I have read reviews from customers who are trying to send parcels and having problems. It's no better the other side when waiting for parcels. I have had several notifications from Hermes saying that parcels had been delivered. 1 parcel delivered two weeks later. 1 arrived 2 hours later after delivery notification received. I have again had notification that another parcel had been delivered today. I'm still waiting. For the third time, I have had to contact the relevant company (from where the order originated) to advise that another is missing. An article in the Sun newspapers stated that Hermes had a problem with scanners and wrong postcodes were issued. They had 30,000 missing parcels in early June. I sympathise with sellers too as they have to refund people. It's of no use trying to contact Hermes as they are uncontactable and it's very upsetting for both buyers and sellers who are both losing out. When couriers deliver, they don't always ring the doorbell or even knock at the door to confirm name and address. They can still distance themselves. Sometimes parcels are left where they can be viewed by passers by. If part of the problem is of huge caseloads for couriers, Hermes should review this with staff because a lot will be conscientious and upset by the problems. I don't understand where these parcels are going and it does make you think that there is some dishonesty here. Out of choice I would never choose to do business with Hermes and am surprised that so many companies and individuals still choose to do so. One star is too good for this company - where's the star for zero service.

It's getting to the point where I may decide to avoid business with any company that uses Hermes, as they're disgusting. The last 3 times a delivery has been with Hermes there have been issues. On one occasion they indicated I had given instructions for the parcel to be returned to sender and they didn't even attempt to deliver it. In another case I had to request a credit card company to delivery my card via another delivery service which they thankfully did. Of course with service this bad, there's no proper options to contact Hermes. A service rep from one retailer said many Hermes drivers may not even have mobile phones. It's appalling Hermes is used to the extent that it is.

Been waiting 4 days for my delivery and still has not been delivered, the tracker keeps saying the driver was unable to deliver I want to know why! Hermes have delivered to me in the past so why is it so difficult this time? I have a further order coming from you too which you have had for 2 days which isn’t even out for delivery yet!!! Stop stealing people’s things. Do not use COVID as a excuse you have got drivers out there with peoples things that have been paid for.

My order was processed by the seller on 03 June and Hermes confirmed receipt on 04 June. I still have not received it. I have contacted Hermes several times via their tracking No and each time they confirm delivery within 24 hrs. I have checked again and its the same standard response. I completed a complaint form with them several days ago but have received no response They have had my parcel 16 days and I still have no idea when I will receive it. How on earth is this fraudulent business permitted to operate and why on earth are suppliers using them?

Worst customer service!! You delivered my parcel to the wrong address and nothing has been done about it apart from sorry! I spent £40 and I haven’t received my parcel!!!!

I wanted to send some framed pictures, I was told they would be picked up the following day. Four days later I was still waiting. I saw the courier in our road delivering, so I asked if they were picking mine up.they didn’t even know about them. Luckily they took them for me. My son is having problems with them now, he’s been waiting nearly a week for them to pick up a return parcel. You can’t contact them or get any help. Online it just says parcel will be picked up today , it’s said that everyday for the last week. They are useless, I would never use them again, unreliable isn’t the word id use

Wish I had read the reviews before booking a courier through Hermes. Booked a courier collection. Courier never arrived but the track and trace system informed me that apparently my parcel was collected at 3.01pm and was with the courier out for delivery - no it wasn't, it was still sitting on my dining room table! Trying to get through to customer services the next day (as the digital online assistant also insisted that my parcel had been collected) was a joke. On hold for what seems like an eternity before anyone answers, eventually they did and they put me on hold whilst they tried to contact the driver. After 10 minutes on hold I got cut off so back to calling customer services again and waiting on hold again. In total, more than hour of my time wasted trying to talk to customer services with no answer as to why my parcel has not been collected but it marked as being out for delivery. Eventually got so frustrated with getting nowhere that I told them to cancel the item and refund my postage cost - will use Royal Mail instead and would advise anyone else not to bother with this inadequate company. Only problem with this is that if my refund doesn't appear in my account I have to phone customer services again!

