Purchased car deposit given. Car had multiple issues. Fake 200 point report. Kept on making promises for almost 1 month but never handed over the car

What an unbelievable experience! On arrival staff in a group meeting with music that was suggesting linking female parts plus a few other things! Ignoring customers arriving for appointments and making them wait 30mins to speak to. Daughters called dickheads by staff when they had gone outside in car park to vape and blamed them for fire alarm going off!! One aggressive dismissive rude manager who tried to argue anything we suggested being wrong with a vehicle. What an unprofessional branch who have alot to learn about customers and people

If I could have given 0 stars I would have. What a terrible experience we had buying a car from the Leeds office. The original purchase was awful, terrible service, felt under pressure. After having the car 3 days it started to smoke. There is no After Sales, the team you have to speak to don't acually work for them. Nobody takes ownership, nobody would agree to take the car back. Everyone on the phone was rude and unhelpful. Finally they agreed but they wouldn't collect the car even though it wasn't drivable and took weeks and weeks to get a refund after calling multiple times a day. Such a very stressful worrying time and I would NEVER use this company again. Terrible and should be shut down

Felt forced to buy warranty. Felt forced to try and get credit even though I had the cash upfront. They are trained to con you. I have an issue with the car was reported 3 days after the sale Now waiting for them to settle the outstanding balance. They are awful. Customer service non existent. Please do not risk purchasing from here. Honestly it's not worth the hassle.

Appalling company. I would give no stars if I could. After paying a deposit for a car then doing some background research on the car, we decided against buying. The company couldn't give any evidence of the 200 point check or explain the fact that a 3 year old car had been off the road for at least 4 months. Attempted to also miss sell finance but when asked about this it was denied. Arrogant and unprofessional sales staff once we decided against purchase. Refused a refund of the deposit and it took us two months to get this back. Do not touch this company, read the complaints on Facebook

Part 1 from trustpilot after my 1st issue: Found that all the under trays were not replaced after big assist carried out some work on the car, spent over a month and numberous visits to locations in Peterborough to try and sort it out. Turns out a tyre should have also been changed but it wasn’t and the incorrect one is still fitted. Official complaint made but they don’t seem to care. I’ve had so little faith in bigmotoringworld I’ve had the car independently inspected to check to see if anything else is missing, and that the work was carried out correctly. As for being called big assist, that should be changed to no assist. Having to spend weeks and months trying to resolve their error, no one cares at this company. All the things they advertise in branch and on their website are lies as all they want is your money and then nothing else to do with you. Who wants to be having to constantly email a company if you have a problem with a car that needs to be rectified quickly. Part 2 copied from trustpilot, following my second problem, a catastrophic engine failure: I regret the moment I walked through the doors of this place. What a terrible company to deal with once things go wrong. If you like hassle, stress and having to get solicitors involved then go ahead and buy an ex lease car from this place. After just over 4000 miles the engine ceased and despite purchasing a 3 year extended warranty they said I that I wasn’t covered. Boy has it been a battle to get the car hopefully sorted (almost 4 months), but having to get a solicitor involved to get to this stage is a joke. They force customers to make a review on here before they drive off, of course you’re happy then but if and when the car goes wrong, well expect to be left to sort it yourself. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. Do not buy a car from Bigmotoringworld!

Had a lucky escape today after visiting the Enfield branch to buy a car! Had a good look around the car before I met the salesman. NS Inner wheel arch cover was broken with some of it missing! Small rust patch by rear window. Advisory on MOT for a cut in the tyre! Car was a 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce on sale for £19900 plus some kind of RIP off admin charge! Proceeded to reception and was told to sit and wait for my salesman who arrived promptly. I told him I had looked around car and pointed out the obvious faults I had found. I also asked why I should pay a £300 admin charge when I was paying by debit card and they merely had to take my money and transfer ownership online and was told it covers the 200 point vehicle check etc! Well if it had been through a 200 point check it would not be up for sale with the obvious problems I found immediately! I did say I would still be prepared to take the car straight away and fix the problems myself pointing out I was a cash buyer with immediate funds to transfer but they would not even reduce the price by £200!! Luckily I did not pay a £99 holding deposit as I see from the many bad reviews it is almost impossible to get this refunded. The salesman got a manager who was adamant that despite the faults there would be no reduction in the price. I said to my wife it was time to go and we both walked out! We never even got to test drive the car and after reading the many bad reviews for this GREEDY! uncaring company I can now breathe a sigh of relief that I never became one of their victims! Had anything gone wrong after purchase it seems you are on your own and any warranty agreement add ons they try to force on you for a few £1000 with them is more useful as toilet paper! PLEASE READ BAD REVIEWS! Plenty of reputable places to buy a car from of which this is not one of them. We had a lucky escape due to their PURE GREED! and walked away. I would advise any prospective buyers to do the same or better still AVOID AT ALL COST! You have been warned. If you now buy a car from them you deserve every bit of the poor service and loss of your hard earned money you will receive. THEIR PURE GREED WILL BE THEIR DOWNFALL!!

I would recommend the Big Motoring World in Norwich to others. I was very impressed with the customer service I received from a very polite, patient and helpful staff by the name of Najibah. It is not very often that one gets good customer service from a sales person. Thanks Najibah for making the experience a positive one for me.

We paid £169 for advantage plus with MOT for life. This has been a total scam. We want a refund. Nobody is getting back to us. Do not trust this company.

