I have ordered a fridge freezer online to replace my broken one after wasting time in Ipswich store being served by the consultant who didn't seem to know what she was talking about. New fridge freezer that was delivered 2 days later turned out to be damaged ( a highly noticeable dent on the freezer door). I have phoned the customer service straight away to request a replacement. After waiting for a long time on hold I was told that I need to call back a little later as the status of my delivery hasn't been updated on their system and they can't do anything for me yet. I ended up phoning Curry's 4(!) times during that day at different times just to be told to call back a couple of hours later. At last half an hour before the phone line closes my partner has got through to a woman who assured him that the replacememt will be delivered tomorrow (Saturday) and we will be refunded £10 for the inconvenience. We were waiting at home half a next day but had a funny feeling that no delivery will arrive as there was no phone call or email confirming it. He called Curry's again and was told that no replacement was authorised for us at all! So the woman he spoken to the night before has done absolutely nothing for us! We were promised the replacememt on Monday instead. Which means another day has to be booked off work and over 3 days without a fridge for us. Hopefully we will get an undamaged fridge on Monday because the customer service so far has put me off getting anything from Curry's ever again.

WORST COMPANY WITH THE MOST RUDEST STAFF EVER ' WATFORD STORE' We bought a 55" 4K TV and separate standand, we were given a delivery date to a house which we were moving to. We had problems with the house so we asked them to deliver the TV and stand to us in Watford Received e-mail saying it would be delivered next day AM. On the Saturday we got a phone call from the driver saying that he could not find us. What a surprise when I found out they were looking for the address I cancelled which was 120 miles away. Rang up and they said WE CANNOT CHANGE A DELIVERY ADDRESS!!!!!! We would have to cancel our order and it would take four to five days for a refund. We went to the Watford shop waited approx half an hour before getting seen because the staff were having so much fun laughing and joking with each other . So mad I kicked up a fuss and got the manager over. Then they rang your office to check on delivery and just walked off and left the phone ringing. The attitude of the staff is disgusting they don't want to help after another half an hour I got my card credited with the money. This Year alone I have spent over £3000 in currys. No more I will never use or order from currys again , and I am passing on my complaints to as many people and friends I know Another dissatisfied custom.

I bought a 49" sony TV, a Beko hob and oven. total paid to Currys nearly £1500. The Tv was delivered and came out of the box faulty. weeks later and after three mornings off work (costing me more than the value of the TV) the TVstill sits in my hallway awaiting collection. Twice they didn't show to collect (despite the txt message giving me my 4 hour slot) once they went to the wrong address (their mistake) only 100 years from my flat BUT refused to drive down the road and collect. The hob was delivered but despite the extra £90 I'd paid for installation they would fit it because they didn't fancy the wiring. The oven came off the van completely the wrong one, wouldn't fit and went back. Utterly useless. The sooner this shambles goes out of business the better.

I have just cancelled my order for a washing machine booked for instillation , delivery and recycle , had a text saying be here between 08:15 and 12:15 never arrived no further texted rang them spent forever on the phone on hold got told running late 6 hours later still no machine rand again another long hold and got told it would be delivered however this was at 7pm decided to ask for full refund and cancel the order . Never had an experience like this one appalling the worst experience ever and to add insult to injury I will now have to wait 5 days for a refund apparently I am never ever buying anything form Currys again I am not even going to look at the web site if they were giving stuff away don't think I would be tempted . So wish I had read this before I ordered

1 star: Bad – unacceptable experience, unreasonable and rude conduct. One star is far too much to rate this company, I for one shall never give currys, pc world another penny of my money....ever, nor shall I ever purchase a product built by hotpoint/ Indesit. So, I buy a tumbler dryer for a premium price, around £200 it could have been more but I am unsure, I have the machine for some time with no issues. I receive a letter in the post saying my machine along with 3million others are faulty and could be reduced to a ball of flames at any moment when in use......I am advised that it is still safe to use....(which is confusing to say the least) if I follow these simple rules until a mantience guy is avalible to come and alter the device.(with 3million to fix lead time is around 2 months) Step 1: clean filter tray of dust after every use. (Quite a simple step, one can do this as I already do) Step 2: never leave the machine unattended when in use!!!!! (Shall one just sit like a praying mantis, fire extinguisher in hand ready to pounce on the inferno that used to be my washing machine, like Kurt russle in back draught!!!! Dont use while sleeping, or if you go out. have you ever heard of something so ridiculous in your life! Currys...told me its not there problem! (Even though you sold me it) they then Send you to the manufacturer, the manufacturer sends you back to currys....this game of table tennis goes on for 2.45 hours at my expense. I CAN HONESTLY SAY I HAVE NEVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE HAD A WORSE EXPERIENCE AS I HAVE JUST HAD WITH CURRYS. NEVER NEVER NEVER USE THEM. YOU WILL LEARN THE HARD WAY.