Factually incorrect statement sent by myHermes when trying to resolve an issue regarding parcels not collected by courier. MyHermes customer service might as well be non existent. When contacting them about parcels still awaiting collection from their courier service, I recieved 3 different responses. 1. Items had been collected - false I still had them. 2. Items were over sized and over weight - false one was the size of a shoe box and less than 2kg 3. No one was in - false we are in due to COVID-19 lockdown and furthermore parcels were left on the door step, in clear visable view. In attempt to respond to these replys, you get a response that it is an automated. The only option you are left with is to reinitate the case and wait. Shockingly, this is the case even if you go through 'resolver'. If you want to speak to a myhermes representative, you can pay £6 per minute for the privilege. This is the worst service I have ever experienced. Not because mistakes happen, they do, but when raising them yu accept an element of urgency or responsibility for the company to resolve in the most expedient and practical manner. My issue remains unresolved. My strongest recommendation to anyone reading this is to avoid at all costs. Yes they are competitive in their pricing, yes you might get lucky but you are rolling the dice with this company - avoid and take your custom elsewhere.

When it goes wrong there is absolutely no help or means of contact. I sent a parcel and it was misrouted to the wrong depot where it’s been for 3 weeks, the automated system says it will be on the move within 24hrs and when the system finally lets you email, the reply from a real person they tell you “it’s been misrouted 3 weeks ago” Well done Hermes tell me when you are going to deliver it.

I have waited in 2 days for hermes putting all activities on hold, whilst waiting yesterday they postponed delivery & today they claimed they attempted delivery saying I was not in (lie), now they send item back to sender claiming 3 attempts .....wow wow wow I'm gobsmacked.

If I could give it a zero I would Parcels saying they are being delivered but aren't. Which in the current climate is a perfect excuse to steal parcels and not deliver them as they are saying they aren't accepting signatures I have now initiated a theft from property with the Police and pointed the figure directly to Hermes. It makes my blood boil that these companies have no recourse in their poor service. No customer service just some jumped up computer generated "Holly" why sellers still use this service I have no idea. In future I will ensure any purchase I make if they use Hermes I will take my custom elsewhere

I ordered some items on-line. According to the Hermes tracking the parcel was out for delivery by their courier - for several days - but it never arrived. I contacted the company who I had ordered the items from. They contacted Hermes to be told my parcel was damaged. The company sent a second package. According to a Hermes e-mail to me the package was delivered this evening; according to the Hermes tracking it was delivered yesterday evening - needless to say neither is the truth! No sign of my package anywhere and no knock on the door either evening at times when I have never seen our regular Hermes courier in the area.

They hold onto return parcels for wks and wks. Which means you dont get a refund from a company for ages... would never use them for my own personal parcels.

Appalling service! Hermes indicated that they had delivered a parcel on 2 separate occasions when they had not. The photos taken of the delivery location were just coloured rectangles, with no picture. It is impossible to speak to anyone at Hermes to follow up such a botched delivery. I do not recommend their service at all.

I ordered poster frame on Amazon, which meant to be delivered by Hermes. The first time it came, the glass was cracked, therefore I requested a replacement and returned it. Few days later, the replacement frame came, with all the glass totally smashed in pieces. Avoid Hermes by any cost if you want your parcel to be handled well.

AWFUL NON EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE for some reason Hermes cannot deliver to my address, everyone else manages! They need extra info, so I have been trying to contact them all morning. But do not give an option to speak to someone by call or online chat. Ridiculous that they wont allow customers to talk to them.

Hermes are bad the courier picked my parcel up on the 7th April and it never got delivered it was a very important parcel it was my family bible I was sending to my friend who is a book binder he was going to restore it for me but there’s no chance of that now I sent loads of emails to Hermes and got nothing back I feel betrayed by them they can’t be bothered to look for my parcel iv been told they are keeping parcels and selling them on auction sites I feel that’s we’re my bible will end up Iam so upset and angry I trusted this company but now I don’t I will never use Hermes again

Return sent via Hermes to Amazon (£123 package). Never arrived. Mailed Hermes customer support who advised wrong dept, called Amazon who immediately refunded to my account. Item still not arrived (22/5- 18/6). Next door neighbour has had multiple items 'signed for by customer' & allegedly left at property!. (Signature from driver used instead). Call me a cynic but I suspect foul play afoot with Hermes!!!. Seriously, 1 star is 1 star too much. Never had a good experience with Hermes & by the other reviews sounds like a common thread here. Get the impression that the '1.43' score is bumped up by false or fake reviews. Abysmal service & slow to return/update. Wish the retailers would just use DPD, UPS , Yodel or good old Royal Mail...unable to soeak to anyone people...you should definitely not use Hermes!!!.