I recently purchased a £30k car from Big Motoring World, and my experience has been a nightmare. When we first inspected the vehicle, the powered boot wouldn’t open properly. The sales rep fiddled with it, got it to work, and assured us it was working fine so we went ahead with the purchase. After all, we were also offered a warranty that seemed to cover any future issues, with no labour limit—perfect, right? We specifically asked about labour costs, knowing that BMW garages can be expensive. The salesman assured us the warranty would cover BMW dealership rates, as only they have the proper tools for the car’s complex electronics. Feeling confident, we bought the warranty too, thinking we were protected. The problems began as soon as we got home. Missing driver’s mat: Under the paper footwell covers, we discovered the driver's mat was completely missing. The cost to replace it with a matching BMW mat? £90. Boot still faulty: The boot continued to malfunction. We took the car to BMW for a software recall and asked them to inspect the boot. They confirmed it appeared to be an alignment issue—potentially the result of a prior impact but would need investigation. This was alarming, but it got worse: BMW also pointed out the rear bumper had been resprayed, suggesting the car had likely been involved in an accident Feeling misled and sold a damaged vehicle, I contacted Big Motoring World. I was told that: The warranty wouldn’t cover BMW repair costs, despite what I was told. I was advised to take the car to Kwik Fit or Halfords instead—local independents, not the BMW dealership we were assured was covered. My complaint was "logged," and someone would get back to me in a week or so. That’s right. After spending £30k on a car that appears to have been in an accident and sold under false pretenses, they’ve brushed me off to wait in line for more than a wee to 'hear back' To anyone considering Big Motoring World: don’t. They sold me a car with hidden accident damage. Misled me about the warranty coverage. Showed no urgency or care in resolving my complaint. You’re better off buying from a local garage that will actually speak to you after the sale rather than leaving you stuck in a long queue of complaints. Don't make the same mistake I did. Avoid Big Motoring World

I was scammed by their insurance. I paid £1,500 for 36 months, and when I had issues with my car, their referred garage charged me £1,055. They only covered £365, providing numerous excuses.

I bought a Toyota CHR from Enfield Branch. The tyre pressure indicator appeared on the dash board when I was driving the car from back home from BMW. Even after inflating the tyres the indicator did not go off. When I contacted BMW they wanted me to take the car to the nearest Halfords or Quick fit for a diagnostic test. Both Halfords and Quick fit did not want to do any thing with BMW. When I contacted BMW I was given a list of garages to contact. Only one mobile mechanic agreed to come and diagnose the problem . The others simply refused to do any thing with BMW. The mechanic said that the tyre pressure sensors have been damaged by BMW when they changed the tyres. It took more than 2 weeks for him to get payment for his diagnostic test from BMW and even then they did not pay him his full invoice . He has sent a estimate for the repair and BMW is not willing to pay the full amount. He is refusing to carry out the repair. I have been trying to get the car repaired by BMW for the last 4 weeks without any successes. The BMW does not respond to my emails and when we went to Enfield branch they s said that is a sales branch not dealing with after sales. I bought the car when I was about to start a new job in the NHS. My job involves visiting patients in their homes. The car has given me lat of stress in addition to settling down in my new job. BMW has the worst customer care of the organisations i have dealt with in my life. I would not even recommend even my worst enemy to go to BMW. The sweet talk they give disappears as soon as they collect the money . If there is a problem with the car they treat you as their enemy.

I purchased a vehicle on 17.08.24. On the 22.08.24 it broke down. The vehicle was covered by a 3 month warranty through Big Motoring Warranty (Big MW) They arranged a tow truck and asked me to take it to my local garage. I took the car to the only garage which accepted warranty work and had immediate availability to look at the car. The garage confirmed that the car needed a starter motor. BigMW offered to pay 40% of the total cost and said I should pay the rest myself. How can I be expected to pay out hundreds of pounds on repairing a car that I have owed for 5 days. They argued that the part can be bought on Europarts for a ridiculously cheap sum. I have investigated this fact and it is totally untrue. The cheapest part on Europarts was more than double the value they offered. I called and emailed their after sales team, who replied with an automated email saying I would hear from them in 5 working days. After 5 days and no response, I called again and the case was 'escalated' but still no response. Even their 200 point check is questionable. I was told upon leaving that the pressure on the tyres and just been checked as I left with the vehicle. On the way home the pressure light came up. I drove straight to Kwikfit for a tyre check and was told the tyres had been pumped up to 45psi, when they should be at 32psi!! I have owed the car now for a total of 16 days and it has only worked for 4 days! I have written to Big Motoring World again and stated that I want to reject the car under the Consumer Act 2015 and receive a full refund or I will have to consider issuing a claim in the small claims court. Still no response. Absolutely diabolical after sales service. Will never use this company again! If I could give them no stars - it would still be too many! They try to get you to fill in their online review before you have leave the showroom. This can be the only way I can imagine they have the current review figures they do, as issues are highlighted after you leave and they don't care about resolving them as they already have your review! Steer clear!

Worst First and Last experience with Big Motoring World. Poor customer services. They just keep on giving different numbers to contact on and no one has a answer. The 200 checkpoint reports are quite questionable actually. After 2 weeks of purchase the dealership has no idea as when the car will be ready for collection. The bigassist email provided is just a quack tool. Nobody reaponds on that

We couldn’t even view a car we saw on line without be asked to sit down with a sales guy. I bought a car from Available Car that used to be where they are and it was 100% better and no pressure. What’s happened to the place. I can understand with today’s issues that they want to know who’s walking around their lot but to have to hassled by a sales person to even view a car. Will never go there again.
