As if you don't make enough off your rentals, you take a TINY little scratch and turn it into a complete front end job when I have witnesses to prove that the damage they saw was easily rectified with the $250 that was paid for it. The damage was so minor, that your representative didn't even notice it until I pointed it out to him. Here I am, an HONEST customer who uses your service all the time, (which is now WAS a customer) and you take advantage of by cranking up the price of a VERY MINIMAL scratch 4X what any normal body shop would have charged (and I've got the witnesses to prove it).”

“Their card reader wouldn't accept my credit card, and when I called the corporate office, this guy tells me they're having problems. He then wanted me to get up at 5:30 in the morning, go 7 miles out of my way to rent a car at an airport, and try to get to work by 7:00 through downtown Orlando. Enterprise used to say, "We'll pick you up." Now it's, "We'll take you for a ride!"”

I was in a terrible accident due to my car being a total loss my insurance company was not going to approve anymore days of paying for my rental car so the night before I was to return the rented vehicle I had made a reservation to pay out of my own pocket for the vehicle I had made the reservation for but due to the female employee & her own personal assumptions that she had decided to go off of not once did she stop & realize that I had just went to my car to retrieve all of my laun dry I had just done the day of my accident & had not made it home to my house to unload the laundry.plus I had all of my house cleaning supplies for my housecleaning business that I kept in my vehicle cuz my car was the vehicle drove to work at my clients residential homes.. which included cleaners, vacuum, steam mop, broom, rags,dusting tools, extra bottles of cleaning supplies etc ..etc .
She assumed that I was living in the vehicle I had rented. Now I was returning an SUV for a smaller car if I were living in the SUV would it make any sense to trade the SUV for a smaller car?
If I were living in the vehicle wouldn't it make more sense to keep the SUV to have more room & be able to lay down & be comfortable rather be in a smaller car & not have that extra room to be comfortable.
Makes absolutely no sense!
But she did go on her own assumption & the refused to rent me the vehicle I had a reservation for then told me to give her an address to where I could be dropped off with my clean laundry & all my cleaning stuff for my job knowing I had to be at work in a half hour from the time she said she was closing out my account with enterprise & then after I put the gas in it to bring it back to return it she still took all of my deposit for the rental except $5.50 is what she refunded me from my deposit. I will not ever use this company EVER again IN MY LIFE

“No wonder your rating is so low. Husband has terminal cancer and is no longer able to travel to our nephew's wedding. All we asked is to change the reservation to my name. We were told that is not possible and then had the coldhearted audacity to try and upsell us to a more expensive car. F you and I promise you I will never use you again and I will tell as many people as possible about how bad this was. By the way, we decided to take care of this while sitting in the ER. “Insurance rented us a car while our my wife’s car was be repaired in a body shop. The car that she was provided stunk of cigarette smoke and she is allergic to cigarette smoke. It was so bad that my daughter could not even ride in the car. I paid for and installed a new cabin air filter which helped some but my daughter could still not ride in the vehicle. When we turned the car back in, we provided a copy of the receipt for the filter and were told that they would reimburse us for it through the card that we provided for the deposit on the car. We got our deposit back but did not receive reimbursement for the filter.”
“Unfortunately due to a car accident I needed a rental car. State farm must have a contract with Enterprise. They did bring the car to the place I was having my car repair on Friday 1/24/25. On Saturday the 25th the Audi had a major malfunction light on the dashboard. I called right away and told the company. I live in Wheaton and they wanted me to drive to Midway to exchange the car. I said no that's 50 mins each way. So I agreed to take the car to the Naperville location on Sunday the 26th to exchange it. On Sunday the light was going on and off while I would drive. Even this location was 25 mins each way. I didn't want to drive a car and cause damage. They were very busy and had two young men working who seemed overwhelmed. I explained the situation and the light. When the man turned on the car the light was not on display. Had he drove the car for just 2 mins it would have come on. He asked me to show him a picture of it. I pulled it up on my phone. He said he didn't understand what that meant. I told him this is what the internet said. Major malfunction don't drive the car. Why does enterprise have men working at this location if they don't understand cars and don't care to help their customers. He said well the car seems fine to me. I said ok I'm going to leave with this car. I'm going to drive this car with this warning light on. If the engine or transmission blows up, Jack Bronec, I brought it in here. I told you about it. You choose to do nothing about it. You didn't switch out this car. He said you got this car at Villa Park. What does that have to do with anything? To me that is pure laziness and no customer service what-so-ever! When I got home after again driving the car with the light on the entire way home. I called and told the customer service again and told them what had happen at the Naperville location. They wanted me to go exchange the car. I said I called yesterday. I did what you asked me to do. If your company sent me away without switching out the car. That is now your problem. The car is in my garage. I will be driving it. You have been informed of the problems. If you want to exchange this car you know where I live. I just was reading over your reviews. Almost all are 1star saying if they could give you zero they would. So why bother to write a read at all. I will be contacting State Farm tomorrow to let them know that if you rental insurance if with enterprise maybe I don't want rental insurance on my car insurance anymore.”