Absolutely disgraceful service. Item delivered damaged so taken away. I rang the same day and had the installation and delivery charges refunded, but was told I'd have to ring back the next day to get the dishwasher refunded, once it had been returned to the warehouse. I did that and was told my refund would appear in approx 3 days. A week later I rang to chase the refund. After speaking to 3 different departments I was finally told my refund hadn't been processed and someone from the refund department would ring me to confirm it in the next few days. WHY is the refund not automatic on a damaged item? WHY do I have to wait and speak to ANOTHER person when it was returned over a week ago? ridiculous.

I ordered a fan oven in store on 1/10/2016, due to be delivered and fitted on 09/10. I recieved a text to say this would be done from around 14:15-18:15, which was fine. It got to 7pm and no one arrived, I rang customer service next day and spoke to someone who then just transferred me through to someone else, who then did the same, until I finally spoke to someone about it. They advised me that the person who was meant to fit it had been off sick, which no one informed me about so had it rebooked for today (11/10). You can probably guess that once again it hasn't turned up. I ring again and they have now advised me it is booked in for 18/10! I'm without an oven and i feel like I've been taken for a ride! Will be calling tomorrow to cancel and request a full refund. Not happy.

I had 6 engineer visits in total to fix a dishwasher. The last engineer was the same as the first. The first time he came round, he refused to do any work and said that the dishwasher was not accessible. The second said he 'almost' fixed it, the 3rd said he fixed it (lied). The 4th couldn't be bothered and ordered an extra part that had nothing to do with the problem. The 5th tried and left - telling KNOWHOW he had fixed it (lied). I would never use this service again for anything. The whole process took several months and I am still left with a broken dishwasher.

We had a washing machine on order for delivery, installation & disposal of the old one. After waiting 3 hours into my 4 hour time slot they arrived with the new washer. The guys went to the kitchen pulled out the old washer and said that the water valve was broken and that we needed to call a plumber out to fix it, and because of that they wouldn't be doing he installing or collection. They were in my house for less than 5 mins to decide all this and then left me with 2 washing machines. I rang a plumber and paid a £50 call out fee ... the water valve was fine and not even slightly broken. he said all they would have had to do was ask me to turn off the water from the stop, the plumber suggested it looked like the guys who delieverd it couldnt be bothered so left it as my problem. he installed the machine within 5 mins and said it was as easy as that. No new parts or valves needed!! I rang the company to complain and got a rude response. They said the guys who INSTALL washing machines are NOT plumbers or even slightly trained in plumbing so if they ASSUME something is wrong they have every right to not fit it. They refunded their cost of installation but wouldn't refund the cost of the removal of the old machine as a good will gesture seeing as I they had made me pay out ANOTHER £50. How can you have untrained people installing machines that require basic plumbing. Absolutely disgusting we will never use them ever again. Please avoid it if at all possible.

I bought an expensive Samsung fridge freezer (FF). It had a problem which resulted in a replacement FF. Great and actually managed ok by Samsung. New FF arrived with a damaged fridge door. I accepted that they(Samsung) could replace the door. New door arrived and was fitted but when seen on completion it was the wrong doo, it had a completely different handle and didn't fit correctly. Ok so we will replace the door again. Door arrived but it was a freezer door to match the ill fitting fridge door. I stated I didnt want it and stated I wanted a new FF. Lots of calls with Samsung I eventually got to the bottom of it when Samsung told me the 30 days was up. Currys didnt notify Samsung regarding the second door or the wrong freezer door. They tried to be smart and give me one wrong door and then tried to match the wrong door up with a freezer door. I have been promised everything but nothing ever happens. Currys are an appaulling company with no regard for customer service or care. They are a poor third party between the manufacturer and the customer and will do anything to avoid taking responsibility for faulty goods. They work as if the law does not apply to them and keep[ their employees in the dark. Given they are par tof the Dixons group it says the same for all the management of the business. The issue is still unresolved but it will be soon as I take further action by going to court over it. My advice to anyone who has an alternative local source for appliances use them even it is a bit more expensive. At least there you have a contact who you can talk to and who can make a decision.

