got the legs, put the bed together and it stank like a dead rat for days on end. Phoned Bensons again, waited 40 minutes, only to be told that was normal. Then noticed a creaking sound every time we sat on the mattress or turned to change sides. Again phoned Bensons, usual 40 minutes later got more fob off excuses, asked for a refund. I was told no can't have refund could go to trading standards, or … In the end have decided to warn others DONT BUY ANYTHING from BENSONS, especially BEDS! Customer service is as good as their new beds - they both STINK!

This company customer service and delivery is awful. Paid for a service I did not received. Met with “brick walls” when trying to get resolved. Have cancelled my order and demanding a refund. I would not shop with them again

Utter shambles for a company in ever capacity. Delivery date came, no mattress just a pillow. Quite frankly, the whole episodes (yes, not just one as I gave them another chance by ordering another purchase) are too exhausting to write it on here. My advice, go to Dreams or any other bed shop. Bensons are not worth your valuable time or your hard earned wages.