I rented a car in West Chester, PA. I put 12 miles on the car according to THEIR RECORDS (I drove the care four short trips). I got a bill FROM ENTERPRISE for toll charges IN MASSACHUSETTS (the car did have Massachusetts license plates).
I called the help line and escalated the issue . FIVE DIFFERENT AGENTS TOLD ME I HAD TO CALL THE MASSACHUSETTS TOLL AUTHORITY TO STRAIGHTEN IT OUT! Each agent agreed with the documentation that I could not have possibly been the one to drive through the toll gate (any toll gate) and having me call the toll authority made no sense, but THEY WOULD NOT REFUND MY MONEY OR CALL THEIR HOME OFFICE TO STRAIGHTEN IT OUT. They wanted ME to fix the problem because their "POLICY" states that it is up to the customer to fix it--EVEN THOUGH THE PROBLEM IS IN THEIR RECORDS AND THEY ARE THE ONES THAT EMAILED ME THE BILL, NOT THE TOLL AUTHORITY (the Toll Authority does not have my information, only the car’s information). I've had to put the charge in dispute with my credit card company, spend my time on the phone emailing the credit card company supporting documentation, etc. IS THIS ANY WAY FOR A COMPANY TO TREAT A CUSTOMER? DON'T USE ENTERPRISE! It seems Enterprise Policy is "IF WE MAKE IT DIFFICULT FOR THE CUSTOMER TO GET THE REFUND THEY DESERVE, THEY WILL GO AWAY AND JUST PAY THE BILL."”
“I reserved a three-row SUV two days ago, but when I showed up to pick it up, they had no cars available—no call, no warning, nothing. The only option they offered was a pickup truck, which wasn’t what I needed. Customer service was awful, with no apology or effort to fix it. Went to Hertz instead, and they took care of me quickly with a better price. Never using this company again.”
“I rented from the one in Mt. Airy, NC. and right from the start, Ben the guy behind the front desk was a total asshole. The car was rented by an insurrance tocompany to accomodate me because their client had hit my car and it was being repaired. The insurance company paid for a luxury car but i did not get a luxury car, far from it!!! After bringing the car back this asshole keeps my $50 deposit. What a jerk!! I am going to tell eveybody how i was treated and oh yes i will inform that insurance company so they can get some if their money back. What an asshole.”
“Muy mala experiencia tuve al reservar con esta compañía por suerte fue la primera vez y la última. Reserva echa desde octubre para diciembre 27 confirmada hasta el día antes de recoger el carro. Al momento de recoger el vehículo no tenían carro para darme, mis vacaciones y la de mi familia se vieron seriamente afectadas con este inconveniente de última hora. “Enterprise rent a car screwed me over. Progressive insurance rented a car for me through enterprise in Stafford Tx location while my vehicle was being repaired at Helfman Ford. When I picked up the rental I had to put my credit card on file to secure the car. They also told me when my vehicle was ready I could leave the rental at the body shop and they will pick it up. When my truck was complete I called enterprise to inform them that my truck was ready and I would be returning their vehicle. Oct. 7 2024 I picked up my vehicle and left their car at the body shop. I also informed enterprise their vehicle was there for pickup. The service guy at Helfman Ford also called enterprise to inform them that their car was there for pickup. Enterprise didn’t pickup their car until Oct. 9 2024 Progressive insurance stop paying for the rental on Oct. 7 2024 the day I picked up my truck. Enterprise in turn charged my credit card for the 2 days the rental set at the ford body shop. I have called their customer service 6 times speaking to several agents and they telling me someone from that region will contact me. As Jan 18 2025 no one has called me yet. I would never rent another vehicle from enterprise rent a car.”
“Terrible experience, complete lack of respect for customers
For the second year in a row, I tried renting a car with Enterprise, and it was an extremely frustrating experience. I planned everything in advance: made the reservation, called the store to confirm the availability, and on the day of pickup, they simply didn’t have the car I reserved.
This forced us to spend the entire day scrambling to find another car. Several stores claimed over the phone that they had a car available, but when we arrived, there was nothing. We lost an entire day of our trip because of this company.
On top of that, the cost was outrageous. I was prepared to pay $1,400, but I ended up having to rent from another company (Alamo) that actually had the car. However, since it was last minute, I paid double the price.
This happened both years I tried using Enterprise, and in both cases, it showed a complete lack of respect for their customers. I will never rent from this company again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!”
“Res 17861858 I got my Reservation confirmed very important trip to California. I get there and as easy as 123 lady says we don't take same day reservations. This late in the day I have to go find a better reliable company. All because of incompetent employees that can't provide courtesy calls.

“I rented a pickup in December in Las Vegas and I forgot something in the pickup and it came back an hour later and they told me that they couldn't show me the truck anymore because they were working on it and that I should make a claim and after two hours of waiting there I They said they had already rented it and I made the claim and they never returned the piece I forgot. I went a few days later and the truck was there without the part I forgot and they never gave it back to me in the end they stole it”
“Had a car reserved through insurance. I called the day before to confirm confirmation, next day get there to get the car and was told very unprofessionally that there was not a car available. They had cars on the lot , but bc I was through insurance I could it rent ine. I even stayed I would pay the difference bc I was by myself and stranded . The salesman acted as though he did not hear me. I called customer service and was told the district manager would call me ASAP.. still waiting. Do better enterprise!!”