1. Purchased a washing machine. Asked to phone me 1/2 before as no one lives at the house at time of delivery. Was assured part of their service was to phone before. No phone call was made. Item delivered but no one there to collect had to wait another week before delivery - made no attempt to help out even though it was there error. 2. Purchased a fridge (despite the above giving them the benefit of the doubt and that this was a once off). I used gift cards to pay for the fridge. Despite gift cards being allocated against purchase the order was not placed. I had to chase up the order. I was told I had to reorder even though they took money off my card. It took 4 working days before I was credited on my gift card so therefore could not repurchase for 4 days in the meantime the item was sold out. There was no attempt to put through an order despite they had taken my money. 3. Fridge finally was delivered - Item damaged as it was being delivered - no apologies. Said I would have to wait for a new one and there was none in stock at the moment. Told I had to ring customer service which I did on the Friday night. I was promised someone would return my call on Saturday. No call forthcoming. I have emailed and phoned and now on Tuesday I have been told delivery will not be until 1st October and there were 35 orders so I would have to wait. Currently on hold with customer service who will not give me a managers name. Would not put me through to a manager and all I could do was put in a complaint. I was given a complaint number and then told only he could help. If he could help why does he need a complaint form. How can I get to speak to someone in the company who is concerned about customer service.

Staff at Northampton St James retail park I would just like to just say what a courteous , helpful and knowledgeable team I came across at the currys in Northampton. I went with the intention of buying a new washing machine and with the help of the assistant made a purchase based on their knowledge of the product ( not saying I had already done the research on the washer) but there was no waffle or salesmanship just honesty, which I value. I then returned another week or so later to suss out a phone package for my wife and son, and also to change my broadband provider. Again the assistant Tamina went to great lengths to explain all the options available for me which offered a good discount and products my wife and son are very happy with. I then was passed over to the manager Matt who was extremely professional and courteous who made me feel relaxed and at ease that I wasn't going to be sold any old rubbish, when after explaining my dissatisfaction with my current broadband provider showed me better deals to be had. Mona ( I think her name was), spent ages showing me all the deals to be had. I ended up with a mega deal much better and cheaper than my current! I would like to praise the new store manager Matt and his team on turning round what was a drab store from previous visits to one I would recommend to others.

Their Knowhow appliance installation service is very expensive, yet I had a kitchen appliance wrongly installed, and have had two cancelled appointments since trying to get it rectified. Simple advice, - if you have any choice whatsoever, do NOT use this dreadful service.

Sent my Samsung top of the range 3d tv for fix by currys knowhow for it only to come back not fixed.had samsung check themselves an they confirmed it wasn't fixed Know how refused to send samsung the engineers report. So I refused a second repair and insisted on replacement. Been waiting for tv to be sent back to shires retail park leamington Spa store as Dean the deputy manager( then next day hiss assist Dave) refused to give new tv till their own repair centre physically sent back to them.No loan tv offered or Appologies just a shrug of shoulders and advice to contact citizens advice by Dean ! Tried calling deliveries but keep getting run around since Wednesday. Worst store service and tech centre constantly lying. And to top it I raised a complaint with customer services but still waiting a call from a manager.WILL DEFINITELY NOT USE LEAMINGTON SPA STORE CURRYS AGAIN WORST SERVICE EVER.

I was sold 5yrs Knowhow Cloud storage when I bought a top of the range Android tablet, specifically because I was concerned about storage capacity for Word files and pdfs on the tablet. Installed the KH App, wasted 4 hrs trying to backup the doc files on the tablet. First call to helpline suggested uninstalling and reinstalling app. No luck. Then I noticed that most items on main support page had info for Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android, but for backup only Windows and Mac Phoned helpline for comment on this and was told Knowhow Cloud will auto back up only photos and videos from Android devices, not Word files etc! THERE WAS NO MENTION OF THIS WHEN I BOUGHT THE 5YR STORAGE. Apparently files can be backed up individually to the briefcase but this is cumbersome, and I assume the briefcase has much less storage than the 2TB l bought. Not impressed.

To cut a long story short. Purchased an expensive washing machine along with other white goods. This was installed as per manufacturer instructions. Upon trying the machine for the first time it would not work properly. So throughout the day I spent most of the time on the phone to the manufacturer in Korea troubleshooting. They were unable to resolve (saying 'it not work right') and said it needed to be returned to the seller - Currys. We then tried to reject and return the item (which was brand new and well within 30 days of purchase). I was repeatedly fobbed off by Currys so called 'customer service' back to the manufacturer. They refused return and refused to get any manager and claimed they had no complaints procedure. We had been looking to exchange for another make but obviously will not do this with Currys now. This company has total disregard for its customers and the law, in this case - The Consumer Rights Act 2015. We apparently now have to take further action just to get a refund. Truly awful. Avoid at all costs.

I would advise anyone who is buying from currys to pay with a credit card so you can cancel the payment when things go wrong. I have just had a delivery of a new smug dishwasher. The door does not sit right on the base and is wonky. I have asked for it to be replaced. My contract is with currys not with smug currys are refusing to do anything untill they speak to smug. I am disgusted I am not asking for my money back just the item replacing with a faultless one .which is what I have paid for. The people on the phone are like robots spewing out the information they are told to say over and over again. I question whether they are acting within the law as I have a purchase contract with currys not with smug I want it replacing as a matter of urgency
